The King of Fiore. He also serves as Mato, the mascot and referee of the Grand Magic Games.
- Abdicate the Throne: Sometime after the Alvarez war, he steps down as king of Fiore and passes the crown onto Hisui so he can retire.
- Art Evolution: As Mato, his mask's face goes through several changes very quickly over the Grand Magic Games arc. Compare his costume on the elimination round
◊, first day◊, and third day◊ of the games; his eyes and hat get progressively larger and closer together, and he loses his dark-colored lips. His appearance in the first anime series is a blend between his Day 1 and Day 3 looks, while the second series only uses his final look. - Ain't Too Proud to Beg: Despite his position as ruler of Fiore, he humbly asks the wizards for their help against the dragon invasion in the Grand Magic Games arc, and desperately begs Irene not to harm his daughter in the Alvarez Empire arc.
- Combat Commentator: He becomes a commentator the last day of the Grand Magic Games.
- Combat Referee: As Mato, this is his general role for the Grand Magic Games.
- Dramatic Unmask: Averted. He gives away his true identity in front of all the wizards in Crocus when out of costume.
- The Faceless: He was only shown with the lower half of his face until chapter 325.
- The Good King: He's a good and fair ruler who loves wizards and shows concern for the common citizens.
- King Incognito: Considering his disguise was Mato.
- Large Ham: As Mato, he is a singing, dancing man in a giant pumpkin mask. Plus he makes his debut via a gigantic magic hologram. This is justified since he's putting on a show for the kingdom.
- Mascot: As Mato, he serves as the Grand Magic Games' mascot.
- Meaningful Name: "Mato" comes from the Japanese name of the Grand Magic Games (Dai Matou Enbu).
- Miniature Senior Citizens: Barely tall enough to reach past his own guards' waists.
- Reasonable Authority Figure: He immediately orders the evacuation of all citizens in the capital after being told of the coming dragons and begs the magic guilds for help in case some of the dragons survive. He also pardons Natsu for melting Domus Flau and later defacing his castle with letters made of fire (albeit flames that don't spread across the building), owing to his repeated efforts at saving the kingdom.
- Significant Anagram: Rearrange Mato's name and you get you get "Toma".
- Verbal Tic: Him using the Grand Magic Games mascot Mato's Verbal Tic "Kapo"note is what reveals him to be Mato during the Grand Magic Games.
- You Monster!: He calls Irene Belserion a monster after she callously turns Hisui into a mouse right in front of him.
Hisui E. Fiore

Hisui is the daughter of King Toma's, and the crown princess of Fiore. She is also the true mastermind of the Eclipse Plan, a project meant to end Zeref's menace. Following the advice of a certain individual from the future, however, she has prepared another plan, Eclipse 2, to save Fiore from a more imminent threat.
- Adaptational Badass: The anime-only Eclipse Celestial Spirit arc reveals that she is actually a celestial wizard. While she doesn't summon spirits like Lucy and Yukino, she does join the two in casting the ultra-powerful Star Power spell Gottfried to thwart Eclipse Ophiuchus' ritual.
- All for Nothing: Even without the dragons pouring through the Eclipse Gate, her plan was doomed to failure from the very beginning. As later revealed during the Alvarez Empire arc, the Eclipse Gate needs to be opened on both sides for it to function. Before Zeref became immortal, the Eclipse Gate only existed as schematics on paper, abandoned as yet another implausible attempt to save Natsu's life. It wasn't built until much later, when Zeref, Anna Heartfilia, and Igneel concocted their plan to kill Acnologia.
- Batman Gambit: She deliberately throws Natsu and his friends into the Palace of Hades under the pretense of them being "thieves" to rescue Arcadios, who otherwise would have been killed by the Hungry Wolf Knights.
- Color Motif: Jade green, being the colour of her hair, and her name translates to jade.
- Cool and Unusual Punishment: The anime adds a scene during the Grand Magic Ball where Hisui gets punished by her father for nearly destroying the kingdom... by having to wear a pumpkin mask for a week. He promises to acquit her once she carries out her "sentence".
- Curtains Match the Window: She has matching green hair and green eyes.
- Forced to Watch: She opens the Eclipse Gate to let the dragons out to start the catastrophe in Fiore. Sure enough, she is horrified by the subsequent destruction of Crocus.
- Forced Transformation: Irene transforms her into a mouse in the Alvarez Empire arc just to spite her father. She returns to normal after Irene's death.
- The High Queen: At the end of Fairy Tail, she ascends to the throne of Fiore shortly after her father steps down. Among her first acts are to restore peaceful relations with the Alvarez Empire and absolve Crime Sorcière of all their crimes, proving herself a highly beloved and devoted ruler.
- Lady and Knight: The Bright Lady to Arcadios' White Knight, though they don't appear to be romantically linked. She does, however, show concern when he holds a sword to his own neck for doubting her, and orders him to point his sword in the right direction, where it can protect her people. She is always shown looking out for their benefit.
- Meaningful Name: "Hisui" is Japanese for "jade". She uses this to her advantage to distract Zirconis, the Jade Dragon, by giving him his nickname while he is forced to return to the past.
- Missing Mom: There's absolutely no mention of her mother or acknowledgement of her existence. Not even in flashbacks.
- Must Make Amends: She actively assists Fairy Tail in an anime Filler arc where the celestial spirits become corrupted by the power of Eclipse, mainly because she is the one responsible for using the gate in the first place. Unfortunately, she just becomes another Unwitting Pawn in another villain's scheme.
- My God, What Have I Done?: Hisui becomes stricken with guilt after realizing her recklessness in inadvertently causing the catastrophe in Fiore.
- Rank Scales with Asskicking: Zig-Zagged. Her father, the king, is never shown to have any magical power. Hisui, on the other hand, is confirmed in the anime to be a celestial wizard with powerful magic, and is willing to kick major ass if needed.
- Reasonable Authority Figure: Despite being behind the Eclipse Plan and its possible ramifications, she is by no means a tyrant and genuinely loves the people of Fiore. After the war with the Alvarez Empire, she becomes queen and immediately begins fostering better relations with the empire to prevent another conflict. She even acquits Jellal and his guild for extra measure.
- Requisite Royal Regalia: She dresses exactly like you'd expect the princess of Fiore to dress: a pretty dress and a crown. Her "battle outfit" includes a fur coat.
- Royals Who Actually Do Something: She organized a seven-year plan in secret to rid the world of its greatest threat, and puts together another plan to counter a more imminent yet no less significant catastrophe.
- "Shaggy Dog" Story: Later chapters reveal the Eclipse Plan was doomed to fail no matter what happened, as Zeref was revealed to be the creator of the Eclipse Gate. Killing him before he became immortal or built the gate would cause a Grandfather Paradox, leaving time stuck in an endless loop. It's for that reason Zeref himself never used the gate for his own plans, instead opting to use the power of Fairy Heart in conjunction with a time rift to overwrite the timeline entirely. Essentially, all the damage Hisui indirectly caused with her plan in the Grand Magic Games arc truly was All for Nothing.
- Star Power: The anime reveals that she is a celestial wizard who constructed keys with which to seal the Eclipse spirits away. She is also given the ultra-powerful spell Gottfried, which utilizes the energy of the stars to cast and is not unlike Lucy's ultimate attack, Urano Metoria.
- Tears of Fear: She cries in shock when she realizes that she caused the apocalypse that will plague Fiore.
- Tears of Remorse: When Hisui realizes that she caused the catastrophe in the first place, she's so devastated that she bursts into tears.
- Thousand-Yard Stare: She can only stare off into empty space when the dragons enter the Eclipse Gate. At least until Lucy snaps her out of it.
- The Ugly Guy's Hot Daughter: She definitely didn't get her looks from her father.
- Unwitting Pawn:
- She never realizes that she's merely being used by Rogue's alternative counterpart to destroy her kingdom until it's too late.
- Later in the anime-only Eclipse Celestial Spirit arc, she winds up playing right into Eclipse Ophiuchus' hands when she crafts keys designed to return the corrupted celestial spirits to their world, not realizing that doing so would put them in danger via the insane Celestial Spirit King.
- Watching Troy Burn: A downplayed example occurs in the Grand Magic Games arc. She helplessly watches the dragons attack Crocus and bursts into tears, although much of the city is left intact in the aftermath.
- Well-Intentioned Extremist: The Eclipse Plan entails killing Zeref before he became immortal. Seeing how several of the series' most significant events revolve around Zeref still being alive in the present, this would radically alter history in ways that are impossible to predict.
- The Woman Behind the Man: A benevolent example when it is revealed she is the true leader of the Eclipse Plan—which was concocted to save the world from Zeref—rather than Arcadios, who had been pulling a Zero-Approval Gambit to cover for her until then. Unfortunately for her, to make matters go From Bad to Worse, Future Rogue views Eclipse as a weapon of mass destruction and used Hisui as an Unwitting Pawn in his plans to Take Over the World.

Fiore's Minister of Defense. He is a reluctant participant in Arcadios' Eclipse Plan.
- Easily Forgiven: Arcadios seems to forgive or at least overlook the fact that Darton had him arrested and tossed into the Palace of Hades to be executed without trial.
- Godzilla Threshold: Once he learns about the Dragon threat, he changes his tune about Eclipse.
- Good is Not Nice: He locks up Lucy and Yukino for their involvement in the Eclipse Plan, though he makes it abundantly clear that the project poses a serious risk to the timeline.
- Good Scars, Evil Scars: Has a scar halfway across his nose.
- Ink-Suit Actor: Inverted. His English dub actor, J.B. Edwards, looks identical to him.
- Miniature Senior Citizens: He stands up to Arcadios's waist.
- Only Sane Man: Played with. He is Arcadios's only accomplice in the Eclipse Plan who actively speaks out against it, knowing the risks of messing with the timeline. However, not only does it turn out that Arcadios is a perfectly moral and willing scapegoat, but Darton's concerns are displaced by a more reasonable-sounding use of Eclipse.
- Reasonable Authority Figure: Even after arresting Lucy, he assures the rest of Fairy Tail that they can negotiate her release with the king if they win the Grand Magic Games. Fairy Tail isn't willing to take that risk, however.
- Unusual Eyebrows: His are T-shaped.
- Well-Intentioned Extremist: He eventually opposes the Eclipse Plan before it can start, but arrests Arcadios, Lucy, and Yukino just for being involved on Hisui's orders.

Royal Army
Royal Army in General
- Anti-Magic: The army has the Anti-Magic Squadron composed of soldiers with wizard hats and they wield special staffs to counter enemy wizards and their magic. Too bad that didn't work on Natsu when he was attacked by them in the back and casually shrugged off their attacks.
- The Ghost: The Holy Knights in the army have yet to appear especially its Sakura unit supposedly led by Arcadios.
- Mildly Military: There are some distinguished officers and soldiers who wear customized military uniforms and attires that make them stand out from the rank and file soldiers dressed in plate and mail as shown with Yukino as temporary sergeant and the Garou Knights.
- Militaries Are Useless: The Royal Army is as bad as the Magic Council's Rune Knights when it comes to trying to stop threats to the Kingdom of Fiore:
- In the anime, a battalion of Royal Army troops were deployed to protect Guild Masters from Eisenwald's assassination plot and tried to attack Lullaby in Demon form... only to understandably run away when the giant Demon of Zeref intimidated them with one magic attack that blew up an entire mountain next to them.
- In Key of the Starry Sky arc, the army failed to protect Zentopian churches from attacks by the Neo-Oración Seis and later tried to destroy the chain links of the unleashed Infinity Clock with a Magic artillery cannon which backfired on them.
- In the Grand Magic Games arc, the Royal Army could not do anything before the attack from Seven Dragons and even worse, Zirconis humiliated several soldiers into running away by vaporizing their armor.
- In the Alvarez Empire arc, the army was unable to repel an invasion of Alvarez forces, leaving the wizard guilds to step up and push the enemy back.
- Military Mage: The army has wizards in their ranks such as the Anti-Magic Squadron and the Garou Knights.
- Mooks: The army has a large amount of soldiers are their disposal.
- Zerg Rush: The army almost overwhelmed Natsu and his friends with greater numbers despite their opponents' strength blowing them away in every direction. Until Future Rogue intervened and swiftly dispatched the soldiers with his shadows.
Holy Knights

Commander Arcadios
Voiced by: Takaya Kuroda (Japanese); Major Attaway [2014–2018], Gabe Kunda [2018–2021] (English)note
Commander of the Fiore Kingdom's Holy Knights' Sakura Squadron. Very enigmatic and ambitious, he appears to be obsessed with Zeref and a project known as the Eclipse Plan that could potentially change the world.
- Badass Cape: He always wears a long-flowing cape to go with his armor.
- Badass Normal: He has no magic of his own apart from the protection of a magic jade charm, but his mad dash across the lava to save Lucy and Yukino cements him as this. The anime also shows him fighting off corrupted celestial spirits such as Pisces and Ophiuchus, and he handles himself pretty well.
- Baritone of Strength: He has a powerful and low voice befitting for a high-ranking captain.
- Bling of War: His White Lily Armor is much more pimped out than his ordinary suit, and he only wears it during states of national security.
- The Captain: He serves as commander of the Holy Knights' Sakura Squadron.
- Colonel Badass: He commands a unit of the Holy Knights, and is quite a decent fighter despite having no magic.
- The Comically Serious: Usually very serious and shady, but even he falls into this when the king asks to see a match between Bacchus and Erza. Arcadios mishears him and instead pits Bacchus against Elfman, which leads to the hilarious sight of seeing Arcadios sweat-dropping when the king angrily berates him for getting the match-up wrong.
- Cool Helmet: His White Lily Armor includes a magnificently plumed helmet that covers most of his head except for his mouth and chin.
- Determinator: He proves to be one when he wades through lava to save Lucy and Yukino.
- Everyone Has Standards: He angrily demands the referee stop Minerva's beatdown of Lucy.
- Evil Laugh: He lets out a villainous laugh when he finds out Yukino is also a celestial wizard. Of course, it's all part of the act.
- Gag Nose: It's long and has a sort of rectangular, wooden shape.
- Good All Along: When Fairy Tail stumbles upon the Eclipse Plan, his shady mannerisms and actions are all revealed to be an act to draw attention away from Hisui, the project's true mastermind.
- Heroic Build: He has quite the muscular body under all that armor, to the point that Horologium could barely hold him inside when he saved him from the lava.
- Heroic Sacrifice: He tries to make one to save Lucy and Yukino, but is saved by Horologium at the last second.
- Honor Before Reason: Honestly believes that, as a knight, questioning the words of his princess and confronting her about the true identity of her mysterious adviser is a serious enough crime to warrant her killing him with his own sword. Hisui doesn't share his thoughts.
- Inconsistent Spelling: The official anime website spells his name as "Archadious".
- Knight in Shining Armor: Once he discards his villainous act, he proves to be both selfless and honorable. This is even marked by him donning the White Lily Armor, which is pure white in color. His previous actions to ensure the success of the Eclipse Plan tarnishes the shine a bit, but it's quickly forgiven and forgotten.
- Lady and Knight: The White Knight to Princess Hisui's Bright Lady, because he is totally focused on his lady's safety and carrying out her wishes, in addition to protecting her kingdom. Though they don't appear to be romantically linked.
- Messy Hair: It's even mimicked by the plume on his helm.
- No One Could Survive That!: His lava plunge, which he manages to survive thanks to an enchanted jade necklace he received from Princess Hisui, which provides magical protection for him, though he still gets some terrible burns for his trouble, and he still would have died if Horologium didn't save him.
- Oh, Crap!: He and Hisui share an expression of dread when they realize there were two time travelers from the future.
- Psychotic Smirk: During his villainous act, he's prone to smirking unnervingly at the prospect of the Eclipse Plan's success.
- Red Herring: He's thought to be a villainous Zeref zealot, and the one behind the Eclipse Plan. It turns out Princess Hisui's the one behind it, and his rants about preparing something for "Lord Zeref" are just part of his attempts to cover for Hisui.
- Shoulders of Doom: In the anime, where his pauldrons are much bigger than in the manga.
- Silent Scapegoat: He paints himself as the mastermind of the morally ambiguous Eclipse Plan to cover for Hisui, the true mastermind.
- The Stoic: While prone to Psychotic Smirks and Evil Laughs during his villainous act, he assumes a serious and reserved attitude when revealed to be Good All Along.
- Well-Intentioned Extremist: The Eclipse Plan involves siphoning magic from unwitting wizards to power a Time Travel door for the sake of killing Zeref before he became immortal, which could potentially lead to even more devastating changes in the future. On top of that, he actually tries to kidnap Lucy to achieve this plan, though he fesses up to Fairy Tail and apologizes the first chance he gets.

Hungry Wolf Knights
A unit of wizards who support Fiore in secrecy by executing prisoners sent to the Palace of Hades, the kingdom's most foreboding dungeon.
Hungry Wolf Knights in General
- Adaptation Expansion: In one of the anime's most extreme cases of this trope, the length of the executioners' fight with Fairy Tail is expanded to the point where a meager half of a chapter is stretched into a single episode.note This leads to their fight running for four episodes. As such, they are given a plethora of new moves, and their interactions with their opponents become more personal.
- Badass Crew: Their fighting skills pose a moderate challenge for Fairy Tail.
- Beware the Silly Ones: Natsu and his friends at first didn't take the Hungry Wolf Knights seriously because of their appearances and quirky attitudes but Arcadios warns them of their Magic being designed to kill as part of their jobs as executioners and they are more than willing to demonstrate why.
- Carnival of Killers: They're on the kingdom's side, but they seem to take a bit too much pleasure in their job.
- Defeat Means Friendship: The anime shows them happily drinking with Fairy Tail long after their fight is over and done with. It's also revealed that they're the ones who booked Natsu and co.'s carriage ride home.
- Determinator: Even after getting their asses utterly trashed by Natsu and his friends, they keep going after them because they're just that determined to bring them to justice.
- The Dreaded: Because of their reputation, many fear them throughout the kingdom. Yukino also stated that the Hungry Wolf Knights were an urban legend in Fiore.
- Knight Templar: Any "sinners" who are dumped before them in the Palace of Hades are sentenced to instant death, even if it's for something as insignificant as stealing.
- Mass "Oh, Crap!": Even though they fight separately from each other, they each realize they're in over their heads fighting Fairy Tail at the same time once their opponents decide to get serious.
- Mildly Military: Members of the Hungry Wolf Knights are dressed like they're a group of guild wizards compared to the Royal Army who wear armor and military uniforms. In the anime, Uosuke explained that due to their unit's independent status, they're allowed to wear whatever they like.
- Professional Killer: Faithful to their reputation for execution, all the members of the group are murderers who have been killing all sorts of criminals sent to the Palace of Hades for years. Arcadios himself mentions that each of their forms of magic is specifically designed to kill.
- Punch-Clock Villain: Executing criminals is merely their job. Their only reason for fighting Fairy Tail is because Princess Hisui dropped them into the Palace of Hades, where the worst criminals are sent; they had no idea that Hisui did it just so Fairy Tail could save Arcadios after he was wrongfully imprisoned there.
- Punny Name: All their names contain a hidden pun or are meaningful if you know what they mean.
- Unexplained Recovery: Despite being devoured by Future Rogue's shadows, they show up at the Ball without comment.
- Worthy Opponent: They're implied to view Natsu as such in the anime, and look downright excited to chase him down after he returns from a year of self-imposed exile.
Scythe

The scythe-wielding leader of the Hungry Wolf Knights.
- Adaptational Badass: In the manga, he gets only a handful of few swings at Natsu before being beaten in a jiff. Thanks to a bit of Adaptation Expansion, the anime gives him a number of new moves to make him more of a challenge.
- Badass Armfold: He usually takes this stance whenever he's not holding his scythes.
- Badass Cape: Complete with a hood.
- Badass Normal: While his colleagues use flashy magics of various kinds, his only weapons are two oversized scythes. This is not the case in the anime, where his scythes have magic properties, making him a Holder-type wizard.
- Cool Mask: He's the most intimidating of the group thanks to his mask, which gets broken as Natsu defeats him.
- Creepy Shadowed Undereyes: Adds to his fierce appearance.
- Dual Wielding: His main fighting style, with two scythes.
- Dub Name Change: His Japanese name is "Kama", which literally means "scythe". Thus, the official English translations straight-up call him "Scythe".
- Fuuma Shuriken: In an anime-only scene, he combines the blades of both scythes to form a giant, glowing shuriken-like weapon, which can follow its target like a Precision-Guided Boomerang.
- In the Hood: He is hardly ever seen without it.
- Never Gets Drunk: In the anime, he, Cana, and Bacchus are the only ones left standing after a night of drinking.
- Off with His Head!: His preferred method of execution; he aims straight for Natsu's neck at the start of their fight.
- One-Handed Zweihänder: Has no problem at all using his gargantuan polearms with one hand each.
- Only Known by Their Nickname: His name was given to him by Mirajane in the Q&A trivia section of Volume 37, since Hiro Mashima neglected to give him a name in the manga. In the anime, Mira names him in the aftermath of their encounter.
- Power Nullifier: The anime gives his left scythe the power to cut through Natsu's fire attacks.
- Sinister Scythe: Two of them, and they're huge and vaguely shaped like wings.
- The Stoic: The only time he ever shows some emotion is when Natsu's about to defeat him.
Uosuke

An executioner dressed like a Japanese fisherman. His magic, Earth Effect, allows him to turn the terrain around him into hazardous environments at will.
- Accent Adaptation: He has a Southern accent in the English dub.
- Beware the Silly Ones: His ridiculous appearance and childlike demeanor fail to prepare Lucy and Yukino for his deadly magic.
- Dissonant Serenity: He executes his opponents with the same, blank smile frozen on his face.
- Dub Name Change: His magic, called Chikei Kouka in Japanese, is called "Earth Effect" by Kodansha and, more accurately, "Terrain Effect" by Funimation. Kodansha also describes his attacks as "Bands", while Funimation calls them "Zones".
- Elemental Powers: Due to his Earth Effect magic, he can cast spells based on what is around him.
- Gravity Master: His Gravity Zone alters the gravity of an area to either send others into the air or crashing down.
- Hoist by His Own Petard: He turns the arena into a pool of water to hinder Yukino's Pisces. Too bad this also lets Lucy summon her strongest spirit, Aquarius.
- An Ice Person: His anime-only Cold Zone freezes his surroundings.
- Lava Pit: His Lava Zone turns the floor around him into lava.
- Light 'em Up: His anime-only White Night Zone allows him to No-Sell Loke's light attacks with his own light.
- Making a Splash: His Whirlpool Zone floods his surroundings and creates a whirlpool.
- Meaningful Name: The "Uo" from his name means "fish", while "-suke" is a very common suffix for male nouns in Japan.
- Not-So-Harmless Villain: Lucy and Yukino think he's a small-fry until Arcadios points out that he doesn't leave any trace of his victims' bones. Then he turns the floor into lava.
- Psychopathic Manchild: He speaks with a childish voice and tone.
- Pungeon Master: He's prone to making several fishing-related puns in the English dub.
- That Makes Me Feel Angry: It's really hard to tell what emotion he's giving until he says so.
- Verbal Tic: "Tai", which means both "fish" (referencing his fisherman costume) and "zone" (referring to his magic).
Neppa

An executioner who prefers to melt his victims with magic acid.
- Acrofatic: Despite his huge girth, he's able to jump around and dodge Panther Lily's attacks with ease.
- All There in the Script: As he was submitted by fans as part of a character design contest, Neppa's name is mainly known from there. His name is first used openly in the anime.
- Arrogant Kung-Fu Guy: He's a good deal more talkative in the anime, prattling on and on about how strong his magic is. Lily takes this as a sign that he's just trying to cover his own insecurities. Neppa doesn't take kindly to that.

- Adaptation Dye-Job: Her hair is violet in the manga, but pink in the anime.
- Ambiguously Gay: She seems far too fond of Wendy in the anime, going as far as blushing when fighting her, caressing her face as she succumbs to her spores, and repeatedly calling her "beautiful". She also stated after Wendy started to get the upper hand against her in their solo fight that she "didn't love her anymore".
- Character Catchphrase: Says the word "beautiful" a lot.
- Does Not Like Men: In the anime, she is shown to hold flirtatious men like Loke in disdain, and pointedly says that Natsu isn't "beautiful".
- Flower Motif: She uses flower-based magic, has a floral attire, and appears in a rose when she teleports.

A executioner whose magic, Paper Storm, can conjure flurries of paper that produce different effects based on their color.
- Adaptation Dye-Job: Her hair is brown in the manga and black in the anime.
- Adaptational Badass: She lasts a bit longer against Mirajane in the anime once her opponent goes into Satan Soul mode, though her extra spells only serve to delay her inevitable beatdown.
- Braids of Action: She has two hair rings in addition to her massive ponytails.
- Color-Coded Elements: Each paper has a different color that produces a different effect, such as fire (red), paralysis (purple), and poison (green). The anime cranks up the color by adding frost and lightning to the mix, among several others.
- Curb-Stomp Battle: She's on the end of this once Mirajane stops holding back and uses Satan Soul to destroy her.
- Demon Slaying: In the anime, she tries purging Mirajane's Satan Soul with black paper. It doesn't work.
- Dub Name Change: Her Paper Storm has been called "Confetti" by Crunchyroll, and "Paper Blizzard" by Funimation.
- Girlish Pigtails: They stretch down far beyond her knees.
