  • Happily Adopted: Sara accepts her robotic parents completely, aside from the normal resistance to restricting her freedom to protect her from her own reckless actions.
  • Heroic B So D: Sara suffers this when her adoptive parents are reprogrammed and Zero attempts to "eliminate" her. She's horrified by the aftermath of her actions and it also proves Zero's point to the pro-human robots about humans being violent.

  • An Arm and a Leg: Zero's fate at the end of the series, when after realizing he was human all along, protects Sara from being crushed to death by his giant mecha. Losing both of his legs in the process. His consciousness is then transferred into the robot dog.
  • Evil Overlord: Zero rules his robotic utopia with an iron fist.
  • Red Eyes, Take Warning: He has six glowing red eyes.
  • Tin Tyrant: Zero has a spiky black armor on his robotic body, has a red cape on his right shoulder, and he is pretty much of an example of a robotic dark lord.
  • Trigger: Zero gets triggered when Sara cries out for her dad. Because it reminded him of his dead daughter.
  • Would Harm a Child: Zero has no qualms in attempting to murder a teenage girl for the sake of all robotkind, which helps clue the audience in that Zero is not an actual robot.
  • You Are What You Hate: Zero is actually a human scientist named Dr. Weston Fields who had his memories erased and transferred his mind to a robot after losing faith in humanity.
