     In General
  • Adaptational Backstory Change: Rather than alien creatures created to serve as peacemakers, Mogwai are daimon that guard the Lazarus Pits.
  • Adaptational Superpower Change: Instead of multiplying just by being sprayed with water, a Mogwai or Gremlin only multiplies when sprayed with water from the Lazarus pits. They also only turn into Gremlins after overeating things like junk food.
  • Always Chaotic Evil: Gremlins are for the most part malevolent pranksters with very few exceptions.
  • Ambiguous Gender: While it's not obvious at first glance, Mogwai do have genders and can reproduce in the conventional way.

  • Cute Is Evil: Most Mogwai are small and look harmless, but once they're turned into gremlins, all that changes.

  • Tertiary Sexual Characteristics: Only a few male gremlins have hair, while all known females do have. Females also have bust lines and are slightly more slender than males.
  • Weakened by the Light: While they don't melt or burn under sunlight, both Mogwai and Gremlins are vulnerable to bright lights thanks to their nocturnal adaptations.
