"I happen to know for a fact we shall meet again in the future. But until then... farewell, weary traveler. May you find your answers in the present world!"

Voiced by: Inrezairo

A mysterious fortune teller who spends her time inside one of the closets within Crafty's lair, Madame Crystelle is a sentient crystal ball introduced in Season 3, alongside her spin-off series; Crafty’s Questionable Qloset. Unlike Crafty’s other companions and spin-offs, Crystelle hosts the Questionable Qloset herself, going through great efforts to maintain a relaxing atmosphere to help her concentrate. Whenever her calm vibes are interrupted, she becomes flustered and tries hard to reestablish them. But when Crystelle is in her element, she demonstrates a deep knowledge about the universe she resides in, and even a tiny hint of ego regarding her skills. She always looks forward to answering peoples’ queries (albeit at a tiny financial cost) in the hopes that her powers will put them on the right path.

Sometime before meeting Crafty, Crystelle worked as a fortune teller in a Las Vegas casino. She helped people predict the outcomes of their next games and helped many people win big. However, when the casino caught on to her actions, she was promptly fired and was left wandering the streets for quite a while. Sometime before or after this, she also had a failed relationship with Jedah Dohma, who continues to harass her to this day. Thankfully, she received a glimmer of hope when Crafty discovered her. After deeming her a great fit for the Crafty Crew, he appointed her as his public relations specialist, and she happily indulges the audience and her fellow Crewmates' curiosity to this day.

Crystelle was created by Dollwoman, and their original concept art for Crystelle can be found here.

  • Amicable Exes: Crystelle reveals in "Return to the Qloset" that she and Jedah Dohma used to be lovers during Jedah's college days, but they parted on bitter terms and haven't recovered since. She looks upon their failed relationship with disdain, especially since nowadays, Jedah uses his legal skills to try and fail to discredit Crystelle's powers in court. She at least enjoys his ads on the show, whenever they appear.
  • Ascended Extra: Despite being a core cast member and helming her own spin-off show, Crystelle is otherwise quite insulated from the cast throughout much of Season 3, her debut. It's not until "Magic Kingdom Mania" and the Spin-off Special that she gets to interact with the cast a bit more. She continues to be included in the cast's ensemble interactions throughout the Season 4 Premiere Month and onward.
  • Astonishingly Appropriate Appearance: Crystelle's girdle resembles the decorative base of a typical crystal ball, complete with ornate shapes. It also bears a unique, dark color that keeps the rest of Crystelle in focus while downplaying itself, much like how a crystal ball's base doesn't distract from the ball it holds.
  • Cards of Power: To pick out what questions to answer for each Questionable Qloset segment, Crystelle randomly draws a card from a Dr. Crafty-themed Tarot deck—the Crystellium Cards.
    • Almost every main character is included in the deck to represent the typical twenty-two major arcana found in most other Tarot decks. Some gag characters and variations of main characters are also included to fill in what would otherwise be vacant spots. Each card houses a random question about whoever is depicted on them, with a voiceover accompanying each question shown on-screen. The questions are different every time a card is drawn. Amusingly, there are a few cards that Crystelle dreads drawing, such as The Justice (represented by her bitter ex-boyfriend, Jedah Dohma), and The Hermit (represented by her perennial annoyance, Disgustilda).
    • At least one of every question drawn in each episode pertains to the monthly theme in some way. The sole exceptions tend to be the last Questionable Qloset episodes of the seasons, which either establish new plot threads for later or tie into a season's overall theme.
      • The final question of Season 3's Qloset segment in the Hero Month Spin-Off Special presents some foreshadowing for the void entity formally introduced in "Let's. Get. Metal."
      • The final question of "Revolving Door" is answered with a lengthy gag housing the most cameo appearances on the show, along with some of the raunchiest gags yet. This answer ties into Season 4's main theme of hedonism.
  • Celestial Body: To interact with others, Crystelle forms a psychic construct body helmed by her crystal ball head. The body is pink, complementing her purple outfit and head. Unless Crystelle is simplified, it also displays stars within itself thanks to a galaxy overlay effect, to hint at its magically artificial nature. Crystelle discusses why she uses this body in "Return to the Qloset":
Crystelle: I've never been human. I have been what I am for as long as the arcane has existed. My cosmic body you see before you is merely an extension of my own magic. All my power comes from my crystal ball—certainly a much more appealing form than sitting on a table collecting dust, am I right? Hmhm...
  • Chrome Dome Psi: By virtue of being a crystal ball, Crystelle's head couldn't grow hair even if it tried. However, in turn, Crystelle has fantastic psychic powers, specializing in clairvoyance and teleportation. The former serves as her means to answer the audience's questions, while she always uses the latter to introduce herself in each Questionable Qloset segment.
  • Cold Ham: While emotive, Crystelle expresses herself quietly compared to her coworkers. Nevertheless, she compensates for her lack of volume with a dramatic, grand flair in her dialogue. She speaks slowly and deliberately, warmly enunciating each word and pausing for emphasis wherever appropriate. The Hero Month Spin-Off Special highlights just how different her speech is compared to her coworkers. It's especially noticeable during the Special's Chara-Cafe segment, which is Crystelle's first time commentating over art production.
  • The Comically Serious: While she grows more lenient with her job over time, Crystelle is quite serious about her work on the Questionable Qloset, preferring to operate alone so she can answer questions in peace.
    • It's rather noticeable that she withholds her appearances on the main show for most of Season 3. Even her debut is in "Enter the Qloset," which is the Questionable Qloset's first episode, rather than a main show episode like every other spin-off host. Thus, outside of the Qloset, Crystelle's only appearances before the finale month are her silent cameo in "GEMS! Truly Outrageous," and her first voiced appearance on the main show in "Magic Kingdom Mania." It's not until after Crystelle spends time with Pepper and Messi during the Hero Month Spin-Off Special that she starts feeling comfortable commentating alongside her coworkers. After that, starting with Season 4, she makes a point to join her fellow Crewmates whenever they all interact on the main show, though she still has slightly more professionalism by comparison
    • Crystelle's distaste for distraction is first hinted at during "Return to the Qloset," the first time where Crystelle experiences an uninvited guest on her show. Crafty suddenly, briefly drops by to finish answering the episode's first question about his zombie staff. Crystelle watches him leave with apparent annoyance, then rather abruptly moves on to the next question.
Crystelle: As for how they got turned into zombies—
      [Crafty suddenly appears.]
Crafty: Hey, I found them like that. They started college as normal humans and came out looking like this. So don't blame me!
[Crafty exits while Crystelle quietly shoots him a dirty look as she watches him go. Suddenly, not a half-second after Crafty exits, the card selection screen appears.]
Crystelle: Let's find out what's on Card Number 2...
    • Sometimes, Crystelle completely loses her composure whenever other characters' silly antics bleed into her environment. She'll actively fight to reestablish her calm atmosphere so she can get right back to work. No character provokes such a reaction better than Disgustilda, one of the few people that Crystelle cannot understand despite her all-knowing power. Whereas the other Crewmates are annoyed by Disgustilda at worst, Crystelle tends to regard her with utter contempt. "Atop the 4th Door" is the first time these two meet in person, and both times Disgustilda appears, Crystelle raises her voice in confusion and mild fear, and after calming down, she unceremoniously teleports Disgustilda out of the Qloset.
      Disgustilda: HELLO!!
Crystelle: Ah— you?! What... are you - How did you get in here?!
Disgustilda: Oi, I thought you were supposed to know everything! I came in through the window!
Crystelle: This... This is a closet. There aren't any windows.
Disgustilda: Yeah, I know mate—made it bloody difficult, that's for sure. But where there's a will, there's a way!
[Disgustilda peers outside the new window, where a stock image of a construction worker awaits her.]
      Disgustilda: Thanks, Will!
      Will: 'Salright, mate.
[A bewildered Crystelle peers out at Will from behind Disgustilda. The two women then resume their conversation.]
Crystelle: I don't even... Okay, why are you here?
Disgustilda: Do you have a lightbulb I could borrow?
      Crystelle: Ugh... Out with you!
[Using her magic, Crystelle makes Disgustilda disappear in a puff of smoke.]
  • Crystal Ball: Crystelle reveals in "Return to the Qloset" that she herself is a sentient crystal ball; the body that the ball is a part of is merely an extension of it. She could easily serve her purpose as a Seer without forming a body for herself, but she finds doing so to be much more interesting than perpetually sitting on a table.
  • Establishing Character Moment: When she introduces herself in "Enter the Qloset," Crystelle strokes her ego a bit as she explains how her show works. She confidently sells herself as an all-knowing force, briefly stresses that her services are not free, makes grand gestures with her arms, and shows off her lesser psychic powers before she applies her main skills in clairvoyance for her segment's first three questions. It's very noticeable that she accomplishes her introduction alone, with Crafty not physically appearing in the episode at all. This noticeable separation from Crafty ties into how tonally different Crystelle and her show are from the other Dr. Crafty segments. Whereas much of Dr. Crafty is energetically zany and weird, Crystelle prefers to keep her Questionable Qloset segments quiet and relaxed.
[Crystelle makes her grand entrance with a puff of smoke.]
Crystelle: Welcome, welcome, welcome, weary traveler! It would seem that fate has led you here to my Questionable Qloset, where you have all the questions, and I—The Mistress of Mystery, Madame Crystelle—have all the answers.
[After Crystelle flashes a pose, her Crystellium Cards quickly fly past the screen as a psychic rune glows behind her.]
Crystelle: It is here that I use my power of the cards and stars to pull back the curtain of the unknown, and for a small fee, answer your most curious of questions! So... allow me to be your guide through the world of secrets! 'How,' you ask? The answer... is in the cards!
[Crystelle flashes yet another pose as her eyes glow white, and with a puff of smoke, the scene transitions to Crystelle's Crystellium Cards stacked together. Crystelle now speaks from off-screen.]
Crystelle: Behold, my Crystellium Cards! Each time you come to my Qloset, I shall draw three cards and answer a question about those revealed upon it. Now... Let's draw the first card...
  • Extradimensional Power Source: Crystelle keeps herself nourished strictly with the cosmic energies that flow through her Qloset, which exhibits some unusual qualities.
    • This fact is first explained in "The Little Purple House," along with how the Qloset fuels her psychic abilities—including her ability to maintain her psychic construct body. Should she be away from the Qloset for too long, she would lose her corporeal form until her spirit returns to the Qloset. The Qloset also serves as a means to revive Crystelle, as shown in "ADnDiction" after her spirit is ripped away from the mortal plane in "Let's. Get. Metal..."
    • In "I Need a Hero Academia," Screw's data files contain a layout of the Crew's castle with some notes. There's a peculiar remark about the Qloset—apparently, nothing was behind the door when Screw opened it, leading her to conclude that Crystelle acts as a key to the room. Her conclusion further implies that the Qloset is a pocket dimension.
    • Should she need to change locations, Crystelle can carry the Qloset in her pocket and set up shop elsewhere. This ability is first alluded to in "Happy Crafty Day," when Crystelle mentions needing to carry the Qloset with her while looking for work. It's later demonstrated in full in "Kerchoo," where Crystelle holds her Questionable Qloset segment for High School Month on Stylene's prison bus.
Crystelle: Welcome, weary travelers, to my—Oh, right; we're on the road this time. Well, fortunately, I have just the thing—
[Crystelle shows a tiny Qloset door that appears in her hand]
Crystelle: —for situations where I'm fortune-telling on the road.
[With a ding, the camera zooms in for a closer look at the door, then zooms out to show a gleeful Crystelle.]
      Crystelle: It's travel-size! Huhuhu~!
      [A Rimshot plays.]
  • Greed: Crystelle loves doing business whenever she can; doing so sates her unabashed love for money. She's very upfront about the transactional nature of her services, and her monetary concerns slip out on occasion throughout the series.
    • Midway through her introduction in "Enter the Qloset," Crystelle places mildly firm emphasis on how her services cost a small fee. She even gives the camera a knowing glance to drive the point home.
    • The last question of "The Little Purple House" asks Crystelle about her and Sasha's modeling careers. Crystelle's was short-lived, as she modeled for a magazine that catered to fellow psychics... who used their powers to see the contents of each magazine before they were even written. Sasha's was similarly short-lived, but unlike Crystelle's, it made way for her eventual success in filmmaking—which Crystelle clearly wishes that she had.
Crystelle: Sasha has indeed also been in the modeling front, being that exotic, blue-skinned beauty, after all. But she found it more comfortable behind the camera instead. Some people have all the luck, apparently...
    • According to her backstory given in "Happy Crafty Day," Crystelle used to be a Las Vegas fortune teller, accurately predicting the outcomes of peoples' games at a nearby casino. She was eventually kicked out because, as she implies, her business proved to be too successful for the casino to handle.
    • Not even Crystelle's coworkers are exempt from paying for her services!
      • When Crafty approaches her in "Magic Kingdom Mania" to discuss her part of his theme park idea, Crafty asks her a question as part of normal conversation. Crystelle jumps at the opportunity to advertise her services to him, even though she knew ahead of time that he wouldn't play along.
Crystelle: Crafty, I don't need clairvoyance to see that this whole scheme of yours is a disaster waiting to happen. But, y'know... It's kind of my thing, so—yes. This is a disaster literally waiting to happen.
Crafty: Oh, come now. What's the worst that could possibly happen?
Crystelle: Well, for a dollar, I can tell you—
Crafty: Oh no, you don't! You're squeezing blood from a stone if you think I'm paying for your psychic services! Sheesh, you're almost as much of a shill as I am...
Crystelle: *Sigh*... I foresaw that wouldn't work, and yet I'm still disappointed.
      • In "We're Back! A Crafty Story," Nurse enters Crystelle's closet in hopes of learning about the Infinia. Nurse doesn't give Crystelle a chance to request for money; she just forces a dollar bill into her hands and firmly demands her help. After her initial shock, Crystelle gets right down to business.
    • "Host Club Hysterics" sees the Crafty Crew saddled with debt thanks to damaging a highly expensive Ouran Academy statue. Kyoya calculates the damages and announces the grand total to the Crewmates, and out of everyone, Crystelle takes it the hardest. Whereas the other Crewmates look reasonably surprised, she looks like she's on the verge of a breakdown.
  • Has a Type: Crystelle prefers burly, powerful men and sometimes can't help but make playful remarks about them. Throughout the Hero Month Spin-Off Special's "Top Ten Super Heroes" list, Crystelle becomes absolutely smitten with some of the men shown on the list. The first to catch her attention is Hellboy, and the moment that he appears onscreen, Crystelle can't help but make a lewd comment. Ironically, it's Messi who tells her to reel it in.
[An image of Ron Perlman as Hellboy appears onscreen, proudly bearing his huge, muscular chest and abs.]
Crystelle: Wellllll, hello there~. Is that an oversized Magnum in your pocket, or are we just pleased to see me~?
Messi: Ah-Ah-Ah! Only enough room for one thirsty girl on this cast!
[As Messi continues her commentary, an annoyed Crystelle chooses to leave and let Pepper take her place. Crystelle doesn't return until the discussion about the next hero begins.]
  • Hidden Depths: In "School Days of Yesterpast," Crystelle opens up to Messi about how she's questioning her usefulness to the Crew; her limitations as a psychic weigh upon her more as Mindstein grows more involved in the Crew's affairs. This is the first time on the show in which Crystelle willingly demonstrates such vulnerability to anyone.
Messi: So! How's the search coming along, Crys?
    [A concerned Crystelle remains silent.]
Messi: ... Aheh, what? Crafty got a bad detention record or something?
Crystelle: Far worse, unfortunately. While I did find all possible information on Crafty's time at this school, I couldn't find anything about Nurse. It's strange... Perhaps Mindstein had Nurse's old student records erased a long time ago.
Messi: Shouldn't you already know about Ms. Brain-in-a-Jar, and what she's planning thanks to your, y'know... psychic powers?
Crystelle: Sadly... I cannot trust my visions anymore when it comes to her. Assuming she can use the same tachyon tech Metal Crafty utilizes on herself, it will prevent me from even seeing her plans ahead of time... Only when we are in the face of danger against her, it seems... Quite frankly, these thoughts have caused me to feel... unreliable, as of late.
Messi: Don't worry, Snowglobe. I'm sure we'll figure this all out.
    Crystelle: Yes...
  • I Am Very British: She speaks with a refined British accent, which helps convey her elegant and mystical nature.
  • Leitmotif: Crystelle tends to be associated with softer music than what is typical of the Crafty Crewmates.
    • invoked Crystelle's main theme tune is the Questionable Qloset's theme. It is very different in tone from the other Crewmates' music, being a soft orchestral piece to fit with Crystelle's calmer personality compared to everyone else. According to Alex, this distinction is very deliberate—the production staff even hired a different composer from the other tunes to make the piece stand out that much further.
Alex: The intro theme for Questionable Qloset (created by Ninichi) was largely inspired by the Poirot TV series opening theme, which helped add that feeling of mystery and intrigue to show, befitting the show host; Crystelle's mysterious and alluring character.
The reason I felt Ninichi would best fit this new series, is unlike the last 3 shows which all have a more lighthearted goofy tone to them, this show needed something more classical to create a stronger contrast between Crystelle's show and the rest of the casts'. So Ninichi's instrumentations really help this show stand out from the rest on the channel.
    • By default, Questionable Qloset episodes have a certain smooth jazz tune playing in the background. It's congruous with the relaxing atmosphere of Crystelle and her room, achieving the very same goal as the Questionable Qloset's theme. Later episodes, starting with "Kerchoo," make a point to interrupt the music whenever a wacky character shows up, embodying how jarring these characters tend to be for Crystelle. The original tune quickly returns once the distraction is over—or if Crystelle forcefully removes it from her show.
  • Loner-Turned-Friend: Throughout most of Season 3, it's clear that Crystelle would rather commentate over Dr. Crafty from afar than participate in its chaos herself. Not only does she host her show alone, but she takes great issue with the show's many spontaneous guests. She's quick to forcibly remove them from her presence so she can return to a calmer headspace, as she does in "Atop the 4th Door" whenever Disgustilda appears. However, the Hero Month Spin-Off Special sees Crystelle's distance start to close; per Pepper's suggestion to keep themselves occupied through their imprisonment, she and her fellow spin-off co-hosts work together to continue their respective shows. It's thanks to Pepper's idea that Crystelle forms genuine bonds with her coworkers and starts really enjoying co-commentating. After she and the others are rescued, she partakes in the main show segments of Season 4 with the other Crewmates to continue indulging this interest.
  • Madame Fortune: Crystelle is a fortune-teller who uses her skills to answer the audience’s questions about the Dr. Crafty universe. However, she mostly focuses on questions regarding the past and present, due to how limited her future sight is. The latter got her into some trouble back when she told fortunes in a Las Vegas casino, which she discusses in "Happy Crafty Day," as the Crew's ladies reminisce about how they met Crafty.
Crystelle: I was once a fortune teller in a Vegas casino. I used to give accurate hints about what games would give them profit, and sadly, I got fired and booted out onto the street for... obvious reasons. With only my closet door on my back, I hitchhiked around until Crafty eventually found me and brought me here. It was so strange, though. Throughout my existence, I could predict the future with no real surprises. But Crafty... found a way to surprise me.
  • Magical Barefooter: Tying in with her nature as a fortune-teller, Crystelle who doesn't wear any shoes on her construct body. The closest things that she has to footwear are the golden rings hovering just above her ankles.
  • Neverending Terror: In the Hero Month Spin-Off Special, Crystelle receives a question about whether Disgustilda will become a credible threat to the Crafty Crew. Crystelle gazes into the future for a possible answer, and she sees something that causes her to faint after screaming at length. The incident remains on her mind since then, at times leaving Crystelle feeling very vulnerable.
    • She first voices her concerns about this horrifying vision—and others like it since then—throughout the Season 4 Premiere Month.
      • In "We're Back! A Crafty Story," She tries discussing the matter with Crafty, who visits her as part of a gag. Since the Special, Crystelle has felt a powerful presence holding back her powers, and it's making her feel helpless. Unfortunately, Crafty doesn't pay her concerns any mind and hurries off to finish his art for the day, to which Crystelle urges him to come back and talk once he's finished.
      • Later, in "Migraine Over Matter," Crystelle reveals that the incident during the Special left her feeling very ill. She noticeably doesn't talk as much as she usually does, relying on a lengthy Cutaway Gag for the first question, then letting Jedah's interruption act as her answer for the third question. She thankfully bounces back somewhat in time for "ENDGAME SPOILERS!"
    • In "Let's. Get. Metal," Crystelle comes face to face with the entity that has haunted her since the Special. Just as she rescues Crafty and Nurse from the entity's dimension, the entity reaches through Crystelle's own portal and whisks her spirit away, leaving behind Crystelle's lifeless crystal ball. Stylene hurries the ball back into the Qloset, allowing Crystelle's spirit to return and reinhabit its body. Crystelle's resurrection is shown in "ADnDicction," and whatever she had seen in the entity's dark dimension shook her severely.
[After the intro, Crystelle's crystal ball floats into the Qloset, upon which her spirit repossesses the ball and reforms her construct body, all in a single puff of smoke. Now revived, Crystelle is left clutching her head in fright.]
Crystelle: AHHH! ... What happened? How did I...? What? ... O-oh! Oh, um...
[Crystelle realizes where she is and regains her composure—but only somewhat.]
Crystelle: Welcome... everyone, to my Questionable Qloset. Ughh... Do forgive me. I was, um... going... through a bit of a... uhhhh.... Out-of-body experience. I'm, eugh... still not all here, it seems. B-But you've gone through the trouble of coming and waiting for me to get a hold of myself, as it were. Ah... So, I shan't let you leave without some lovely lore. Will... certainly take my mind off of whatever it was that shattered my very being amongst the ether.
  • No Mouth: Crystelle's psychic construct body doesn't allow for a mouth, as her only facial feature is her eyes within her crystal ball head. Her speech is presumably delivered telepathically. Hilariously, even she sometimes forgets that she has no mouth, such as in "Migraine Over Matter" when she futilely tries to take Advil for her headache.
[Crystelle appears in a puff of purple smoke, and she seems severely out of it.]
Crystelle: ... Mmmm... Oh, ugh... Hello, everyone... Welcome to my Questionable... mmph... You'll have to forgive me. After last season's finale, I've had the worst headache.
[Crystelle readies a bottle of Advil.]
Crystelle: Just... should take... something... for it...
[Crystelle tries pouring some pills directly into where her mouth would be. The pills ineffectually bounce off of her head, to which she looks bewildered, then extremely annoyed. She growls in frustration.]
  • Non-Human Head: Crystelle has a crystal ball head that contains her spirit, and it doesn't provide any facial features except her eyes. The head is responsible for creating and maintaining Crystelle's psychic construct body, a fact that is established in "Return to the Qloset."
  • Non-Standard Character Design: A galaxy photo is applied to Crystelle's head, body, and cloak in most of her artwork. While that effect is omitted in some pieces, there is one constant no matter how simple her renders are: a pink gradient effect shining against the outline of Crystelle's head from the inside, which persists even in flat color renders. Both of these details together make Crystelle's design somewhat more visually complex compared to other characters on the show.
  • Older Than They Look: At face value, Crystelle appears to be within the same age group as her coworkers: late twenties to early thirties. However, she is explicitly far older than them; she first hints at her age when explaining her rocky history with Jedah Dohma in "Return to the Qloset."
Crystelle: Ughhhh.... Jedah & Jedah and I go way, way back. College fling, you see. Terribly embarrassing, in hindsight and foresight. Things... didn't work out, and now he's spent millennia trying to debunk me as a 'crackpot psychic!' If that's not the definition of 'petty,' I don't know what is... Still, his ads on Crafty's show are pretty hilarious.
  • The Omniscient: Crystelle uses her clairvoyance and other psychic abilities to keep herself as informed as possible about her universe. The entire premise of Crafty's Questionable Qloset rests on these all-knowing eyes of hers.
    • Using her abilities, she is able to answer most questions about the Dr. Crafty universe that the audience may have. Her fellow Crewmates also sometimes seek her out to answer their own questions. One such interaction occurs in "We're Back! A Crafty Story," when Nurse approaches Crystelle about the Infinia, their history, and their legacy. Crystelle obliges, demonstrating a vast knowledge of the topic that is only matched by Sasha and Stanford Pines' Journal, both of which explain the same to the other Crewmates elsewhere in the castle.
    • Unfortunately, for all her power, even Crystelle encounters some limitations; under normal circumstances, she's held back by cosmic obligations, but her antagonists have discovered ways to impede her directly.
      • In "Enter the Qloset," Crystelle receives a question regarding whether she can warn her coworkers about any oncoming danger that she could see through her clairvoyance. She explains that, while she is aware of several futures, she can only see as far as how the future plays out in that very moment. Her future vision would be blurred if she tried to factor in the nigh-infinite possible changes that others can make to change a future's course. This limitation greatly limits how she can help out the Crew through her clairvoyance alone, not helped by how she's forced to let certain events play out without intervening.
      • After Mindstein captures them in "Magic Kingdom Mania," a frustrated Messi presses Crystelle about why she couldn't use her sight beyond sight to help prevent Mindstein's attack. Crystelle reveals yet one more caveat behind her powers that greatly holds her back: she can't see into her own future.
Crystelle: Complaining about this won't make it any better... And it's giving me a headache.
Messi: Oh yeah, miss mystic? Then how come you—in all your 'supreme psychic power'—couldn't tell us we were going to be captured?!
Crystelle: Ugh... If you must know... I cannot see my own future. Since I was captured at the exact same time as you, I couldn't predict your captures, either.
Pepper: I suppose a fortune teller who can predict their own fate would make them ridiculously powerful...
Crystelle: It's a necessary limitation, so as not to distort my own timeline and protect the space-time continuum...
      • In "Let's. Get. Metal," Metal Crafty attacks, and Crafty puts himself and the rest of the Crew on lockdown thanks to a security system. Yet somehow, throughout all of this, Crystelle remains entirely unaware of the situation until Crafty asks for her help over the phone. Metal is trying to force open the door to Crafty's hiding spot, and Crafty needs a prediction of how much time he and Nurse have to come up with a counterattack plan. With her psychic vision, Crystelle gets a feel of the situation after some confusion... but her confusion grows into alarm when Metal doesn't appear at all through her psychic vision. Only the sparks from his hands wearing down the security door are visible.
[The following conversation takes place over the Crew's group phone call.]
Crafty: Listen up, co-hosts! We're under attack!
Messi: Again?! We're not even at the season finale yet!
Crafty: There's a robot version of me trying to kill... well... me! I've initiated a full castle lockdown, so he shouldn't be able to—
[Sparks start flying off to Nurse and Crafty's left as Metal tries wearing down the lab's security door with electricity.]
        Crafty: ...CRYSTELLE!!
Crystelle: [unusually calm] You called, Doctor?
Crafty: First off, thanks for warning me about our mechanical intruder!
        Crystelle: Intruder...? But how?! I—
Crafty: Nevermind! Tell me how long it'll take for them to get inside the lab.
Crystelle: Uh... Give me a moment.
[Crystelle activates her psychic vision to gauge the situation. She finds the lab's security door being electrified by Metal... But Metal is completely invisible to her.]
Crystelle: Wh.... This is impossible! The door will be cut through in approximately ten minutes, but I can't see the intruder at all! It's like they're camouflaged from my psychic vision... But how...?
      • In "School Days of Yesterpast," Crystelle opens up to Messi about her concerns regarding how Metal Crafty and Mindstein have been limiting her. She presumes that she and Metal have access to some technology that holds Crystelle's powers back. These restrictions, on top of all the others that she has, make her question her worth to the Crew.
  • O.O.C. Is Serious Business:
    • If the all-knowing Crystelle cannot understand something from her visions of the future, something is very wrong. Ever since her terrifying visions in the Hero Month Spin-Off Special, Crystelle has been trying to continue looking into the future to find the source of them... but something indescribable is keeping her clairvoyance at bay. She tries letting Crafty know about this issue in "We're Back! A Crafty Story," but he's too focused on upholding a skit to pay attention.
Crafty: I wonder if she has any interesting updates for us!
Crystelle: Yes, Doctor, I do. Ahem... I've been trying to find answers to the visions I saw while me and the girls were in that dungeon. But, for some reason, something has been distorting my perception of whatever it is I'm seeing... Whatever it is, it seems to be well beyond my power. I don't know what I can do...
Crafty: I guess we'll never know!
Crystelle: Please come back soon, Crafty. This is a matter that I really need to talk to you about.
    • The final question of "ADnDiction" is the first time in which Screw's card, The Chariot, is drawn. It asks about the age difference between Nurse and Screw, which in turn leads to the topic of Screw's upbringing. The latter is a subject so unsettling for Crystelle that she explicitly withholds some information about it when answering the question. She just lets the implications of what she does explain speak for themselves.
Crystelle: One more card ought to do it for the night.
      [Crystelle draws The Chariot—Screw's card.]
Crystelle: ... Oh dear. I suppose it was only a matter of time before this came up. Here comes The Chariot.
The Question: What is the age difference between Nurse Worse and Screw?
Crystelle: Well... There's certain details I can't reveal—not because I don't know, but... Ugh, it's very unpleasant. What I will say is that... They're technically twins. Unexpectedly. And if flashbacks are to be believed, their physical growth has quite the gap between them. I don't need my future sight to see the implications that underly such things. But, that is to say, Nurse is indeed the older twin in this awful story of Cain and Abel. If it weren't for the fact that one of them is trying to smite us all, I'd almost feel pity for her...
[The scene fades to black before returning to Crystelle, still looking very troubled.]
Crystelle: Ugh... oh. That was quite a downer to leave on. Mayhaps my being... violently incapacitated, as it were, may have left a mire on my cosmic flow. I think next month, I'll have to choose some happier questions to make up for it. Then again, that's for the cards to decide... Foresee you soon.
  • Purple Is Powerful: Crystelle's color scheme incorporates warm colors from pink to purple, and she's quite a skilled psychic. Purple is also used as her character color among the Crafty Crew.
  • Smug Super: Being an all-knowing psychic, Crystelle carries quite an ego on her, frequently sprinkling her dialogue with self-praise.
    • In particular, she likes to pat herself on the back for correctly anticipating something, as it shows how successful her clairvoyance is to her audience. She happens to do this in "Return to the Qloset" upon drawing her own Tarot card.
Crystelle: And what is our final card for tonight?
      [Crystelle draws The Star—her card.]
Crystelle: Ooooo! The Star! Who could've seen that coming? Oh right. Me. Ahehehehehuhuhu~!
    • Unlike Crafty, Crystelle is fully comfortable with how egotistical she is, and she doesn't have to be emotionally backed into a corner to admit it. In "Kerchoo," she casually makes a comparison between her ego and his when she draws his card.
Crystelle: Well! From one egotist to another, it seems.
  • Star-Spangled Spandex: Fitting with her arcane, mystical nature, the inside of Crystelle's cloak is overlaid with a transparent photo of a galaxy, showing off various stars and other space phenomena. A similar effect is applied to Crystelle's psychic construct body and head. The detail is omitted from certain pieces in favor of a simplified effect.
  • Statuesque Stunner: Crystelle's official listed height is 6' 4", making her one of the tallest characters on the show. She's third only to Pepper and Sasha in terms of height, and like them, the show and especially supplementary materials portray Crystelle attractively. For a brief time prior to joining the Crew, she was a model, something that she discusses in "The Little Purple House."
  • Weaponized Teleportation: As a defensive maneuver, Crystelle primarily teleports people away wherever she pleases. It's extremely valuable for her to have in the event that she somehow doesn't see a threat coming her way; she can just displace it in seconds.
    • Disgustilda catches her by surprise in "Atop the 4th Door"—twice—to which Crystelle demonstrates her defensive teleportation on-screen for the first time. The second time happens just after Crystelle finishes discussing how Crafty's parents met.
Crystelle: Heheh... Funny how life works out, isn't it?
      Disgustilda: HILAAAAARIOUS, I SAY!!
      Crystelle: OUT WITH YOU!!!
[Crystelle causes Disgustilda to disappear in a puff of smoke.]
    • "Kerchoo" implies that there is a cooldown period for Crystelle's teleportation ability. After having teleported Disgustilda away while answering the episode's first question, Ceradust infiltrates Stylene's bus, where the episode is being held. Crystelle quickly grows impatient with his ramblings, but instead of teleporting Ceradust away, she just tosses him out. She only teleports him later when he returns for a second time, and she places him in Radiator Springs. The result implies a drawback for her ability: if she doesn't choose her target's destination carefully, they could benefit from it. In this case, Ceradust hitches a ride on Lightning McQueen to catch back up with the bus and (somewhat unsuccessfully) heckle Crystelle one last time.
Crystelle: Thank you all for joining me with this road-show edition of the Questionable Qloset. I just hope next time I don't get this many interruptions.
[Something smashes in a window on the bus.]
      Crystelle: What the—?
[It's Ceradust, riding proudly atop of Lightning McQueen to deliver one last jab at Crystelle, peering out at him from this new hole in the bus.]
Ceradust: Guess you can say these nonsequiturs are DRIVING you CRRRRAAAAZZZYYYYY!! STYLENE SUPREMACY!! NOTHIN' BAD EVER HAPPENS TO THE CERADUST— AH!!
[McQueen suddenly flips over on top of Ceradust. Before the episode closes, the show lingers on the crash as the resulting noises subside.]
