U.A. High School

Class 1-A

    Izuku Midoriya

Izuku Midoriya

Fusion Color: Light Green

A teenager chosen to be All Might's successor as the bearer of "One For All". His Quirk is "Fusion", which allows him to fuse his body with either non-living matter or even other people, becoming an entirely new person in the process.

  • Accidental Innuendo: In-Universe example. As he got older, fusion started to take on a... different meaning. This lead to him getting mocked a lot by his peers during middle school.
  • Adaptational Angst Upgrade: Inverted. Since he was born with a Quirk, he and Katsuki remain best friends throughout their lives, with Katsuki even protecting him from bullies.
  • Adaptational Badass: Combining his Fusion Quirk with One For All allows him to use watered down 100% Smash attacks without damaging his body at the start of U.A., while his canon self could only manage a pseudo 100% smash by the second to last arc in the series. Even if fusing with metal and the like seems to limit the damage that he can do somewhat, it’s nothing to sneeze at.
  • Armor-Piercing Response: When Todoroki continously insults Izuku, stating his Human Fusions are the ones who've accomplished everything, Izuku frustratedly asks if Todoroki wants him to use only half of his Quirk.
  • Boring, but Practical: While Material Fusion is not super flashy compared to Human, it is much more consistent in comparison to the point where Izuku's hero costume is designed specifically so that he can use it more frequently.
  • Chrome Champion: His most frequently used absorption ability is fusing his body with highly durable metal to become an incredibly tough metal man that can tank almost anything.
  • Chronic Hero Syndrome: He's this to the point where it's a serious problem, and it's something that Ochako and Katsuki are constantly trying to beat out of him with how needlessly self-sacrificing and reckless he is. All Might also criticizes this attitude, such as when Izuku took on all of the damage Izuchako took to spare Ochako. According to All Might, if it had been a real battle, Ochako would've been left defending the helpless Izuku rather than both of them being injured but still combat-ready.
  • Crippling Overspecialization: To Aizawa's praise, Izuku intentionally tries to avert this as much as possible when it comes to relying on human fusions, as he acknowledges that its potentially randomized nature is too risky on a day to day basis and prefers to use material fusion.
  • Fire-Forged Friends: Literally. Every time he fuses with someone, he becomes friendlier with the person after they de-fuse, to the point that they're perfectly comfortable using his first name.
  • Heart Is an Awesome Power: Izuku has a major complex about his Quirk, but to everyone else it's an amazing and unique Quirk that will take him far as a hero. In fact, even without One For All, a person could still easily argue that it was the most powerful Quirk in Class 1-A by virtue of Human Fusion alone.
  • Heroic RRoD: Using triple Human Fusion takes a much greater toll on him than the normal variety. Doing it twice back to back is even worse, leaving his body bright red and steaming after he passes out.
  • Heroic Self-Deprecation: Thanks to all the mocking his Quirk netted him, he has a hard time believing that he'll be a good hero, despite Katsuki's insistence to the contrary.
  • Insult of Endearment: Unlike canon, his nickname, Deku, is more of this rather than a flat out insult.
  • Logical Weakness: His absorption can only affect his entire body if he has enough material to absorb. Conversely, if the source has too much material, he can't absorb all of it, because there's only so much of his body that he can merge it with.
  • Post-Victory Collapse: After defeating Nomu and All Might's arrival ensuring everyone's safety, he de-fuses and promptly collapses from exhaustion.
  • Stripperiffic: Izuku's outfit has enough metal in it for him to fuse with when in combat. However, this results in him being left in nothing but shorts and a small overcoat. It's enough so that it isn't indecent, but it still leaves him heavily embarrassed.
  • Super-Speed: While still well below the likes of Tenya, he is very fast, to the point where he's slightly faster than Katsuki.
  • Super-Strength: Combining One For All with his Metal Fusion makes him easily the strongest student in Class 1-A in pure physical terms. During the Aizawa's Quirk Assessment Test, he blew the Grip Test out of the water by completely destroying the machine.
  • Super-Toughness: When fused with metal, he becomes impossible to hurt and can even use 100% Smash attacks without issue.
  • Superpower Lottery: Material Fusion on its own is a decently powerful ability, but it's Human Fusion that takes the cake. With it and One For All at his disposal, there is theoretically no limit to how powerful Izuku can become, because, with his ability to merge with different people, he can literally do anything.

    Katsuki Bakugo

Katsuki Bakugo

Fusion Color: Orange

Izuku's best friend, who aims to become the No. 1 hero. His "Explosion" Quirk lets him sweat nitro-glycerin that he can ignite in his hands to blow up whatever's in his way.

  • Adaptational Badass: Downplayed, but he gets slightly higher scores in the Quirk assessment and trains under All Might alongside Izuku, so he's a tad more powerful than canon.
  • Adaptational Nice Guy: Due to For Want Of A Nail. Izuku does have a useful Quirk, so he never started mocking Izuku for being Quirkless. Other students still teased Izuku for it (largely with the easy innuendo about fusing with people), so he wasn't interested in being popular. Fusing into Katzuku meant that he and Izuku remained close for their entire childhood. Because of this, the canonical toxic relationship between him and Izuku never occurred, and without a convenient posse and victim he never became a bully. Therefore in the present, he's still abrasive and egotistical but far nicer to other students and a much better teammate.
  • Anger Born of Worry: Whenever he gets angry at Izuku, it usually always has to do with calling him out on how needlessly self-sacrificing he is to the point where it's detrimental to his health. Calling him out on taking all of the damage Izuchako took (physical backlash of One For All and Ochako's nausea) being a prime example of this.
  • Berserk Button: He gets easily annoyed when anyone other than Izuku calls him "Kacchan".
  • Big Brother Instinct: Beneath his abrasive exterior is someone who is very protective of his best friend and, for a long time, believed in Izuku more than Izuku himself did.
  • Brutal Honesty: Isn't one to mince words, even when they're about the Number One hero: All Might. This is actually a good thing, because it tempers Izuku's awe of All Might and allows the two to interact on a much more leveled perspective.
  • Friendly Address Privileges: While Katsuki holds "Kacchan" to be an Embarrassing Nickname, he notably only allows Izuku to call him that.
  • Friendly Rivalry: He has this with Izuku and Ochako. While it won't stop him from ribbing into them or making jokes at their expense, they get along pretty well when they aren't competing and they even help each other train.
  • Heterosexual Life-Partners: With Izuku, despite what their middle school classmates thought. They're practically glued at the hip — which is later deconstructed, as it turns out to be the reason why they never learned about the memory-sharing aspect of Human Fusion.
  • Jerkass Has a Point:
    • He frequently calls Izuku out on how his Chronic Hero Syndrome does a lot of damage to him, especially when he takes all the backlash Human Fusion causes. All Might acknowledges that Katsuki is in the right, as while the intentions are noble, it's better to have two moderately wounded heroes than one active hero and one crippled hero.
    • He calls All Might an idiot for using up all his time. He's not entirely wrong since unless there was some major crisis in the news that they didn't hear about, nothing happened where he needed to step in. He also points out that since All Might knew that he'd be teaching that day, he should have saved up enough time to teach his students instead of letting it waste on things he legitimately didn't need to help with. Izuku ultimately can't come up with any solid defense for his mentor.
  • Not Distracted by the Sexy: When Momo lifts her shirt, which embarrasses Izuku and Ochako and arouses Minoru, Katsuki only raises his eyebrows in confusion.
  • O.O.C. Is Serious Business: He frequently snaps at Izuku for his self-sacrificing tendencies. Notably, the one time he doesn't is during the USJ incident, when Izuku asks him to triple-fuse with him and Ochako to hold off Nomu. With circumstances that dire, Katsuki had no choice but to admit that Izuku's offer was the only option they had left if they wanted the entire class, including their teachers, to survive long enough until help arrived. After they've defused, Katsuki took all of Katzuchako's nausea, something he berated Izuku for doing earlier with Izuchako, because he knows the worst of the already considerable side effects were going to fall on his best friend.
  • Stuff Blowing Up: What his Quirk lets him do is create extremely powerful explosions in his palms.
  • Vitriolic Best Buds: He and Izuku trade barbs frequently, but are practically family. He later develops a similar dynamic with Ochako.

    Ochako Uraraka

Ochako Uraraka

Fusion Color: Light Pink

A student whom Izuku fuses with during the Entrance Exams. Through this, she learns about All Might's secret and the nature of One For All. She has vowed to keep it a secret and has become a close friend of both Izuku and Katsuki. Her Quirk is "Zero Gravity", which allows her to remove the gravity of any object she touches.

  • Ambiguously Bi: She's Ship Teased enough with Izuku for their fusion to be considered a Romantic Fusion, but she also apperently finds Tsuyu cute.
  • Gravity Master: Downplayed. She can remove an object's gravity, but she can't outright manipulate it any further than that.
  • Latex Space Suit: Unlike canon, her suit is completely skintight to provide greater maneuverability compared to the puffier version she had in mind.
  • Secret-Keeper: She becomes aware of All Might's secret after fusing with Izuku, but she promises not to tell anyone and keep it within the group.
  • Ship Tease: With Izuku, to the point that their fusion Izuchako can be considered a Romantic Fusion.
  • Troll: She's this towards Katsuki, as she has a lot of fun getting him angry.

    Momo Yaoyorozu

Momo Yaoyorozu

Fusion Color: Red

A recommended student and one of the top students in Class 1-A. She becomes more familiar with Izuku's fusion abilities after they fuse to defeat Tenya and Shoto during Hero Training. Her "Creation" Quirk grants her the ability to create any non-living object she wants so long as she's aware of the molecular make-up, using the lipids of her body.

  • The Power of Trust: During the Quirk Assessment Test, she helped Izuku prepare his Quirk by providing him the necessary amount of metal he needed to merge with his body. This friendly interaction fostered enough trust between them for her to accept fusing with Izuku during the Heroes vs. Villains exercise, which creates Moku, who wins the match for them.
  • Unskilled, but Strong: She's physically tough and her Quirk gives her a lot of options and destructive abilities, but her fighting skills are sub-par at best. This comes into play when she fought Tenya on her own. She put it best; she can spar, but Tenya can fight.

    Mina Ashido

Mina Ashido

Fusion Color: Neon Pink

An energetic, alien-looking girl who became enthusiastic at the idea of fusing with Izuku after witnessing him and Momo fuse during Hero Training. Her Quirk is "Acid", which lets her secrete acid from her skin.

  • Jumped at the Call: It's noted that she's the first person to want to fuse with Izuku and volunteer before he could ask.

    Minoru Mineta

Minoru Mineta

Fusion Color: Violet

A perverted student of diminutive size, who was initially jealous of Izuku due to some preconceived misconceptions about how Human Fusion worked. He fuses with Izuku during the USJ incident, and the resulting fusion later fuses with Tsuyu to save her from Shigaraki. His Quirk, "Pop Off", allows him to detach orbs from his scalp that can attach to any surface (including other people) except him. However, detaching too many will cause his scalp to bleed.

  • Cowardly Lion: Scaredy-cat he maybe, when the chips are down he's willing to step up to the plate, be it as himself or as a fusion.
  • Fire-Forged Friends: With Izuku and Tsuyu after Tsuzuru de-fuses. He's on a First-Name Basis with both, and even teases Tsuyu about her burgeoning crush on Ochako.
  • Heart Is an Awesome Power: While in canon it's shown that his Quirk is far from useless, here that is exploited full-force. Izuku specifically chose to fuse with Minoru over Tsuyu during the USJ incident because his Quirk was more versatile and ideal for capturing. The resulting fusions with Minoru show that the sticking properties of his Quirk are their main advantage, and it allows them to restrain several members of the League of Villains, including Kurogiri, Shigaraki, and Nomu.
  • Heroic Self-Deprecation: Minoru is very self-conscious about his Quirk and his ability to be a hero. However, both Izuku and Tsuyu can see value in his Quirk to the point that Izuku chose to fuse with Minoru over Tsuyu despite the latter being a stronger student because he believed empowering Minoru's Quirk would give them the biggest advantage they could get for their situation. Izuku was ultimately proven right, twice over.
  • Hidden Depths:
    • Despite his misconceptions about how Human Fusion worked, it's still notable that Minoru's automatic reaction to it was jealousy, instead of confusion and scorn like Izuku's middle school classmates. Later on, one of the reasons for his initial objection to fusing with Izuku was because he thought the fusion would make his Quirk even more worthless, displaying his own lack of self-worth.
    • Then, when they were forced to fuse, all he asked was that Izuku not make it "weird" and refusing to explain why suggesting that he's subconsciously embarrassed about his perversion. The resulting fusion, Izoru, later notes that Minoru owes Izuku an apology, showing that deep down he isn't that bad of a guy.
  • Hormone-Addled Teenager: As seen with his initial assumptions with Izuku's Quirk. Though it's implied he's actually ashamed of this trait of his.
  • Mirror Character: With Izuku, surprisingly. During the USJ arc, it becomes patently obvious that Minoru has a complex about the worth of his Quirk like Izuku had throughout his middle school years. He thinks so little of it that one of the reasons he objected to fusing with Izuku was because he thought not even Human Fusion could improve it. He was dead wrong, to say the least.
  • Vitriolic Best Buds: With Tsuyu after their fusion with Izuku. Their interactions together are like watching a pair of siblings bicker, and they're on a First-Name Basis now.

    Tsuyu Asui

Tsuyu Asui

Fusion Color: Dark Green

A student with a frog-like appearance thanks to her Quirk, "Frog". She actually doesn't fuse with Izuku alone at first, instead becoming part of his first triple-fusion, alongside Minoru Mineta.

  • Cool Big Sis: To her siblings, especially in her interactions with Satsuki in Chapter 13.
  • Fire-Forged Friends: With Izuku and Minoru. After Tsuzuru de-fuses, she has no issue addressing both on a First-Name Basis.
  • Innocently Insensitive: She calls Izuku's Quirk weird, which hurt Izuku since he was met with ridicule for his Quirk during his middle school years. She clarifies that she didn't mean that in a bad way, and was just saying that it was rather unique since a Quirk that lets people fuse is out of the ordinary.
  • Vitriolic Best Buds: With Minoru. He has no problems teasing her about her crush on Ochako and she smacks him like an older sister would with their younger brother.

    Hanta Sero

Hanta Sero

Fusion Color: Dark Yellow

His Quirk, "Tape", allows him to shoot unusually strong tape out of his elbows.

  • Jumped at the Call: Izuku doesn't even finish his request to fuse before Sero is offering his hand to do so.

    Shoto Todoroki

Shoto Todoroki

Fusion Color: Unknown

Class 1-A's other recommended student and the youngest child of the Number Two Hero, Endeavor. Shoto didn't think much of Izuku's fusion abilities at first, until Moku, the fusion of Momo and Izuku, defeated him and his partner Tenya in the Heroes vs. Villains exercise. Since then, Izuku has been on his radar, for not-so-noble reasons. His Quirk "Half-Hot, Half-Cold" allows him to generate ice from his right side and fire from his left side.

  • Adaptational Jerkass: He's notably more prideful and abrasive in the story, considering at his canon counterpart's Pre-Character Development personality being more aloof and slightly arrogant.
  • Always Someone Better: Izuku's fusions (and by extension, Izuku himself) are this to him. Even if he were using his left side, there's very little Shoto can do by himself to match, let alone surpass, Izuku's fusions, especially with One For All at their disposal. This unexpected humbling leaves a bitter taste in his mouth that he has yet to wash out.
  • Berserk Button: He's absolutely furious when he learned that it was a fusion that defeated him, though it's not clear why. Since then, his expression darkens every time Izuku's Human Fusion becomes the topic of a conversation within his earshot.
  • Generation Xerox: The USJ Incident suggests that, much like his father with All Might, Shouto is jealous of how much more powerful and accomplished Izuku's fusions are compared to him.
  • Normal Fish in a Tiny Pond: Played with. He's arguably the strongest student in Class 1-A in terms of raw power. However, the fusions, more often than not, blow anything he can do out of the water.
  • Pride Before a Fall: He thought his ice would be enough to defeat Momo and Izuku, predicting the match would last less than a minute. Moku brutally disabused him of that notion, winning the match easily with only twelve seconds to spare. Shoto does not take it well.
  • Smug Super: He has a rather high opinion on his capabilities. While this isn't unfounded given how powerful he is, it leads to him underestimating his opponents frequently. This bit him in the ass when he went against Izuku and Momo. Even moreso against the Nomu, realising too late that he underestimated a monster specifically engineered to fight All Might, which nearly killed him.
  • Tranquil Fury: When he found out it was Moku that defeated him, he was extremely angry, but being Shoto, he has been content to stew in it (for now). At this point his anger only manifests itself as death glares in Izuku's direction whenever Fusion is brought up.
  • Underestimating Badassery: Downplayed. While he recognized that Momo and Izuku's Quirks were strong in their own right, even noting how well they complemented each other, he still believed that even together, they were no match for his ice. Not only did they bypass his ice easily by themselves, but Izuku's Human Fusion also proved to be far more powerful than anything that Shoto by himself could do, especially with his refusal to use his left side.
  • Willfully Weak: He refuses to use his left side for anything other than melting his ice. Needless to say, this is a problem when facing opponents that can take on his right side without trouble.
  • The Worf Effect: He's easily Class 1-A's most powerful student by himself. "By himself" being the keywords; his defeat at the hands of Moku makes it clear that Izuku's fusions are far stronger than him, and by extension, the rest of Class 1-A.

Fusions

    General
  • All Your Powers Combined: Each of the fusion's Quirks vary greatly depending on the components, often as variations of Izuku and his partner(s) Quirks, similar to how Superpowerful Genetics seem to work with parents and children, with One For All providing a boost in fire-power. For example, Izuku's ability to fuse with inanimate material and Yaoyorozu's "Creation" Quirk give Moku the ability to change the physical properties of her body instantaneously, turning her into diamond during the Hero vs. Villains exercise.
  • Awesome, but Impractical: As detailed in Dangerous Forbidden Technique, Izuku sees Human Fusions as this, as while it may give him a unique set of benefits when compared to material fusion, it comes with many more risks, such as the Cast from Stamina and potentially spilling confidential information.
  • Cast from Stamina: How long the fusion exists depends on Izuku's stamina to maintain it. Using strenuous techniques, such as One For All, will cause the amount of time the fusion lasts to dwindle.
  • Character Development: Another aspect of Human Fusion, as a result of the Mental Fusion, is that the components may adopt traits of each other after the fusion ends. This isn't necessarily bad, though it can make future interactions awkward. As an extension of that, they undergo some character development, most of it good.
    • It's unclear what traits Katsuki got from fusing with Izuku and what traits are a result of their Adaptation Relationship Overhaul. Though it can be presumed that his shared interest in hero fights (as seen in the second chapter) is one of them.
    • Ochako starts calling Katsuki "Kacchan" and is more confident than her canon counterpart was at the start of the series. This actually becomes a theme- everyone who fuses with Izuku starts calling Bakugou "Kacchan," much to his dismay.
    • Momo loosens up a lot faster than her canon counterpart did after her fusion with Izuku ends, thanks to having a bonding moment with one of her fellow classmates much earlier.
    • Minoru becomes less perverted — or, at the very least, he's better at keeping his perverted thoughts to himself. He's also a lot more confident in his Quirk's abilities.
  • Color-Coded for Your Convenience: Whenever Izuku uses Human Fusion, he glows light green, and his partner glows their own personal color as well.
  • Dangerous Forbidden Technique:
    • A downplayed example. While it isn't exactly forbidden, Izuku prefers not to use Human Fusion unless absolutely necessary due to its Wild Card nature and draining effects on him and his partner's bodies. Aizawa praises him for this, because it shows that he can be versatile with his Quirk rather than just a "one-trick pony" who relies on a powerful, but unpredictable and potentially unreliable technique. Notably, the first time Izuku starts spamming it is during the USJ incident, which is a serious life-or-death situation.
    • Multi-person fusions, meanwhile, are certainly this. While the resulting fusions are extremely powerful (to the point of being able to take on Nomu, of all things), they drain even more from their components and can't be held together for long. It's especially bad for Izuku, to the point that doing two multi-person fusions within a small timeframe is him risking potentially fatal exhaustion.
  • Drama-Preserving Handicap: Human Fusion is given multiple drawbacks to make it only feasible as a Dangerous Forbidden Technique, because otherwise, it would be a Story-Breaker Power. Even with the drawbacks, it's powerful enough that Aizawa was genuinely worried about the possibility that Izuku would come to rely on it too much.
  • Fire-Forged Friends: Literally. All the people Izuku fuses with developing a much closer bond with him upon de-fusion, to the point of being on a First-Name Basis with him and whoever else they might have fused with during the interim. After all, it's hard to be aloof with someone who's merged with you on a physical, spiritual, and mental level.
  • Fusion Dance: Well, they are fusions after all.
  • Gender Bender: The exact gender of the fusion depends on who Izuku is fusing with. If he's fusing with a boy, the fusion will be a boy. If he's fusing with a girl, the fusion will be a girl. This gets complicated when fusing with more than one person and people of the opposite gender are involved, as the fusion's gender seems almost random.
  • Ghost in the Machine: This, combined with Good Angel, Bad Angel, is the closest equivalent Izuku can make to describe what happens to him and his partner when they fuse. The resulting fusion is their own person; while their components can observe their actions, they cannot directly control them. However, their personalities and mindsets can still influence how the fusion approaches a situation.
  • Goal-Oriented Evolution: Human fusion has hints of this. Every fusion has a quirk mutation that is superior to the original quirk, rather than staying the same or some random change. Momo's creation costs less energy and gains Elemental Shape Shifter aspects, Ochako's zero-gravity is fine-tuned until it is telekinesis in function. This is most prominent in Mineta. Mineta's hairballs become exploding glue bombs that dangle from the fusion's hair, meaning they don't cause bleeding from overuse because they aren't plucked off the scalp. Interestingly, his first fusion, Katzuku, is the only fusion where this Quirk mutation has any downsides, implying that the Quirk learned from the experience so that the following fusions would only have improvements.
  • Heart Is an Awesome Power: Human Fusion is the ultimate technique of Izuku's Quirk, the natural culmination of Izuku's fusion ability taken to its most logical extreme; in combination with One for All, the resulting fusions are powerful enough to curb-stomp the other members of Class 1-A easily. Then there are multi-person fusions, which are so powerful they potentially rival All Might himself. While it takes Izuku himself a while to come to terms with it, everyone else can easily see that his Quirk is most likely the most powerful in all of Class 1-A.
  • Hour of Power: Fusing with someone actually lasts longer for Izuku than fusing with material does, but it's not indefinite and the time can be cut down even more when using particularly draining techniques, such as One for All. This goes double for multi-person fusions.
  • In a Single Bound: All of them have some degree of this, but any fusion involving Tsuyu gets a special mention, since they can jump so high it's closer to flying.
  • Mental Fusion: The fusions have combined personality traits of Izuku and whoever he fuses with. This is also problematic, as the fusees may retain the memories of the other when they separate or gain traits and quirks from the other person.
  • The Power of Trust: It's implied that Izuku cannot forcibly fuse with someone. He can do it by accident as he did with Katsuki the first time he used the technique, and with Tsuyu, when he was Izoru and trying to protect her from Shigaraki, but even then there was a degree of trust between him and the other person. Every other time he's fused with someone, he's had their explicit consent. As a result of that trust, however, the fusions are powerful, more so than any one student in Class 1-A.
  • Superpower Lottery: Thanks to enhanced variations of Quirks the fusions have coupled with having immense strength thanks to One For All, they're all massive winners of this. Even more so when it comes to triple fusions, which potentially rival All Might, given that they can trade blows with Nomu.
  • Super-Strength: By default, all of them have this to a greater degree than Izuku thanks to One For All. They are also able to use it much better, presumably due to their increased durability and muscle mass. While standard fusions still run the risk of breaking their bones, triple-fusions are shown to be able to use One For All at 100% without issue.
  • Talking to Themself: They've all been shown to frequently talk out-loud as if having a one-person conversation. It's likely a result of Izuku's compulsive mumbling.
  • Wrong Context Magic: Even in today's Quirk-based society, Izuku's Human Fusion is something completely out of the left field and thought to be impossible. Everyone who sees it for the first time is left in stunned disbelief, especially when the resulting fusion reveals how powerful he or she is.

    Katzuku

Katzuku

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/katzuku_suited_up_by_bluecrysto.jpg
"I'm them, but I'm also me. I'm… both?""

The fusion of Katsuki and Izuku, as well as Izuku's first fusion. His Quirk Mutation is "High-Ex", which allows him to ignite highly concentrated nitro-glycerin from anywhere on his body.

  • Flawed Prototype: He is the first of Izuku's fusions and the only one whose quirk mutation has any inferior aspects to the original. i.e. his sweating more than Katsuki means he has lower stamina thanks to dehydration risk. All the other fusions have only ever had improvements.
  • Logical Weakness: Because he sweats twice as much as Katsuki would, he has much lower stamina and can suffer dehydration easily.
  • One-Hit Kill: He blows up the Sludge villain in one massive explosion.
  • Stuff Blowing Up: Far more powerful than Katsuki's since not only is the nitro-glycerin extremely concentrated, but he also sweats far more than Katsuki would, allowing him to let off twice as many explosions twice as fast with more than double the fire-power.
  • Troll: Will occasionally do things to mess with his components, such as getting launched high above the ocean so they'd fall into it when he unfuses.

    Izuchako

Izuchako

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/izuchako_by_bronzlelight_ddijyrh_fullview.jpg
"I'm Izuchako, the Super-strong Fused Master of Gravity!"

The fusion of Izuku and Ochako, who first came about during the U.A. Entrance Exam. Her Quirk Mutation is "Gravity Manipulation", which allows her to manipulate gravity for both herself and objects around her.

  • Flying Brick: She can manipulate her own gravity to fly through the air at high speeds. The "brick" part is a bit downplayed since using 100% Smash attacks can still leave her with a busted arm, but she's still much stronger than Izuku is normally.
  • Gravity Master: Unlike Ochako, she's a straight example of this. Her control over the gravity of anything she touches is to the point where it can be mistaken for telekinesis.

    Moku

Moku

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/moku_by_bronzlelight_dd7cfyc_pre_6.jpg

"Momo can make anything. Izuku can absorb anything. So, together… I can become anything." Picture Source

The fusion of Izuku and Momo, who was first brought into play during the Hero vs. Villain training. Her Quirk Mutation is "Transmutation", which lets her turn her body into any material she can think of.

  • Body Horror: Downplayed, but the metal in Izuku's costume ends up merging with her bones, which are visible when she's in diamond mode. Tenya was a little freaked out when she smiled at him in this state because a bit of her skull was visible when she did so.
  • Elemental Shapeshifter: Can transform into different materials like Izuku does when he fuses with inanimate matter, but she can do so without any outside material, as long as she knows enough about it.
  • Nice Girl: Considering she's the fusion of two nice people, her polite and friendly demeanor isn't a surprise.
  • Nigh-Invulnerable: Using transmutation to turn her body into durable materials hits this when she turns into diamond.
  • Stripperiffic: Her outfit is as revealing as Momo's so that she can easily create new matter, though she also gets Izuku's overcoat, so it's a tad downplayed by comparison.
  • Super-Speed: She can even keep pace with Tenya without much difficulty.

    Izuna

Izuna

"I… I could make tunnels. Or set delayed traps! Or just… or just rain down acid on villains and only melt away their weapons and armor! I… I can do just about anything!" Picture Source

The fusion of Izuku and Mina, which came to be during some extra training from All Might. Her Quirk Mutation is "Acid Control", which allows her to control the acidity and viscosity of her acid on-command after it's been fired.

  • Genki Girl: Bright, loud and hyperactive, the combination of Izuku's curiosity and Mina's enthusiasm makes her this.
  • Hollywood Acid: Even more so than Mina, since she can control her acid on-command to either eat through anything or just be harmless like water.

    Izoru

Izoru

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/dd8316w_bfb68a7f_71f0_43ac_b6ab_fdf233d10dad_5.jpg

The fusion of Izuku and Mineta, which they used to fend off the villains at the USJ. His Quirk Mutation is "Sticky Bomb", which creates orbs on the ends of his hair that can be detached and thrown, releasing a super-sticky fluid upon impact, which sticks to everything except himself.

  • Chivalrous Pervert: He's still half Mineta, so he still has... less than virtuous thoughts about his female classmates. But thanks to Izuku's morals, shyness, and heroic spirit, he can shove those thoughts away and keep them to himself, letting him focus on solving their current problem. When he does vocalize his perverted thoughts, he is very shy and respectful about it... well, as respectful as one can be about such a thing.
  • Covert Pervert: This is what happens when you fuse someone who's shamelessly perverted with someone who's shy and Cannot Talk to Women. He still, shall we say, appreciates girls' bodies, but he usually keeps his thoughts to himself and usually restricts his words to quiet compliments.
  • Pint Sized Power House: As a Fusion between Mineta and Izuku, his height is a perfect median between the two, leaving him shorter than everyone in Class 1-A. He still has One For All, though, meaning he's capable of just as much power and strength as All Might.
  • Removed Achilles' Heel: His sticky bombs are at the ends of his hair rather than the scalp, so he doesn't bleed when he pulls out too many balls.
  • Sticky Bomb: It's literally the name of his Quirk Mutation. His orbs not only stick to the target but explode and cover anything within its range in the same adhesive substance.

Tsuzuru

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/dtfh__tsuzuru_by_chash1234_dd85iei_375w_2x.jpg
"Guess I need a name. Uh… Izuku… Tsuyu… Minoru… Zu… Ru… Tsu… Tsu… zuru? Tsuzuru? Good as anything I guess."

The fusion of Izuku, Mineta, and Tsuyu, as well as the first triple-fusion. Her Quirk Mutation is "Sticky Mucus", which is as adhesive as Izoru's sticky bomb solution, but invisible. It can also be secreted from her skin and saliva.

  • Did You Just Flip Off Cthulhu?: Just as she's about to complete her rescue of Aizawa, Shigaraki screams out to her that she just can't "take the hostage and run". Tsuzuru's response? To stick her tongue out at him and do exactly that.
  • Nerves of Steel: She's very calm under pressure, which is likely influenced by Izuku and Tsuyu's personalities.
  • Sticky Bomb: Has the same Quirk Mutation as Izoru, but with the added bonus of having sticky mucus as well.
  • The Tease: She doesn't have many inhibitions when it comes to flirting, likely a result of Minoru's personality, as she openly flirts with Ochako before she de-fuses.
  • Thou Shalt Not Kill: She's disturbed by the possibility that she may have killed Nomu. Considering she's a fusion of three teenage hero students who have just started their training, that's only to be expected.

    Spoiler

Katzuchako

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/katzuchako_by_zmanxv_dd9p4xd_fullview_8.png
"Oh, I think I get it. This... This is good. This is very very good"

The second triple fusion formed to combat the Nomu at the USJ. He is the fusion of Izuku, Katsuki, and Ochako. His Quirk Mutation is "Explosive Touch", which allows him to charge an object with energy and prime it to detonate if all five fingers make contact.

  • Determinator: Despite the multiple injuries he accumulated and his fusion's time running out, he held himself together out of pure willpower just to keep fighting so the other students wouldn't get hurt by Nomu.
  • Expy: His powers operate very similar to Gambit.
  • Facepalm of Doom: Has this done to him by Nomu, the villain crushing his head so much that his broken helmet starts to cut into his skin. He only gets out of it by discovering his Quirk Mutation.
  • Person of Mass Destruction: Arguably all of the Fusions are this, given that they all have One For All, but Katzuchako exaggerates it with his mutation. By putting his fingertips onto an object, he can charge it up with explosive energy, turn it into a bomb, which he can then throw using his Gravity Control, turning them into high-speed missiles. As of right now, we have no indication what the maximum size of an object he can turn into a bomb is, or even if there is a limitation.
  • Someone Has to Do It: Without All Might there, he's the only one with enough strength to go toe-to-toe with Nomu, so he takes it upon himself to do so until All Might can arrive to take over.

    Tsuku

Tsuku

The fusion of Izuku and Tsuyu. Her Quirk Mutation is "Poison Dart Frog", upgrading the mucus Tsuyu naturally secretes to the point where her tongue can be used to precision-shot paralyze where it hits, the body mucus having similar, but less rapid-acting properties.

  • Cool Big Sis: As much as Tsuyu is.
  • Instant Sedation: The mucus's paralyzing effect is near-instant when used on her tongue. The body mucus is a bit slower-acting.
  • The Paralyzer: Her Quirk Mutation allows her to temporarily paralyze others on contact with her mucus.

    Hanzu

Hanzu

The fusion of Izuku and Sero. His Quirk Mutation is "Tape Tether", which allows him to fire explosive tape balls, in addition to tape of increased strength.

Faculty

    Shota Aizawa — Eraserhead

Shota Aizawa — Eraserhead

A semi-famous underground pro-hero and the homeroom teacher of Class 1-A. Despite being a bit of a Lazy Bum, he is a notoriously strict teacher, but only because he knows the dangers of the hero industry and wishes to ensure his students are fully prepared for that reality. His Quirk, "Erasure", allows him to nullify others' control over their Quirks just by looking at them. Blinking dispels the effect of his Quirk and using it gives him very dry eyes.

  • Anger Born of Worry: Downplayed. While he's unhappy that Tsuzuru tried to rescue him, calling it reckless, he ultimately can't berate her because he knew he would do the same if he were in her shoes.
  • Anti-Magic: His Quirk lets him nullify any non-mutant Quirks. He can also cancel out Izuku's Fusion Quirk, which instantly undoes the fusion and separates the fusees.
  • Papa Wolf: When Nomu goes after Tsuzuru, he literally tries to drag himself off the ground to try and protect her, even though Nomu had just beaten him bloody.

    Toshinori Yagi — All Might

Toshinori Yagi — All Might

The Number One Hero and Symbol of Peace, and the mentor of Izuku Midoriya. Toshinori first learned about Izuku's fusion abilities when he encountered Katzuku while pursuing the Sludge Villain. Overhearing a conversation between Izuku and his best friend, Katsuki Bakugo, Toshinori decided to keep an eye on Izuku, ultimately deciding to make the boy his successor and pass him down his Quirk, "One for All".

  • The Mentor: To all of Class 1-A, but especially Izuku and Katsuki, having trained them for over nine months prior to their attendance at U.A., as well as them being among the few to know the truth behind One For All.
  • Overshadowed by Awesome: Played for Laughs. While Class 1-A is in awe of him at the beginning, Izuku's Human Fusion quickly steals the spotlight.
  • Super-Strength: He's the most powerful hero in the setting, being strong enough to take out almost any villain with one punch and shatter large chunks of a stone arch with nothing more than a finger flick. According to Izuku, he can also destroy entire glaciers with a punch.

Antagonists

League of Villains

    General

  • Mooks: Brutally lampshaded. With the exceptions of Kurogiri, Shigaraki, and Nomu, all of them are two-bit thugs that even the students can handle.
  • Underestimating Badassery: Even more so than they did in canon. Their failure to take the students and their Quirks into account bites them in the ass thanks to Izuku's Human Fusion, which allows Class 1-A to fight on even level with them.
  • Zerg Rush: While Class 1-A is capable of defeating them easily, there's so many of them that they're preventing the students from reuniting at the entrance.

    Tomura Shigaraki

Tomura Shigaraki

The one who leads the League of Villains during the USJ attack with the intent of killing All Might. He ultimately gives up on this after getting frustrated with trying (and failing) to kill Tsuzuru. His "Decay" Quirk lets him destroy anything he touches so long as all five fingers of his hand make contact with the object or person in question.

  • Humiliation Conga: First his plan to kill All Might is indefinitely stalled when All Might fails to show up, then his lackeys fail to kill even one member of Class 1-A (all of whom happen to be first-year hero students not even a week into their training), then he gets Punched Across the Room by Tsuzuru after trying to kill Tsuyu, and then Tsuzuru defeats Nomu, Kurogiri, and him with ease before rescuing Aizawa, stopping him from killing yet another person. Cue the Villainous Breakdown.
  • Psychopathic Manchild: The best way to describe him is a whiny, entitled brat who hates when things don't go his way.
  • Rage Quit: After failing to kill anyone and All Might not showing up on time, he gives up and leaves, but not before leaving Nomu behind to kill off the students and teachers.
  • Sore Loser: When All Might fails to show, he decides to give up on having Nomu kill him...and orders Nomu to kill everyone in the USJ instead.
  • Tranquil Fury: During his Villainous Breakdown.
  • Villainous Breakdown: After the aforementioned Humiliation Conga, he quietly rants to the half of Class 1-A at the entrance about how much of a failure his plan was before declaring it "a wash" and skedaddling.
  • Villain Takes an Interest: After seeing what Izuku's Fusions can do at the Sports Festival, he develops an interest in having his Sensei steal his Quirk.

    Nomu

Nomu

A bio-engineered being designed specifically to kill All Might. After he failed to show up, Tomura sets it lose on the USJ, ordering it to kill everyone there.

  • Good Thing You Can Heal: It can regenerate its limbs and body parts, which comes in handy when escaping Tsuzuru's sticky adhesive required tearing off your limbs.
  • The Juggernaut: As Tomura puts it, it cannot be stopped and will not die. It takes a triple-fusion or All Might to have any hope of matching it.
  • Super-Strength: It was bio-engineered to have the strength necessary to match the Symbol of Peace.
