Aidan

The protagonist of the game. He's the new servant in the mansion. Driven by curiosity, he goes off to investigate what took place here...

I See Dead People: He's the only person who interacts directly with Zakhari, who is Dead All Along.
Nice Guy: Aidan is a pleasant fellow and easy to get along with.
Ship Tease: Has a few moments with Hilda, though nothing comes out of it.

Gareth

The owner of the mansion. He's a mysterious man with odd mannerisms and quite the strict behavior and short temper.

Ain't Too Proud to Beg: Right before you pick whether to stab Gareth, leave him or bring him, he begs you to help him.
Ax-Crazy: It really shows once it's revealed he's a murderer and an arsonist.
Big Bad: As revealed in the climax, he killed Zakhari and hid and evidence by burning it, thus starting the fire and kickstarting the events of the game.
Depraved Homosexual: Revealed to had a relationship with his personal valet and is basically the Big Bad of the game.
Entitled Bastard: Gareth has the nerve to ask Aidan to help him despite all his actions.
Faux Affably Evil: He's normally polite in conversation. Then, when things go wrong, he gets very snippy.
Incompatible Orientation: The reason why he doesn't return Hilda's feelings, aside from his Jerkass tendencies maybe, is because he's actually gay, as evident by The Reveal of the Secret Relationship he had with Zakhari.
I See Dead People: Implied. He doesn't seem to recognize Zakhari but he mentions that a shadowy figure won't leave him alone.
Jerkass: The biggest and only truly unpleasant character in the game.
Pet the Dog: He is occasionally nice and polite when in a good mood.
Secret Relationship: Had this with Zakhari, and the latter's desire to come out to the public about it is what drives Gareth to murder him.
Smug Snake: To be expected from someone in his position.
Straight Gay: An important plot point revealed in the very end.

Hilda

The maid of the house. A kind girl with a crush on her master. She and her brother Sasha have known Gareth since childhood.

Driven to Suicide: By drowning, regardless of the ending.
Hopeless Suitor: As her brother puts it, she has a hopeless crush on Gareth since childhood.
Kindly Housekeeper: She's one of the nicer characters and is the maid in the house.
Morality Pet: To her own brother Sasha.
Nice Girl: Really the only kind person here aside from Zakhari.
Secret-Keeper: Against her will for Gareth about his murder of Zakhari.
Ship Tease: A few moments with Aidan, though nothing comes out of it.

Sasha

Hilda's brother who is rather blunt and rude. He's very protective of his sister and is a bit disdainful of Gareth.

Big Brother Instinct: Do not mess with Hilda, period.
Driven to Suicide: By hanging, regardless of the ending.
Deadpan Snarker: Towards Aidan, mostly.
Jerk with a Heart of Gold: His love for his sister proves his right is in the right place, despite being an overly grumpy person.
My Sister Is Off-Limits: Tells this to Aidan when he thinks he's interested in Hilda.
Perpetual Frowner: Is never seen smiling in the whole game.
Secret-Keeper: Against his will for Gareth about his murder of Zakhari.
Servile Snarker: He won't hesitate to mock Gareth behind his back.

Zakhari

Gareth's personal valet. The only nice person here aside from Hilda, he connects well with Aidan.

Adopt-a-Servant: How he ended up in the mansion.
Bury Your Gays: He ends up on the receiving end of this, courtesy of Gareth.
Dead All Along: The plot twist of the game is this and it reveals the reason why the fire started.
Nice Guy: The only person to be this to Aidan aside from Hilda.
Secret Relationship: Had this with Gareth.
Straight Gay: An important plot point revealed in the very end.
Walking Spoiler: It's hard to talk about him without revealing the plot twist of the game.
