- Empowered Badass Normal: Well, he used a Super Serum to become what he is now (he was once weak and limp), but what that serum does is just enhancing his overall power and durability to the peak of human performance.

- Shield Bash: His Charging Star and Stars And Stripes specials, as well as their super counterparts, involve charging at his opponents at high speed to bash them with his shield. His Charging Star, in particular, can go through projectiles.

- Throwing Your Shield Always Works: A staple of the character, and is a part of his moveset is throwing his shield at his opponent.
