Deus.Ex.Machina Industries
Deus.Ex.Machina Industries, or better known as the DEM, is a dangerous Organization that seeks an unknown goal related to using the power of the Spirits to cause chaos throughout the world. The group was formed by Isaac Westcott and his five best friends sometime before causing the Eurasiak Sky Disaster, but was splintered in half when Elliot, Ellen, and Elsie fled with half of their group and created Asgard Electronics to oppose them.

- Adaptational Early Appearance: In canon, he made his debut during the Yamai arc. Here, he makes his debut in the first arc.
- Affectionate Nickname: His friends all call him "Ike", which he enjoys.
- O.O.C. Is Serious Business: According to himself, Shinji is the one person who can get him angry, due to how he ruined his plans for Mio in the past. Since he normally stays calm and rational when situations don't go as he planned, the fact that Shinji is able to get him to hit his Rage Breaking Point shows how much Isaac dislikes him.

Unique Automatons
General
- Chess Motif: They're often compared to the King in Chess, as Westcott only allows of one each model to be produced, and their defeat usually means the end of a fight. See Single Specimen Species below.
- Single Specimen Species: These Automatons are incredibly expensive to produce in both cost and materials, so Westcott can't afford to replace them if they're destroyed. They make up for this by being incredibly powerful and requiring multiple Spirits to take down.
Diabolus
Diabolus

- Adaptational Early Appearance: Unlike its counterpart from Date A Re:Live, which was the last of the unique automatons and one of the final enemies, this Diabolus is the main threat of the first arc.
- Disc-One Final Boss: It is the first unique automaton the Spirits have to fight, and their first battle against the DEM overall.
- Dragons Are Demonic: Its third form is based off the Red Dragon that Satan became in the Book of Revelation.
- Meaningful Name: The design of its three forms and and name were based on Satan.
- Power Gives You Wings: Its second form makes it grow wings.
- The Worf Effect: Subverted. It's just as powerful and as difficult to defeat as its counterpart from Date A Re:Live, if not even more.
