Main Characters

     Danny Fenton
The title character of Danny Phantom who, after getting in contact with Spectral Algae, loses his powers and to make matters worse, winds up trapped on a deserted island, with Star of all people
  • Adorkable: Danny is, as usual, a nice guy who gets tongue tied with girls. Star brings this out of him the more they get along, especially after their first kiss.
  • Affectionate Nickname:
    • Star decides to start calling him "Danny-Boo" after they start dating. Sam detests it.
    • Colette insists on calling him "Mon Amour", French for "my love." He's not too keen on it.
  • All Guys Want Cheerleaders: He starts being drawn to Star for more than just her looks, and she's a cheerleader to boot.
  • Belligerent Sexual Tension: Seems to be happening between Danny and Star, mostly on her part.
  • Big Brother Instinct: He attacks Vlad for calling Danielle a "mistake".
  • Brought Down to Normal: Danny loses his powers after getting in contact with an anti ghost elemental called Spectral Algae. This forces him to use his wits and experience.
  • Chick Magnet: Danny manages to attract the attention of Sam, Star and Colette. Also, Valerie still seems to like him and Paulina is still gaga for his ghost form.
  • Clueless Chick Magnet: Danny doesn't realize Star and Sam are both into him and trying to take his interest away from the other.
  • Determinator: Danny, with or without powers, is determined to keep himself and Star alive while they are trapped on the island, relying only on his wits and the island's resources to survive.
  • Everyone Has Standards: Despite how much of a bossy and unpleasant person she was at the time, Danny tries to save Star from falling off the boat.
    • Also, despite how attractive she is, Danny has no interest in Colette due to her poor treatment of Star and her unpleasant nature.
  • Hidden Depths: Danny is shown to have some good survival skills which come in handy during their time on the island.
  • Love Epiphany: Lost has him coming to realize his feelings for Star go past friendship.
  • Nice Guy: While his patience with her gets tested, Danny does his best to look out for Star when they're forced to work together. Eventually, this makes Star lose interest in being rude to him.
  • Oblivious to Love: Danny is clueless to how Star is clearly falling for him, even after she kissed him.
  • Positive Friend Influence: His friendship with Star is what helps start her Character Development.

     Star Strong
After a thunder storm leaves them stranded on a Specter Island, Star is forced to work together with Danny in order to survive.
  • Adorkable: She has a hidden love of sketching and acts very tongue tied after kissing Danny.
  • Alliterative Name: Technically, her first name is actually Estelle. However, she prefers to go by Star. As such, it qualifies, with both that and her last name starting in "St".
  • Belligerent Sexual Tension: Seems to be happening between Danny and Star, mostly on her part.
  • Betty and Veronica: Sam is the Betty (a childhood friend) while Star becomes the Veronica (a former Beta Bitch who mellows out) to Danny's Archie.
  • Character Development: One of the main focuses in the series is Star's own growth and development, from being a selfish, shallow, 2 dimensional popular girl into growing into a kinder, braver and overall better person.
  • Cuddle Bug: She starts hugging Danny the closer they become. At first he seems unsure what to think about it, but he begins to accept and return it once she becomes his girlfriend.
  • Daddy's Girl: Star lives with her father and is closer to him than she is to her mother.
  • Defrosting Ice Queen: Star was at first as rude and dismissive as possible towards Danny, however their experience on the island, where they were force to work together causes them to bond and makes her realize that she was mean to him for shallow reasons. She eventually becomes friends and begins to develop feelings for him soon after.
  • Everyone Has Standards: Despite how vocally she was about her opinion on him, Star wasn't so ungrateful to Danny that she doesn't hold onto him when she fell out of the boat.
  • Evil Cannot Comprehend Good: More jerks than evil, but Star cannot understand why Danny would care about her safety when all she has done is be mean to him and she was genuinely shocked when he asks her to keep his skills a secret, thus giving up a chance to be popular. By Trapped she is slowly outgrowing this.
  • Freudian Excuse: Star's parents are divorced and her mother lives with another man, while her father is a high paying lawyer that, because of his career, does not spend a lot of time with her. It's mildly implied that Star's original bitterness was partially due to her familial situation.
  • Former Friend of Alpha Bitch: Star and Paulina are at each other's throats after the former recognizes how terrible a friend the latter is.
  • Hidden Depths: She speaks French and is a skilled bowler.
    • She also has a deep love and talent for drawing, even wanting to be a sketch artist when she grows up.
  • In the Blood: It seems she got her assertiveness from her father and her (initial) shallowness from her mother.
  • Jerkass Realization: When Danny asks Star why they don't get along in school, she realizes that aside from the Happy Princess Beauty Pageant incident last semester, he never did anything to her personally, and she feels guilty when she realizes that she only mistreated him because Dash and Paulina disliked him and his friends, which she realize were shallow reasons.
  • Jerk-to-Nice-Guy Plot: Star Strong, in the first two stories goes from a selfish, shallow, spoiled brat who looks down and bully those that are below her, to a kind and caring girl willing to defend those she once look down on.
  • Lovable Alpha Bitch: Star is slowly becoming this.
  • Misery Builds Character: Star's experiences on the Island and forcing her to depend on Danny made her realize the fault in herself and made her into a better person.
  • Named by the Adaptation: Star didn't have her last name confirmed in the series. Since her second voice actress was Tara Strong, this was the name chosen.
  • Positive Friend Influence: Befriending Danny is what causes Star to undergo Character Development.
  • Secret Keeper: Star vows to never tell anyone Danny's secret without his permission.
  • Sibling Rivalry: Stepsisters Star and Colette hate each other and compete for things, with Colette usually winning due to Stella taking her side.
  • Single Woman Seeks Good Man: Star is slowly but surely falling in love with Danny Fenton, who she comes to realize is a good person with the smarts, courage and compassion she fails to receive from her friends.
  • Smitten Teenage Girl: Star is very much affectionate towards Danny now that they're dating.
  • Spoiled Sweet: After befriending Danny and leaving the A-listers, Star mellows out and becomes this.
  • Strong Family Resemblance: It's stated that she looks a lot like her mother, Stella.
  • Used to Be a Sweet Kid: Star was once a happy, nice girl as a child. However her parents divorce and her mother's corrupting influence and actions caused Star to be insecure enough to befriend toxic friends and become a selfish, shallow, 2 dimensional popular girl that we have seen in canon.
  • What You Are in the Dark:
    • Despite Danny telling her to leave and being scared out of her wits, Star refuses to abandon him at the mercy of a ghost when given the chance to run and hide.
    • Also, in "Lost", Star, unaware that they are the same person, turns down Danny Phantom when he says he has feelings for her, because she already has feelings for Danny Fenton.

Allies and Friends

     Tucker Foley
Danny's tech-savvy best friend.
  • Casanova Wannabe: He thinks he is a ladies man, but his skills leave a lot to be desired. He's notably bitter that now two girls he hit on are more interested in Danny.
  • Green-Eyed Monster: Downplayed, he is obviously jealous and bitter over his best friend managing to attract both Valerie and Star, both whom Tucker had previously hit on and was rebuffed. Thankfully, he gets over it quick.

     Sam Manson
Danny's female friend who distrusts Star's intentions.
  • Clingy Jealous Girl: Sam, unsurprisingly, isn't pleased that Star keeps getting close to Danny. Star thinks she should just get over Danny if she's never going to make a move.

     Jazz Fenton
Danny's older sister

     Jack Fenton
Danny's father.

     Maddie Fenton
Danny's mother.
  • Mama Bear: She is very protective of her children. She harmed Jean-Luc for trying to hit on her after saying rude things about her son.

     Johnathan Strong
Star's father. A divorced lawyer who's career leaves him little time to spend with his daughter but it's obvious he loves her above all.
  • Amazingly Embarrassing Parents: Johnathan seems to be a more sympathetic version since he at least tried to be nice to Danny and didn't realize that inviting himself and Star for Cocoa was embarrassing her.
  • Berserk Button: Do not mess with his daughter or he will not hesitate to take you to the courthouse.
  • Jerkass Has a Point: He plans to use his connections as a high ranking lawyer to terminate Stella's visitation rights so she can't see Star anymore. While it's true that he plans to manipulate the court system so Stella can't see Star anymore, he is right when he points out that she has been a bad parent, her thoughtlessness, not caring how her actions negatively influenced their daughter and the fact that she had sided with her step daughter over Star. What makes this worse is that unknown to Johnathan. Stella was a corrupting influence on Star, turning her into a selfish, shallow, 2 dimensional popular girl because he thought Stella still loved Star and encouraged her to spend time with her whenever she is in town. In hindsight it would have been better for Star if he cut Stella from Star's life from the start.
  • Loving a Shadow: Johnathan admit to himself that his love for Stella blind him to the tip of person she really was until it was to late.
  • Nice Guy: Despite his busy career, he is a decent man and a very loving father to Star.
  • Papa Wolf: He is very protective of his daughter.
  • Parents as People: He does love Star and cares for her well being, but he has a very busy schedule due to being a successful lawyer and rarely spends time with her. However, the moment he thinks her life is in danger, he leaps into action.
  • Self-Made Man: It's revealed that he came from a middle class family, but through hard work, became the successful lawyer he is today.
  • Shipper on Deck: Jonathan Strong seems to recognize his daughter's interest in Danny quickly and voices his approval of her new "friend" more than the A-Listers.

A ghostly puppy who can transform into a monster dog when excited.
  • Canine Companion: Accompanies Danny and Star while they are trapped in the Ghost Zone.
  • Shipper on Deck: Was happy to hear his favorite person has an admirer in Star.

The leader of the Far Frozen and one of Danny's ghostly allies.
  • Shipper on Deck: He sees Star is prettier and more amiable than Sam, thus thinking she is a worthy mate for Danny.

The Bevier Family

     Stella Bevier
Star's estranged mother.
  • Amazingly Embarrassing Parents: Star is mortified by Stella's comments and pretending to be a french person.
  • Aristocrats Are Evil:Downplayed. As she is more selfish and thoughtless then evil, but Stella is a woman that came from a wealthy, high-breed family, who has no respect for the middle class. It's also implied that her family is the same way, because according to her, she was raised to believe that her opinion mattered more than what the commoners believe.
  • Aw, Look! They Really Do Love Each Other: Stella was shown to be a selfish and neglectful parent who favored her new family, not care about how her actions effected Star, all while spoiling her rotten. When Star disappeared, she looked sincerely worried for her, then she show how selfish she truly is by refusing to take responsibility for Star's disappearance, going as far to say she sacrificed her figure to give birth to Star while her daughter missing. However when Jonathan tells Stella that he plans to terminate her visitation rights after calling her out for being a bad parent to their daughter. That and with Star still missing, causes Stella to realize just how serious this situation is, and shows that despite being selfish and shallow, Stella really does love her daughter deep down and wishes she was home safe.
  • Blue Blood: According to her, she was born to one of New York's richest families, who came there all the way from France generations ago.
  • Brainless Beauty: She looks like a grown up version of her daughter, but is lacking her common sense.
  • Break The Haighty: With Star going missing and Johnathan's threat to removed her visitation rights finally sets in, she realizes how selfish she was and wants Star back .
  • Fake Brit: More like Fake Frenchperson.
  • Innocently Insensitive: Stella doesn't seem to comprehend when her comments come off as rude or insulting to people she talks to or about.
  • Parental Favoritism: Stella seems guilty of preferring Colette over Star, which makes it even more tragic since Star is her biological child.
  • Parental Neglect: Stella is so engrossed with the rich lifestyle Jean-Luc lives that she barely has any time for Star.
  • Rich Bitch: She is very rich and also very haughty and stuck up.
  • Shipping Torpedo: She and Jean Luc dismiss the idea of Star being with Danny, finding him too plain and unimpressive for her.
  • Socialite: Stella is one.

     Jean Luc Bevier
A rich, womanizing French man. He is Star's step-father, Colette's father and Stella's second husband. He is a philandering jerk who is the reason Star's parents divorced.
  • Jerkass: Something the Bevier father and daughter have in common. Jean-Luc is a pompous jerk to anyone not attractive in a skirt, while Colette is a two-faced spoiled brat who makes hidden insults at Star.
  • Old Money: Unlike Stella's former husband,Johnathan, who is a hardworking Self-Made Man, Jean-Luc comes from an French old money family, who's fortune came from their vineyard.
  • Shipping Torpedo: He despises Danny and thinks that he is too plain and unimpressive for Star. He also opposes Colette's interest in him as well.

  • Your Cheating Heart: Jean-Luc flirted with women even when he was married. Colette's mother apparently left him because of this.

     Colette Bevier
Star's step sister. She acts like a well behaved girl around their parents, but deep down, she is a huge snob who hates Star and vice verse.
  • Abhorrent Admirer: She only flirted with Danny to annoy Star, but his rejection made her genuinely interested in him. However, he rejected her for a reason, namely he found her annoying.
  • Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: She acts sweet and polite around her parents, but in reality, she is a spoiled, manipulative and vapid person who messes with her step sister just for amusement.
  • Blue Blood: It's stated that she and her father come from a wealthy, old money family.
  • Bratty Teenage Daughter: Colette is Jean-Luc's spoiled brat daughter who likes to take what she wants whenever she wants.
  • Clingy Jealous Girl: Towards Danny.
  • Daddy's Girl: Jean-Luc lavishes her with anything she wants.
  • Dating What Daddy Hates: Subverted since Danny can't stand her, but Colette has a crush on Danny, whom her father believes is beneath her.
  • Dude Magnet: Most boys find her attractive, she knows it and flaunts it.
  • Dye Hard: Colette dyed her hair a bright red, as opposed to the brown hair her father has. The narration made it clear her hair is supposed to be like her father's.
  • Evil Redhead: Okay, she is not evil per say, but she is a self centered brat.
  • Freudian Excuse: It's implied that her nasty attitude stems from her mother leaving them, her father spoiling her and his constant remarriages.
  • Hopeless Suitor: Despite her good looks, she has no chance with Danny due to his interest in Star and the fact that he finds her obnoxious.
  • I Can Change My Beloved: While she is interested in Danny, she also seems to want to change him into a preferable boyfriend.
  • I Love You Because I Can'tControlYou: Colette originally hit on Danny to irritate Star, but his rejecting her advances made her like the "challenge" he presented.
  • It's All About Me: She is very spoiled, shallow self centered and thinks the world revolves around her.
  • Jerkass: Something the Bevier father and daughter have in common. Jean-Luc is a pompous jerk to anyone not attractive in a skirt, while Colette is a two-faced spoiled brat who makes hidden insults at Star.
  • Like Father Like Daughter: She and her father are a lot alike in terms of personality. Both are shallow, vain, snobbish and have little to no regards for other people. They are also not above taking an already committed lover for their own as Jean-Luc had seduced the then-married Stella into running away with him, while Colette is currently plotting to steal Danny away from Star.
  • Old Money: She and Jean-Luc come from an French old money family, who's fortune came from their vineyard.
  • Parental Title Characterization: Despite being the same age as Danny and Star, she refers to her father as "Papa" and Stella as "Mama".
  • Proud Beauty: She seems to be on par with Paulina, although she is more discreet about it.
  • Rich Bitch: Colette is spoiled by her father and is so used to getting what she wants that she won't take Danny saying no for an answer.
  • Shadow Archetype: She is one to Star. They're both children who live with their divorced father, but Colette is what Star could have ended up being like if Jonathan spoiled her.
  • Sibling Rivalry: She and Star hate each other and compete for things, with Colette usually winning due to Stella taking her side.
  • Spoiled Brat: She is so used to getting her way all of the time, that she won't accept it when she doesn't get something she wants.

     Paulina Sanchez

  • Alpha Bitch: She is the most popular girl at Casper High and she is as shallow as a puddle.
  • Dramatic Irony: Paulina thinks Star and Danny are perfect for each other because they're both losers, all while nursing a hopeless crush on Danny Phantom. Both are unaware that Star has been nursing a crush on Danny Fenton, Danny Phantom's true identity, and grown very close to him.
  • It's All About Me: Paulina refuses to change the cheer the squad have been using when Star finds it underwhelming, because she was the one who made it.
  • We Used to Be Friends: The end of Trapped has Star end their friendship when it was clear Paulina didn't care for her well-being.
