The home-world of all Cybertronians. Formed by the Life Giver Primus, it currently lies abandoned after the devastating war that ravaged the entire planet.

The Thirteen Original Primes

"Till all are one!"
The original Cybertronians that were created by Primus to battle Unicron for the final time. A group of thirteen beings who guides those who are in need of their wisdom and rule large portions of the universe from their great realm.
    In General
  • Adaptation Expansion: The Thirteen only appear in Transformers: Prime during flashbacks and discussions about the history of Cybertron, with Alpha Trion being the only one to have a speaking role. Here, they show up in the epilogue of R1 when C.C. asks them if she can give Optimus a Geass.
  • Non-Indicative Name: While there are supposedly Thirteen of them, only eleven are mentioned as being in the Realm of the Primes. Justified by the fact that one of them, Megatronus the Fallen, was explicitly kicked out sometime in the past, while the other reincarnated into Optimus Prime.
  • Precursors: They're not only the original Primes, but they're also the original Cybertronians to ever walk on the world their father created.
  • Reasonable Authority Figure: While most of them are justifiably worried about the Power of Geass, especially as they believe that it may have originated from Unicron, they allow Cera to form a contract with Optimus after the latter explains her motives. They also purify it, meaning that any Geass that Optimus acquires will not be corrupting like those that most humans have.

    Prima

Prima

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/image_2094.jpeg
"While Unicron is literally evil incarnate, as is his blood, power itself is neither nor good or evil. It is the intent of the user that makes it so."
The very first Cybertronian in existence and the first Prime. He was known as the Warrior of Light and is the original bearer of the Matrix of Leadership.
  • The Ace: He's the first and considered the strongest of the original Primes.
  • Big Good: Was the first Prime and the leader of the Original 13 when he was alive.
  • Light Is Good: Glowing white body and the very first Prime.
  • Master Swordsman: Was the first Matrix-bearer to wield the Star Saber.

    Vector Prime

Vector Prime

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/vectorprime_covenantofprimus.jpg
"Everything that exists eventually comes to an end. Whatever we built, will inevitably be destroyed; be it an object, the lives of others, or even civilizations."
Primus's appointed guardian of time and space, the second Prime to be created.
  • Broken Pedestal: Admits that he had lost faith in many of his siblings in the aftermath of their defeat of Unicron, letting themselves become ambitious and divided.
  • The Cameo: Appears in the finale of R1.
  • God's Hands Are Tied: He didn't interfere at all during the War for Cybertron because he was convinced You Can't Fight Fate, and it wouldn't have mattered if he did something, Cybertron was going to end, one way or the other.
  • God Is Flawed: He's the closest being to a god, and even he recognizes the flaws and failures of both himself and his fellow Primes.
  • Good is Not Nice: Yes, he wants to protect the Universe from the evil of Unicron, but he won't be nice in his way of helping.
  • Inadequate Inheritor: He doesn't think too highly of all the subsequent Primes that came before Optimus, seeing them as nothing but politicians who knew nothing about being a true Prime.
  • Last of Its Kind: Confirms that he is one of the last two original Primes who still has a physical body, the other being The Fallen.
  • Poke in the Third Eye: Vector Prime can normally observe things across space and time without issue, but whenever he tries to see things like the origins of Dark Energon on Earth or what happened when Beleth became the Skull by killing his sister and stealing her Code in a pool of said substance, his vision becomes obscured by a sort of "temporal interference" that manifests as literal Psychic Static. His best guess is that Unicron is deliberately keeping him from viewing those events by generating said interference.
  • Time Master: He's the Keeper of Space and Time, as such he can see in almost anywhere and in anytime, but there are even some things that elude his sight, like the true origin of the Dark Energon.
  • The Watcher: It's the duty appointed by Primus to watch the events across the time and space of the universe.
  • What the Hell, Hero?: He is on the receiving end of this, being called out by Lelouch, Rai, and Orpheus for not doing anything to help the Autobots against Megatron during the war for Cybertron, not only costing countless lives but allowing the conflict to spread to Earth. Lelouch outright calls him a disgrace to the title of Prime for this.
  • You Can't Fight Fate: Something he has come to firmly believe after seeing that all life is finite, which is why he has remained uninvolved in all the disasters that have plagued both Earth and Cybertron.

    Alpha Trion

Alpha Trion

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/copalphatrion.jpg
"We cannot change the past. But we can learn from it."
An ancient Autobot who is one of the 13 original Primes, the third Prime to be created, and Optimus Prime's beloved mentor before the Cybertronian War had started.
  • Adaptational Early Appearance: Alpha Trion appeared in Season 2 of Transformers: Prime through the Star Saber to deliver Optimus a message, while he appears in the penultimate chapter of R1 through the Matrix to help Optimus when the latter is hit with Megatron's Dark Geass.
  • Cool Old Guy: One of the very first Cybertronians in existence and the way Bumblebee and Smokescreen talk about him make Shirley wish she could have met him.
  • Friend to All Children: According to Smokescreen, he always had a soft spot for the younger generation.
  • Meaningful Name: It is questioned why he is called Alpha Trion instead of Alpha Prime if he was one of the original Primes. It is explained he was called that because he was the third Prime created, after Prima and Vector Prime.
  • The Mentor: He was this for Optimus Prime when the latter was known as Orion Pax. According to Smokescreen, he was also this to him.
  • Rule of Three: He was the third Prime to be created by Primus.
  • You Are Better Than You Think You Are: Appears in a vision created by the Matrix in Chapter 35 to help Optimus when he's affected by Megatron's Dark Geass, reminding his former student of the good he has done, as well as passing on what he has learned to Lelouch.

    Solus Prime

Solus Prime

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/image_5687.jpeg
"Do not be so indifferent with her. The poor girl's been through such turmoil, the least we can do is be courteous."
The sole female and weapon-smith of the Thirteen.
  • Pink Is Feminine: The first female Cybertronian and she's silverly pink with pink eyes.
  • The Smurfette Principle: Is the only female member of the Original Primes, and is the first female Cybertronian.
  • Ultimate Blacksmith: Created some of the most powerful Cybertronian weapons and artifacts while she was alive.
  • Weapon-Based Characterization: Used a forge that carries her name when she was alive that could create powerful weapons and artifacts, the Star Saber being one of said weapons.

    Micronus Prime

Micronus Prime

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/image_5462.jpeg
"And here I thought you seeing us through the Matrix would be a dead giveaway."
The smallest member of the Thirteen and the first Mini-Con.

    Onyx Prime

Onyx Prime

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/10onyxprime.jpg
The first beast-form Cybertronian, known as the "Lord of Beasts".
  • The Cameo: Appears at the end of R1 with the other Primes.
  • Feather Motif: He has two gigantic wings with metallic feathers.
  • Little Bit Beastly: The first Cybertronian with a beast mode and his robot mode clearly shows this.

    Quintus Prime

Quintus Prime

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/12quintusprime.jpg
The scientist of the Original 13 Primes.

    Liege Maximo

Liege Maximo

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tfpliegemaximo.jpg
"The Prime of Lies", known for his manipulation.
  • The Cameo: Appears in R1's epilogue.
  • Manipulative Bastard: Was the most manipulative of the Original Primes and held the title "The Prime of Lies". When Cera meets the Original Primes in Till All Are One, she can feel an aura of manipulation coming from Maximo.
  • Token Evil Teammate: With the vanishing of The Fallen, Maximo is now the most morally dubious among the remaining Primes.

    Alchemist Prime

Alchemist Prime

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/8alchemistprime.jpg
A Prime who was said to have a deep connection with the elements.

    Nexus Prime

Nexus Prime

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/5nexusprime.jpg
The first Cybertronian Combiner.
  • The Cameo: Appears in the epilogue of R1. He also appears to Leila, Akito, Ryo, Ayano, and Yukiya in a vision in R2's Valley of Kings and Titans.
  • Combining Mecha: He was the original Combiner created by Primus. In his cameo appearance in Valley of Kings and Titans, Leila and the Black Wyverns all note how his limbs look like they can operate on their own.
  • Humongous Mecha: As he the first Cybertronian to possess Combiner technology, this naturally made him the biggest member of the Original Thirteen Primes.

    Amalgamous Prime

Amalgamous Prime

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/9amalgamousprime.jpg
The prankster of the Thirteen, and the first Shifter.

    The Fallen

Megatronus Prime / The Fallen

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/megatronusprime.jpg
The former guardian of entropy and Warrior of Darkness who had fell from grace and was cast out from the Realm of the Primes.
  • The Ghost: He has only been mentioned in the story's narration.
  • Eviler than Thou: In a sense — while Liege Maximo is arguably more villainous than Megatronus Prime, and is directly responsible for the latter's fallnote , the former was created evil to uphold the Balance Between Good and Evil. Megatronus actively chose to be evil of his own accord. This is why Megatronus was excised from the Matrix of Leadership while Maximo remains within — Maximo still carries out his intended function while Megatronus forsook his duty in the name of vengeance.
  • Fallen Hero: Megatronus was one of the original Primes before he turned on his siblings. This led to the Primes removing his spark from the Matrix, which is why Cera doesn't see him in the Realm of the Primes.
  • Last of Its Kind: The Fallen is one of the last two original Primes that still has a physical body, the other being Vector Prime, of course.
  • Villainous Legacy: Megatron took up his name as a gladiator, and he eventually fell into darkness like his namesake.

    The Thirteenth Prime
See this page for his reincarnation, Optimus Prime.

Predacons

A race of long-extinct Cybertronian beasts that were wiped out during a natural cataclysm before Cybertron's Golden Age.
    In General
  • Evil Counterpart: Nothing confirmed, but it's been indicated that they will be the Dinobots' counterpart on the Decepticons, being powerful bots who transform into reptilian themed alt-modes.
  • The Ghost: The author has said in R1 that they will appear at some point in R2. Predaking finally appears at the end of Damocles Rises.

    Predaking

Predaking

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/evolution_predaking_stand_8.jpg
Click here to see his Alt-mode
"You may refer to me... as Predaking."
An ancient and powerful Cybertronian predator from age long past.
  • Adaptational Early Appearance: Played With. Predaking in general appears in canon through Prime Season 3 and doesn't transform until the midway point. Here, he makes an appearance as early as R2, which adapts elements of Season 2, but also contains some elements of Season 3 as well. This includes both his general appearance and robot mode.
  • Flying Firepower: He's a massive and fossil-revived Cybertronian dragon, which means he can both fly and unleash a devastating Breath Weapon. It's his major advantage on Devastator in their fight, as while the combiner can at least match Predaking in strength, he has no real answer to Predaking just flying circles around him and sniping him with his fire breath. Devastator only manages to grab him when Predaking closes the distance while he's down to bite his neck.
  • The Ghost: Doesn't appear in R1. Is mentioned in R2 as a project Shockwave is currently developing, and later appears as Megatron's secret weapon against the Black Knight-Autobot alliance on Horai Island.
  • The Juggernaut:
    • Took on the Constructicons in his opening battle. And won. Even when they were in combiner mode.
    • During his first proper fight with the Autobots, no individual can take him one-on-one. Not even Grimlock can beat him in a straight fight. It takes being effectively dogpiled by all the Dinobots to be halted, and then further attacked by every spare Autobot and Black Knight on the field just to visibly be wounded.
  • Know When to Fold 'Em: As the last "unaccounted" Decepticon at the end of The Battle of Darkmount, Predaking decides to fly out to survive another day rather than die in a foolish final attack.
  • Lightning Bruiser: He's strong enough to rip apart Cybertronians without effort, durable enough to take hits from a combiner like Devastator, and fast enough that his victims who run for their lives inevitably get run down.
  • Made of Iron: Predaking's cybertonian outer hide is so strong, it's even immune to Devastator's Vortex Grinder.
  • Only Known by Their Nickname: As in Prime, Predaking shows little indication that he has more than an animal's intelligence, so everyone just calls him The Predacon. This changes when the Kingdom of Zilkstan forms an alliance with him.
  • Super Prototype: The very first Predacon created by Shockwave, and the one he devoted all his spare time and research into perfecting as the ultimate hunter. He blows apart Devastator, considered one of the Decepticon's aces, by himself and makes quick work of the separated Constructicons afterwards.
  • Super-Strength: He treats smacking around and ripping Cybertronians apart like he's shredding tissue paper. The only thing capable of at least matching his strength so far is Devastator, and their fight shows he's not that far behind in terms of physical power given how much effort the Combiner needs to put in holding him in a bear hug.
  • Unseen No More: Makes his first proper appearance in R2 being awakened from his pod to prepare for Megatron's counterattack at the end of Damocles Rises.
  • Villain: Exit, Stage Left: Manages to escape the final battle against the Decepticons in R2.

The Twin Brothers of Light and Chaos

The Cybertronian creator deity and his evil twin, the Chaos Bringer.
    Primus

Primus

The benevolent God of Light and Creation, the creator deity of all Cybertronians. Once locked in a perpetual stalemate with his dark brother Unicron, he had defeated him by creating the Thirteen Primes. Like his brother, Primus' influence continues to the present day in the form of the Matrix of Leadership.
  • Cain and Abel: The Abel to his brother Unicron's Cain as Primus vows to protect all of existence from the great darkness that is his brother.
  • Divine Conflict: He and Unicron engaged in a seemingly never-ending conflict for untold millennia until he created the Thirteen Original Primes, which allowed him to tip the conflict in his favor, finally winning the conflict of Light and Chaos.
  • God Is Good: Unlike his dark brother, Primus is all compassionate deity and always will be the embodiment of light, order, and good throughout the universe, as he created the Cybertronian species, especially a great hero among them.
  • The Ghost: During the early days of the war between the Autobots and Decepticons, Primus went dormant in order to heal the planet from the foul influence of Dark Energon caused by Megatron when the warmonger tried to control the Core of Cybertron.
  • Greater-Scope Paragon: He created the Thirteen Primes to stop his twin brother from destroying all life in the universe, gave life to the Cybertronian race through the Well of the Allsparks, and he gave a young Optimus the Matrix of Leadership in order for their kind to continue existing during the Dark Energon crisis.
  • Light Is Good: the Life Giver embodies Light and Good, and the Matrix that contains his essence glows white.

    Unicron

Unicron the Chaos Bringer

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/oneshallrise1_unicronsilhouette.jpg
"And so... I shall begin... again."
The malevolent God of Chaos and Destruction. Defeated eons ago by his brother Primus and his children the Original Thirteen, his dark influence continues to the present day and is a force that all fear and cannot comprehend.
  • Arch-Enemy:
    • Primus as always. The two brothers oppose each other due to their opposite natures as deities and the fact that Unicron vowed to destroy all of the universe, then rule over what remains of it as the supreme ruler. By extension, he considered Primus' disciples this as well, namely Optimus and his friends.
    • The Destroyer of Worlds is also setting up to be Cera's very own arch nemesis in R3 as the head of the Gypsies once said to her that the Chaos Bringer had stolen her soul.
  • Adaptational Early Appearance: The malevolent Lord of the Undead makes his debut in the opening arc of the series in Lelouch's vision when he is about to make a contract with Cera, where the Chaos Bringer is seen fighting his brother, Primus.
  • Adaptational Origin Connection: A rather worrisome example, but since he appears in the visions Cera can induce in others, and Megatron can obtain his Dark Geass by combining Dark Energon with Geass energy, it's strongly implied that Unicron has some relation to the origin of Geass. When Cera meets the original Primes in Till All Are One while giving Optimus a Geass, the Primes reveal this possibility to her. Finally clarified in R2, where it's revealed that Unicron isn't the source of Geass as a whole, but is the source of inherently evil Geasses, as the first evil human Geass user, Beleth, turned into a sort of evil Code-Bearer after being immersed in Dark Energon.
  • As Long as There Is Evil: As the representation of Chaos and Destruction, the Planet Eater himself can never be truly destroyed by regularly means, only defeated and sealed.
  • Big Bad: Unicron is setting up to be the main antagonist of R3 but is ultimately the true main antagonist of the entire series as he hatches a mysterious plan that could threaten existence itself and leading the Chaos Bringer to become the greatest nemesis of the Autobot-Black Knight Alliance more than Megatron could ever be to the heroes but yet more personal for Cera.
  • The Dreaded: The God of Chaos and Destruction is a very terrifying and more malevolent being than even the Lord of the Decepticons could ever able to be.
  • Eviler than Thou: Britannia is a world-conquering empire that regularly commits atrocities against those they defeat but the Fallen Empire thought they were bringing the "light of salvation" to their world. The Decepticons are much the same yet they were honest about their dark deeds, albeit leaning towards Galactic Conqueror. Unicron would quite literally destroy the universe because its existence offends him. The only saving grace is that he is likely far, far away from the main cast... at least, as far as we know... His appearance at the end of R2 sees him seemingly devour the Skull alongside Megatron and V.V., all for the sake of a mysterious and unknown plan that he is scheming.
  • Fantastic Racism: The God of Chaos considers all of humanity to be parasites living on his tomb since they began their existence. Ones he intends to remove soon...
  • Foreshadowing:
    • When the Decepticons find a deposit of Dark Energon on Earth, they are visibly confused, and unsure why it is on the planet. Unicron is Earth itself, so it can be assumed the deposit of Dark Energon (said to be his blood) is, in essence, a healed over wound.
    • A very... very disturbing allusion, but as of the R2's chapter Valley of Kings and Titans, the possibility of his awakening is very strongly hinted by at Beleth.
  • The Ghost: Unicron has been mentioned several times throughout the series but hasn't made an appearance... yet. In Valley of Kings and Titans, it is strongly implied that he will appear soon. He finally makes an appearance in R2's epilogue.
  • Greater-Scope Villain: As the Ancient Enemy of the Primes and the creator of Dark Energon which is said to be his blood, Unicron is the greatest threat to all, beyond anything the heroes ever faced. The Thirteen Primes stated to Cera their belief that the Chaos Bringer is somehow the source of Geass, which would indirectly make him responsible for much of the plot. The Decepticons were using the the Blood of the Chaos Bringer for various purposes in their empire and while the malevolent spirit Beleth's dark powers come from being immersed in Dark Energon while trying to steal his father's code.
  • Horns of Villainy: The first thing noticeable in the brief glimpses of the monster is that his demonic massive horns.
  • Horrifying the Horror: As the Chaos Bringer, he made Beleth frozen in fear at the mere sight of his eyes.
  • Names to Run Away from Really Fast: Unicron the Chaos Bringer, those in the universe who have heard that name have been in fear of his return ever since to the point they don't mention his name.
  • Sealed Evil in a Can: Word of God is that Unicron is still the Earth's core in this story. You can start panicking now.
