The main protagonist of the original trilogy and Deuteragonist of the seventh film, Andy is the second most recurring character in the series. On his 6th birthday, he receives a Good Guy Doll from his mother as a present. Unfortunately, it turns out it's possessed by a serial killer named Chucky who wishes to use Andy as a human host. Throughout the first three films, Andy is relentlessly pursued by Chucky in an attempt to either kill or transfer his soul into him while Andy constantly fights back to stop him.

After a 2-movie absence from the franchise, an adult Andy shows up at the end of "Curse of Chucky" and ends up playing a major role in both Cult of Chucky and the Syfy series.

• And Then What?: In the TV series, as the group prepares to kill the last Chucky, Andy confides to Father Bryce that he has been chasing Chucky for so long, that he doesn't know what he'll do if he actually dies for good.
• Ascended Extra: In the second and third films, where Andy is given more screen time in contrast to his Supporting Protagonist role in the first film (where the role of The Hero is filled by either his mother Karen or Detective Mike Norris). Same can be said of his role in Cult after his cameo appearance in Curse.
• Arch-Enemy: To Chucky. Chucky's repeated failure to kill Andy and/or steal his body has become a sore subject for the killer doll, as evidenced by Nica managing to get under Chucky's skin with her taunts about "completion anxiety". Whenever Chucky revisits Andy in adulthood in order to finish the job, the now-Genre Savvy Andy always gets the better of him, and Chucky can do nothing but scream impotent curses at him as Andy kills/tortures the little shit for the umpteenth time.
• Big Good: Has taken up this role in Curse, Cult and the TV series due to his past experience with Chucky and how he is willing to take steps to put a stop to his next killing sprees if he returns.
• Birds of a Feather: With Nica Pierce. The TV series depicts their first meeting, where Nica and Andy both mention the ways in which Chucky has brought harm to them that has spanned their entire lives, as Andy was tormented by the doll serial killer during his childhood while Nica was paralyzed by him before she was even born.
• Break the Cutie: In first and second films as a child, when he is constantly pursued by the killer doll and is helpless to find anyone to believe him, help him and to acknowledge his innocence when Chucky frames Andy for his actions, especially in the film series' unkind universe. This even continues into his adulthood as it's revealed in Cult of Chucky that Andy is now a weed-smoking gun collector who struggles to find a date partly down to his past.
• Broken Pedestal: To Joanne in the second film after being framed for Phil's murder, resulting in her to Took a Level in Jerkass and end up an Asshole Victim not long after. Averted with the third film, as while he was Wrongly Accused by another character Major Ellis for his commander Shelton's death, Ellis to begin with already had established a low viewpoint of Andy under Shelton's entourage unlike characters in the film who initially supported the protagonist, but then turned against them after getting disillusioned by the initial viewpoints of them once catching them around the deaths of their acquaintances. In addition, Major Ellis is the only character who made a false accusation against the protagonist in the films overall who survives up to the end, while most key characters who made false accusations would be killed by Chucky not long after.
• The Bus Came Back: After a long absence from the plot starting since 3, he finally comes back in a cameo in Curse before returning to proper protagonist status in Cult.
• Butt-Monkey: It's one thing that next to nobody is willing to believe him about the danger Chucky poses, but his entire life story makes him arguably one of the biggest ones in all of horror. He's separated from his mother, constantly framed/blamed for Chucky's atrocities, and ends up getting sent to a military school after failing to readjust to society. Even after he grows up he still suffers from this, as Cult shows him living a secluded life and eventually locked in the mental institution where he'll likely be blamed for Chucky's latest killing spree again.
• Cassandra Truth: No matter how hard he tries, very few believe him about Chucky being alive and trying to kill people.
• Convicted by Public Opinion: Due to no one believing in Killer Dolls and he happens by circumstances to turn up with a death occurring around him and just before the victims' last interaction with him, Andy unfortunately finds himself as this as he is Wrongly Accused as the murderer by others rather then Chucky despite having never been officially charged with first degree murder, from being suspected by the detectives Mike Norris and Jack Santos and institutionalized by Dr. Ardmore in the first film to being welcomed Hate at First Sight by Phil Simpson and Miss Kettlewell and her students in the second film and Colonel Cochrane, Cadet Lieutenant Colonel Brett C. Shelton, his lackey Cadet Major Ellis and their military school classmates in the third film to finally having fingers easily pointed at him as a killer by those closest to the victims such as Phil's wife Joanne who was initially fond of Andy until his death immediately disillusioned her with him basing presumably out of Phil having confiding to her off-screen of how he thinks Andy could be a killer rather than a traumatized victim in the second film and Ellis for the death of his superior Shelton out of their shared established low opinion of him being trouble from the moment they set eyes at him as a New Meat green man the first time they met beforehand in the third film.
• Crazy-Prepared: Had a shotgun within a moment's reach in Curse, just in case Chucky happened to come back. In Cult he's shown to be a gun collector. Also, he even went as far as to smuggle a gun inside a Chucky doll and to have Kyle arrive at his cabin to torture the original Chucky head.
• Disappeared Dad: His father Bob Barclay is deceased and never appears alive onscreen.
• Earn Your Happy Ending: Both he and his mom certainly did, as shown at the end of Curse. Sadly, this was subverted for him by the end of Cult.
• Experienced Protagonist: From Child's Play 2 onward, Andy knows that Chucky is evil and out for him, which often puts him at odds with the unsuspecting adults he's surrounded by.
• Fall Guy: Chucky endlessly pins a long list of murders on Andy.
  • In the first movie, Chucky kills Andy's babysitter and his Dirty Coward Fair-Weather Friend Eddie Caputo and was perfectly willing to let Andy take the fall for it, threatening to kill Andy if he squealed about Chucky actually being a living person inside a doll.
  • In the second movie, Chucky kills Phil and Andy takes the blame for it who happened to be at the exact same scene Phil is killed.
  • In Cult, Chucky inside Nica's body locks up Andy inside a room of the mental asylum where Chucky committed several murders and leaves Andy to be dealt with by the hospital staff while Chucky escapes.
• Foster Kid: Andy is sent to a foster home with Phil and Joanne, as his mother Karen is undergoing psychiatric evaluation due to the Chucky situation.
• Hated by All: A subverted example. Andy's reputation was so damaged by Chucky's misdeeds and getting framed by him that is made him a locally mass social outcast of a pariah in front of everyone in this World of Jerkass. However, Chucky reveals that Kyle doesn't hate him. He also develops a friendship with Nica based on their shared trauma caused by Chucky in the TV series.
• Hero with Bad Publicity: No one believes his claims that Chucky is alive and some even suspect him of being the murderer, to a point he can be viewed easily as a Broken Pedestal to those who sided with him like his foster mother Joanne in the second film because of his bad reputation and fingers can easily point to him due to the one who he's enemies with (like Phil and Miss Kettlewell in the second film or Shelton in the third film) gets killed just after butting heads with him. This continues into his adult life when his date in Cult breaks it off due to Googling him. And then there's the ending...
• He Who Fights Monsters: By the time of Cult his sanity is slipping and he's becoming just as ruthless of a killer as Chucky being ever so determined to kill Chucky (who in Cult has just gained the power to clone himself).
• Invincible Hero: Downplayed in Curse of Chucky. Needless to say he was prepared for Chucky this time around, and Chucky virtually didn't stand a chance. This even continues in Cult of Chucky as while the film doesn't end well for him, he's at the very least still alive.
• It's Personal: Andy mentions the killing of his babysitter (in the original film) and his foster parents (in the second film) by Chucky in the TV series, showing that he has never forgotten how the latter hurt him.
• Lethal Chef: As seen by his first scene when he wants to give his mommy breakfast in bed and brings her an incredibly unappetizing meal. He's just a kid at the time, though; the trope likely doesn't apply to older Andy, who would've grown out of the "creativity" that comes with children trying to cook.
• Loser Protagonist: He's a Hero with Bad Publicity who is framed for Chucky's killings and ends up a pariah to others despite never being officially convicted by the law for them.
• Loves the Sound of Screaming: Or at least Chucky's screaming. He reveals in episode 6 of the first season of the TV series that he enjoyed listening to Chucky's screams as he tormented him.
• Made of Iron: Taken to extremes in the TV series. He is caught in the middle of an explosion caused by a homemade bomb which he survives without sign of any major injury, he drives a delivery truck off a cliff while still inside it and is only rendered unconscious, and is then tortured by Chucky for an entire year, with Chucky frequently cutting off tiny pieces of the flesh in Andy's leg. Excluding the moment where he is overpowered and knocked out by the older Dr. Mixter, Andy never appears to be any worse for wear physically.
• Military School: He has been sent to Kent Military Academy after having failed to cope in several foster homes.
• Older and Wiser: As an adult having Seen It All during his childhood, he is seemingly more calm, desensitized and competent towards the face of danger caused by Chucky than the scared little boy and teenager he was in the original trilogy. Though having to become a weed-smoker to de-stress may have something to do with it.
• Only Sane Man: Unlike the other characters who are either Too Dumb to Live, Jerkasses and Asshole Victims, or a Flat-Earth Atheist who are all vulnerable to Chucky's wrath, Andy, along with a few other supporting characters firmly on his side like his mother, Detective Mike Norris and Kyle, is able to recognize the danger Chucky poses and takes steps to avoid falling victim to the Killer Doll. It slowly becomes Only Sane by Comparison starting around Cult and the TV series though, as he begins taking more reckless measures (like getting himself locked in an asylum with Chucky to stop him) over the course of his war.
• Out of Focus: He's completely absent and not even mentioned in the 4th and 5th movies.
• Pre-Mortem One-Liner:
  • "This is the end, friend!"
  • "Play with this!"
  • "This is the end, fucker!"
• Sanity Slippage: By Cult, it's clear that years of being hunted by and contending with Chucky have taken a toll on Andy. His hobby is torturing Chucky's decapitated head with whatever's around his house (blades, torches, etc.), while he takes extremely reckless measures in his war against Chucky across that film and the TV series. He even admits that he enjoyed torturing Chucky, later telling Father Bryce that he's unsure of what to do after Chucky dies because their vendetta has robbed him of any chance at a normal life.
• Supporting Protagonist: In the first and the seventh films, where the major roles of the protagonists are filled by his mother and Mike Norris in the former, and Nica Pierce (until she gets possessed by Chucky) in the latter.
• Time-Shifted Actor: Zigzagged. After being played by Alex Vincent in the first two films, he's then portrayed by Justin Whalin in Child's Play 3 before Vincent returns to the role in Curse.
• Took a Level in Badass: In Child's Play 3, he deals Chucky his killing blows, and in Curse of Chucky, he has apparently been waiting for another visit from him to which he greets him with a shotgun blast to the face. This is elevated in Cult of Chucky in which it's revealed that he keeps the Original Stitched!Chucky's decapitated-yet-alive head in his possession and regularly tortures him. As well as this he brutally DESTROYS Buzzcut!Chucky by stomping him in the head after preemptively hiding a pistol in the doll's stomach (which he retrieved by disembowelling him) and unloading the entire clip into him.
• Tragic Hero: A Hero with Bad Publicity since a child whose childhood was destroyed and whose life was effectively ruined by Chucky framing him for his crimes set in a World of Jerkass.
• Villain Killer: He's layed a direct or indirect role in each of Chucky's deaths throughout the original trilogy.

An orphan being fostered by Phil and Joanne Simpson. She becomes close to Andy after he comes to stay with the Simpsons.

• And This Is for...: In the second season of the TV series, she hits Andy twice and announces the hits are for ditching her at the gas station and having her worried sick.
• Apologetic Attacker: She apologizes to Jake and Lexy after drugging them to keep them out of harm's way.
  Kyle: I'm really sorry. I feel terrible. But Andy would kill me if I let anything happen to you.
• Big Good: In the second movie, as she is the only adult standing in the way between eight-year old Andy and Chucky the killer doll.
• Big Sister Instinct: She makes it very clear that she won't let anyone hurt Andy.
• Broken Bird: She's gloomy and sullen all the time stemming from her Parental Abandonment as her father walked out before she was born and her mother put her up for adoption when she was three.
• Burger Fool: Kyle says she's working a part-time job (probably a waitress or cashier) to save up money for legal emancipation.
• The Bus Came Back: After a large disappearance after the second film, she finally reappears for the first time in 27 years in The Stinger of Cult.
• The Cameo: Appears in The Stinger of Cult.
• Cool Big Sister: Becomes this to Andy.
• Deadpan Snarker: Can be quite the wisecracker.
  Chucky: (sees cops coming) Floor it!
  Kyle: Get real. This is a station wagon.
• Dull Surprise: More or less. Once Chucky reveals himself to her, the scene cuts to him forcing her to drive at the foster care center.
• Ear Ache: Due to surviving the explosion from Chucky’s childhood home, Kyle lost an ear.
• Expy: Some note her similarities to Karen.
• Final Girl: Of the second movie.
• Friend to All Children: She treats Andy very well as a child, even risking her life to save him from Chucky, and is very friendly toward Becky in the Chucky series.
• Gender-Blender Name: "Kyle" is rather unusual for a girl.
• Happily Married: The Chucky series reveals Kyle is married and seems to have a rather happy marriage.
• Locked Out of the Loop: Andy didn't tell Kyle about the severed head of Chucky that he kept alive for four years.
• Only One Name: Her last name has yet to be revealed.
• Only Sane Woman: She shares this with Andy in contrast with the other supporting characters who are either Too Dumb to Live or Jerkasses. Unlike Andy and Nica in the TV series, she remains this even as they slip into more self-destructive tactics.
• Supporting Protagonist: In Child's Play 2.
• Theme Naming: With Karen and Kristin as the female leads with "K" names who are close to Andy in the first three movies.
• Tomboyish Name: Fittingly for a Final Girl.

Chucky and Tiffany's child who's both gender-confused and anatomically confusing.

• Ambiguous Gender: Not even they know if they're a boy or girl. The fact that they're not anatomically correct doesn't help. Settles on male at the end of Seed but Chucky states they are genderfluid in season 1 of the Chucky series. When they properly debut in the TV series, they possess a far more feminine appearance in contrast to their twin.
• Author Avatar: According to Don Mancini, the character was based on his own relationship to his father and his sexual confusion.
• Barbie Doll Anatomy: At least as a doll. Despite having a male appearance, they have no genitalia.
• Beware the Nice Ones: They hate violence in all forms, but will wreak bloody vengeance if someone hurts their mother. Chucky learned that the hard way much to both his shock and joy.
• Broken Pedestal: Before the TV series, Glen, who thought highly of their mother, gradually realizes that she's a kidnapper, murderer, and body thief. It doesn't stop them from loving her, though.
• Children Are Tender-Hearted: They're a tender-hearted child who despises violence.
• Evil Redhead: An inversion. They've got red hair, and they're anything but evil.
• Gene Hunting: At the start of Seed, Glen goes in search of their parents after learning they're going to be featured in a new Jennifer Tilly movie.
• Gratuitous Japanese: Does this in Seed. They even call Tiffany "okaasan" on a couple occasions. Apparently justified by them growing up believing they were Japanese due to the "Made in Japan" on their wrist.
• Jekyll & Hyde: The Jekyll to Glenda's Hyde.
• Long Hair Is Feminine: As a young adult, they sport long locks, as opposed to Glenda’s Boyish Short Hair.
• Meaningful Rename: After they merge back with Glenda as one person in their doll body, they decide to go by GG as a combination of their initials.
• Momma's Boy: They get along better with Tiffany than they do with Chucky in contrast to Glenda being Daddy's Girl.
• Morality Pet: To Tiffany. It's because of their existence that Tiffany vows to give up killing (not that it lasts).
• Nice Guy: They're a real sweetheart. Their nanny even calls them an "angel" and an "absolute dream" to take care of. They even forgave Nica despite shooting them and attempting to kill their mother Tiffany.
• Only Sane Man: Or rather "Only Sane Doll". Compared to Chucky and Tiffany and their Glenda personality/twin they are the most normal member of the Ray family.
• Polyamory: In the tv series, it is revealed they and Glenda both share the same boyfriend, named Paul. Tiffany just remarks it sounds complicated.
• Shout-Out: Their time being enslaved as an entertainer's puppet to make money for their master then escaping and their quest to become a real child all seem inspired by Pinocchio.
• Taking the Bullet: When Nica tries to shoot Tiffany, they jumped in the way to protect their mother and got shot in the process.
• Token Good Teammate: Compared to their parents and their twin, Glenda.
• Twitchy Eye: When they sees someone get killed, that's their natural reaction.
• Undying Loyalty: Even after learning that their mother is a killer, they still care for her and protect her from being shot, getting shot in the process.
• Unfortunate Names: Their original name, "Shitface." Tiffany invokes the latter trope when Glen introduces themself with that name. Granted the person who gave them the name was an asshole.
  Tiffany: Now what kind of a name is that?
• What Happened to the Mouse?: They aren't mentioned in Curse or Cult but get mentioned in the first season of Chucky. Glen, as well as Glenda, eventually return in the second season of the TV series, now young adults.
• Who Are You?: Asks this verbatim after Tiffany kills Jennifer's sister Meg and immediately starts crying afterward.
• White Sheep: You have their father who is an infamous serial killer, their mother who happily enables him and occasionally helps, and their twin who is an Enfant Terrible who has physically bullied at least one kid and didn't bat an eye after watching their mother kill their nanny. It's hard to believe that Glen is a Ray with their gentler personality and distaste for killing.
• You Killed My Mother: Doubles as Patricide; they hack up their dad Chucky as revenge for axing their mother Tiffany. They do show remorse and regret for this, however.

Glen's Evil Twin who shares the same body as Glen in Seed.

• Above Good and Evil: Ultimately this. They are neither truly good or evil, and as they put it, on their own side.
• Anti-Hero: A Nominal Hero in the TV series. They are not above killing people and certainly have a vicious streak, but are ultimately on the side of good as they aid Nica in escaping Tiffany and ally with their parents’ adversaries to help defeat them.
• Ax-Crazy: So much so that Chucky is freaked out by it. Some fans even speculate that it was Glenda, not Glen, who attacked Lieutenant Preston at the end of Bride. Glenda, unlike Glen, knows that they and Glen share the same body and thinks that's more of a laughable matter than a tragedy.
• Boyish Short Hair: They sport this hairstyle when they return in the TV series.
• Daddy's Girl: To Chucky in contrast to Glen being a Momma's Boy to Tiffany.
• Enfant Terrible: Discussed. After they acquire a human body, a nanny states they've done terrible things like giving a kid a bloody nose then bragging about it at show-and-tell with pictures, as well as stealing money from their nanny's purse. Eventually subverted in the TV series when they become reluctant to commit such acts (save killing Tiffany's butler).
• Establishing Character Moment: When we're introduced to them, they kill Joan.
• Even Evil Has Loved Ones: Downplayed, since they're not as evil in the TV series. But despite being more willing to kill than Glen and looking down on them for it, they still love their sibling.
• Evil Redhead: They're evil alright, and their hair is naturally red (both as a human and as a doll, though they do wear a blonde wig when introduced). Eventually subverted in the TV series.
• Evil Twin: Functions as Glen's, ultimately becoming his literal twin when their souls are separated from the same doll body and transferred into Jennifer Tilly's twin babies.
• Evil Wears Black: They're definitely evil, and they wear some black when we're first introduced to them.
• Everyone Has Standards: By the time of the TV series. They are willing to kill without remorse including their own mother and look down on Glen's unwillingness as weakness. Yet they only kill with a cause and are disgused by their parents' selishiness and willingness to kill random people without reason or the drop of a hat.
• Heel–Face Turn: In the TV series, while still willing to kill, they only do so with cause, have stopped the random acts of misbehavior, and are so disgusted by their parents they help stop their schemes.
• Jekyll & Hyde: The Hyde to Glen's Jekyll.
• Light Is Not Good: When we're introduced to them, they're wearing white, and they kill Joan.
• Like Mother, Like Daughter: They proudly repeat this word-for-word saying they patterned the dress they made herself after Tiffany's. Though personality-wise, they're more like Chucky.
• Makeup Is Evil: When we meet her, she's wearing make-up. She's also one of the most malicious characters in the series.
• Meaningful Rename: After they merge back with Glen as one person in their doll body, they decide to go by GG as a combination of their initials.
• Nominal Hero: While they're on the side in the TV series and genuinely care about Glen, she is still willing to kill people to stop her parents' schemes.
• Offstage Villainy: According to a nanny, they stole money from her purse, gave another child a bloody nose, brought pictures of it for show-and-tell, and bragged about it. We don't see any of this in-person.
• Psycho Pink: Some of the make-up they wear during their introduction scene is pink, and they wear a pink dress at the end of Seed of Chucky. They are also shown to be rather unstable.
• Polyamory: In the TV series, it is revealed they and Glen share the same boyfriend, named Paul. Tiffany just remarks it sounds complicated.
• Pyromaniac: They Joan to death by lighting her on fire with a hairdryer and candle, then gloats and laughs that they just "fired" Joan.
• Retired Monster: They apparently gave up killing after becoming a human, but they're still just as nasty. Until the TV series, when she helps stop Chucky and Tiffany's evil schemes.
• Sadist: If their smiling when Tiffany kills the nanny says anything.
• Split Personality: They are an expression of Glen's homicidal tendencies.
• Troubling Unchildlike Behavior: Children typically don't burn someone to death like they did during their Establishing Character Moment and there's all the things the nanny tells Tiffany that Glenda has done.
• Walking Spoiler: Their whole existence is a Spoiler for Seed of Chucky.

• Action Survivor: Through and through, Nica won't back down from Chucky or Tiff.
• An Arm and a Leg: At the end of Season 1 of Chucky, Tiffany cuts off her arms and legs to ensure that Chucky won't be able to do anything the next time he takes her over.
• Broken Pedestal: To her brother-in-law Ian in Curse after being framed for Barb's and Jill's deaths and Alice's kidnapping, resulting in him to Took a Level in Jerkass in a misguided Papa Wolf attempt and end up an Asshole Victim not long after. Averted in Cult in regards to Claire, as she to begin with already had an established low viewpoint of Nica unlike characters in the film who initially supported the protagonist, but then turned against them after getting disillusioned by the initial viewpoints of them once catching them around the deaths of their acquaintances.
• Cain and Abel: The Abel to Barb's Cain.
• Convicted by Public Opinion: Due to no one believing in Killer Dolls even after nearly thirty years in the films' timeframe since the first film and she happens by circumstances to turn up with a death occurring around him and just before the victims' last interaction with her, Nica unfortunately finds herself as this as she is Wrongly Accused as the murderer by others rather then Chucky, from her closest confident and brother-in-law Ian to be quick in being disillusioned with her after their established bonding before the events of Curse upon finding Barb and Jill dead, Alice missing and catching Nica redhanded with an ax in the garage to being judged with total contempt by her arresting officer and hypocritically Dirty Cop Stanton who gives her "The Reason You Suck" Speech in a deleted scene to being forced to accept responsibility by granted by Dr. Foley to being welcomed Hate at First Sight by Claire to finally having fingers easily pointed at her as a killer by those closest to the victims such as Claire out of her established and preordained Hate at First Sight for the death of her friend Angela and Foley for hitting him with a bottle in the back of head despite having her at his mercy right before his eyes without ever lifting a finger to due such a thing under his watch during their hypnosis session.
• Decoy Protagonist: In Cult, Character Focus initially follows Nica in the first and second acts. However, after getting her body possessed by Chucky, the film follows Andy instead.
• Determinator: Nothing stops Nica. Even when she has her body stolen, all her limbs cut off, and kept prisoner by a murderous serial killer, she is a person who fights for herself through and through.
• Don't You Dare Pity Me!: Doesn't appreciate Barb's constant worrying about her.
• Driven to Suicide: Subverted in Cult. The guilt from learning about Alice's death was too much for her to take, so she attempted suicide by slitting her wrist with one of the spokes of her wheelchair. Unfortunately for her, Chucky wasn't going to let her take the easy way out...
• Enemy Mine: In season 2 of the TV series Nica sees herself forced to team up with Chucky in order to escape from Tiffany and make her pay for everything she has done, and in the season finale she and Chucky seem to pull off a successful The Dog Bites Back on Tiff.
• Feel No Pain: Justified yet downplayed. Due to being a paraplegic, Nica doesn't feel pain in her legs, but she feels pain everywhere else. During Chucky, Tiffany uses this to see through her attempt to pretend to be Chucky in her body, via stabbing a knife into her leg.
• Fighting from the Inside: In Season 1 of Chucky, it's revealed that there are moments in which Nica regains control of her body, until Chucky reasserts himself over her. In the season finale, Tiffany cuts off Nica's arms and legs to prevent Chucky from hurting her.
• Final Girl: Of Curse.
• Friendly Enemy: She seems to become this to Tiffany after her escape, as even though she tells her she intends to kill her, she still gives her a head start on her perpetual fleeing.
• Gaining the Will to Kill: Toward the end of the second season of Chucky, after months of being her captive, Nica tries to kill Tiffany but instead shoots Glen when the latter takes the bullet for their mother. When calling Tiffany months later, she states her intention to end her life.
• Grand Theft Me: She becomes the new host for Chucky at the end of Cult.
• Handicapped Badass: Even though she's stuck in a wheelchair with an unspecified heart condition, she still survives a head-on fight with Chucky.
• Hero with Bad Publicity: For being another unlucky Loser Protagonist who is Wrongly Accused for Chucky's killings.
• Iconic Sequel Character: First appears in Curse of Chucky.
• Loser Protagonist: Even more so than Andy. Being in a wheelchair and mistreated by her Big Sister Bully is bad enough, but to end up as a Hero with Bad Publicity following being Wrongly Accused and later Convicted by Public Opinion for Chucky's killings and later becoming Chucky's first human vessel and not a Killer Doll this time is much worse. In the TV show, she's now possessed by Chucky and even in her rare moments of regaining back her body, Tiffany is around to insure she stays a prisoner.
• Ms. Fanservice: Chucky upon possessing her in the TV series constantly forces her to be scantily clad.
• Odd Friendship: Nica’s friendship with Glen and Glenda can be seen as this, considering they are the children of Chucky and Tiffany.
• Only Sane Woman: She's quite rational in contrast to her Big, Screwed-Up Family members. Even after being locked up in an asylum for four years and gaslit into thinking she's a murderer, the moment she realizes Chucky's coming for her she quickly snaps out of it and takes the initiative to protect herself plus others from the Killer Doll. By the TV series, however, months of being under Chucky's possession, occasional moments of lucidity but unable to do anything about her plight, and Tiffany keeping her prisoner as a twisted display of love, have significantly eroded her sanity. Like Andy, Nica starts being Only Sane by Comparison.
• Remember the New Guy?: It turns out her family, specifically her mother Sarah was the true cause behind the events that led to the opening of the original 1988 film (which was strangely never brought up in the first film itself, not even by Det. Mike Norris to Karen when he explained the events of the manhunt and Ray's death).
• Sanity Slippage: Immense trauma caused by Chucky, like with Andy, has done major damage to Nica's mental health, though she remains mostly intact after the deaths of her entire family, enough to try and make an attempt to stop him. However, it's Tiffany's efforts to keep Nica around out of twisted affection for her that begins to truly break her – to the point that she's willing to ally with Chucky just to get revenge on Tiff. When she's freed from Chucky's possession, she prioritizes revenge on Tiff over revenge on him.
• Sex Slave: In the TV series, if being possessed by Chucky and forced to sexually service Tiffany in only her underwear all to please Chucky counts. And when Nica's true soul revisits her body, Tiffany (while knowing it's Nica) tells her that they will be a couple forever with Tiff adding on that she prefers the scared and confused Nica to Chucky's verbally abrasive ways.
• She Who Fights Monsters: Much like Andy, by the end of the second season of the series, she takes sadistic pleasure from the prospect of exacting revenge and torment upon Tiffany (and, quite likely, Chucky as well) for everything that she was subjected to by them, reveling in Tiffany's visible fear with a Psychotic Smirk as she stalks her (even though she simultaneously remains on good terms with Glen and Glenda, or G.G., as they come to be known, and is reluctant to involve them in her vendetta against their parents).
• Sole Survivor: Nica and Alice are the only members of the Pierce family not murdered by Chucky, although Nica becomes the only living member after Alice's death.
• Tragic Heroine: A wheelchair-bound Hero with Bad Publicity whose reputation was destroyed by Chucky framing her for his crimes and later an implied rape victim set in a World of Jerkass.
• Trauma Conga Line: Hoo boy, has Nica been put through the wringer. First, Nica’s whole family is killed by Chucky. Then, she gets framed for the murders he caused and is sent to a mental hospital, where she is abused by her Pyscho Psychologist Dr. Foley and manipulated into thinking Chucky is just a manifestation of her psychosis. Then, when she is transported to a new facility, Chucky transfers his soul into her body and is subject to infatuation of her Abhorrent Admirer Tiffany, who cuts off all her limbs and keeps her prisoner for a year. And when she does escape with the help of Glen and Glenda, she accidentally shoots Glen, leaving her horrified.
• Worthy Opponent: In Cult, she becomes this to Chucky, to the point when its revealed her psychiatrist Dr. Foley has been sexually harassing her, Chucky respects her well enough that, after transferring his soul into her, he tells Foley just before killing him: "This is for Nica."
• You Have Outlived Your Usefulness: In the TV series, Chucky unsuccessfully tries getting both Tiffany and Junior to kill Nica now that he has 72 dolls.

A Voodoo spirit who grants any wish Chucky commands of him through chanting.

• Adaptational Villainy: In the real-life Voodoo religion, he's a benevolent creator spirit. Here, he's basically the God of Evil.
• Benevolent Genie: In the sense that he's benevolent to psychopath serial killers, granting them any wish they desire so long as they do the chant.
• The Ghost: He doesn't appear in the movies, but does play a crucial role since it is because of his powers that Chucky is able to cheat death multiple times.
• Greater-Scope Villain: Damballa's name is said in each and every movie of the series, and Chucky (or Tiffany and Glen) recite a chant to Damballa to grant a wish of theirs.
• Holy Burns Evil: Christian magic, specifically Catholicism, has a negative effect on Damballa's influence. When Father Bryce performs an exorcism on Chucky, its impact leads the voodoo god to abandon him and purges his body of all power. This leads to Chucky slowly dying permanently of accelerated aging.
• Imperial Stormtrooper Marksmanship Academy: The only reason Chucky fails to possess Tyler in the third movie is because Damballa's lighting misses them when he completes the chant, buying Andy time to save Tyler.
• New Powers as the Plot Demands: In the first three movies, Chucky could only use Damballa's powers to transfer his soul out of the doll into the first human being he revealed himself to (Andy in the first two, Tyler in the third). In the next two movies, this rule no longer applies and you can now transfer your soul into any human being as long as you possess a necklace named the Heart of Damballa. In the sixth and seventh movies, he doesn't need the necklace to do this anymore, ultimately leading to Chucky finally winning.
