A Roman general. He got appointed as the governor of Britain in lieu of Marcus Sulpicius after being overheard insulting the Emperor's beloved Portia.

  • Deadpan Snarker: Aulus often drops a few every episode.
  • My Hovercraft Is Full of Eels : In the first episode, as Aulus and [[Slimeball Grasientus]] are travelling to Chelmsford, the see a milestone with the words 'Piss Off, Romans' written on it. The Romans, having only recently learned the language, misinterpret it to be a sort of greeting. You can imagine what happens when Aulus tries to greet the Britons in their own tongue.
  • Obfuscating Insanity: He does this in series 2 in order to avoid his wife, who has just arrived in Rome.
