Main Characters

Leonard Derrin

A rookie hunter in Creston's hunter Unit IV who gets cursed by a lycan and forced to do her bidding.

Animal Motif: Leonard's motif is that of a cat, which is meant to contrast the canine lycans he's always around.
Character Development: Goes from seeing Lycans as little more than evil monsters like other humans to seeing them as worthy of life too.
Half-Human Hybrid: Leonard is implied to have not been entirely human even before getting cursed by Daine, with his mother being the non-human partner, and the Earth Witch telling him outright that he has a white soul rather than a colorless soul like most humans. His concerns are often dismissed out of the belief that if he didn't have a colorless soul he couldn't have gotten cursed in the first place.
Involuntary Shapeshifting: Can transform into a wolf as part of his curse, but it's at the order of his beta lycan (read:Daine), and he has no recollection of what happens during it.
Kindhearted Cat Lover: Dotes on his cat Sam prior to her getting lost.

A young lycan who curses Leonard as part of her attempt to become an alpha lycan.

All of the Other Reindeer: Was ostracized by the other lycans in her pack for being a one-eyed lycan who can't transform completely.
Duality Motif: Since Daine can't transform both of her eyes, while in human form her bangs cover her left (lycan) eye, and in lycan form her right (human) eye.
Jerk with a Heart of Gold: She's a little rough around the edges due to her backstory of alienation, but is shown to have a good heart underneath it.
Pint-Sized Powerhouse: Daine isn't very tall and has a thin build, but she's much stronger and far more durable than her frame would suggest.

Daine's friend, Kane's twin sister, and heir to the lycan queen of the Crescent Moon Pack.

Be Careful What You Wish For: Elaine wanted to be the heir to the lycan queen and won the contest to be one, only to have to marry someone she doesn't like, be a pariah amongst her fellow lycans for being perceived as a cheater, and ironically created a greater wedge between herself and her mother when her motivation was to make her proud since Blair lost her generation's Queen tournament to Quinn.
Becoming the Mask: Daine says that originally Elaine only became friends with her because her mother put her up to it, and Elaine felt there was a benefit in getting Daine to like her, but eventually the friendship became genuine.
Bully Turned Buddy: She and Kane used to bully Daine like the other lycans before she was virtually adopted by Blair.
Calling Parents by Their Name: As part of her dysfunctional relationship with her mother Blair, she calls her by her name.
Manipulative Bitch: Elaine has known manipulative tendencies, which Daine is very much aware of despite being friends with her.
Psycho Sidekick: Elaine is truly friends with Daine, but she has no issue doing messed up things if she thinks it'll help her.
"Well Done, Son" Guy: Reveals to Leonard that her main motivation is making her mom proud by being lycan queen since she lost to Daine's mother during that generation's Queen tournament.

Bully Turned Buddy: He and Elaine used to bully Daine like the other lycans before she was virtually adopted by Blair.
Courier: He delivers mail in Creston.
Nice Guy: Unlike Elaine, Kane is always pretty nice without any ulterior motives.

Berserk Button: She gets pissed anytime Quinn gets mentioned due to a combination of losing to her in the Queen's tournament and her treatment of Daine, to the point of getting violently angry whenever the button is pushed.
Parental Substitute: She's more or less Daine's actual mother since Quinn shuns her.
Parents as People: While overall nice, her unresolved issues with Daine's mother Quinn causes trouble in her relationship with her daughter Elaine.
Strong Family Resemblance: She looks like a slightly more feminine Kane.
Tattoo as Character Type: Fittingly for a Mama Bear, she has tattoos of Kane and Elaine's wolf forms and names on her right and left shoulders respectively.

The current lycan queen of the Crescent Moon Pack, and Daine's mother.

Famed In-Story: Known as a saint amongst Daine's lycan pack for preventing Nebeous from killing Orion for committing a sin against the lycan god.
Hand Signals: She's unable to talk, so she communicates via sign language and facial expressions.
Parental Neglect: Basically shunned Daine for being a one-eyed lycan, though it's implied that her estrangement isn't by choice and more by societal convention forcing her to do so, as she directs Leonard to Daine while at Orion's grave with tears in her eyes once she sees his back.
Strong Family Resemblance: Looks a lot like an older, redheaded version of her daughter. It's even clearer in artwork depicting her when she was younger in which she does look exactly like a redheaded Daine.
