* MoodSwinger: Why she's so widely disliked. She was deceptively billed in the promos and pre-show interview as a cute and innocent girl, but that's just one facet of a roulette wheel of instability. No one can tell if Raven is being of sound mind or is an unstable fruitcake waiting to explode, and they think she's got problems. [[AxCrazy BIG]] problems. It's apparent that she's suffering from a mental disorder such as Borderline Personality Disorder or even BipolarDisorder.

* KickTheSonOfABitch: In Week 5, Raven got into a huge fight and screaming match with Jessica (and Cody) in front of the entire house. Once Jessica had exposed Raven for being the one who had stolen Alex's cat ears and poured out her Coke, Raven exploded and went off on Jessica, who had already earned the ire of the rest of the house. Even after Jessica went outside with Cody in order to get away from the drama and bullying, Raven followed Jessica outside and continued to berate her.

* DoesNotLikeShoes: Heck, she's introduced to us like this. Raven teaches classes barefoot in her dance studio, and seems to avoid shoes unless she wants to look pretty or is competing. She is seen tearing her socks off in the middle of the first competition of the season for safety, and actually injures herself pretty badly going down the trademark spiral staircase of the house in only socks and throws a pair away in anger when they get covered in the resulting blood spilt. She is so fond of walking around without shoes that the cameramen actually zoom in on a pair of grubby sock soles. Raven herself discovers this issue stems from the kitchen floor, which is incredibly filthy, but learns to live with it. Funnily enough, this is something neither Paul or Josh picked up on in the final stage of the final HOH competition that Raven despised the kitchen's dinginess, because it is of course something only live feeders would be privy to and neither of these guys wanted to hang around her in extended doses.

* TheDarkChick: Raven shares this role with Alex. She also doubles this role with being TheDragon for Paul.

* ThirteenIsUnlucky: When he dropped Christmas on her foot, causing it to break, it just so happened to be Day 13. At first, it didn't seem that Jason suffered and consequences or repercussions for what he did to Christmas (by accident). But come Week 10, Christmas seals Jason's fate when she's the tie-breaker vote that sends him out the door.

* ActionSurvivor: He's not a major competitor and he hasn't won any of the competitions so far (technically speaking - he has won POV once by stealing it, but he didn't win the competitive part of the challenge, and only squeaked away with the POV because [[PetTheDog nobody else wanted it]]), but what he lacks in competitive prowess, he makes up for in regards to social game and sometimes strategy. Ironically, when he doesn't try to win, he's victorious. He successfully threw the final Temptation Challenge and won POV in the following competition not by placing first, but simply by stealing it from Jason, who had stolen it from Paul, and Elena, the actual winner, not choosing to take it and instead went for the money prize.

** Matt has never cared for Kevin on a personal level and the two were never closely aligned in the game. Matt has stated that he doesn't like or trust Kevin because, like a lot of other people in the house, he finds him to be fake, shady and dishonest. Matt also dislikes Kevin after he found out that Kevin constantly talks crap about him and Raven behind his back. Matt, of course, has taken this personally and in turn has targeted Kevin. In Week 9, Matt and Kevin get into a bit of a blowup when tensions rise between the two. Kevin picks a fight with Matt in the backyard by trying to say that Matt is talking crap about him and making up lies about him. Matt gets angry and confronts Kevin by suggesting that Kevin is trying to threaten him. In Kevin's goodbye message to Matt, Kevin shows that he has no love lost for Matt when he simply says "Matt, take care. Goodbye." Although the animosity between the two isn't as bad as it is between some of the other houseguests, they're not on friendly terms.

* BigEater: Matt ADORES cereal. Paul estimates he's eaten at least 600 cereal bowls by Day 55 of the game in Week 8, and Matt intends to make it an even thousand and uses this goal as a benchmark, and a funny excuse to keep him into the game. Funnier yet is when he sees himself up on the block twice in the same night and tells everybody he obviously hasn't had time to eat 400 more bowls of cereal.

* ChickMagnet: At the very beginning of the game, many of the female houseguests (such as Dominique, Raven, and Elena) had found Matt to be very physically attractive and appealing. It's not a shock considering that he's a {{Hunk}} who loves to go {{shirtless|Scene}} from time to time.

* KnightInShiningArmour: He tries to play this role for Raven, who could be considered his DamselInDistress. Matt has repeatedly stated that he doesn't care about winning the game but that his intentions are to get Raven as far as he can in the game so that she can get to the end and potentially win. Matt has been willing to fall on his sword for her and protect her with everything, not just because she is his romantic partner, but because she suffers from gastroparesis and needs the money the most because of it.

* OnlySaneMan: Out of a jury house filled with very angry, bitter jurors that are mad at Paul for playing the game, Matt is the least bitter and understands that Paul played the best game out of everyone in the house. At the Jury Roundtable segment, Matt calls out numerous other houseguest for their unnecessary anger and bitterness regarding Paul lying and backstabbing to get where he is. He even calls out Mark for being a bitter hypocrite. Matt and Raven coming off as the least bitter and the most sane and logical out of the rest of the jury members is the probably one of the most shocking plot twists of the season.

* BareYourMidriff: Raven wears tops or shirts that reveal her midriff. She most likely feels comfortable wearing revealing clothing since she's a dance teacher. In addition, she also probably wears a lot of revealing clothing because she wears a lot of dance costumes that show off many parts of the body.

* RealityShowGenreBlindness: Like most people in the season, Jason is ''incredibly'' stupid when it comes to the game:
** [[CassandraTruth Mark]] decides to tell Jason that Paul has been running the entire game. Jason doesn't believe him, and throws him under the bus all because it's Mark.
** Followed [[DevilInPlainSight Paul]] blindly.
** Volunteered to go on the block.
** Repeatedly threw competitions.
** Culminating in his dumbest move of all, and what is probably the dumbest move since Marcellas squandered his Golden Power of Veto all the way back in ''Big Brother 3'': completely forgetting that he promised to take Raven off the block when Maven shared the block together. This move was so bad, it made [[LivingProp Matt]] lose his cool. Yes, what Jason did was stupid enough that the one guy who was least visible in the house was unmissable for an entire day.

* AlphaBitch: Raven originally started off as a nice girl who was friendly, but as time went on, she revealed that she is one of the meanest and cattiest girls in the house. Raven is a mixture or combo of Type 1 and Type 2 of the Alpha Bitch personalities. She fits Type 1, because she appeared to be a sweet SouthernBelle who was a NiceGirl and was an AllLovingHero who gets along with everyone and cares about everyone genuinely. However, she's actually a typical mean girl who endlessly trash talks and treats other people terribly. She's also terribly manipulative and cunning and will use her feminine and girly charms to get her way. She also resorts to playing the victim card when it most suits her or if she feels that it will benefit her in some way. She is nearly [[HatedByAll universally hated]] in the house (the only person who can remotely stand her is Matt and that's because he happens to be her romantic partner!). Guys tend to overlook Raven's awful personality and are attracted to her simply because she is physically attractive and looks cute. She's also incredibly unintelligent and seems to be a {{Cloudcuckoolander}} and TheDitz who has her head in the clouds. Raven is also the Type 2 personality because Raven is able to successfully put on a friendly facade, that of a NiceGirl and a sweet SouthernBelle. But underneath is a whole lot of bitchiness and a completely nasty person. Although she may appear dumb at times, she could be ObfuscatingStupidity. She's a ManipulativeBitch that loves to manipulate in order to get her way. Despite her horrible person, Raven seems to be completely oblivious to the fact that's horrible and instead, thinks that she is a nice and good person who everyone loves and wants to be friends with. Although Jessica is also an AlphaBitch as well, Raven may actually take the title of being the season's De Facto AlphaBitch. Raven has done a lot of shitty stuff to people. She especially exposed what a bitch she is at the very beginning when she made the petty decision to steal Alex's cat ears and hide them and then dump out all of her Coke simply because she didn't like her. She's also a bully. In Week 5, she got into a major fight with Jessica in front of the house in which Jessica called out Raven for being a liar about being the one who stole Alex's cat ears and poured out all of her Coke. When Jessica exposed Raven, Raven took it upon herself to bully Jessica and humiliate her in front of everyone just because she wanted to be petty and mean and take her anger out on her. She also called her many derogatory names such as bitch and cu-t. The fact that she constantly talks trash about the other houseguests unnecessarily does nothing to help curb her bitchy side. In addition to the constant trash talk, she constantly lies about her personal life as a way to seek attention. The way that she treats Matt is horrible. She treats him like a dog that she likes to control and abuse and Matt comes off as an ExtremeDoormat.

* ArchEnemy: Raven and Jessica used to be close allies in the earlier part of the game but they became enemies when Cody decided to turn on the entire alliance and put up Paul and Christmas. Their rivalry came to a head in Week 5 when Jessica had gotten into a fight with the entire house and she had exposed Raven for being the one to steal Alex's cat ears and pour out all of her Coke. Raven was also angry at Jessica for supposedly throwing her under the bus and backstabbing her when Raven had said that she had Jessica's back for the entire game. The fight between Raven and Jessica got so intense that Raven bullied Jessica by interrogating her, yelling at her and calling her many derogatory names such as bitch and the C word. Ever since that fight, Raven has made it one of her missions to make Jessica miserable in the house simply to get revenge against her. Raven was also one of the people in the house, out of the majority, that were elated when Jessica was evicted.

* BetaBitch: To Jessica's AlphaBitch in the earlier weeks of the game. Raven and Jessica are arguably the most catty, bitchy girls in the game. The only difference is that Raven did a much better job [[BitchInSheepsClothing of hiding her bitchy, mean girl side]] while Jessica made it obvious that she was a [[BitchAlert mean girl from the start]]. Both Raven and Alex would resort to unnecessarily trash talking Alex behind her back. Raven even followed Jessica's example by repeatedly referring to Alex as "Pao Pao".

* BlackSheep: Once Josh matures and starts to develop better social skills and makes new allies, Raven starts to become the ostracized and left out one in the house. Everybody in the house shuns her and nobody wants to hang out with her. They believe that she is the strange one of the house and that because of her eccentricities, she just doesn't belong or fit in. Because of her personality and her personal struggles, she's the houseguest that sticks out like a sore thumb. Because of the fact that Raven is different from everyone else (especially being the only one who is suffering from a debilitating illness), Raven is often left out and many people constantly talk badly about her behind her back. Paul has commented that he can't stand Raven on personal level and that he sees her as unstable and crazy. He doesn't like that she is always following him around the house and trying to copy everything that he does and says. Christmas views Raven as completely immature and annoying because of how much she constantly plays the victim card so that she can get attention and sympathy. Christmas has also expressed that she can't stand Raven because she is always trying to exaggerate everything about her life so that she can one up people and that makes Christmas incredibly irritated. Alex and Jason thought that Raven was completely mentally unstable and that her stories simply didn't add up because all she did was embellish the truth about her personal life. Alex and Jason, along with Paul, would often be the ones to constantly trash talk her and be the ones to make fun of her behind her back. Kevin just plain didn't like Raven from the beginning and he found her to be a waste of space. Josh feels some sympathy for Raven due to her being sick and being an emotionally sensitive and vulnerable girl but he still didn't care for her all that much of because of her unlikeable personality and her constant need for attention. Cody and Jessica couldn't stand Raven because all she did was make up lies about the both of them. Raven lied about Cody saying that he came onto her at the beginning of the game and that he told her that they couldn't be a couple because she was infertile. Cody found out the truth from Alex and he was not amused at all. And Jessica and Raven used to be friends, that is until she decided to throw Jessica under the bus by saying that it was Jessica that was the one who stole Alex's cat ears and poured out her Coke when it was Raven that was the one who did it. The only person that Raven is not a black sheep with in the house is Matt. Nobody has any respect for Raven in the house and everyone likes to make fun of her. She's basically the laughing stock of the entire house.

* EntitledBitch: Raven felt that she had more entitlement to be in the game than other people simply because she was suffering from a serious illness and she needed the money more than anyone else. Because Raven pulled the sympathy card using her illness, other houseguests started to feel guilty for even thinking or attempting in trying to get her out of the house. Since Raven has received a lot of sympathy for having an illness, Raven only grew more and more bratty and entitled with time.

* KickTheSonOfABitch: In Week 5, Raven got into a huge fight and screaming match with Jessica (and Cody) in front of the entire house. Once Jessica had exposed Raven for being the one who had actually stole Alex's cat ears and hid them as well as poured out her Coke, Raven exploded and went off on Jessica, who was already being interrogated, attacked and bullied by the rest of the house. Even after Jessica went outside with Cody in order to get away from the drama and bullying, Raven still followed Jessica outside and continued to yell at her, berate her and bully her, even cursing at her non stop and calling her endless derogatory names (such as bitch and the [[CountryMatters C word]]).

* ManipulativeBitch: Rather shockingly, Raven's one of the most low-key and dangerous manipulators in the game next to Paul. She's had a hand in several evictions because she said or did things to poison the well- Megan's (Raven called Alex "Pao Pao" along with Jessica and may have helped spur on the "Panda" slur given Raven's consummate liar status), Jessica's (framing her for stealing Alex's cat ears and pouring out her coke), Cody's (through bashing Jessica and not liking Cody along with the rest of the house), and even ''Matt's'' (turning Matt into her own personal gofer) downfall in the game all because she either disliked these people and/or was acting batshit crazy and having a lying fit/angsty crusade.

* RealityShowGenreBlindness: Raven is, much like everyone else in this game, too dumb to advance. To wit:
** She willingly goes up on the block. Never once considers the possibility of being evicted.
** Followed [[DevilInPlainSight Paul's word to the tee]], never questioning them.
** Believed she was in control of the season, even when she was sitting in the jury house.
* RecklessSidekick: To Paul of course. While Paul is much more logical and practical in his thinking and he's the brains behind the operation, Raven is more impulsive and reckless. Sometimes she really doesn't think when she acts and it can get her into a lot of trouble. She'll start unnecessary fights with other people which could paint a target on her back. She'll do and say something stupid which could jeopardize her chances of staying in the game. Raven is reckless when it comes to what she says. She makes all of these unrealistic claims and makes up all of these unrealistic stories about her life that make it hard to believe are actually real and she doesn't seem to think before she speaks. Her constant embellishments just roll off her tongue like it's no challenge. Her constant, impulsive lying has also contributed to her reckless behavior and it has gotten her in trouble game wise. But she's so desperate for attention and sympathy, that she's willing to be reckless and impulsive to get it.

* {{Yandere}}: Towards Paul, especially now that Matt is gone. Raven has become extremely clingy, dependent towards Paul and has become obsessed with him. [[StalkerWithACrush She follows him around the house everywhere he goes.]] She also copies him or mimics him when she is around him. Her obsession with Paul has caused him to frequently complain to other houseguests that Raven makes him very uncomfortable and he's even admitted that he doesn't feel "safe" in her presence because of her creepy behavior towards him. Raven has even veered into MurderTheHypotenuse territory with her wanting to eliminate every single person that is friends or aligned with Paul, starting with Jason and Alex. It seems that Raven wants everyone out of the way so that she will be Paul's only ally in the house.

* EntitledBastard: Whenever things don't Matt's way, he acts entitled and doesn't handle it well. In Week 9, when Jason decided to not use the POV on either Matt or Raven and went back on putting up Kevin is one of their places on the block, Matt exploded at Jason and repeatedly referred to him as a coward and a liar. After not getting his way in the game, he decided to break the Have Not rules while he was the Have Not that week. He lashed out by eating normal food, taking hot showers instead of cold showers, and sleeping in a regular bed. Matt may be a decent enough guy most of the time, but he can be a ManChild or SpoiledBrat when he doesn't get his way.

* ManChild: Downplayed. For the most part, Matt acts like a regular adult. But when he [[SoreLoser doesn't get his way]], he [[SpoiledBrat throws a tantrum]]. In Week 9 after Jason refused to use the POV to remove Matt or Raven from the block and instead replace one of them with Kevin, Matt decided to lash out in anger by breaking the Have Not rules as a Have Not such as eating regular food when he's supposed to be on slop, taking hot showers instead of cold showers, and sleeping in a regular bed instead of a Have Not room bed. Many of the other houseguests have found Matt's interactions with Raven to be childish, silly and annoying.

* BrattyTeenageDaughter: Downplayed. Raven isn't a teenager as she's 23 years old but she displays teenage like behavior and she comes off as a SpoiledBrat who throws a tantrum when she doesn't get her way. Much of her bratty behavior is because Raven just has so much growing up to do. When Raven doesn't get what she wants she becomes extremely whiny.

* ItsAllAboutMe: Comes with being a DramaQueen and an AttentionWhore. Raven comes across as a SpoiledBrat who is highly selfish, self involved and self absorbed. It seems that she always likes to be the centre of attention and she'll do anything to gain it. She even resorts to exaggerating things and blowing things out of proportion in order to either garner sympathy or attention from others.

* TheHyena: Jason is constantly laughing none stop. It's one of his defining personal traits to treat everything like it's a joke. Even when he's fighting with someone else, he manages to throw in a laugh or joke or two. When is Jason not laughing at or about something?
* {{Hypocrite}}: Has little to no issue with lying to Matt and Raven about promoting to use the POV on one of them so that Kevin would be backdoored since he didn't want to go back on his word to Kevin and did so to benefit his game. But as soon as someone else (Paul) decides to make a game move against him that wasn't personal in nature (considering that Jason was one of Paul's closest allies and friends in the house), Jason acts like a SoreLoser who is bitter. Sure, it sucks to get backstabbed or betrayed by one of your closest friends and allies in the game, but did Jason forget that he's playing a little game called ''Big Brother''? A game that involves lying, backstabbing, manipulating and betrayal? Jason should have seen it coming.

* AntiVillain: Type II (WoobieDestroyerOfWorlds). Raven may be a villain but she's still somewhat sympathetic because of her real life struggles and her illness. Raven has resorted to acting [[AlphaBitch very mean and petty]] in the game. It could be assumed that Raven is troubled because of the issues that she faces in the real world. And she wants to win the game more than anything so that she can bring awareness to her illness and use the money to help her cause. So although Raven's a villain, she's also a sympathetic villain that we can feel empathy and compassion for.

* BumblingSidekick: To Paul. Raven is probably the least competent of all of Paul's followers and minions. All she does is make up stories, embellish things and lie constantly, can't win a competition to save her life, and has no clue about strategy or what's going on in the game. Is it any wonder why Paul wanted Raven out? She was useless, incompetent, gullible, naive, foolish and every other negative term you can use.

* DeepSouth: Raven is originally from Arkansas. Due to this, it was assumed that she was a sweet SouthernBelle but turns out that she's anything but when her true colors are revealed in the later weeks.

* DudeWheresMyRespect: In her Exit Interview, Raven stupidly says that she played a good game because she was very sociable and friendly with the other houseguests. Raven tries to imply that she deserves respect and credit for playing a good game and getting as far as she did. Does she not realize that she did nothing all summer but cuddling in bed with Matt and making up constant stories and embellishments about her personal life? Raven was looking for people to respect her as a game player, but she's done nothing to deserve it.

* FreudianExcuse: It's assumed that Raven's bad behavior is a result of her DarkAndTroubledPast, dysfunctional family and upbringing, and her illness (Gastroparesis). According to Raven, she's also been through a lot on a personal level so there may be a legitimate reason as to why she is the way that she is or acts the way that she acts. Not only does she have a family history of Gastroparesis (her mother and brother both have the illness), but she also supposedly has a family history of mental illness (her mother is a mentally troubled woman) so it's not strange to feel some sort of sympathy for her due to her hard life and struggles. It still doesn't always excuse Raven's behavior, attitude or actions in most situations though.

* TheLoad: All in all, Raven is completely useless in the game. She doesn't have any strong aspects to her gameplay. Socially, she only interacts with Matt and Paul and everyone in the house has grown to dislike her or they find her to be annoying. Competitively, she's the worst competitor in the entire house and she has never won any competition such as an HOH or a POV to ensure her own safety or in order to make moves. And strategically, she is just completely lacking all together. The only role that Raven serves in the game is being TheDragon (or minion and puppet) to BigBad Paul whom she sees as her master. Everything that Raven has done in the game (not that she's done anything!) has been dictated by someone else, mainly Paul and Matt. Raven is such a non-entity in this game on a social, competitive, and strategic level. The only thing that she contributes to the game is embellishes stories and exaggerating things for attention and sympathy. Considering how useless Raven is, why is she even a houseguest to begin with?

* ItAmusedMe: Raven hid Alex's cat ears from her and poured out all of Alex's Coke for Raven's own enjoyment and amusement. Plus Raven hated Alex and just wanted to be a petty bitch.

* JokeCharacter: Raven is the biggest joke of a houseguest this season. Nothing that she's done has had any significance or value. Nobody ever takes anything that she says or does seriously, because she's delusional, weak and incompetent at everything that she does.

* LongHairIsFeminine: Raven is the most girly female houseguest in the house next to Jessica and she also has the longest hair in the house (it's unsure whether her hair is real or if they are hair extensions).

* AxeCrazy: Downplayed. She classifies as CuteAndPsycho. Raven, for the most part, is harmless, but when she is provoked into anger, she's downright scary, volatile and comes across as unstable. The fact that she's also a {{Cloudcuckoolander}} and she hides her nasty and volatile side makes her even scarier. After getting into a fight with Jessica in Week 5, everyone in the house had commented how they were shocked at Raven coming across as emotionally unstable. Paul even stated while he was alone that Raven was crazy. Also, in Week 9, Raven went batshit crazy on Jason when he decided not to use the POV on either Matt or Raven when he had made a deal and told them that he would. Raven became extremely volatile and was just screaming at him non stop. The fact that something like a game move could make Raven erupt into a volcano of anger and hostility shows how mentally unstable she really is.

* BrilliantButLazy: Subverted. AT the beginning of the game, it seemed as though Jason was nothing more than a LethalJokeCharacter that didn't add anything of value or contribute anything in the game. However, Jason eventually becomes one of the strongest male competitors and the biggest threats in the game on a social and competitive level. Even other houseguests, including his allies, start to realize that Jason is such a huge threat because he started out as nobody that was a threat but then turned around and started to become a competitor.

* LovedByAll: Subverted; Jason, just like Kevin, is a dad with a good life. That translates very well to the house, because everyone enjoys his good spirited ways, he hasn't gone after anybody unless they really warranted it with ugly behavior, and has objected to extremely dirty moves to advance one's game. This is subsequently tarnished when he makes a huge error when he holds all the cards in Week 10.

* NiceGuy: A very down-home and friendly man. When he went up for eviction as a consequence of blowing his first Temptation Challenge, Paul took him off the block simply because Jason's not a habitual jerk like Jess and Cody. Somewhat subverted when he made some fairly insensitive jokes about Raven and Jess.

* AllGirlsWantBadBoys: Subverted. Raven seemed to have originally had a thing for Cody at the start of the game, but she eventually realizes that she doesn't like his personality. Instead of going for Cody, she romances [[SingleWomanSeeksGoodMan Matt]] instead while Cody romances [[AlphaBitch Jessica]].
* AllLovingHeroine: Subverted. It originally seemed as though Raven was an extremely NiceGirl who would be nice to everyone but it turns out she's a BitchInSheepsClothing who constantly talks badly about the other houseguests behind their back. The other houseguests, such as Cody and Jessica, have noted that Raven is not the super nice and friendly girl that she tries to make herself seem and that she's nowhere near being America's Sweetheart.

* AlwaysSaveTheGirl: Subverted. In the beginning, almost everyone was against ever putting Raven up on the block or even thinking of evicting her. A lot of the other houseguests had this mentality because they felt sympathy for Raven's illness and condition. And they also admitted that they would feel terrible and guilty for getting rid of the sick girl. However, in the later weeks, once the house sympathy for Raven starts to die down and her true colors are revealed (which aren't pleasant or pretty by the way), the other houseguests have no problem with not sacrificing their games, saving her, or not putting her on the block/voting to evict her. Past mid way in the game, the only person who cares about saving Raven and keeping her in the house for as long as possible is Matt and that's understandable because he is in a romantic relationship with her.

* AmbiguouslyEvil: Subverted. Yes, Raven was aligned with Paul and was one of his loyal minions which automatically made her morally ambiguous. However, she was seen as harmless for the most part because of the fact that she had no clue what was going on in the game and she didn't;t seem to do anything bad or vile enough to put her on the side of evil. But with time, Raven exposed her true personality and it wasn't pleasant at all. In fact, Raven revealed that she was one of the worst houseguests in terms of personality and she was extremely unlikeable. She showed that she is an incredibly spiteful, nasty and hateful person and that she's not worthy of any sympathy.
* AmbitionIsEvil: Double Subverted. Raven for the most part seems like she wants to win and get to the end because she wants to bring awareness to a good cause (Gastroparesis) and win the money to help her out in terms of her struggles with her illness. However, the way that she's trying to stay in the game is kind of underhanded and manipulative. She resorts to PlayingTheVictimCard and coming across as AffablyEvil so that the other houseguests will feel sorry for her and never want to vote her out. She has a good reason for wanting to win the money, but the way that she goes about it by trying to gain sympathy and pull on people's heart strings so that people feel sympathy for her and feel guilty for even thinking about getting her out is kind of a dirty, manipulative and underhanded tactic.

* TheBadGuyWins: Subverted. Raven was someone that could have easily been dragged all the way to the Final 3 or even worse, the Final 2. The other houseguests were hesitant in keeping her in the game for too long because she was such a good person to take to the end and potentially beat. She could also have possibly won enough jury votes to win because her sympathy card (due to her hard life and her illness) is through the roof and the jury would feel compelled to vote for her because of this fact. However, her life in the game is ultimately cut short on Double Eviction when the house decides to evict her so that she doesn't have the slightest chance of winning.

* CorruptTheCutie: Double Subverted. Paul seems like he would have been the one responsible for Raven becoming a completely awful and vile person. Raven still puts on a nice, sweet and friendly facade, but she's actually always been terrible and unpleasant.

* DefeatMeansFriendship: Subverted. On Double Eviction night, Raven is evicted. But she downright refuses to hug anyone and continues to act like a SoreLoser and SpoiledBrat. Even though everyone was willing to wish her well and felt sorry for her blindside in that moment. After she was evicted, the houseguests went right back to hating her for her behavior and the attitude that she displayed on the way out of the house.

** DevourTheDragon: There have been multiple occasions when Paul has plotted to get rid of Raven because he has a Final 3 deal and alliance with Christmas and Josh. So when the time comes, he would have no issue with throwing Raven to the wolves because he doesn't have the same amount of loyalty to her that he does to Josh and Christmas or even Jason and Alex. However, as of recently, it subverted because he's said in private that he actually wants to take Raven as far as he can and he would like to drag her all the way to Final 4 because he feels that she would be easy to beat at the end.

* FieryRedhead: She's not cruel-hearted (however, in the later weeks, that could be considered as subverted as she morphs into an EvilRedhead), but there's a genuinely [[ClusterFBomb berserk]] side to her that leaves everyone speechless and petrified when it finally comes uncorked forty days into the game. Jessica keeps yelling at her for every perceived scheme against her and her meetings with Kevin, then Raven detonates and Paul fully takes advantage of it when he manages to rouse the place into a madhouse. Meanwhile, Matt can't believe ''Raven'' of all people went ballistic, who is prompted to back away from the chaos slowly and question the whole house's sanity at large, wondering if it was okay to stick with her.

* NiceGirl: Subverted. It was thought that Raven was a nice, friendly girl but she's actually really bitchy, catty, mean and is a major BitchInSheepsClothing.

* AnnoyingLaugh: Many live feed watchers and some of the other houseguests, notably Paul and Kevin, have commented how they can't stand hearing Matt laugh because they find it irritating to listen to. Kevin in particular hates listening to Matt laugh because he thinks that Matt laughs at any joke that is said, even if the joke is not that funny. Josh had even compared Matt's laugh to sounding similar to ''Film/WhiteChicks''.

* TheDragon: To/For Paul, as he basically does everything that Paul wants or asks of him (like the majority of the house). He doesn't even seem to question Paul at all and he has a strong blind obedience and loyalty to him. There has never been a time when Matt has even contemplated turning on Paul and he has even said that he would have no problem losing to him in the end.
** CoDragons: With most of the other houseguests for Paul of course, but most commonly with Raven as she is Matt's number one ally. Both are TheDragon to Paul and have been working with him since the start of the game. Even though Matt is aligned with Paul, Matt doesn't contribute anything of serious value to Paul and his game. But what he does contribute to Paul is his UndyingLoyalty to him by basically doing everything that he wants or asks. Matt also helps get out all of Paul's wanted targets by voting them out or going up as a pawn to ensure an intended target goes home. Also in Week 7, Matt won the POV and instead of using it to take himself off the block, he followed Paul's plan and chose to take Jason off instead so that Alex would replace him with Cody as the backdoor replacement nominee. It's also assumed that if Raven doesn't make Final 2, he would be a guaranteed jury vote for Paul.
** TheCreon: Downplayed. Matt is TheDragon for Paul and he has no desire to be a leader or take over Paul's role as the BigBad. He's happy in his position as a loyal minion or follower of Paul's. He never questions Paul when it comes to game decisions and he's an ExtremeDoormat who's willing to do anything that Paul wants and says. However, despite his undying loyalty to Paul, Matt has never been in a position to be the one to take Paul's role as a leader. He's always been in the default position of follower to Paul. Even if he were given the opportunity to seize power, Matt would reject it with ease because he's openly stated that he's not in the game to win at all costs.
** DevourTheDragon: Paul has been plotting to get rid of Matt as of recently. He feels that Matt has outlived his usefulness and doesn't really have anything in the way of value to contribute to Paul game wise. Paul also wants to break up Matt and Raven because they are the last standing showmance in the game and getting rid of Matt may increase the chances of Raven becoming even more loyal to Paul once Matt is gone.
** NobleTopEnforcer: Matt is far more moral and noble than Paul is. While Matt is a genuinely NiceGuy with a side of BewareTheNiceOnes, GoodIsNotNice and GoodIsNotSoft, he's significantly less manipulative, aggressive and ruthless in terms of gameplay style. Matt is more calm and down to earth while Paul is more cutthroat. Matt has also never gotten personal in the game or resorted to attacking or bullying other houseguests. And he didn't always agree with some of the antics or behavior that Paul would pull at times. However, it's not wise to make an enemy out of him or anger him for [[BewareTheNiceOnes he can be nasty and vicious when provoked!]]
* EntitledBastard: Whenever things don't go the way Matt wants them to, he acts entitled and doesn't handle it well. In Week 9, when Jason decided to not use the POV on either Matt or Raven and went back on putting up Kevin is one of their places on the block, Matt exploded at Jason and repeatedly referred to him as a coward and a liar. After not getting his way in the game, he decided to break the Have Not rules while he's a Have Not for the week. He lashed out by eating normal food, taking hot showers instead of cold showers like he's supposed to as a Have Not and sleeping in a regular bed instead of in the Have Not bed and Have Not room. Matt may be a decent enough guy most of the time, but one cannot deny that he acts like a ManChild or SpoiledBrat when he doesn't get his way.

* GoodIsNotNice: Matt can be unpleasant when he's angered or provoked. In Week 9, Matt completely went off on Jason for not honouring his word in using the POV on either Matt or Raven. He got into a screaming match with him in front of the entire house and repeatedly called Jason a coward and a liar for not upholding his word. On the week he was a Have Not, Matt threw a temper tantrum and broke the Have Not rules by eating regular food, taking a hot shower, and sleeping in a regular bed. That earned him a penalty vote (one automatic eviction vote against him) at the live eviction. It was thought that Matt was a genuinely nice guy (and he still is for the most part) but when he doesn't get his way, he displays a nasty streak.

* LivingProp: Matt is so ineffective and unremarkable as a competitor and bland in general that he might as well have been a table. When the entire fandom starts calling you furniture, you know you done fucked up in the ''Big Brother'' house. Worse, he's okay with that even when going to the jury and Julie herself repeatedly calling him out on it both in the post-eviction interview and the finale itself. The only things he ever did in the game were use one measly Power Of Veto that he got by sheer dumb luck and invite about half of the remaining house to enjoy a dinner from Outback Steakhouse.
* ManChild: Downplayed. For the most part, Matt acts like a regular adult. But when he [[SoreLoser doesn't get his way]], he can resort to [[SpoiledBrat throwing a tantrum]]. In Week 9 after Jason refused to use the POV to remove Matt or Raven from the block and instead replace one of them with Kevin, Matt decided to lash out in anger by breaking the Have Not rules as a Have Not such as eating regular food when he's supposed to be on slop, taking hot showers instead of cold showers, and sleeping in a regular bed instead of a Have Not room bed. Many of the other houseguests have found Matt's interactions with Raven to be childish, silly and annoying.

* OutOfFocus: Matt hasn't made any waves in the house in the first month he's been there, besides hooking up with Raven, who is adored by the house, and being nice himself, it's fine and dandy so long as it doesn't cause problems later. Except for Mark, who dislikes Matt's inactivity and accuses him of being a "floater" (i.e. somebody who sits in the background and gets through the game by not doing anything to get them in trouble and "floats" along with alliances to stay in the game, but earns no respect for being unimpressive and invisible during the game itself). He decides to consider using himself as a pawn just because it will show he's not lurking in the background and willing to do something.

* RealityShowGenreBlindness: He does not even seem to realize the obvious red flag of being nominated even as a pawn until it's too late. Even though Paul and Christmas told him who to evict... he didn't put two and two together.
** Even to the point where he and Raven believed they were in control of the game, despite being in jury.

* TheGenericGuy: Sure, Matt is physically attractive and he looks good with his shirt off, but compared to the other houseguests like Paul, Kevin, even Cody, what does he exactly contribute to the game? Many fans have criticized Matt for being useless and have often referred to Matt as being nothing but furniture.

* {{Hunk}}: Matt is very physically appealing, muscular and built. He's also a MrFanservice considering how often he likes to expose his muscles or go without wearing a shirt. The female Big Brother fans are NOT complaining about this.

* LimitedWardrobe: By Week 9, viewers are lampshading the fact Matt always seems to wear a sleeveless orange sports jersey. He responds by telling them he didn't pack many clothes for the Big Brother house (aside from his blue t-shirt) and doesn't like wearing sleeves in the house. Becomes heartwarming when [[SexyShirtSwitch he lets Raven hold onto it]]... which makes someone on Twitter worried he has nothing to wear to eviction (it's okay-he's got a puce-colored tee, and even if he didn't [[WalkingShirtlessScene he looks fine without one]]).

* ManChild: Downplayed. For the most part, Matt acts like a regular adult. But when he [[SoreLoser doesn't get his way]], he can resort to [[SpoiledBrat throwing a tantrum]]. Many fans complained that they found Matt's behavior childish, immature and deserving of expulsion for insulting the integrity of the game. In addition, his behavior and the way that he acts when he's around Raven can come across as downright silly and immature. Many question how a 33-year-old guy like Matt could act so immaturely over a girl that he has known for only a short period of time. Sometimes he will get into silly and unnecessary play fights with Raven which make him come across as a lovesick teenaged puppy that has never been in love before. Many of the other houseguests (in addition to some fans) have found Matt's interactions with Raven to be childish, silly and annoying.
* MrFanservice: The female viewing audience doesn't complain when Matt doesn't have a shirt on.

* CelebrityResemblance: To Matthew Lillard. This has been pointed out by many fans, and even a few house guests.

* CrossesTheLineTwice: A lot of the things Jason says jokingly are warped. Matt remarked, "There's a line. Jason doesn't step over it — he ''dives.''" But the one that got everyone up in arms [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pb0zY_UWXYI was a horribly fucked up rape joke.]] He wasn't meaning anything behind it, but it was just so blue that it would have made even Creator/RonWhite holler.

* JokeCharacter: The audience often treats Jason as someone who is not meant to be taken seriously. It has much to do with the fact that Jason is a humorous individual who's a BoisterousBruiser.

* AlphaBitch: Raven originally started off as a nice girl who was friendly, but as time went on, she revealed that she is one of the meanest and cattiest girls in the house. Raven is a mixture or combo of Type 1 and Type 2 of the Alpha Bitch personalities. She fits Type 1, because she appeared to be a sweet SouthernBelle who was a NiceGirl and was an AllLovingHero who gets along with everyone and cares about everyone genuinely. However, she's actually a typical mean girl who endlessly trash talks and treats other people terribly. She's also terribly manipulative and cunning and will use her feminine and girly charms to get her way. She also resorts to playing the victim card when it most suits her or if she feels that it will benefit her in some way. She is nearly [[HatedByAll universally hated]] in the house (the only person who can remotely stand her is Matt and that's because he happens to be her romantic partner!). Guys tend to overlook Raven's awful personality and are attracted to her simply because she is physically attractive and looks cute. She's also incredibly unintelligent and seems to be a {{Cloudcuckoolander}} and TheDitz who has her head in the clouds. Raven is also the Type 2 personality because Raven is able to successfully put on a friendly facade, that of a NiceGirl and a sweet SouthernBelle. But underneath is a whole lot of bitchiness and a completely nasty person. Although she may appear dumb at times, she could be ObfuscatingStupidity. She's a ManipulativeBitch that loves to manipulate in order to get her way. Despite her horrible person, Raven seems to be completely oblivious to the fact that's horrible and instead, thinks that she is a nice and good person who everyone loves and wants to be friends with. Although Jessica is also an AlphaBitch as well, Raven may actually take the title of being the season's De Facto AlphaBitch. Raven has done a lot of shitty stuff to people. She especially exposed what a bitch she is at the very beginning when she made the petty decision to steal Alex's cat ears and hide them and then dump out all of her Coke simply because she didn't like her. She's also a bully. In Week 5, she got into a major fight with Jessica in front of the house in which Jessica called out Raven for being a liar about being the one who stole Alex's cat ears and poured out all of her Coke. When Jessica exposed Raven, Raven took it upon herself to bully Jessica and humiliate her in front of everyone just because she wanted to be petty and mean and take her anger out on her. She also called her many derogatory names such as bitch and cu-t. The fact that she constantly talks trash about the other houseguests unnecessarily does nothing to help curb her bitchy side. In addition to the constant trash talk, she constantly lies about her personal life as a way to seek attention. The way that she treats Matt is horrible. She treats him like a dog that she likes to control and abuse and Matt comes off as an ExtremeDoormat. Because of Raven's bitch attitude towards Matt and the awful way in which she treats him, some fans even argue that their relationship is borderline DomesticAbuse.

* ChewingTheScenery: Raven is a LargeHam, a DramaQueen and an AttentionWhore combo. She likes to exaggerate everything that she does, including stories about her personal life, her illnesses, her screaming, and even her crying. In the DR, she is extremely expressive and loud much to the annoyance of the viewers.

* CuteAndPsycho: If there's one thing that defines Raven, it's the fact that she is mentally unstable. She appears sweet, kind and friendly but if she's provoked, she comes across as very volatile and unstable. Many of the other houseguests were shocked by Raven's behaviour and outrage when she got into a fight with Jessica. Paul has even called Raven crazy despite her generally friendly personality. As a result, it's hard to tell if Raven is really a nice girl or if it's nothing more than a facade to hide her nasty, volatile side. She also frequently makes up stuff about her personal life and she doesn't think that there's anything wrong with her. The worst thing about this? [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=leIoUX9vKCs Her family really does have a history of mental issues.]] You can't just blindly hate on her knowing that. Many fans believe that she suffers from serious mental illnesses and that she needs psychological treatment and help.

* DomesticAbuse: Her relationship with Matt is extremely problematic and abusive in nature. Raven is overly aggressive in her treatment of Matt (yelling at him, screaming at him, or hitting him whenever she gets irritated and mad at him) while Matt comes off as an ExtremeDoormat when it comes to standing up against Raven and her bad behavior. Many fans as well as the other houseguests have constantly trash-talked Raven and how she treats Matt. They find Raven and Matt's relationship to be borderline domestic abuse as Raven emotionally and physically abuses Matt pretty frequently and Matt just seems to take it and let Raven walk all over him.
* TheDragon: For/To Paul. She seems to do everything that he says and has a blind obedience to him. She is one of Paul's biggest puppets and loyal supporters. Since she's in an alliance with Matt, she could be considered to be CoDragons with Matt as they are both loyal to Paul and are working for him. Raven has become the Harley Quinn to Paul's The Joker with the amount of unwanted undying loyalty that she has to him.

* FanDisservice: One of the most repulsive people in the house because she has no sense of decency on camera. Raven has not only gone to pound town on Matt while everyone was sleeping (with an implied condom stash that the two use), she was caught on the live feeds [[{{Squick}} casually picking her nose and chowing down on the boogers.]] What does Matt see in her?!? Aside from doing the nasty... and no more shall be said on that subject. Oh, and the cameraman [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=_lVWoief5dw makes a repulsed note of the fact Raven walks around in indoors and out in purely socks so much that they are FILTHY.]] It's not just her- [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6c64kUCmdnU Matt does that, too.]] ...Made for each other in an icky sort of way. Y'know what- [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6c64kUCmdnU just watch this and learn.]]

** [[KickTheDog Cruelty]]: Raven appeared as though she was a NiceGirl who was sweet, friendly and compassionate. but her true colors came out as very nasty, mean spirited and cruel. Raven would constantly bash or trash talk other houseguests behind their back, even if they have done nothing to deserve it. In the first week, Raven stole Alex's cat ears and poured out all of her Coke all because she hated Alex. In Week 5, she humiliated Jessica in front of the entire house by yelling at her and calling her many derogatory names including the C word. She didn't stop there and continued to bully and harass Cody and Jessica during the bullying tirade. She didn't show and remorse for what she did and actually seemed proud of her behavior. Her treatment of Matt was also excessively problematic. She would constantly beat him, hit him or yell at him when he wasn't doing what she wanted him to do. Their relationship was so problematic that it came across as DomesticAbuse to some of the other houseguests as well as to some fans. Raven, overall, is a very nasty, cruel mean girl and she takes the cake in regards to the biggest bitch in the house next to maybe Alex.

* FemmeFatale: She uses her sexuality and her charms to manipulate Matt into doing what she wants. Some fans even believe that Raven was just using Matt for game reasons and that she didn't really have genuine feelings for him, but that she just wanted a strong man to cling to and protect her in the game. Her outward appearance is very deceiving and nobody would think that Raven, of all people, was the one who would be having sex the most while in the house.

* HandicappedBadass: Suffers from Gastroparesis, meaning her intestines are paralyzed. Physically, she can keep up with the strongest of them.
** IronWoobie: She may be tough, but her health problems are a lot more complex than gastroparesis; for one thing, she's had three pacemakers, and needs a fourth soon.

* ItsAllAboutMe: Comes with being a DramaQueen and an AttentionWhore. Raven comes across as a SpoiledBrat who is highly selfish, self involved and self absorbed. It seems that she always likes to be the centre of attention and she'll do anything to gain it. She even resorts to exaggerating things and blowing things out of proportion in order to either garner sympathy or attention from others. Some fans also believe that Raven's motivation or intentions in the game are selfish because she's basically exploiting her illness and using it as a sympathy card with the other houseguests so that they don't target her and feel guilty for getting rid of the "sick girl".

* NeutralFemale: No matter how much chaos goes on in the game, Raven manages to just sit around helplessly and does nothing to help anyone or benefit anyone's game. Many fans feel that Raven is nothing but walking furniture. Raven did NOTHING to help anyone's game. And then she goes and claims she was a mastermind... yeah, not feelin' it, girl.

* OnlySaneWoman: In a shocking twist of events, out of all the members of the jury, Raven actually came off as the most practical, logical and sensical out of all of them. The rest of the other jurors on the other hand came off as overly emotional, whiny, entitled, bitter and sore losers who couldn't get over the fact that they were outplayed and manipulated by Paul. Quite a few fans (even those who had been criticizing her all season long for her wacky and crazy behaviour) and ''Dr. Will Kirby of all people'' complimented Raven during his Backyard Interview with her, saying that he gives her props for being the most logical of the jury members and also having the most confidence in her stance regarding who she was voting for and voting for who played the best game of the season instead of voting based on hurt feelings and emotions.

* StalkerWithACrush: She's starting to become this along with a {{Yandere}} for Paul. Raven follows Paul everywhere around the house and she even resorts to copying everything that he does. Her creepy obsession with being Paul's only ally has become unnerving for Paul as well as some of the viewers. Just to think that Raven would've displayed this same stalkerish and obsessive behavior towards Paul if Matt wasn't there to have a showmance with her is even creepier.

* TallTales: Her specialty. Raven comes up with some WHOPPERS. Joe Arvin ain't got nothin' on her, and he was actually making things up to be funny and hammy. Raven isn't. That stuff comes naturally with her.

* TearsOfJoy: Jason is openly tearful once he gets news from home that his wife is pregnant with their second child. [[FridgeLogic Which means somebody was getting busy right before the competition... what better way to celebrate getting into the BB house, eh?]]

* AlasPoorScrappy: Inverted. Raven was despised by both the fans and the other houseguests alike. When Raven was finally evicted, the houseguests celebrated and were so happy to be finally free of her. The fans were also very elated that Raven was gone as well. Nobody felt sorry for her even if she was the sick girl who actually needed the money more than anyone in the house. She was so intolerable of a person that everyone forgot that this girl was seriously ill and they managed to overlook her illness to see her wretched personality instead. Fans and the houseguests simply could not get past how horrible Raven was enough to feel any kind of sympathy for her. When Raven was evicted, she was in complete shock and although it seemed as if the other houseguests felt sorry for her that she was gone, they were in fact just faking sympathy for her and they went right back to bashing her non stop and celebrating her eviction. Considering that Raven was such a horrible person to watch as a viewer and an intolerable houseguest to live with, it's no surprise that her eviction was widely celebrated.

* AngstWhatAngst: When discussing her illness with the houseguests, she doesn't sugarcoat how serious it is, but she does not try to milk any sympathy out of it. Instead of having a "woe is me" attitude, she instead chooses to be grateful for the time that she does have, and to live her life as fully as possible.

* DamselScrappy: One of the biggest complaints that many fans have about Raven is that she's so useless and weak in the game. This is in stark contrast to Alex, who is incredibly physically active, athletic and competitive. While the audience may sympathize with Raven for suffering from gastroparesis, they believe that she's still incompetent in other aspects of the game other than competitively. Because Raven is a dance teacher and a trained dancer, one would think that she would be a lot more active in the competitions, but instead, she was terrible at them. However, if she did manage to scrape by at a particular competition, it was mostly the endurance or physical competitions, but this could be because she's a dancer and many of the endurance comps require balance and focus, two things that are crucial in the world of dance. Her social game and strategic game was useless as well. Her social game was weak because nobody in the house liked her or wanted to be aligned with her. And her strategic game was so non existent that Paul took over her brains 100% of the time because of the lack of intelligence in Raven. Fans have frequently said that Raven is one of the worst houseguests because she hasn't contributed anything to the game whether it be good social skills, strong strategic skills or solid competitive skills. A lot of fans are of the opinion that the only thing that Raven did all summer was sleeping with Matt and playing house. Because of her uselessness coupled with her unlike personality, she is extremely unpopular with the Big Brother audience.

* TheScrappy: In one of the very few things in Big Brother that averts the BrokenBase, Raven is hated by nearly all BB fans. And that's for one simple reason – [[WhatYouAreInTheDark the main TV show isn't covering the ugly things she says that happen during the live feeds and After Dark.]] Raven also has one of the sketchiest backgrounds of any contestants on the show and the saga of [[BigScrewedUpFamily her troubled family]] is why a lot of people are skeptical that she's worth feeling sorry for.

* TakeThatScrappy: Raven is incredibly despised by the fans and the audience because of the fact that she is an attention seeker who constantly embellishes things about her life and then plays the constant victim role at the same time. They also find her incredibly unlikeable at the same time. Not only is she disliked widely by the audience, but she's also disliked by the other houseguests who frequently talk trash about her behind her back and did nothing but celebrate when they finally got rid of Raven by evicting her.

* AntiHero: Type II (KnightInSourArmor). For the most part, Matt is a decent NiceGuy but at the same time, he's also aligned with the dark or bad side of the house as he's one of Paul's most devoted minions and followers. He can be nasty and vicious when he wants to be but for the vast majority of the time, Matt means well and has generally good intentions (especially where Raven is concerned). He's willing to go against the grain and break some rules for those he cares about or those he's aligned with.

** Matt and Jason were never really aligned with each other although they did work together by common association with other houseguests (mainly Paul). However, Matt and Jason became quick enemies when Jason had nominated him and Raven in Week 9 and had promised that if he were to win the POV, that he would remove either Matt or Raven from the block and replace one of them with Kevin as a backdoor nominee. Jason won the POV and went back on his word to Matt and Raven by not using the POV on one of them and nixing the idea of backdooring Kevin (much to not only Matt and Raven's dismay, but his number one allies Paul and Alex's). After the Veto Ceremony, Matt got into a HUGE fight with Jason when he had confronted him for lying and going back on his word that he was intending or promising to use the POV if he won it. Matt resorted to yelling at Jason and calling him many nasty names such as a liar, a coward and a pussy. Matt made it clear that he didn't like or trust Jason because Matt realized Jason was dishonest, disloyal and a coward.
** Matt has never cared for Kevin on a personal level and the two were never closely aligned in the game. Matt has stated that he doesn't like or trust Kevin because, like a lot of other people in the house, he finds him to be fake, shady and dishonest. Matt also dislikes Kevin because he's heard from other houseguests that Kevin constantly talks crap about him and Raven behind his back (such as how annoying Matt and Raven are, how unfunny they both are, how useless they are in the game, etc.). Matt, of course, has taken this personally and in turn has targeted Kevin. In Week 9, Matt and Kevin get into a bit of a blowup when tensions rise between the two. Kevin picks a fight with Matt in the backyard by trying to say that Matt is talking crap about him and making up lies about him. Matt gets angry and confronts Kevin by suggesting that Kevin is trying to threaten him. In Kevin's goodbye message to Matt, Kevin shows that he has no love loss for Matt when he simply says "Matt, take care. Goodbye." Although the animosity between the two isn't as bad as it is between some of the other houseguests, there's still no friendly times between the two.

** It's a bad idea to personally attack Raven. When Raven told Matt that Cody said a romantic relationship wouldn't work between Raven and Cody because she can't have kids due to her illness, Matt called Cody a piece of shit and said that he "could kill him" for saying such a thing. However, this is horrifyingly subverted when it turned out that [[ManipulativeBitch Raven made that lie up about Cody just to incite Matt to face off with Cody if he went to Jury]].
** Betrayal, backstabbing, and going back on one's word is a sure way to get Matt fired up. In Week 9, Matt blew up in anger at Jason, yelling at him for going back on his word that he was going to use the POV in order to take one of them off and put up Kevin as a replacement nominee. This was the first time when Matt actually showed some serious emotion and anger in the game and it happened to be when his and Raven's game were in the balance.

* BewareTheNiceOnes: Matt is normally nice and down to earth, but he can have an aggressive streak to him especially if he is triggered into it. Something like attacking him personally or his allies, especially Raven, will reveal a tougher side out of Matt.
* BigEater: Matt ADORES cereal. Paul estimates he's eaten at least 600 cereal bowls by Day 55 of the game in Week 8, and Matt intends to make it an even thousand and uses this goal as a benchmark, and a funny excuse to keep him into the game. Funnier yet is when he sees himself up on the block twice in the same night and tells everybody he obviously hasn't had time to eat 400 more bowls of cereal. Yet, at least one person on Twitter feeds would rather "Evict the cereal eater!!!" when forced to choose between him and Mark (Mark invariably gets evicted).

* BlessedWithSuck: Matt is ''unbelievably'' bad at winning competitions, but ''stupendous'' at losing/throwing them. He even tried his hardest to come in last during "Were You Paying Attention", and got the lowest score by ''accident''. The one time he won something in the game, it was practically handed to him on a silver platter (imagine it being like, "Oh hey, the Power of Veto?" "Yup, here you go."). He also went up as a pawn four times. [[MindScrew Can you imagine him making it as far as he did?]]

* BrainlessBeauty: Matt is nice to look at from a physical standpoint but he doesn't seem to have that much in the way of brains or intelligence. He has zero strategic game and he has to depend on Paul for strategy and making game moves. Basically, every move that Matt has made (or hasn't made) has been dictated to him by Paul somehow. Thank God Matt is basically a physical Adonis.
* BrokenBase: Believe it or not, even NiceGuy Matt qualifies for this. He's stated more than once that his intent is not to win, but to get Raven to the end so that she has a chance to win given that she's an ill girl. Noble, indeed, but the fact that it's for Raven the AlphaBitch has the fans up in arms. There's also a group that is calling out the producers for having a houseguest on who doesn't even bother to play to win, given the amount of fans who audition to play every year - and who ''would'' love the opportunity to play. And his reception upon being evicted is unsurprisingly lukewarm... until the mention of cereal comes up.
