Forever Knights

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/forever_knights_original.png
An order of literal Knights Templar created in the middle ages who survived until now and deals with most alien threats. Over time, the Forever Knights ended up divided into various factions due to the departure of their leader, Sir George, resulting in both an Enemy Civil War and in-universe case of Motive Decay, since each faction ended up with its own goals or interpretation of the original goal. Most of them, however, have in common, a Fantastic Racism display toward aliens and anything else otherworldly, while illegally trading alien tech on Earth.

In Omniverse, the group has been mostly wiped out due to their war against the Esoterica, with Joseph Chadwick being the sole remaining Forever King.

    In General

  • Ancient Conspiracy: A very complex one. One faction believes the conspiracy is to kill an Alien Dragon, another thinks it's to use alien tech to conquer the world, and yet another thinks it's to follow the path of "The First Knight" who founded them. If there’s one thing they all have in common, it’s that they see all aliens and magical creatures as abominations to the Earth.
  • Anti-Magical Faction: At the very least, they are shown to despise magic. Sir Cyrus flat-out referred to Gwen as a "witch" in a hateful tone.
  • Big Bad: The Forever King; Driscoll, who was Forever King in the original series, is half the Big Bad of the fourth season (Vilgax being the other half through the "Secret of the Omnitrix" three-episode movie). Old George is part of the Big Bad Ensemble for season 2 of Ultimate Alien.
  • Cape Busters: Considering the aliens are mostly super-powered in that universe, yeah.
  • Characterization Marches On: The Original Series' Forever Knights were portrayed more like some sort of evil FBI who were merely using knight-themed suits. Alien Force and Ultimate Alien accentuated the Knight aspect to the point of giving them Medieval hierarchy and behaviors, as well as fanatical tendencies such as Fantastic Racism toward aliens and anti-magic believing.
  • Demoted to Dragon: Driscoll to Old George in Ultimate Alien.
  • The Dragon: Enoch to Driscoll in the original series.
  • Enemy Civil War: To date there are at least four Forever Knight factions, all of which think of the others as frauds. Each has their own Forever King, in order of appearance: Driscoll, Patrick, Urian, and Cyrus. This was lampshaded in one episode where Ben and company had to ask which faction the present group they were facing were with. Turns out they were with the fourth faction they hadn't met yet. And then Old George, said First Forever Knight, returned and united all four factions.
  • Evil Counterpart: To the Plumbers, especially in the original series.
  • Evil Versus Evil: Against the Esoterica.
  • Faceless Mooks: Exaggerated in "Reflected Glory" when we see Knight with his helmet on, while brushing his teeth.
  • Fantastic Racism: Quite literally their mission statement, to rid the world of all alien and magical creatures; its just after Old George left last, they sorta drifted off onto other goals. Until he returned.
  • A Father to His Men: Sir Cyrus, leader of the fourth Forever Knights faction, is extremely protective of his men.
  • Good Versus Good: Against Ben while George led them.
  • Greater-Scope Villain: They are present in every series one-way or another, having a similar presence to the likes of Vilgax, Charmcaster, or Dr. Animo.
  • Killed Off for Real: With the exception of Joseph Chadwick, Sir Morton, the twins Comedy/Tragedy, and the Forever Ninja (who is a robot), all of them died in the battle against the Esoterica.
  • Knight Templar: Depend on the faction, but at large, they usually genuinely believe they are protecting humanity from alien and magical threats. The problem is, they consider all aliens and other worldly beings as threats.
  • Let's Get Dangerous!: Thanks to Old George, they've gone from four splintered and laughable factions to a deadly force with Powered Armors forcing aliens to either leave the planet or die, to the point where Ben has to threaten to kill every last one of them to get them to retreat.
  • Lotus-Eater Machine: Enoch put Ben into one, and then was trapped in it himself, the first series trivia pop-ups say that Enoch would be in that Lotus Eater Machine for years, he did recover, though.
  • A Lighter Shade of Black: The Forever Knights might be racist assholes, but in the end, the Esoterica are far worse and Sir George joins forces with Ben to fight them off.
  • More Despicable Minion: Sir George is the founder and leader but is a Noble Demon and Anti-Villain who brims with Evil Virtues. This doesn't apply to his underlings like Enoch or Chadwick who are racist, petty, and smug murderers in contrast to their boss.
  • Motive Decay: In-Universe example; Sir George created them with a very specific goal in mind-protect Earth and Humanity from Dagon. By the time Ben meets them, they have ended up divided into various splintered factions with each one their own interpretation of this goal. Said interpretations range from world domination to slaying alien dragons, to just killing everything alien on sight.
  • Muggle Power: The "If you can't join them, kill them" type toward both aliens and magic, though they also have occasionally tried to acquire power through alien tech and magic artifacts.
  • Noble Demon: Enoch on occasion, particularly the "Ben 10" video game in which he tries to stop Vilgax and save the world, though using extreme measures to do so. The Ultimate Alien groups also have traits of this, teaming up with Ben and company on occasion. Sir George in particular stands out.
  • Powered Armor: Their higher members usually wear these.
  • Punch-Clock Villain: Some of them; one is even shown playing an MMORPG in his off time.
  • Schizo Tech: One suit was from the ancient Aztecs.
  • The Remnant: After the war against Dagon, almost all the Forever Knights were wiped out, but a remnant of them still continues their anti-alien activities.
  • Villain Decay: They still were a decent threat in the Original Series and at the beginning of Alien Force, but then become more and more of a joke, to the point Gwen outright suggests ignoring them in one episode. Eventually fixed in season 2 of Ultimate Alien (see Let's Get Dangerous!).
  • Villain Has a Point: They despise all aliens and magical beings because they think they are a danger to humanity as a whole. While not universally true, many aliens and magical beings have proven to be incredibly dangerous to humanity time and time again, with the planet nearly being destroyed by aliens associated with Ben and his friends more than once. Not helping is how their heroic counterpart, the Plumbers, implied they willingly limit their resources on Earth because they couldn't afford to waste them on a backwater planet.
  • Villain Team-Up: Driscoll was responsible for the biggest one in the whole franchise by assembling the Negative 10, a team consisting in himself and his Dragon, plus 8 of Ben's enemies (Dr. Animo, the Circus Freak Trio, Rojo, Charmcaster, Clancy and Sublimino) in the last season of the original show.
  • You Have Failed Me: Forever King Driscoll leaves Enoch trapped in virtual reality for failing him too many times. Subverted with Old George towards Driscoll; the latter expects this trope to apply, but George forgives his failure.

Original Series debut

    Enoch

Enoch

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/enoch_os.png
Voiced by: Richard Doyle

The first Forever Knight leader to be introduced in the Original Series, and Driscoll's Dragon.

  • The Cameo: His picture made a brief appearance in a The Secret Saturdays episode.
  • Dirty Coward: He relies almost entirely on his men to fight for him and only attacks the Tennysons when he has the advantage. His cowardice is perhaps best demonstrated in "Perfect Day" where he traps Ben in a Lotus-Eater Machine and spends a large amount of time lording over him, yet promptly gets trounced when the boy learns to control the dream world. No wonder Driscoll was disappointed in him.
  • The Dragon: To Driscoll.
  • Expressive Mask: Averted in the Original Series. Played straight during his short cameo in Ultimate Alien.
  • The Faceless: We never got to see what he looks like behind his mask.
  • Hate Sink: One of the few original antagonists to play this straight. While most villains had somewhat sympathetic origins or at the very least were shown to be badass and entertaining, Enoch is simply a smug, power-hungry cad who isn't even that good at combat or planning. He's also dismissive of the guy who brought him Ben in the first place and rejects the Forever Knights' original doctrine for his own selfish agenda.
  • Killed Off for Real: Like most of the Forever Knights, he died in the battle against Dagon and the Esoterica.
  • Malevolent Masked Man: Both him and his minions.
  • Noble Demon: In the first video game. He attempts to stop Vilgax from invading earth.
  • Put on a Bus: Save for a brief cameo in Ultimate Alien and appearance in the Cosmic Destruction video game, he hasn't shown up at all since the original series. According to Derrick Wyatt, he is dead.
  • The Starscream: Hinted at; In "Perfect Day", after being put in a Lotus-Eater Machine, Enoch is in a dream where he succeeded in taking Ben's Omnitrix. Rather than give it to his king, Driscoll, he puts it on himself and gloats about how the power is his. Granted this was essentially a Power Fantasy, but the fact that Enoch believed it was reality shows that he may have been plotting behind Driscoll's back long before being abandoned.
  • Start My Own: Also hinted at; in the Original Series, Driscoll eventually grew tired of his failures and left him behind. In "The Purge", he shows up as seemingly a separate leader, suggesting he made his own Forever Knight faction during the Time Skip.

    Forever King Driscoll

The Forever King of the Forever Knights faction met in the original series, who serves as the Big Bad for the first half of season 4.

  • Bad Boss: Abandoned Enoch in a Lotus-Eater Machine for failing him too many times.
  • Bald of Evil: Very hairless and very villainous.
  • Big Bad: In the first half of season 4 of the Original Series; Vilgax filled the role for the second half in Secret of the Omnitrix.
  • The Bus Came Back: After his defeat in the Original Series, Driscoll returns in Ultimate Alien.
  • Contrasting Sequel Antagonist: Driscoll does not seek the power of the Omnitrix like the previous main villains did, instead he seeks to obtain a powerful alien energy source called the Sub-Energy and use it to both take over the world and get revenge on the plumbers.
  • Demoted to Dragon: In Ultimate Alien, when George comes back, he willingly submits to him along with the other faction leaders and becomes The Dragon.
  • Fallen Hero: He was originally a member of the Plumbers until he started trading alien technology illegally, leading him to be fired and join the Forever Knights.
  • From Nobody to Nightmare: He started out as just a veteran Plumber, but after being outed as someone using alien technology for his own selfish reason, joined the Forever Knights, then managed to work up the ranks, becoming the Forever King.
  • Hypocrite: In "The Purge", while meeting with the other faction leaders, he labels them as heretics, despite the fact that his faction is arguably the most heretical of the bunch. The other faction leaders, at the very least, have some noble goals. Patrick wants to kill a (from his point of view) dangerous alien dragon, Sir Cyrus wants to follow in the path of the First Knight, and Urian wants to restore glory to the organization. Driscoll, in comparison, wants to take over the world for himself.
  • Idiot Ball: His MacGuffin, the "Sub-Energy", was supposedly powerful enough to destroy a whole country. So of course, when fighting Ben as Upchuck with it, he goes with just shooting rather mediocre Eye Beams.
  • Killed Off for Real: He died in a fight against Vilgax.
  • Light Is Not Good: He is armor is colored white, but he is pretty much evil.
  • The Man Behind the Man: To Enoch in the Original Series.
  • Powered Armor: In the original series, though it doesn't really do much aside from look intimidating. The sequels go with him outside of his armor, but one of the Ultimate Alien comic books, however, featured his Powered Armor.
  • Sore Loser: In Ultimate Alien, he agrees to fight with Ben in duel to decide whether or not he will free his alien hostages. While Ben fights with honor and even chooses to not use his most powerful forms for a more balanced fight, Driscoll still loses. He immediately tries to have the alien prisoners executed anyway out of spite. Cue Ben delivering a Badass Boast and intimidating him into freeing them.
  • Take Over the World: The purpose of his faction.
  • Undying Loyalty: To Sir George in Ultimate Alien. This is best shown when his immediate reaction upon learning of George's identity is to kneel before him and cede control of his faction.
  • You Have Failed Me: After Enoch fails one too many times, he leaves him in his Lotus-Eater Machine.

    Forever Ninja
A robotic ninja that functions as Driscoll's bodyguard.

Alien Force debut

    Forever King Patrick

Patrick

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/300px-patrick1_6680.png
Voiced by: Michael York

The leader of a Forever Knight faction trying to slay a dragon. Said dragon actually was an alien mapmaker who had been mistaken for a threat by the Knights and kept trapped for 1,000 years. After the Dragon was sent back home by Ben, he and his faction decide to keep watching in case the dragons come back for revenge.

  • Aborted Arc: His faction's plan to find and invade the Dragon Homeworld never got a conclusion, and was completely dropped when Old George came back to unite the factions.
  • Anti-Villain: His faction wasn't concerned with gathering artifacts, but slaying dragons. The only dragon they managed to capture wasn't even a threat.
  • Benevolent Boss: He supports his men morally, and takes failure much better than Driscoll does.
  • Dropped a Bridge on Him: Though it wasn't shown onscreen, Derrick J. Wyatt stated that he and most of the Forever Kings died following the end of the Dagon story arc.
  • Evil Old Folks: Though not that evil, he still is the oldest Forever King to date after Sir George.
  • General Ripper: Even after the Dragon was revealed as an innocent alien, nothing Ben and the others said could convince him and his faction that it was pointless to destroy him.
  • Killed Off for Real: Word of God confirmed he died in the battle against the Esoterica.
  • Orcus on His Throne: Unlike other Forever Kings, we never get to see him on the field. Possibly justified due to his old age.
  • Well-Intentioned Extremist: Unlike Driscoll, who just wanted to Take Over the World, he really believes he is protecting humanity by trying to slay this dragon and later prevent an invasion.

    Connor

Connor

Voiced by: Hakeem Kae-Kazim
A Forever Knight serving under King Patrick who is considered the greatest Forever Knight.
  • The Ace: Stated to be the greatest Forever Knight, which is why he was given the duty of killing the dragon.
  • BFG: Connor is given one to wield to kill the dragon.
  • Desperately Looking for a Purpose in Life: Once the dragon escapes, Connor feels his entire life up until now has been utterly pointless and he no longer has a purpose.
  • The Dragon: He is Patrick's second-in-command.
  • Eyepatch of Power: He sports one during his return in Ultimate Alien.
  • Insane Troll Logic: The Forever Knights asked for Ben's help, then they request him to engage the dragon to keep it distracted. Connor shoots both the dragon and Ben in the line of fire. When the heroes are angered that Connor tried to kill Ben, Connor responds that "it wasn't personal", but it would be if the heroes got in the Knights way again. So according to Connor, it was Ben's fault for getting in the way when he was fighting the dragon on the Knights' request to begin with. Little surprise that Ben is having none of it and uses Humungousaur to press him against the wall.
  • Killed Off for Real: One of many knights who died in the battle against the Esoterica.
  • Noble Demon: He has shades of this, declaring he swore an oath and lives by it. His intentions also appear good, albeit deluded, as he believes his actions are to protect humanity.
  • Would Hurt a Child: He has no problem attempting to murder kids if they are in the way of his dragon target.

    Squire
Voiced by: Greg Ellis
A Squire serving under King Patrick, seems to be the only good Forever Knight who allies with Ben's team.
  • The Apprentice: Hence why he's a squire.
  • Dirty Coward: He tries to play brave, but as soon as gigantic Humungousaur presses him against the wall, he spills all the beans whilst talking at rapid speed.
  • Mr. Exposition: He provides a lot of the Forever Knights' history for both the heroes and the audience.
  • Suspiciously Similar Substitute: Received one in Ultimate Alien, in the form of Winston.
  • Token Good Teammate: Thus far the only genuinely good Forever Knight, who allied with Ben, was worried about Ben's safety, and does not share the enthusiasm of his fellow Forever Knights.
  • Uncertain Doom: As he is only a squire who scarcely fights, it's unclear what his fate is after the battle against Dagon. Though it's quite likely he perished alongside the majority of the Forever Knights.

    Dr./King Joseph Chadwick

Dr. Joseph Chadwick

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/dr_chadwick.png
King Chadwick
Voiced by: Tim Curry, David Kaye (OV-44)

A scientist from King Patrick's faction that tried to kidnap Ship in an attempt to create a spaceship capable of going after the Dragon homeworld. He becomes the leader of the remaining Forever Knights in Omniverse.

  • Applied Phlebotinum: Uses a formula created by Dr. Jekyll (who was a Forever Knight) using alien DNA to mutate himself into a gorilla-like monster.
  • Ascended Extra: He initially appeared only as a one-shot villain in Alien Force who seemingly got killed off at the end of his only appearance. Omniverse brings him back and makes him a leader of his own faction.
  • Beard of Evil: In Omniverse.
  • Deadpan Snarker: This is a Tim Curry role what else did you expect?
  • Emperor Scientist: By Omniverse he has become the new king of his faction of the Forever Knights, but is still a Mad Scientist.
  • Evil Genius: To Patrick's faction in Alien Force.
  • Exact Words: He assured Will Harangue that his device would "erase all alien DNA on Earth", which Harrangue interpreted as "turning every alien on Earth into a human". Of course, what he really meant was "destroy all alien life on the planet".
  • Faux Affably Evil: In Omniverse; he was much less affable in Alien Force.
  • Good Scars, Evil Scars: He has a large scar on his right eye.
  • Herr Doktor: He's a Mad Scientist who speaks with a German accent.
  • Lean and Mean: In Omniverse.
  • Mad Scientist: He was the Forever Knights' tech expert before being promoted to king.
  • Not Quite Dead: He and Sir Morton presumably died at the end of Pet Project, only to come back in Omniverse.
  • Took a Level in Badass: He went from an one-note Mad Scientist who was barely a thorn in the heroes side, to being the new Forever King who came very close to committing genocide on all of Earth's alien residents. Also applies on a physical level when he consumes Dr. Jekyll's formula and goes One-Winged Angel.
  • One-Winged Angel: After mutating himself into a gorilla-like monster using Dr. Jekyll's formula. He becomes strong enough to even defeat Humungousaur.
  • Same Character, But Different: In his only Alien Force appearance, he had little characterizations beside being a classic Mad Scientist, and was a rather stoic character. In Omniverse, his psychopathic and sadistic tendencies are more pronounced, he dresses like a king rather than his original scientist attire, and his behavior generally is more Faux Affably Evil.
  • Villain Team-Up: With Will Harangue in Return to Forever.
  • Villainous Breakdown: When his One-Winged Angel form and Ben's alien forms are unable to pull out Excalibur (with Humungousaur only succeeding in pulling out the stone instead), Chadwick completely runs out of patience and tries to eliminate Ben and his comrades.
Chadwick: (roars) NO, NO, NO!!! This must be some kind of alien trick! Destroy them!
    Sir Morton: My lord?
Chadwick: How dare you question your king. Destroy them all!
  • Vocal Evolution: In Alien Force he had a German accent. By Omniverse this gets dropped with Tim Curry using his natural voice.
  • What Happened to the Mouse?: His last appearance in Omniverse establishes that he survived, but he and the other Forever Knights are never seen again.

    Sir Morton

Morton

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/300px-sirmortonomniverse_5714.png

Dr. Chadwick's chief enforcer.

  • Awesome Aussie: Kevin Michael Richardson gives him an Australian accent, and he's able to manhandle Kevin with ease.
  • Badass Biker: In Alien Force, he was riding some kind of motorjet.
  • The Dragon: To Chadwick.
  • Dumb Muscle: In Omniverse. However, he's still intelligent enough to know when to disobey Chadwick.
  • Enemy Mine: Agrees to form a truce with Ben, Rook, Kai, and Wes, and help them escape Excalibur's chamber because they would all drown if he didn't.
  • Lightning Bruiser: In Omniverse, Ben expresses surprise that a guy as big as him and wearing such heavy armor can move that fast.
  • Revenge Before Reason: Even when confronted by Ben, Julie, Gwen, Kevin and a fully armed Ship, he refuses to obey Chadwick's order to surrender and miss an opportunity to get revenge on Ben for what he did to the Forever Knights.
  • Same Character, But Different: His Omniverse incarnation appears significantly more cartoonish in appearance and dumber than how he was in Alien Force. This also affected him positively as he's also willing to form temporary alliances with Ben, whereas his Alien Force incarnation followed a Revenge Before Reason approach.

Ultimate Alien debut

    Sir George

George

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/c5cf8078bb1c11e1b8ad12313d1c2505_small_8360.jpg
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/4219451_9560.jpg
Yes, this is the same guy.
Voiced by: Peter Renaday

An enigmatic, immortal knight who is responsible for creating the Forever Knights in the Middle Ages. After being absent for centuries, George eventually comes back in Ultimate Alien to re-unite his order and ready them to fight an incoming threat, the Eldritch Abomination Dagon. Though well-intentioned and extremely moral, George believes all aliens are monsters, and wants them banished from Earth or dead.

  • Adapted Out: Unlike most tellings of St. George and The Dragon, there's no mention of a princess being involved whom he had to rescue.
  • Affably Evil: Even when opposed to Ben and his team, he acts polite and respectful towards them. When they fight together against Dagon and Ben is seemingly killed, George actually states he will ensure his death will be avenged.
  • Arch-Enemy: To Dagon. Having been responsible for sealing Dagon away centuries ago and dedicated his existence to preventing Dagon's return.
  • Beethoven Was an Alien Spy: He is the same person the tale Saint George and the Dragon speaks of.
  • Big Bad Ensemble: Shares the role with Vilgax and Dagon for most of season 2 in Ultimate Alien until he makes a Heel–Face Turn and dies.
  • Big Good: Once he and Ben set aside their differences and finally join forces to fight for the same cause, George takes over this role due to commanding the Forever Knights and one of the pivotal figure heads in the battle against Dagon.
  • Cool Old Guy: After regaining his youth, he's rather jovial and even engages in old-fashioned lively banter with Ben and his friends as they fight together.
  • Evil vs. Evil: He opposes his Arch-Enemy Dagon, despite being technically not that evil.
  • Fallen Hero: Supposedly, as his past self seemed rather heroic in his actions. He might even not really be fallen, just a case of Outdated Hero vs. Improved Society.
  • Family-Unfriendly Death: Dagon strikes him with lightning and electrocutes him to ash.
  • Fantastic Racism: If it isn't a pureblooded Earth native, he wants it off-world or dead. However, if they're an enemy of Dagon, such as Ben and co., he'll work with them.
  • A Father to His Men: George is deeply respected by his men and totally subverts all the Bad Boss related tropes by genuinely caring for his knights.
  • Fire-Forged Friends: George and Ben bond during their battle against Vilgax with him showing genuine concern for Ben's safety. Ben refers to him as a friend when confronting Vilgax.
  • Good Versus Good: Though he has Knight Templar tendencies, he is still technically a good guy, so his opposition to Ben can be seen as this.
  • Heel–Face Turn: Debatably; at least he didn't mind Ben's team helping him fighting Dagon in the finale.
  • Hero Antagonist: Really, Fantastic Racism aside, he isn't such a bad guy.
  • Hero of Another Story: He did manage to defeat and seal away Dagon and save the Earth during Earth's darkest hour (the Medieval Ages). In a less tolerant time, he would have certainly been the ideal hero. Unfortunately in modern times, his prejudiced desire to purge aliens makes him a villain.
  • Holier Than Thou: He sees himself as this, but he's really just A Lighter Shade of Black to the Forever Knights as a whole.
  • Hypocrite: Doesn't like aliens living on his planet, even if they're just average people that do no harm. His legend was created when an alien gave him the most powerful weapon ever created-that he created-without which George could never have beaten Dagon and founded the Forever Knights in the first place.
  • Immortality Immorality: Averted. Despite living for so long George holds tight to his ethics and founded an order to defend Earth from alien threats and Dagon in particular. If anything, he has the opposite problem.
  • It's All About Me: His goal is protecting humanity from Dagon which is noble enough in itself, but he seems to be convinced that only he can do it, cutting off the "alien" heroes and his own knights on occasion as he thinks he's the only that can defeat Dagon. Of course, Ben feels the same way.
  • Killed Off for Real: Dagon kills him during the climax of Ultimate Enemy.
  • Knight of Cerebus: Responsible for making the Forever Knights formidable threats.
  • Knight Templar: He is well-intentioned, but he has strong racist anti-alien prejudices.
  • A Lighter Shade of Black: To Dagon. Downplayed, in that desite his prejudices he's not evil.
  • Noble Demon: Despite being a xenophobic Knight Templar, he actually does have a very strong sense of morals and honor.
  • Our Founder: He is the first Forever Knight and founded the organization a thousand years before the present day, with modern day Forever Knights decorating their halls with his image.
  • Public Domain Character: He's the titular St. George from the medieval legend of "St. George and the Dragon," with Dagon being the Dragon in question. In his initial appearance, the show even references the link by name, with the story itself being an example of Direct Line to the Author.
  • Really 700 Years Old: He was a Roman soldier born as Georgius in his first lifetime and somehow gained immortality and lived for 900 years before the Medieval Era.
  • Redemption Equals Death: He doesn't last long after joining forces with Ben and his team in the fight against Dagon.
  • Shadow Archetype: To Ben. Both are humans who use an Amplifier Artifact created by Azmuth, have similar issues with trust from those they protect and possess rather high opinions of themselves. The key difference is that Ben doesn't see any difference between humans and aliens while George is a champion for humanity only. The similarities between the two even cause Ben to allow George the chance to take on Dagon despite Azmuth's orders - but when he fails, Ben says he gets the sword of Ascalon to finish the job.
  • Suddenly Voiced: He speaks for the first time in "The Purge".
  • Sympathy for the Hero: He sees himself as a hero even as Ben sees him as a villain, but he can sympathize with how Ben is treated by others quite well.
  • Take Up My Sword:Ben takes up Ascalon after his death to defeat Vilgax.
  • Telepathy: According to Word of God.
  • The Voiceless: He doesn't say a single word in his debut, nor in "Prisoner Number 775 is Missing".
  • Well-Intentioned Extremist: He really does want to protect humanity-whatever the cost.

    Forever King Urian

Urian

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/300px-urian_001_2463.png
Voiced by: Jim Piddock

The leader of another Forever Knight separate faction.

    Sir Cyrus

Sir Cyrus

The leader of a Forever Knight faction who proclaims to follow the path of “the First Knight”.

  • Co-Dragons: After Sir. George returns, he serves this role along with Driscoll.
  • Dropped a Bridge on Him: Ended up killed in the Esoterica wars.
  • Fantastic Racism: Chides his squire Winston for flirting with the non-human (entirely) Gwen.
  • Hero Antagonist: Despite being a Forever Knight, complete with all that entails, he worked with Ben’s team in both his appearances, with no strings attached.
  • Motive Decay: Inverted, as his faction carries on George’s goal of battling the Dragon.
  • Unwitting Instigator of Doom: His faction ended up breaking the seal keeping Dagon from reaching into our dimension.
