Suzuharu Sakudou

A first year student at Kamenomiya High School at the start of manga. Ever since middle school, he has never won a competitive kendo match which makes him want to quit kendo in high school. But, he reluctantly keeps on doing kendo simply because he can't say no to his childhood friend, Chiko, and all of his senior in the kendo club. He decide to continue kendo after meeting Kiki. Currently a second year student and the captain of the kendo club.

A first year student at Kamenomiya High School at the start of manga, currently a second year student. Used to be the the national 2nd best in middle school. She quit when she realizes how big the gap between her and Kaguya, the champions. She decide to comeback to competitive kendo after meeting Yamada. Qualified to the National Inter-High Kendo Tournament Single Competition as the winner of Tokyo preliminary tournament.

Used to be a member of Tenma Dojo. She quit kendo because of her frustration at her inability to beat her best friend, Nanako.

Kendo Komachi◊ (Kendo Beauties) is a gathering of 9 middle to high school age female kendoka from all around the country that was chosen by Okame TV based on their strength and beauty to participate in their tv program 3 years ago.

Ura Sakaki

One of the Kendo Komachi. A third year student at Touryuu High School in Fukuoka, Kyushu. She was the undefeated Japan junior high national champion for three years in a row, both in single and team competitions before she abruptly quit kendo. She is returning to high school kendo world after her last and only loss to Yamada one year ago in Banish Academy variety show. Qualified to the National Inter-High Kendo Tournament Single Competition as the winner of Fukuoka preliminary tournament.
