Eagle Union (Battleships | Aircraft Carriers) | Royal Navy (Light Cruisers) | Sakura Empire (Aircraft Carriers) | Ironblood (Vanguard Ships) | Sardegna Empire | Other Nations | Sirens | Others

Ship Prefix: USS
Representing the United States Navy; a member of the "Azur Lane" alliance with the Royal Navy.
Eagle Union ships tend to have high firepower with skills such as Full Firepower. Their cruisers favor guns above torpedo and have a variety of powerful anti-air options, while their aircraft carriers have high offensive air power. Even many of the battleships have higher than average anti-air stats. Some of their ships tend to lean towards the defensive side with skills such as Vice Defense and emergency self-heals.
Unlike the Royal Navy and the Sakura Empire, there's no real solo faction focus, having a mix of powerful stand alone units and units with non-faction specific buffs. This allows you to mix them with other units rather decently. This has changed with some of the more recent units in 2019 like Baltimore and Bunker Hill, who have more faction-specific tools.
Destroyers (DD)
- Jack of All Stats: Unlike most other factions' destroyers, Eagle Union Destroyers have balanced statlines. With the right skills, they can be pretty strong like Post Retrofit Laffey but on the flip side without such skills, they tend to lag behind other ships whose specialized statlines can offset this deficit. Allen M. Sumner and Ingraham are more so, boasting FP stats usually seen on certain german destroyers while lacking the other ships' weaknesses.
Dewey (DD-349)
Voiced by: Miyuri Shimabukuro

- ID: No. 004Rarity: RareArtist: Huo Yi"I am the destroyer, Dewey. Please let me know if there's anything I can help you with. Dewey will do her everything in her power!"
- Named After Someone Famous: Named after George Dewey, the only person ever awarded the rank of Admiral of the Navy, a rank equated to that of a six-star admiral and basically the equivalent of the Army's General of the Armiesnote . Granted, all of the Eagle Union Destroyers are named for decorated USN personnel.
- Rare Random Drop: Only drops in Level 13-3 (very late in the main story)
- Support Party Member: Slightly reduces damage taken by carriers and light carriers and has a partially mutual support with Gridley with Dewey getting a firepower buff while buffing the other destroyer's firepower and reload.
- Why Did It Have to Be Snakes?: She loathes typhoons. Considering she lost two sisters, Hull and Monaghan, during Typhoon Cobra, this is to be expected. This is also the same typhoon responsible for the loss of USS Spence.
Aylwin (DD-355)
Voiced by: Ayaka Ohashi

- ID: No. 406Rarity: RareArtist: Huo Yi"Greetings, my name is Aylwin. I'm actually quite talented at nautical navigation, so please allow me to be your guide."
- Clingy Jealous Girl: Her Oath line has signs of this, but in light of her general character it's justified as she's insecure about herself compared to real women.
- Rose-Haired Sweetie: She is one, though she does have her limits (saying at "upset" affection level that if the commander doesn't improve, even she'll get fed up and leave.)
- Single-Target Sexuality: She seems to take to the commander quite fast.
- Support Party Member: Slightly reduces the damage carrier and light carriers take.
- Weight Woe: She doesn't like when people call her chubby. This relates to the fact that well-developed girls are prone to being called chubby by other kids.
- Boring, but Practical: They don't have particularly fancy skills or stellar stats or a particularly amazing EX barrage, but they're cheap to run, easy to get, and their Baptismal Flames skill gives them good endurance in PVE. As such, it's common to tack one of them on to a "1:1" farming fleet to give it some more evasion and firepower at very little additional oil cost.
- Fashionable Asymmetry: Both only wear one thigh-high stocking prior to retrofit and have differently colored eyes. Downplayed after retrofit, when they wear both stockings, but only one garter.
- Glass Eye: As a result of damage suffered at Pearl Harbor, both Cassin and Downes have a fake eye (Cassin's left eye and Downes's right eye) that is implied to be, if not glass, at least non-functional. The fake eye stands out by having an extra ring and a light colored pupil.
- Heal Thyself: Both have the Baptismal Flames skill, which restores 15% at base and 25% at max of their health once they fall below 20% health.
- Last Chance Hit Point: Once per battle they can restore their HP if they fall below 20%.
- More Dakka: Both possess a barrage skill and gain Quick Reload during retrofit, which can significantly boost their rate of fire when it activates.
- Red Oni, Blue Oni: Cassin is the calm blue oni to Downes's action-loving red oni.
- Moveset Clone: They have exactly identical stats and skills, both pre- and post-retrofit, besides a minor three-point difference in Luck.
- We Can Rebuild Him / Theseus' Ship Paradox: Both were extensively rebuilt after their hulls were badly damaged by fire during the attack on Pearl Harbor, though Downes talks about it much more than Cassin. Both ships basically just had everything but their boilers, turbines and some other equipment scrapped and a new ship built around them.
Cassin (DD-372)
Voiced by: Nana Harumura

- ID: No. 005Rarity: NormalArtist:"Nice to meet you, I'm Cassin. If you've no business with me, I'd like to enter the docks…"
- Aren't You Going to Ravish Me?: Raising up her affection level high enough has her comment that she's getting annoyed at the commander acting gentlemanly with her and takes it as a sign that they don't find her attractive.
- Badass Bookworm: Cassin would rather be in her room reading books, but that doesn't stop her from kicking ass with the rest of the fleet.
- Hikikomori: Cassin would really rather spend all of her time in her room and her login quote is "Even the Commander cannot make me leave my room... ". Furthermore, her Japanese dialog specifically calls her a Hikikomori.
- Sleepyhead: Other than stay in her room and read, Cassin would also generally much rather be napping than out fighting.
Downes (DD-375)
Voiced by: Ayano Niina

- ID: No. 006Rarity: NormalArtist:"Hey! Are you the Commander? I'm Downes. Nice to meet ya!"
- Chuunibyou: A lot of her personality is dedicated to what she perceives to be cool, such as how she frames having been rebuilt, as well as her love of blowing stuff up.That's right, Commander: 'I am only half of my original self.' Sounds super cool, doesn't it!
- Hot-Blooded: In contrast to Cassin, Downes is eager for a fight (and a chance to cause some explosions).
- Idiot Hair: Downes's ahoge emphasizes that she's much sillier than her sister.
- Large Ham: Downes will loudly boast of her greatness if she's MVP.
- Pointless Band-Aid: Downes wears a band-aid over the bridge of her nose at all times, presumably because it looks cool, but it does highlight her boisterous nature.
- Stuff Blowing Up: Downes has a passion for explosions rivaling Megumin's. Her focus on explosions and apparent disregard for safety measures is likely a reference to how her fuel tanks exploded in the attack on Pearl Harbor, which resulted in the damage to her, Cassin, and Pennsylvania.
- What Have I Become?: As her affection level goes up, it's apparent that even if she's never heard of the Theseus' Ship Paradox, she's feeling some distress over it, as she wonders if the Commander will return her affection even though more than half of her body has been rebuilt. Still, if she receives an Oath Ring, she'll tell you that even if her body isn't whole anymore, her heart still is.
- Boring, but Practical: Like the Mahan-class, they don't have any fancy skills nor particularly good stats, but they have the same Double Torpedo skill some of the Sakura Empire ships have, making them good early-game picks until better options come along. In addition, Gridley has a skill that increases the torpedo power of all destroyers in the fleet, while Maury has a skill that lets her evade attacks for a short duration.
- Four-Girl Ensemble: This class has a sports theme going on with them, with Craven as the cheerleader, McCall as the watergirl, Gridley as the photographer, and Maury as the athlete.
- Moveset Clone: Craven and McCall are almost identical, with only about 40 HP, a single point in Evasion, 3 points in Speed, and 3 points in Luck making Craven very slightly better at level 100. Everything else, from skills to efficiencies, is identical.
- Square Race, Round Class: Unlike most destroyers of their faction, which lean towards guns in some fashion, the Gridley class has the Double Torpedo skill, something mainly found on Sakura ships and have torp heavy statlines.
Gridley (DD-380)
Voiced by: Narumi Shinohara (Japanese), Apphia Yu (English)

- ID: No. 007Rarity: RareArtist: Shenbei Xiaoqiu"Nice to meet you, Commander! I'm Gridley. I'm Saratoga's escort ship~! She's, like, super cute!"
- Camera Fiend: Always seen with her camera. In both the game and anime, she's even shown carrying it around in combat.
- Stalker with a Crush: She is this for Saratoga, considering she did escort her at least once during the war. Some of her pictures of Saratoga are in a less-than-professional light, and Saratoga's character quest is framed by Gridley's pictures "narrating" Saratoga's growing relationship to the commander.
Craven (DD-382)
Voiced by: Ayano Niina

- ID: No. 008Rarity: NormalArtist: Shenbei Xiaoqiu"Second ship of the Gridley-class, Craven, reporting in. Leave the halftime cheers to me!"
- Art Evolution: Her special skin shows how her artist has advanced since he first made them.
- Iconic Item: Her cheerleader baton which looks like a lance in her chibi form.
- Pom-Pom Girl: The cheerleader of the Gridley-class. This trope is shown in full effect with her special skin.
McCall (DD-400)
Voiced by: Nana Harumura

- ID: No. 009Rarity: NormalArtist: Shenbei Xiaoqiu"Hello, Commander. You can just call me McCall. My hobbies are sleeping, daydreaming and eating popsicles - please assign me to somewhere peaceful, thank you."
- Dull Surprise: The most stoic of the four Gridley sisters. Her voice lines are typically delivered in monotone and she's lazing about so much that she's even the chibi mascot for restocking food in your Dorm.
- Trademark Favorite Food: Never seen without her ice pops.
Maury (DD-401)
Voiced by: Konomi Kohara

- ID: No. 010Rarity: EliteArtist: Shenbei Xiaoqiu"You can just call me Maury. Reaching a maximum speed of 42.8 knots, I hold the Eagle Union speed record in track and field. Oh, but... marathons aren't for me..."
- Collection Sidequest: She's unlocked as a playable ship only after 10 total stars have been obtained from the other Gridley-class ships note — a free copy is then given as a reward, and future copies can be obtained from the build menu to help with limit-breaking.
- Passionate Sports Girl: Really likes talking to you about her running, even in her introductory line.
- Square Race, Round Class: Has "double torpedo", a skill typically found on Sakura destroyers.
- Super-Speed: Claims to have a top speed of 42.9 knots, which translates to her main skill increasing her evasion by at least 40% for a short duration. This is a reference to her achieving 42.8 knots on trials, which is the highest speed ever achieved by a US destroyer.
- Animal Motifs: Cats. Sims and Hammann both have cat ears and their personalities are very catty (Sims being playful, Hammann being Tsundere).
- Little Bit Beastly: Both ships in this class have cat ears and tails despite not being Sakura Empire ships. Artwork and descriptions tend to also be at odds with one another on this topic. For example, one can see the headband on which Sims' fake cat ears are attached to in her retrofit, and the description for Hammann in Crosswave also says that the ears are fake. This doesn't explain the tails, nor explain how the Live2D for Hammann's swimsuit outfit features animated ears and tail. The anime complicates things further by showing that Hammann's tail is directly connected to her tailbone and not something she's wearing.
- Wearing a Flag on Your Head: Both sisters have something on them that has the American flag colors, usually a tie.
Sims (DD-409)
Voiced by: Mikako Komatsu

- ID: No. 026Rarity: RareArtist: Yumesaki Kaede"So you're my Commander, huh. Hmmm~ I'm the Sims-class destroyer's name ship, Sims. Ehehe, I look forward to working with you."
- Smoke Out: Gains the Smokescreen skill post-retrofit.
- Smug Smiler: Generally has this expression and tends to be a bit condescending towards the commander. And appears to get even smugger post refit.
- Troll: Appears in her lines, and in Hammann's story she trolls Hammann quite a bit.
Hammann (DD-412)
Voiced by: Asuka Itou (Japanese), Brittany Lauda (English), Amanda Hinojosa (Latin American Spanish)

- ID: No. 027Rarity: RareArtist: Yumesaki Kaede"Hey! Don't give stare at me like such an idiot, you pervert! ...I'm cute? Did you really think just complementing me would make me happy? You moron!"
- Boobs-and-Butt Pose: Her summer loading screen art has her in this pose.
- Bratty Half-Pint: Being a Tsundere, this is somewhat of a given. She's not really the most pleasant talker, is verbally abusive to the Commander, and have some serious anger management issues. Even when you get to marry her, she is still this but graciously accepts your pledge to her, anyways.
- Butt-Monkey: In the Anime. It's not as bad as San Diego, but she's also a butt of quite a number of jokes too (usually at the entertainment of Hornet).
- Deadpan Snarker: Some of her lines can be outright condescending. This gem, for example:"Are you actually going to have me open the rewards for you?" (Of course, you can't actually have her open the rewards since you're the one who has to push buttons on the interface screen, you big idiot.)
- I Regret Nothing: She makes it clear in her biography that she has never regretted trying to save Yorktown, even though it led to her being sunk by I-168.
- It's Personal: With I-168. One of her idle lines has her saying that she will "teach her a lesson". She's probably not too serious about it though considering that they're now on the same team.
- Luminescent Blush: Always has these on all of her portraits. Then again, she's almost always either angry at the commander or embarrassed, usually in relation to supposed perversion.
- Meido: Her outfit is akin to one, with a frilly skirt and all. In the anime ED she's serving the table guests alongside Belfast, playing the role straight.
- Platonic Life-Partners: With Yorktown. They view each other as sisters, with Hammann wanting to go see her and Yorktown listing her alongside her actual sisters in her party skin, and looking for her at the party.
- Stance System: Her skill is to temporarily increase her Anti-Air but losing some firepower.
- Support Party Member: She reduces flagship damage by a percentage. This is a nod to her taking a torpedo trying to protect a disabled Yorktown in the Midway aftermath.
- Third-Person Person: In her Japanese lines, she always refer to herself in third person. The cute variant.
- Tsundere: In fact, it seems like her tsundereness is her way of showing affection, given that she can't even care to be angry with the Commander if her affection is at "Disappointed". In her ministory, it seems that she is just absolutely unable to express her honest feelings without outside intervention.
- Animal Motifs: Rabbits. Benson is a Playboy Bunny, Bailey is an energetic bunny, Laffey is a lazy rabbit, and each of them have rabbit ears.
- Little Bit Beastly: Subverted. While the class has rabbits as motif, those that appear to have rabbit ears are wearing fake ones, or wear ribbons to make them look like rabbit ears. Bailey doesn't even wear one, instead she goes with hairclips and rabbit decorations (though unlike her sisters, she outright calls herself a bunny).
- Third-Person Person: Both Laffey and Bailey tend to refer to themselves by only their respective names, emphasizing their childishness.
Benson (DD-421)
Voiced by: Manami Numakura

- ID: No. 018Rarity: RareArtist: Hao"Yahoo! Commander! Aren't you charmed by how cute and risque I am? Huh? W-who am I? ... Hahaha... My name is Benson... It's a pleasure to meet you..."
The personification of the destroyer USS Benson. She is one of the monthly login reward ships along with her sister Bailey.
- Animal-Eared Headband: She wears one, which she claims is real. She gets rather livid when the Commander tries to take it off her.
- In the Name of the Moon: Some of her lines have Sailor Moon references. (This is, of course, because rabbits are associated with the moon in Japan.) Get her upset, and she'll invoke the trope name:Oh evil being who conspires against cuties... in the name of the moon, I will punish you!
- Kawaiiko: She's obsessed with cuteness, and goes out of her way to make sure that her every word and action is cute.
- Playboy Bunny: Looks the part minus the overly sexual themes usual to this trope.
- Status Buff: Her Air Raid Assistance skill increases the damage of all carriers in the fleet, and stacks with all other skills with the same effect such as retrofitted Long Island's Air Support skill.
- Token Adult: Only one of her sisters that appear to be in their late teens.
Laffey (DD-459)
Voiced by: Maria Naganawa (Japanese), Tia Ballard (English), Valentina Souza (Latin American Spanish)

- ID: No. 019Rarity: EliteArtist: Yumesaki Kaede"Benson-class destroyer Laffey, awaiting orders… These ears aren't real, so please stop staring at them so much…"
The personification of the destroyer USS Laffey.
- The Alcoholic: This has become an Ascended Meme after several official references have been made.
- Slow Ahead hints she was drinking more than oxycola.
- The Lunar New Year Celebration mini-event where she and Prinz Eugen are obviously drunk; and in the Flower Festival event, she outright asks where the alcohol is.
- One of the login screens during "The Solomon Ranger" event features Laffey trying to add not-Jack Daniel's whiskey to whatever Z23, Javelin, and Ayanami are trying to make.
- Badass Longcoat: She's wearing a sleeveless one in her retrofit clothing, fitting with how much stronger she's become.
- Big Eater: Despite her small stature, Laffey has a battleship-sized appetite.
- In the anime, Laffey eats an entire stack of pancakes in one bite shortly before challenging Ayanami for her's.
- In Slow Ahead, she's able to wolf down nearly all of Dunkerque's sweets in short order note .
- Blood Knight: She admits she's not really motivated by anything except fighting. This might be what's causing her usual disposition. She's arguably a deconstruction of the trope, as her boredom outside of combat has turned her into a perpetually bored, tired alcoholic.
- Fanservice Pack: While her "assets" stay the same, her outfit does become skimpier post-retrofit.
- Gun Fu: Invoked after retrofit. Completed with John Woo character style posing with two pistol-style turrets and a Badass Longcoat. Heck, her Super Mode gained from retrofit is outright about shooting faster and shooting more.
- Possibly used as a Historical In-Joke for her Dying Moment of Awesome in her service history. During the Naval Battle of Guadalcanal, Laffey almost crashed into IJN battle ship Hiei, and with a battleship on her stern, a second on her port beam, and two destroyers on her port bow, Laffey fought the Japanese ships with her three remaining main battery gunsnote in a no-quarter duel at point-blank range. Laffey unleashed her torpedoes and, using all her firepower, raked the battleship’s bridge(see Red Baron). Laffey was then blasted by a 14-inch shell from Hiei and a torpedo in her fantail for her trouble, resulting in an violent explosion that ripped her apart. Her close quarter, almost berserker like last stand earned her a Presidential Unit Citation post sinking.
- Guns Akimbo: Upon retrofit. She's even seen posing with them or twirling them constantly.
- Jack of All Stats: Has well-balanced stats compared to the other starters, and post-remodel she has one of the highest reload stats in the game, allowing her to fire her weapons faster and proc her skills more often.
- More Dakka: Her special barrage post remodel ups her reload by 200%, enabling her do a good amount of damage through sheer volume of fire.
- Red Baron: Her primary skill calls her the "Wargod of Solomon" for an incident in which, during the First Naval Battle of Guadalcanal, Laffey came within 20 feet of colliding with Hiei, which was then incapable of depressing its guns low enough to hit Laffey, which used the opportunity to rake Hiei's superstructure with gunfire, badly wounding Admiral Abe and killing his chief of staff, badly hindering his ability to command.
- Sleepyhead: She is often so sleepy to the point of speaking almost in monotone. Some of her lines imply that it's the result of her being bored out of her mind when there isn't anything to fight.
- Starter Mon: One of three available starters in all three servers of the game along with Javelin (all three servers) and Z23 (CN and NA) or Ayanami (JP).
- Thanks for the Mammary: Episode 12 of the Bisoku Zenshin anime has her sleepwalking and using the other girls' breasts as pillows.
- Took a Level in Badass: Not just stat wise but in her remodel's art, she's seen with a more serious expression and in an action pose. (That said, her refit does also make her ridiculously powerful, especially with investment into her new skill.)
- Trademark Favorite Food: Well drink as her chibi has drinking from a bottle as an animation. While it's said to be an energy drink, fans have different ideas, and some official material agrees.
- You Don't Look Like You: Before the game's initial beta, she was illustrated
◊ by Hao instead of Yumesaki Kaede, and looks more in-line with Benson. The design is still present in the game as chibi in Akashi's gem shop
.
Bailey (DD-492)
Voiced by: Eri Suzuki (Japanese), Dani Chambers (English)

- ID: No. 263Rarity: RareArtist: DanGo"I'm Bailey, a Benson-cla... Wait, no, I'm a bunny! Commander, have you seen any of my sisters?"
The personification of the destroyer USS Bailey. She is one of the monthly login reward ships along with her sister Benson.
- Cloudcuckoolander: She refers to herself as a little bunny (or a Rabbit Alien) and constantly references Planet Bunny. What's Planet Bunny or a Rabbit Alien? Whatever it is, it's so odd that the commander investigates in her character quest.
- Cute Witch: Her Halloween skin has her dress as a young witch girl.
- Idol Singer: She wants to become an idol, as revealed during her character quest.
- Irony: Despite claiming to actually be a bunny, and being the only one of the sisters to do so, she's the only one that isn't wearing fake bunny ears, instead wearing a hair clip that look like a bunny head.
- Magical Girl: With a dash of Stage Magician in her retrofit skin.
- Oblivious to Love: Does not quite understand her commander's affections, though not to the same extent as Renown.
- Smoke Out: Her Smokescreen skill increases the evasion of all frontline ships within an Area of Effect at the start of battle and every 15 seconds thereafter, similar to the skill with the same name as the C-class ships have.
- Status Infliction Attack: Her retrofit skill Disturbance Shooting reduces a random enemy's attack speed and damage within a short duration.
Hobby (DD-610)
Voiced by: Miyuki Kobori

- ID: No. 362Rarity: RareArtist: AO"The one and only Hobby has arrived! Commander, Commander! Are you ready to be impressed by my charm? Hehe~"
Kalk (DD-611
Voiced by: Miyuki Kobori

- ID: No. 363Rarity: RareArtist: AO"Kalk, reporting in (flick sleeves) Commander, will you give me a high-five. As long as we high-five, we’re friends."
- Boring, but Practical: The Fletcher class doesn't particularly stand out for stats, but they have the lowest oil consumption in the game, making groups of high-level (no limit breaks more so, particularly in Chinese AL) Fletchers popular for farming, especially in conjunction with the similarly low-cost Erebus Class monitors. the big thing is Fletcher's skill set which gives a sizable boost to their stats.
- Com Mons: Very many of them are rather common from both stage drops and construction, and a recent trend is to have Rare rarity Fletchers as low end filler in events.
- The Ghost: Fletcher's massive number of siblings are in the Commander's fleet, as revealed in Cleveland's character quest, even though there's "only" a dozen of them in the game proper so far. Apparently the Fletchers like to play together, and nearly 180 ships in the same wheat field would be a safety hazard.
- Moveset Clone: Out of thirteen total Fletcher-class ships in the game, eight of them have extremely similar movesets:
- The Common trio of Aulick, Foote, and Spence. Aulick has a higher reload at level 100 (at 178), the trio have different Luck Stats (62, 67, and 20 respectively) and all other stats and skills are identical.
- The Rare trio of Thatcher, Radford, and Jenkins are a downplayed example, since there's a fair bit more variance in their stats. Their differences are that they have 1712 or 1733 HP at level 100, 154-157 Evasion, 175 or 182 Reload, and 42-45 speed. But everything else, such as their gun efficiencies, Firepower or Torpedo stat, and their Full Firepower skill are identical.
- The Rare duo of Bush and Kimberly both have the Anti-air Vigilance skill instead of Full Firepower, but can be grouped as their own moveset clones as a result. Bush has 2 more Firepower, 6 more Anti-Air, but one less Torpedo stat than Kimberly, and again those are the only differences.
- Sailor Fuku: The Beaver Squad and Fletcher wear the same type of sailor uniform and feathered cap, with the exception of Fletcher who has her hair tied in a yellow ribbon instead (as she wasn't part of the Little Beavers in real life).
- The Squad: The "Little Beaver Squadron": Aulick, Foote, Spence, Thatcher, and Charles Ausburne. Collecting them and limit breaking them unlocks rewards culminating in the meta-defining Little Beaver Squadron Squadron Tag which increases fleet-wide speed by 20% after 17 total stars have been obtained from these destroyers note .
- Token Adult: Kimberly and Mullany are older-looking than the other Fletchers, even big sis Fletcher herself, and resemble teenagers or young adults (or cruisers) instead of children. They're noticeably taller (and bustier in Mullany's case) and swap out the Sailor Fuku outfits for shorts and jackets.*
Fletcher (DD-445)
Voiced by: Manaka Iwami

- ID: No. 011Rarity: RareArtist: Lino"Hm? You think we've met before? I get it… You know, I have over 100 sisters who look like me! I'll be following your orders from now on, Commander."
- Badass Boast: She states that the fleet should overwhelm the enemy with sheer numbers. Considering that there are 175 Fletcher-class destroyers in real life (not yet implemented into the game), her boast has merit.
- Cool Big Sis: She's somewhat younger in appearance than usual for the trope, but she cares a lot about her massive number of younger sisters, and remembers all of their names. To reflect this, one of her skills boosts the firepower and evasion of any other Fletcher-class destroyers in her fleet, and another boosts the firepower, torpedo, and reload stats of all destroyers in her fleet.
- Massively Numbered Siblings: A part of her character is watching over all of them and knowing all their names (an impostor was caught when asked to name them all). Fitting, as the Fletcher-class was and is the most numerous class of destroyer ever built. She wonders if their parents were rabbits.note
- Support Party Member: Her Sisters' Temperament skill increases the firepower and evasion of all Fletcher-class units in the party, making her the core piece of the Fletcher Fleet, a low-cost party designed to farm early-to-mid-game maps for as low oil cost as possiblenote . She has a Destroyer Firepower buffing general skill on top of that.
- Vapour Wear: Unlike the others in her class, her Sailor Fuku is backless and sideless (for some reason), revealing that she isn't wearing a bra.
Radford (DD-446)
Voiced by: Mariya Ise

- ID: No. 299Rarity: RareArtist: DanGo"I am Fletcher class's Radford. Commander, do you want some lolipops?"
- Comfort Food: May be the case as she mentions washing away the shame of Kolombangara while munching on some sweets. In that battle only a single Japanese destroyer was sunk while multiple ships on the Allied side were damaged and one sunk.
- Double Entendre: Her oath line: Does this mean I'm the sweetest candy in the world to you, Commander? ... Okay, so... I guess that means I'll be your lollipop from now on? Worse in the Chinese where she says he needs to keep her in your mouth.
- Oral Fixation: Lolipops. She's almost always eating one and even offers the commander some.
- Overshadowed by Awesome: Mentions that she feels somewhat like she looks plain compared to some of her famous sisters. But she doesn't mind much.
- Rare Random Drop: She only drops from 9-2 and at a lower rate compared to other rare ships.
- Sweet Tooth: Seems to be crazy for anything sweet. Even suggests shooting candy at the enemy instead of ammunition.
Jenkins (DD-447)
Voiced by: Mariya Ise

- ID: No. 300Rarity: RareArtist: DanGo"Y- you're the Commander?...Hello, I'm the Fletcher-class destroyer Jenkins...U-um, can you please bring me back?"
- Cowardly Lion: Appears to be terrified of anything and everything, even the Admiral scares her at times. Yet seems willing to fight anyway.
- Rare Random Drop: She only drops from 9-2 and at a lower rate compared to other rare ships.
- Trust Password: Made the Admiral memorize an undefined phrase to prove that it is really him.
Nicholas (DD-449)
Voiced by: M*A*O

- ID: No. 301Rarity: EliteArtist: DanGo"I'm Nicholas, the first Fletcher-class ship to be launched… I'd rather stay in the base than sortiiiie… Can I just do that insteeeead?"
- Big Little Sister: Strongest stat wise (particularly with her remodel) and historically the first to be completed in spite of being being started later.
- Gender-Blender Name: Nicholas, a typically male name, is applied to a female ship.
- Rare Random Drop: She only drops from 9-3's boss node.
- Red Baron: The Nick, which shares it's name with one of her skills.
- Sleepyhead: A bit more pronounced than Laffey since her chibi has animations of her nearly dozing off.
Bache (DD-470)
Voiced By: Sayaka Kaneko

- ID: No. 407Rarity: RareArtist: Waterkuma"Yoohoo~! You the Commander? You look kinda weaksauce, though~! Name's Bache! I'm joining this fleet, starting today! I'll take good care of you, so just kick back and get ready for my greatness!"
- The Fashionista: She thinks of herself as one, as she looks down upon other fashions (to the point of acting like she doesn't know her sisters).
- Gold Digger: She appears to have a fascination with money, and given she's designed as a stripper this might be expected.
- Gyaru Girl: Moreso than others in the game; she thinks it's what's "in vogue". This extends to her bike which was customized by her to garish extents.
- Hopeless with Tech: According to her, she has no idea how to work with the bike she got in her Gorgeous Speed-star skin. A unknown friend in the royal navy pimped the bike for her, leaving us to wonder who else shares her taste in fashion among the Royal faction.
- Nice Girl: Oddly, for all that she looks like a pimp or prostitute, she is actually pretty darn nice and willing to look after the Shikikan even when her affection level reaches "disappointed".
- Shameless Fanservice Girl: She is well aware how revealing her clothes are, and her "special touch" line has her tease the commander about it instead of getting flustered like other ships would.
- Trademark Favorite Food: Or drink in her case, she mentions a special "honey-infused energy drink" in both her standard skin and sports skin. Both times offeriing you a sip because you look exhausted.
- Stripperiffic: Literally — her base skin already has a shade of stripper-ness, but her biker skin takes it up a notch, with all the banknotes in her short shorts and her bike's license plate having been "617CH" in the original reveal before it was censored to "61700" just before the maintenance was done.
- Why Did It Have to Be Snakes?: Is hinted to be scared of heavy storm winds due to being blown all over the place during a storm at the harbor of Rhodes.
Stanly (DD-478)
Voiced by: Yoshie Sakai

- ID: No. 409Rarity: RareArtist: Amoeba原虫"Good morning, Commander. I'm Stanly, a destroyer from the Eagle Union. I will follow your every order to bring you victory... Pffft! Bahaha! S-Sorry, this whole "serious introduction" thing totally cramps my style, haha!"
- Chuunibyou: She talks about being in "modes".
- Uniformity Exception: She is a Little Beaver but her outfit is completely different from the other Beavers.
Halford (DD-480)
Voiced by: Yurie Igoma

- ID: 20033Rarity: PriorityArtist: Shnva
The personification of the USS Halford (DD-480), she was introduced as a Research ship in the seventh collab with World of Warships. Though having existed in real life, she is instead depicted in her experimental 1943 configuration, which turns her into a hybrid destroyer equipped with a catapult and recovery crane that allows her to carry and launch seaplanes.
- Elegant Gothic Lolita: Halford's entire appearance is this. One of her lines states that her dress was a one-of-a-kind, made-to-order, vampire-themed outfit she bought as a treat for all her hardwork.
- Historical In-Joke: Her elegant mannerisms and outfit might feel out of place for a tech-savvy nation like the Eagle Union, being much more in line for a Royal Navy ship, until you realize that her namesake
was a British-born United States Navy officer. - Mechanically Unusual Fighter: Halford has AVI stats and she can equip float plane in her third (anti-air gun) weapon slot after reaching Dev. Level 10.
Foote (DD-511)
Voiced by: Yuna Yoshino

- ID: No. 016Rarity: NormalArtist: Lino"*Tsk* Greetings... I hate greetings. But I suppose it's a formality... Hello, Commander. I'm Foote..."
- Lazy Bum: Pretty much everything is a drag for her.
- Perpetual Frowner: Only because everything annoys her all the time.
Spence (DD-512)
Voiced by: Yuna Yoshino

- ID: No. 017Rarity: NormalArtist: Lino"Huh...? C-C-C-Commander...Hello...Spence h-has been wanting to talk to you... b-but didn't have the courage to..."
- Cowardly Lion: She's afraid of fighting, but she does her best because she's afraid of letting her commander down more.*
- Fear of Thunder: She's afraid of storms, with good reason, as Typhoon Cobra sunk her.
- Prone to Tears: Pretty much her default expression. She's shy and frightened by almost everything, and very emotional.
- Shrinking Violet: She's very easily spooked and Prone to Tears. This might be a reference to being the only Little Beaver lost during the war.
Thatcher (DD-514)
Voiced by: Ruka Nemoto

- ID: No. 014Rarity: RareArtist: Lino"Hi there, Commander! I'm Thatcher. Want to play a game with me?"
- The Prankster: Likes playing pranks, with Spence being her usual victim. One of her Secretary lines even has her laughing at Spence's reaction after doing something to her.*
- Status Buff: Her Full Firepower skill increases her firepower for a short duration. Combined with Fletcher's supportive skills, her guns can pack quite the punch.
Kimberly (DD-521)
Voiced by: Sumire Morohoshi

- ID: No. 374Rarity: RareArtist: TwinBox"I am the Fletcher-class destroyer, Kimberly. From today onward I will be one of your subordinates. Pleased to meet you."
- Workaholic: Nearly all her lines revolve around being as efficient and capable as possible, with little regard for things beyond how well they will benefit your campaign. By increasing her affection, you get her to consider her life beyond fighting.
Mullany (DD-528)
Voiced by: Asuka Oogame

- ID: No. 375Rarity: EliteArtist: TwinBox"Hello Commander, I am Mullany of the Fletcher Class. From now on we'll be living together. I will be in your care~"
- Cordon Bleugh Chef: She has a fondness for cooking, though sometimes the things she cooks can get out of hand.
- Critical Status Buff: Her Miracle in the Flames skill grants her a period of increased evasion once per battle when her HP drops below 25%, as well as reducing the damage she takes from fire.
- Ms. Fanservice: Is quite busty & curvy for a destroyer, especially in comparison to the rest of her sisters, and her crop top & shorts show off plenty of her midsection, plus what looks suspiciously like nipples beneath.
- Nice Girl: Even when upset, she mulls over the difficulty of cooking for someone they don't like. Considering how some of her cooking comes out, it's a kind response compared to tricking someone into eating an "odd" dish.
Bush (DD-529)
Voiced by: Akane Fujita

- ID: No. 355Rarity: RareArtist: PHI"I'm Bush! Fletcher-class's Bush! I'll be staying here starting today!"
- Cheerful Child: Fits the part well with her niceness and naivete in regards to Thatcher.
- Genki Girl: Invoked in one of her friendly line before tiring out moments later, subverting it.
- Hidden Depths: She appears to be a rather talented artist for her age judging from the drawings seen in her artist skin.
- Nice Girl: Even when her affection low, she wishes for the commander to smile.
- Why Did It Have to Be Snakes?: Planes, she is seemingly terrified of them and at one point mistakes a beetle for one. Considering she was sunk by Kamikazes, it's to be expected.
Hazelwood (DD-531)
Voiced by: Akane Fujita

- ID: No. 365Rarity: RareArtist: PHI"I caught up to you! Hehe, I am Fletcher Class - Hazelwood! I'll be in your care from now on!"
- Coat Cape: Wears her coat loose and more like it is some kind of cape.
- Cuddle Bug: Actively goes out to cuddle the Commander once her affection reaches the Like level.
- Tan Lines: Has them on the bottom and top, pointing to her going sunbathing and exercising a lot in a swimsuit.
Stephen Potter (DD-538)
Voiced by: Shiori Sugiura

- ID: No. 509Rarity: EliteArtist: Shnva"Fletcher-class Stephen Potter here. You've probably met a million of my sisters already, so I'll spare you my life story. See you around."
- Gender-Blender Name: Much like Charles Ausburne, she's named after her namesake's full name, masculine first name and all.
- The Slacker: It's clear she'd rather not work
- Support Party Member: On top of buffing all carriers' damage, if put in the middle of a full frontline, she'll reduce the damage of the frontmost member, and increases damage dealt by the rearmost member.
Morrison (DD-560)
Voiced by: Namiki Sakura

- ID: No. 515Rarity: EliteArtist: Suisai"I'm the Fletcher-class destroyer, Morrison. I participated in anti-submarine warfare and rescue missions with my allies... If there's anything you want me to do... I-I should be able to do it.."
- Apologizes a Lot: In her voice lines she repeatedly stammers and apologized.
- Companion Cube: Carries around a Bearguyish bear round, which protects her.
- Historical In-Joke: She has a special line if sortied with Princeton, referencing how she often escorted the light carrier in real life. Her Emergency Beardrop skin also refers to how she was part of the team trying to put out the fires on Princeton, since it reduces burn damage to her.
- Support Party Member: Buffs the fleet's anti sub warfare stat when enemies are sunk.
Smalley (DD-565)
Voiced by: Natsume Iwasa

- ID: No. 417Rarity: RareArtist: Amoeba原虫"Destroyer Smalley, reporting in. Interests: kickboxing."
- Challenge Seeker: Clearly loves challenging herself and turns anything into training, even getting the mail.
- Jack of All Stats: Not necessarily in-game, but she mentions having done all sorts of things, from patrols over diplomacy to rescue missions.
- Kick Chick: "Interests: kickboxing."
- Shameless Fanservice Girl: Not as bad as Bache, but her Halloween skin is incredibly risque to say the least.
Aulick (DD-569)
Voiced by: Yuna Yoshino

- ID: No. 015Rarity: NormalArtist: Lino"Yaay! It's so great to meet you, Commander! Just call me Aulick! … What was that? I said Aulick! My name is Aulick!"
- Cuddle Bug: Appears to enjoy the Secretary touch quite a bit and mentions that she is "soft and squishy" while giggling. The special touch gets a much more negative reaction.
- Dub-Induced Plot Hole: The joke about being called the wrong name makes less sense in the English-version, as the reference to Oreo cookies was removed.
- Rose-Haired Sweetie: A bit literal in that she always complains about being called an Oreo cookie (in the non-English versions), though eventually comes to take it as a compliment.
- Third-Person Person: Refers to herself as Aulick, at least in the English translation.
Charles Ausburne (DD-570)
Voiced by: Satsuki Morita

- ID: No. 013Rarity: EliteArtist: Lino"Nice to meet you, Commander. I'm Ausburne, the leader of the Little Beavers. Are there any bullies here? I'll give them a taste of my retribution!"
- Art Evolution: Post-Retrofit, she, for all intents and purposes, have hit puberty with both an height increase and having aged-up from a small child to a teenage girl, with a much brighter shade of blonde to her hair in the process. Basically making her the "Big Sister" of the Fletcher-Fleet.
- Bully Hunter: Her introductory quote says it all. She often talks about fighting people who prey on the weak. This is most likely a reference to the fact that the Little Beavers did a lot of patrol and escort work, as well as going in range of Japanese shore defences during the Solomon Islands Campaign to provide fire support and suppress enemy defences for the troops on-shore.
- For Great Justice: Often refers to herself as an ally of justice. She introduces herself as a Bully Hunter.
- Gender-Blender Name: While all of the Eagle Union destroyers are named after men, most are simply named after their namesakes' last names, but Charles Ausburne is named after her namesake's full name, masculine first name and all.
- Super-Speed: Her 31-Knot Burke skill increases the speed of the entire fleet within a short duration, allowing slower fleets, such as one with two heavy, cruisers to move faster. A nod to Admiral Arleigh "31-Knot" Burke, who used Charles Ausburne as DESRON 23's flagship, and was known to keep all destroyers running at boiler-bursting speeds. Ironically, the nickname was originally an insult, the result of him not having them move at their maximum speed, which was over 34 knots, due to the USS Spence having lost a boiler due to a maintenance mishap, resulting in the squadron being limited to only 31-knots. It eventually became a compliment, referring to his aggressive naturenote .
- The Leader: Of the "Little Beavers". She's by far the most assertive, straightforward, and combative of the squad (...admittedly featuring Spence, Thatcher, and Foote with Aulick as the only other serious member).
Halsey Powell (DD-686)
Voiced by: Rika Momokawa

- ID: No. 427Rarity: RareArtist: Rain lan"There you are, Commander! Ehehe~ Huh? You've never heard of me? Jeez, I'm Halsey Powell! Don't you forget it!"
- I Just Want to Be Special: She always talks about wanting to have others' attention by doing feats, but she never reaches levels of Attention Whore.
- Sideboob: Shows a good bit of skin in her base skin.
Allen M. Sumner (DD-692)
Voiced by: Hazuki Ogino

- ID: No. 500Rarity: Super RareArtist: Nagu"I'm Eagle Union destroyer Allen M. Sumner! Just call me Allen! It's a pleasure, Commander! Anyway, I've heard you've got yummy food and cushy work here at this port. That true?"
- Anti-Air: Her stats and skills have a leaning towards shooting planes out of the sky, but unlike many examples in the game, it's not at expense of her normal offensive ability.
- Foolish Sibling, Responsible Sibling: She's the most foolish of the sisters, much to Ingraham's chagrin.
- Gender-Blender Name: A lot like Charles Ausburne, she's ended up with the whole name of her namesake (Marine Corps Captain Allen Melancthon Sumner
, killed during the battle of Belleau Wood) and needless to say Captain Sumner was, so far as we know, not a cute anime girl. She takes it in total stride, though, and in her introduction even exhorts you to just call her "Allen". - Nice Girl: Chipper and very friendly. Even at her "Disappointed" affection, she'll ask you to calm down and bring it in for a nice hug.
- No-Sell: She evades your special touch attempt, telling you should be faster.
- Robot Buddy: She has, in art, a pair of robot companions who control some of her guns and torpedoes. They're likely a reference to Allen being refitted with DASH drones
, a very early kind of anti-submarine drone aircraft, in the 1960s. For better or worse, they have no mechanical function in the game currently.
Ingraham (DD-694)
Voiced by Hiyori Kouno

- ID: No. 518Rarity: Syoer RareArtist: Nagu"I'm Ingraham, Eagle Union destroyer. Not much else to tell you, honestly... Anyhoo, good to meet you."
- Boring, but Practical: She mentions that her hairclip is just a binder clip simply because it works.
- Defrosting Ice Queen: Initially pretty aloof, but as your affinity grows, she grows closer to the Commander, even mentioning she feels lonely without the Commander, and upon "Pledge", she'll craft her own ring for the Commander.
- Fashionable Asymmetry: Wears a single thigh high stocking in her default skin.
- Foolish Sibling, Responsible Sibling: The Responsible one to Allen's Foolish, with Cooper just being a ditz instead.
- Wrench Wench: She loves to tinker with her own rigging, and also has a knack for working with miniature models.
Cooper (DD-695)
Voiced by: Miho Okasaki

- ID: No. 444Rarity: EliteArtist: Shisantian"Hey Commander, I'm Cooper! Let's join forces and fight for the future of the world! Booyah!"
- Born Unlucky: Has a 22 luck stat, reflecting her rather short shiplife, sinking less than a year from her launch.
- Ditzy Secretary: Seems to have a hard time adjusting to her new job if you set her as a Secretary, constantly doing things like misfiling reports and getting distracted by "kittens" (a.k.a. the base's meowfficers).
- Fountain of Youth: Averted. Apart from being a completely different ship class and ship type altogether, she could be easily mistaken for a younger version of Baltimore - something that has happened to ships like Belfast and Cleveland. Like Baltimore, her personality is similar to those of superheroes. They also have similar colored clothes and hair. They even have tennis skins that got debuted in the same event.
- Historical In-Joke: Her Fondness of black cats are two nods to her history, first her less than fortunate shiplife, and how Catalina seaplanes painted for night battles were called black cats.
- Mechanically Unusual Fighter: She doesn't need special gear to reveal submarines, furthermore, she can equip a Catalina seaplane and launch airstrikes, a nod to how some of her sailors were saved after she was critically damaged.
- Modesty Shorts: She appears to wear short shorts under her skirt.
- Nerd Action Hero: She instantly bonds with Reno when they realize they're both fans of super-heroes and geek out about gadgets and stuff.
Laffey II (DD-724)
Voiced by: Maria Naganawa (Japanese)

- ID: No. 615Rarity: Ultra RareArtist: Yumesaki Kaede"*yawn*... Laffey's ready, raring, and more motivated than ever... My rigging is the only thing that changed, not me... So don't touch these ears, Commander. They're not real..."
- Anti-Air: Laffey II has the highest AA stat among destroyers in the whole game and 180% AA slot efficiency (no other destroyer has such a high eficciency except Ingraham). On top of that, her Bunbun Scout skill gives her a ghost AA gun (if you equip her with any Eagle Union gear) and boosts her AA stat when Laffey II shoots down enemy aircraft.
- Born Lucky: Contrary to her original self with 18 luck stat, Laffey II has a very high luck stat of 95.
- Does This Remind You of Anything?: One of her hidden Life 2D animations for Sleepy Bunny of the Busy Day has her sit on the floor with a torpedo-shaped toy in her hands. Should you tap her, she may start sliding her hand along the toy back and forward in a very suggestive way.
- Early-Bird Cameo: Even though her existence was revealed during the Parallel Superimposition event, she was hinted as early as Allen M. Sumner's arrival herself. Sortieing Benson Laffey with Allen M. Sumner will get this line when fighting bosses.Allen M. Sumner: "Is that you, sis? Never mind, wrong Laffey!"
- Gathering Steam: Her skillset allows her to gain Motivation stacks, granting her additional firepower and increased chance for performing a radar scan, which debuffs enemies and triggers a special barrage.
- Historical In-Joke:
- When sortied along with Yorktown II, Laffey II will offer her to have a nap together. This is a nod to both being museum ships located at Patriots Point in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina.
- Her survivability skills and high AA capabilities are a reference to her legendary standout against Japanese kamikaze planes
during invasion on Okinawa.
- Leitmotif: Hop Hop

- Red Baron: The Ship That Would Not Die. Laffey II herself refrences that in post-oath Low HP line.Laffey II: ""The Ship That Would Not Die" won't go down that easy..."
- Robot Buddy: Her first skill allows her to summon two Bunbun Strikers which attack enemies.
- Sleepyhead: Laffey wouldn't be Laffey if she wasn't perpetually sleepy.
- Suspiciously Specific Denial: Also a trait she carries from her original self. Played for Laughs.Laffey II: "I came to help out... so I'll keep doing my best... I'm not thinking about slacking off with Allen... Nope, not at all..."
Bristol (DD-857)
Voiced by: Kazama Mayuko

- ID: No. 533Rarity: Super RareArtist: Nagu"The name is Bristol, Eagle Union destroyer! Well met, Commander! This port must be home to many mysteries... I will make it my duty to solve each and every one! Heheheh!"
- A Day in the Limelight: Bristol is seen in a few event stories, but is a main character in Joint Battle Mystery Investigation where she debuted during the 2022 Lunar New Year.
- Damage-Increasing Debuff: Using her lantern, Bristol illuminates enemies which applies a debuff to Evasion.
- Historical In-Joke: A few:
- She mentions an unremarkable history, due to having spent most of her wartime term in logistics ops for Task Force 38 and afterwards, training and patrols throughout Europe and East Asia.
- Her robot companion is named Data-857, sharing her hull humber.
- Her mentioning of Dragon Empery friends nods to her being loaned to the Republic of China Navy shortly after being decommissioned from USN service.
- Iconic Item: A lantern which is also used for her Evasion-debuffing skill Lights Out!
- Occult Detective: Monsters, mysteries, investigations, you name it: Bristol has a strong drive for uncovering things of an otherworldly nature. In Aquilifer's Ballade, she was investigating the green ghost phenomena.
- Robot Buddy: Data-857 is her robot companion that assists in battle with a barrage and two damage buffs: one for the Allen M. Sumner-class after the first activation and an additional damage buff for the class against enemies that were illuminated twice.
Eldridge (DE-173)
Voiced by: Nozomi Sasaki (Japanese), Hayden Daviau (English)

- ID: No. 028Rarity: Super RareArtist: tsliuyixin"Commander… Eldridge has arrived."
- Astral Projection: According to Queen's Orders, she sometimes does this involuntarily when she sleeps. It usually happens if she sleeps somewhere close to another power source.note
- Emotionless Girl: She hardly ever emotes, instead saying how she feels out loud.
- Expressive Hair: Her ahoge is sometimes used to convey emotion.
- Fragile Speedster: While technically she has slower movement speed than average destroyer (since destroyer escorts don't have high speed by design), she does have high evasion and if her skill activates, all of your escort ships can dodge all bullets fired at them.
- Idiot Hair: She has a big one, which also glows at the tip.
- Shock and Awe: She can discharge electricity from her body. This feature, along with her skill, is a reference to the Philadelphia Experiment
. - Third-Person Person: Almost always refers to herself as Eldridge. Unlike with other ships, this actually survived the English translation (except for one line).
- Verbal Tic Name: Not her, but the cat seen in her school skin is creatively named "Meow Meow" as revealed in "Sakura School Festival".
Hammann II (DE-131)
Voiced by: Asuka Itou

- ID: No. 576Rarity: EliteArtist:"Hmph. No matter what, I'm still me. Now I've told you all about Yorktown, there is nothing else you need to say. I-if you really wanna do anything for me... Err, I take that back!"
- Artistic License – Ships: The actual Edsall-class Hammann was a smaller Destroyer Escort (DE) instead of a Destoyer (DD). Like Eldridge the game classifies them both as Destroyers presumably to avoid making a whole new ship type.
- Consequentially, Hammann II has a lower movement speed of 25 like Eldridge, which is the lowest speed of all DD-type ships after the Akizuki-class (39). note
- Little Bit Beastly: Averted, as her cat ears this time are very clearly an electronic headband. Her Juustagram post shows she also keeps around a headband of her old ears, as well.
- Support Party Member: Her new Flagship Cover - Hammann combines both the original Hammann's skill and the Air Raid Assistance skill, but is unable to stack with either of for the sake of balance. Hammann II's statline also supports this role by trading direct combat attributes and efficiencies for a defensive focus, such as trading the +1 torpedo capacity for a +1 to base AA and a ghost hedgehog launcher for ASW.
- Tsundere: Being rebuilt hasn't done much to rein in her bratty personality.
Light Cruisers (CL)
Class-wide Tropes
- More Dakka: Except for Richmond, all of them have the "Quick Reload" skill that gives a chance to lower reload time. However, they're the only Eagle light cruiser family besides the Atlanta class to have torpedoes.
- Older Than They Look: The Omaha class were the oldest class of cruisers still in service with the United States Navy at the outbreak of World War 2, being built post World War One. You would not know this by looking at any of these ships however as none of them reflect this age in game.
Omaha (CL-4)
Voiced by: Juri Kimura

- ID: No. 029Rarity: NormalArtist:"Omaha-class cruiser —— Omaha! Greetings, Commander~ You could say I’m the elder of the fleet, hoho~ Shoudn’t you give me something as a gift for our first meeting?"
- Weight Woe: Many of her lines express concern about her figure, arising from the many refits the original ship experienced.
Milwaukee (CL-5)
Appears in the game as Murmansk, her new name after being transferred to the Soviet navy. For tropes related to her, please see Azur Lane North Union.
Raleigh (CL-7)
Voiced by: Juri Kimura

- ID: No. 030Rarity: NormalArtist:"I’m the Omaha-class light cruiser Raleigh, please sign here on this contract……from now on, I’ll be relying on you, Commander."
- Sensei-chan: Despite her youthful appearance many of her lines make reference to doing training.
Richmond (CL-9)
Voiced by: Riko Kohara

- ID: No. 303Rarity: NormalArtist: MayaG"Hi, are you the Commander? Aha, that's great - I'm Richmond, please look after me."
- Catgirl: Wears a pair of headphones with fake cat ears on them.
- Support Party Member: Instead of "Quick Reload", she has "Artillery Command - Cruiser" that increases the damage of all cruisers.
Concord (CL-10)
Voiced by: Kana Yuuki

- ID: No. 366Rarity: RareArtist: oouso"Light cruiser Concord, reporting in. Do I like lollipops and ice cream-- huh? Does the Commander always like to gaze at people's feet? Hehe."
- Animation Bump: One of the first few ships to have multiple expressions in her splash art, and she has them for both her base skin and her festival skin.
- Catgirl: Like Richmond, she wears a pair of cat ear headphones. While she takes them off for her festival skin, she does still have them with her.
- Cordon Bleugh Chef: Her personal quest culminates in attempting to avert this. In part six, she can cook, but her food is neither appealing looking nor well-balanced in flavor—she always puts too much sugar.
- Exotic Eye Designs: Star-shaped pupils.
- Girlish Pigtails: Her hair emphasizes her childish love of sweets.
- Gyaru Girl: Of the Kogal variety, though more on the mild side.
- Oral Fixation: Always seen licking something.
- Sweet Tooth: Always has some kind of sugary foodstuff on her, and frequently talks about sweets.
Marblehead (CL-12)
Voiced by: Larissa Tago Takeda

- ID: No. 448Rarity: RareArtist: SilverRoid"Sup. Name's Marblehead. Are you the Commander? Ahah☆ I dig your style. Hehehe, let's hang out sometime!"
- Book Dumb: Memphis's school girl skin shows Marblehead trying to sleep at her desk.
- Gyaru Girl: She appears to be a mix of both Kogal and Ganguro type with a lighter skin than what you'd normally associate with ganguro, but darker than her original skin tone as seen in her old photo ID that is attached to her jacket. And pre-oath, she very much acts the part.
- Has a Type: Tells the Commander that she has a thing for overachievers.
- Hidden Depths: Despite her appearance and her attitude, she shows herself to be quite perceptive in combat. She also enjoys baking. It's best seen post oath where her lines involve wanting to see a Museum. An artwork by her artist
even has her imagining herself, pre-image change in a traditional wedding dress.- If defeated, she vows to figure out why her side was defeated.
- The Tease: Enjoys teasing the Commander by asking if he's into her, but still calls them a creep if they try the special touch while she's a secretary.
- Those Two Girls: She and Memphis often appear in each other's skins.
Memphis (CL-13)
Voiced by: Hekiru Shiina

- ID: No. 360Rarity: RareArtist: SilverRoid"I am Omaha-class light cruiser Memphis. Many esteemed individuals have been aboard me and I've served as the flagship of the US Naval Forces in Europe… You should etch my past service into your memory."
- Fanservice Pack: Her Halloween skin shows her with a noticeably larger bust compared to her regular and casual skins. This was actually foreshadowed with this artwork by her artist
with a similar if not bigger upgrade. - Girl Friday: This is her role in story cutscenes, as she's the Commander's secretary.
- Hot Witch: Her Halloween skin leaves very little of her bust to the imagination, rather surprising as her normal skin and casual skin are rather conservative.
- Hyper-Competent Sidekick: As secretaries/assistants to the Commander, she and Helena have this role in story episodes.
- Insufferable Genius: She's got shades of this on account of her storied history as an escort ship, telling you to keep up with her, and she does prove it as a dutiful secretary and in-story.
- When the Commander engages her in a mock battle in Parallel Superimposition, she turns out to have a knack for being The Strategist, being able to direct a huge mass-produced ship fleet without fail while anticipating many of the Commander's moves; it took the Commander using himself as bait to win, predicting her luring his shipgirls away with a reserve fleet to let her personally come out of her submarine flagship to take his flagship—but leaving it vulnerable to a pre-planned air bombing by Yorktown. Despite how close she came to winning, she admits the Commander was her better. It's revealed that it was actually her META self, but that Memphis was her base form at least shows her potential.
- Proud Beauty: Oh, does she know the Commander likes it.Affinity (Friendly): "Who can blame you for being so captivated by me? Very well, I'll allow you to gawk a bit longer."
- Talented, but Trained: To the point of sounding like The Perfectionist—she toots her own horn a lot, but that doesn't mean she rests on her laurels. Setting her as your secretary has her competently do her duties, chiding you to finish your missions, as well as her idle lines mentioning having a "hectic schedule" and dazzling everyone with her performance in Naval Reviews.
- This Cannot Be!: Her defeat line:"To think that I would lose... how unsightly!"
- Those Two Girls: She and Marblehead often appear in each other's skins.
Class-wide Tropes
- Jack of All Stats: Overall, they all have a balanced stat distribution for a Rare light cruiser — average HP, evasion, and anti-air defensively, but a high amount of Firepower (the tie-highest for a Rare CL, equaling the Glass Cannon Achilles and Ajax cruisers) to make use of their trade-off of a secondary gun mount instead of a torpedo slot. All three sisters have a way of buffing their Firepower through their singular but different skill — Brookyln's support skill, Phoenix's defensive one, and Honolulu's purely offensive one.
Brooklyn (CL-40)
Voiced by: Lynn

- ID: No. 031Rarity: RareArtist: realmbw"I'm Brooklyn. Commander, I'm an elite cruiser so leave the foreign affairs to me."
- Being Personal Isn't Professional: Subscribes to this. Once she hits maximum affection, she notes that she may not be suited to act as the entire fleet's diplomat, as she wishes to fight only for you.
- Gunboat Diplomacy: Essentially qualifies as a personification of this, herself being both a gunboat and a diplomat. Though she never quotes the line directly, she certainly takes "Speak softly and carry a big stick" to heart.
- Support Party Member: Her main skill increases the damage dealt by all cruisers in the party.
- Sexy Secretary: Despite her looks, she's very serious about her position as secretary ship, a nod to being a diplomatic ship. This has caused her to be given glasses in various pieces of fanart to complete the look. However, if touched inappropriately, she will complain that a diplomat is different from a secretary.
Phoenix (CL-46)
Voiced by: Lynn

- ID: No. 032Rarity: RareArtist: realmbw"Are you the Commander? I'm Phoenix. That's right, the legendary Phoenix! Do you have what it takes to lead me?"
- Blood Knight: She is always looking for strong opponents.
- Born Lucky: Her Luck stat of 88 reflects her unusually fortunate wartime service record — despite serving in some of the hottest war zones of the Pacific Theater (including the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor and the recapture of the Philippines) her crew only suffered one fatality from enemy fire. She was one of the longest-lived Brooklyn-class cruisers, too, surviving to 1982. She was sunk by a British submarine, HMS Conqueror (she had been sold to the Argentinian navy and was sunk as the ARA General Belgrano in the Falklands war).
- Fiery Redhead: Flaming red hair, and very Hot-Blooded.
- Genki Girl: Whether it is battle or in the dorm, she is always excitable.
- Last Chance Hit Point: Once per battle, her main skill heals her and briefly boosts her damage output when her HP drops to 20%
- Shout-Out: Is a fountain of Mobile Fighter G Gundam references.Phoenix (Low HP): "My hand is calling out to seize victory!"
Honolulu (CL-48)
Voiced by: Yōko Hikasa

- ID: No. 304Rarity: RareArtist: Yunsang"Honolulu, Brooklyn-class cruiser, reporting in. Hey, could you please stop staring? I-it's not like my breasts are big just because I want them to be…"
- Boob-Based Gag: In episode 12 of the Bisoku Zenshin animated adaptation, Honolulu was one of the girls who was forced to let a sleepwalking Laffey use her breasts as a pillow. Honolulu was not happy with having to do this.
- Covert Pervert:
- While it seems like her fanservice is all the result of the universe conspiring to embarrass her as much as possible, a closer inspection reveals that Honolulu is not completely free of fault. The most damning evidence is her Christmas skin, in which she mentions "special Christmas lingerie" note and being very reluctant to explain to the Commander just what she was planning to do with those ribbons while partially undressed...
- She (eventually) doesn't get mad if the Commander gropes her chest (highly unusual for a tsundere) and even comes to like having big breasts upon realizing the Commander might like them big. Her swimsuit of choice is a pretty bold black bikini (similar to what the les restrained Zara wears). Upon marriage she tells the Commander he can do whatever he wants to her when they're alone.
- D-Cup Distress: Right in the introduction. She's actually quite insecure about them; since everyone is always admiring them or being jealous of them, she sometimes feels they are more important than who she is as a person, and that they are the only attractive thing about her.
- As her affection increases, she doesn't mind them as much, mainly because the Commander likes them.
- Besides the social insecurity, she also complains about shoulder pain during "Sakura School Festival".
- Does This Remind You of Anything?: Her summer skin is basically a reference to paizuri, except with a water hose.
- Foil:
- To St. Louis. St. Louis is blue-themed, while Honolulu is red-themed, and in an inversion of Red Oni, Blue Oni, St. Lou is a friendly and outgoing woman, while Honolulu is shy and reserved. St. Louis doesn't have any problem with her body figure, while it is a major concern for Honolulu, unless her affection for her Commander is high enough.
- To a degree, she is one to Zara. Both are red-haired, both are designed by the same artist, both have great body figures. However, Zara is a tanky heavy cruiser, and Honolulu is a bit of DPM light cruiser due to her skills. Zara, just like St. Louis, has no problem with her body figure, is quite confident in herself and is friendly towards Command. The opposite is true for Honolulu.
- Girls Love Stuffed Animals: In her school skin, she has a teddy bear. In "Sakura School Festival", she talks to "Teddy" and is embarrassed when the Commander discovers its existence. The commander also gifts her one in her personal story.
- Jerk with a Heart of Gold:
- Despite her somewhat prickly personality, she will sometimes remark about how Helena always looks so sad, and tell the Commander that they should try to make her laugh. Both ships took part in the Battle of Kula Gulf, where the USS Helena sunk, and survivors from the Helena's crew were transferred to the Honolulu.
- She also repeatedly assures the Commander that she doesn't hate them, and takes offence at the notion that she can't be nice.
- Her festival skin has her openly enjoy her time with the Commander, and attempt to win a goldfish to give to Helena.
- Reluctant Fanservice Girl: Most of her skins are of this nature as the fanservice is at her expense, and she frequently tells the commander to turn away while wearing them. And in the remarks of her school outfit has her choosing a spot so no one stares at her.
- Tsundere: Played With. She claims she was born with that attitude. Ironically, despite being a Reluctant Fanservice Girl, she doesn't actually get mad if the Commander touches her breasts, simply because they're being so direct she doesn't even feel like getting angry. She has numerous lines where she makes it clear that she doesn't hate the Commander, and no lines where she says anything like the stereotypical "It's not like I like you", and both her mail line and her Return to Port line have her do or say nice things to the Commander, only to get upset that he's surprised she can be nice (which is completely understandable). Her introduction tweet on the JP twitter brings up a "Sasebo personality" (Gets prickly when in awkward situations), that may describe her better.
Boise (CL-47)
Voiced by: Yū Sasahara

- ID: No. 514Rarity: EliteArtist: 羽織イオ"Huff... Puff... I'm Boise of the Brooklyn class... Umm... Is there something I can help you with?"
- Animal Motifs: Sports fake bunny ears on her head, similarly to another ship from the same event, New Jersey. She does say herself that they're supposed to be antennas, however.
- Cool Mask: Subverted, in that Boise absolutely does not think of herself as cool, and wears the mask due to social anxiety. She definitely has the actions and ability to count as cool, though.
-
Creepy Cute: Her 2021 Halloween skin has this in spades. You wouldn't think it possible for a witch wearing a plague doctor's mask to look cute, but Boise pulls it off - No Mouth: Possibly her defining feature is the gas mask covering her nose and mouth, considering going without covering the bottom of her face to be extremely stressful. Even in her skin without her mask, she covers her mouth with her hair.
- Playboy Bunny: Her Sheepish Sapphire skin is this.
- Red Oni, Blue Oni: Some of her secretary lines indicate she feels this way with her sister Phoenix. Design and attitude wise, it makes sense, with Phoenix being a Hot-Blooded Fiery Redhead, while Boise is a blue-haired Shrinking Violet whose design invokes Making a Splash (with her scuba attire and all).
- Shout-Out: Her secretary questline title is called "Me and the Boise".
- Vader Breath: Played with. It's obvious that she's in no way evil, considering she's a playable character, and quite a cute one at that. It is true, though, that the combination of a gas mask covering her mouth and the quite noisy deep breaths she takes in some of her lines can be a bit unsettling.
A class of ships that are practically a subclass of the Brooklyn Class, thus they share many similarities.
Class-wide Tropes
- Strong Family Resemblance: The two resemble each other quite a lot, especially when you compare them to their Brooklyn-class sisters and Wichitanote .
St. Louis (CL-49)
Voiced by: Yōko Hikasa

- ID: No. 305Rarity: EliteArtist: Yunsang"Hello, I'm St. Louis. People used to call me Lucky Lou. Don't you think this is your lucky day, finding me like this, Commander?♪"
- Anti-Air: Her anti-air stat is exceptional, like most USN cruisers. One of her skills increases her anti-air stat at the cost of her firepower, which can be mitigated if her Lucky Lou skill is also activated.
- Badass Boast: Boasting that her luck is second to none (only when her HP is low). A bit ironically in-game, as her luck stat is just above-average at 65, not sky-high like Enterprise or Yukikaze. This makes her a lot tankier than her little sister Helena, but not to the point of Cleveland-class or Belfast. Still, coupled with her skill, it is more than enough to ensure that she will not only be able to deal damage reliably, but she will also have enough sustainability to dish out her firepower.
- Breaking the Fourth Wall: A special chapter of the Slow Ahead has her selling Official dakimakuras of herself and others at YoStar's booth at Comiket, much to Unicorn's chagrin, given she's one of the subjects of such merchandise.
- Cool Big Sis: To Helena. It is unknown, however, how much Helena acknowledges this (her younger self idolizes her). Still, as an older sister, Louis does care and worry about Helena's well-being. In one instance when her affection towards you reach "Upset", she will tell you to at least spare Helena.
- Helena reveals that she also taught Helena to dance, and had a lot of fun dressing Helena up for her New Years skin. She also says St.Louis has repeatedly commented on how much Helena had grown following her retrofit, which Helena finds embarrassing.
- Cool Car: A Mclaren P1 in her Luxurious Wheels skin.
- Cute Little Fangs: She shows her fangs in her chibi form when bathing or "dancing" on stage furniture.
- Fanservice Pack: Played with since St. Louis is already one of the most attractive shipgirls, but her "Luxurious Wheels" skin, in addition to placing lots of emphasis on her looks (especially her legs), ups her already sizable bust to something close to Taihou/Musashi levels.
- Foil: To Honolulu. St. Louis is blue-themed, while Honolulu is red-themed, and in a visual inversion of Red Oni, Blue Oni, St. Louis is a friendly and outgoing woman, while Honolulu is shy and reserved. St. Louis doesn't have any problem with her body figure, while it is a major concern for Honolulu, unless her affection for her Commander is high enough.
- Form-Fitting Wardrobe: Her normal skin is shaped in a way that emphasizes her hourglass figure, ending at her thighs. Because of her figure, said uniform even has ripples in it!
- Leaning on the Fourth Wall: Downplayed, but her acquisition line makes a remark about being lucky. The player would have to be lucky to land her as she's either in light construction (which is crowded with ships of her rather high rarity) or a drop in 10-3.
- Leg Focus:
- Her normal outfit's thigh-highs cause skin the flesh on her thighs to bulge out, drawing some attention to her long legs.
- Her Luxurious Wheels skin places a lot more emphasis on her (now bare) legs. The developers also made one of the loading screens
◊ St. Louis in her Luxurious Wheels skin sitting and posing in a way to highlight them.
- Lightning Bruiser: If her skill "Lucky Lou" is activated, she is this, as her skill greatly increased both her evasion and firepower at the same time.
- Malaproper: One of her secretary lines has her reminding the Commander that "the feud chair is unpredictable", possibly meaning the Fed(eral) Reserve chair, as her namesake is home to the headquarters of the 8th Federal Reserve District. And, of course, a joke on the saying "the future is unpredictable".
- Ms. Fanservice: One of the game's foremost ones. St. Louis is a very shapely woman, and her uniform and thigh-highs clad in a way that emphasizes her entire body, with hip vents that tease her panties to boot. The rest of her skins also emphasize her curves, and she even teases nip slips and panty shots in her Live 2D skins. And all of that is not helped by her being The Tease and having a flirtatious, sultry voice...
- Nice Girl: Her teasy attitude clouds it, but St. Louis is still a very kind woman. She loves and cares much her little sister, is quite nice towards the commander and others, and tries to encourage Arizona to not let what happened at Pearl Harbor wear her down.
- Red Baron: Lucky Lou, which is the name of one of her skills, which buffs various stats.
- Shameless Fanservice Girl: She isn't shy about her looks, and her reaction to being inappropriately touched is being mildly upset that it was done in public. Honolulu even calls her "Bold".
- Stance System: Her Anti-Air Mode, which increases her AA stats at the cost of her firepower, although this is somewhat negated by her Lucky Lou skill, which has a chance to increase her firepower.
- The Tease: Just read and/or listen to her lines in her most revealing skins. Her An Afternoon on the Lido Deck takes this to its Logical Extreme, even moving her hands up and down an alcohol bottle in an obviously suggestive way.
Helena (CL-50)
Voiced by: Tomoyo Chuujou (Japanese), Samantha Herek (English), Georgina Sánchez (Latin American Spanish)

- ID: No. 033Rarity: EliteArtist: realmbw"Nice to meet you Commander. I'm Helena. My strong suit is enemy reconnaissance. Please... guide us towards victory."
- Cool Big Sis: To a number of destroyers, particularly those that served along side her. Laffey is one example, as shown in some promotional material.
- Companion Cube: Plenty of her lines have her referring to her SG radar set as if it were alive.
- Girl Friday: Shares this role with Memphis in story missions.
- Grew a Spine: Her initial reaction to being groped is to say that, if it makes the commander happy, she's fine with it. Her New Year skin has her nervously ask the Commander not to, her Party skin has her be startled and accidentally step on the Commander's foot, and her retrofit has her, with complete confidence, tell the Commander he can't go around doing stuff like that.
- Hyper-Competent Sidekick: She and Memphis are the Commander's aides in the story segments of the game, and the Commander regards them as fulfilling this role.
- Please, Don't Leave Me: Her defeat line, which is a reference to her fate as USS Nicholas and USS Radford had to abandon the rescue operation of her crew, after sinking at Kula Gulf, in order to pursue the enemy.note
- Shell-Shocked Veteran: The main reason she's always sad and quiet is due to having taken part in some of the worst battles of the Pacific War, including Pearl Harbour, the Guadalcanal Campaign, and Kula Gulf. Combined with the fate of her crew, it's taken a bit of a toll on her mental health.
- Supreme Chef: Appears to be this.
- One of Honolulu's lines for her school skin has her ask if the Commander wants to eat lunch with her because he likes her, or because he really just wants to eat the food Helena made for her, while Cleveland asks if the Commander wants some of Helena's pumpkin pie in her Halloween skin.
- One loading screen has her prepare some cake for Laffey.
- Target Spotter: Her Radar Scan skill gives a Damage-Increasing Debuff on all enemies on the screen.note
- In the anime, it doesn't debuff, but it does let her know if enemies are nearby.
- Third-Person Person: Downplayed. While completely absent in her base skin, her other three skins have her refer to herself as Helena, or say things like "You did a great job, me", especially in her victory quotes. However, most of her other lines are in first person in all of her skins.
- Took a Level in Cheerfulness: Her New Year skin has some lines of her being notably more cheerful than before. Her Party Skin takes this to its max, with the help of the Commander and her friends, all of her original sadness has been wiped out and replaced with genuine happiness. By the time of her retrofit, she's even talking about how she feels people would be happier if they lived in the present, rather than worrying about the future. All three of her skins even have her encourage herself if she loses, as opposed to begging others not to abandon her like she does in her normal skin.
Lena/Little Helena
Voiced by: Tomoyo Chuujou

- ID: No. 390Rarity: EliteArtist: Alisa"How should I do my hair today~? Huh? Wh-who are you? Why are you in my room? Huh? This isn't my room...? Eh? Ehhhh...?!"
A younger version of Helena added by complete surprise in June 2019.
- Big Sister Worship: Her admiration of St. Louis is clear in her lines and her desire to be a lady just like her.
- The Cutie: Despite her Shrinking Violet tendencies, several of her lines revolve around her cuteness.
- Head Pet: Has a Manjuu sleeping on her head, both in her character art and her chibi form.
- Shrinking Violet: It's clear she's a rather shy sort from lines like her introduction line.
- Ship Tease: To Clevelad, possibly to mirror increasing amount of Ship Tease between Helena and Cleveland. The English version of her line has her going even a bit Tsundere-ish when asking about Clevelad.
- Support Party Member: Her Youthful Light skill can debuff a number of enemy stats.
Class-wide Tropes
- Crippling Overspecialization: The entire class is very good at swatting planes out of the air at the cost of having low firepower and torpedo, despite being some of the rare few torpedo cruisers from the Eagle Union.
- Stance System: Like their cousins in the Cleveland-class, Atlanta and Juneau possess the Anti-Air Mode skill, which sharply increases their own Anti-Air stat at the cost of lowering their Firepower for a short duration. Since they already have high anti-air stats and low firepower note , this lends to their overspecialization.
- Support Party Member: Atlanta and San Diego have skills that buff friendly ships' anti-air; Atlanta's affects only cruisers passively, while Sandy's affects the entire fleet for a limited time when its chance to activate occurs. Juneau trades in an anti-air buff for a sacrificial heal when she's sunk.
- Tomboy and Girly Girl: The Girly Girl to the Cleveland-class ships' Tomboy.
Atlanta (CL-51)
Voiced by: Kazusa Aranami

- ID: No. 034Rarity: RareArtist: Yumesaki Kaede"I'm the anti-aircraft cruiser Atlanta. Kept you waiting, huh, Commander? But from now on, you can rest easy and let me handle everything!"
- Cool Big Sis: Tries to be one to the Commander (emphasis on TRIES). She is more successful in being one to her little sisters, even giving her share of any mission rewards to them.
- Zigzagged in The Solomon Ranger event, where she tells Portland that one of her little sisters is a dork (San Diego, who is a dork) and the other is a crybaby (Juneau, who hasn't been sunk yet). However, she does admit that she does think they're cute, and while she does somewhat like being away from San Diego, because it means she's able to hear herself think for once, she admits that she prefers to be with them, though she is nowhere near as obsessed with them as Portland is with Indy.
- If sortied together, San Juan will actually call her out for trying so hard to be one and putting too much emphasis on being a big sister.
- Little Big Sister: The oldest of her class, but smaller than San Diego in certain areas. She is aware and not exactly happy to be reminded of it.
- Ludicrous Precision: During The Solomon Ranger event, she states that Portland has stared at Indy's photo 105 times and sighed 115 times since they started the mission.
Juneau (CL-52)
Voiced by: Juri Kimura

- ID: No. 035Rarity: RareArtist: Yumesaki Kaede"I-I'm Juneau... I'm a cruiser... I'm scared of pain... *Sob* And I'm scared of you, Commander...!"
The personification of the light cruiser Juneau. The most timid of the sisters.
- Cowardly Lion: In the Ashen Simulacrum event, despite her crying out of fear when faced with the Sirens, she refuses to back down from a fight against Purifier, and even manages to score the winning shots on her. This trait of hers becomes more pronounced with her retrofit.
- Hates Being Alone: Likes to sleep in with the commander as a way to cope with her nightmares.
- Heroic Sacrifice: In a sense as she has a skill (War Martyr) that heals everyone else upon her defeat in battle.
- Let's Get Dangerous!: In Ashen Simulacrum, not only does she hold the line against Purifier, she's the one who cripples and forces the Siren to retreat.
- Love Redeems: Pledging her helps her come to terms with the loss of her crew and the trauma around it.
- Past Experience Nightmare: Has a recurring nightmare involving five shadowy figures.note Fortunately for her, this dream will change as you build her affection, until she can see who they are and that they're all brothers, which instead makes her sad. But if the commander pledges her, she'll see them one last time where they offer their congratulations.
- Prone to Tears: Gives Spence a run for her money as the most scared Eagle Union ship. Given the events around her sinking, it's no wonder. note
- However, during The Solomon Ranger, which recreates the Battle of the Eastern Solomons
which took place about three months before Juneau was sunk, Atlanta refers to her as a crybaby, meaning that she may have already been like this to some degree before her sinking, though the sinking obviously made it far worse.
- However, during The Solomon Ranger, which recreates the Battle of the Eastern Solomons
- Shell-Shocked Veteran: As mentioned in the Prone to Tears notes, she has some serious trauma due to the circumstances of her sinking, probably even beating Yorktown. note
- Shout-Out: Definitely does not look like Ilyasviel von Einzbern.
- Took a Level in Cheerfulness: After her retrofit, she becomes less timid and more friendly toward the Commander, and is more willing to look for ways to help out. She's also more proactive about going out on missions, though still expresses relief at the end of battles. This is reinforced in her party skin, where she actually smiles and is decently cheerful and friendly, enjoying her time on a date with the Commander.
San Diego (CL-53)
Voiced by: Asuka Itou (Japanese), Bryn Apprill (English), Gaby Ugarte (Latin American Spanish)

- ID: No. 036Rarity: Super RareArtist: Yumesaki Kaede"Hello, I'm San Diego! I'm the cruiser who received the most stars in the Second World War! (Giggles), self intro done!! I'm great, aren't I!"
The personification of the light cruiser San Diego. Easily the most popular of the three Atlanta sisters both in-gamenote and in real lifenote .
- Ace Custom: On remodel her normal barrage goes from "Full Barrage - Atlanta class II" to "Barrage - San Diego", replacing the shots with stars with slight homing and raises the shot requirement to 16 (this is to account for the significantly increased volume of fire she'll have)
- Annoying Younger Sibling: While Atlanta does prefer to be with her sisters, she also likes being able to hear herself think, which she can't do when Sandy's constantly orbiting around her.
- Ascended Meme:
- Her memetic status was actually recognized by the devs who made a video with a legion of her clones complete with a stage with her copies of back up dancers. That same stage was given to players in the mail so they too can give any shipgirl a legion of San Diego back up dancers when put on the front of it.
- The English version's third server is aptly named Sandy, although other versions have servers using her full name.
- The sheer amount of
Memetic Mutation around her led the devs to give her a remodel, making her the first ever playable ship beyond SSR rarity - Ultra Rare.
- Butt-Monkey: In the anime, she is this, with terrible luck at every turn. However, it has been a bit nice to her from Episode 4, and even gave her a genuine battle moment alongside Helena, who was also easily taken out in her first appearance.
- Com Mons: She's the SSR Com Mon of construction pool. This, combining with her Idol Singer status, makes her very comparable to KanColle 's Naka, and shares the same timer (1:10:00) and VA as Girls' Frontline 's IDW (but shares it with no highly desired units unlike said Catgun). She is generally received better due to her high medal value (and after her remodel, her effectiveness as a unit). And if you plan on going for said remodel, you'll need a lot of her — four extra copies for limit breaks, and three extra copies for the retrofit process. note
- Crippling Overspecialization
- Has the highest Anti-Air stat in the game, and her I Am No. 1! skill increases the party's Anti-Air stat, which means she can increase her own even further, all at the cost of terrible stats in all other attacking areas. This is in a game where plane nodes are rare up to the last few levels, and even then other ships can also swat planes out of the air without sacrificing firepower and torpedo.
- Her post-remodel Song of the Stars skill increases her Anti-Air stat even further, but also has a high chance (capped at 100%) to fire a barrage of star-shaped ammo on the screen. This ends up subverting the trope since her remodel raises her firepower stat so that it's only outdone by certain other refitted ships.
- Cute, but Cacophonic: While she is definitely cute, her singing is so terrible that it knocks Gridley out, and Atlanta comments that one of the benefits of being deployed away from Sandy is that she can finally hear herself think.
- The Ditz: She is not the brightest bulb in the pack; an example would be the Christmas skin having her be unaware of how she was wrapping herself in microphone cord. Her biography reveals that she has no idea what stars are... or America, despite the Commander knowing what it is (in fairness to her, this is actually reference to a Chinese meme and company with over-the-top commercials).
- Dreadful Musician: Despite her aspirations, she is such a horrible singer that Gridley outright faints from her attempts in "The Holy Night of Love and Peace" mini-event.
- Everyone Has Standards: Even her dimness doesn't diminish her dislike of the Commander should you upset her:"Don't come any closer, Commander! Stupidity is contagious!"
- Idol Singer: One of the most glaring examples.
- Leitmotif: I Am No. 1!
, befitting her status as the game's Joke Character (who turns into an outright Lethal Joke Character post remodel). - Lost in Translation: The joke about her not knowing what America is. In the English and Japanese versions, it seems like it's just her being a ditz. In the original Chinese version, it's a reference to a Chinese company called American Shengdiyage, known in China for a
hilariously over-the-top commercial for a brand of fertilizer, which San Diego's chibi will occasionally pull out a package of while in the Dorm. Shengdiyage is the Chinese name for San Diego, both the ship and the citynote . - Magikarp Power: It can't be emphasized enough how mediocre she is for an alleged Super Rare ship due to her Crippling Overspecialization before her retrofit; her only argued use was on the very small number of extremely plane-heavy maps, and even then there's other ships with more well-rounded stats so she wasn't a first-choice for most players. After her retrofit, she becomes one of the strongest light cruisers in the entire game for general usage in addition to vaporizing planes. Among Anti-Air Light Cruisers, it takes the release of Seattle (a prototype ship) to have a ship comparable to her post-refit self.
- More Dakka: Post-refit the combination of being able to use Destroyer guns, having an additional main gun mount, and a high reload stat make for a lot of shots coming from her. And this is before her two barrages come into play.
San Juan (CL-54)
Voiced by: Yuki Shion

- ID: No. 404Rarity: RareArtist:"I am San Juan, Atlanta-class anti-aircraft cruiser number four. I've served as a support unit for the Eagle Union's carrier fleets. You seem like a person up to your ears in work, Commander... so I now offer to support you!"
- Bilingual Bonus: Being the boat that represents Puerto Rico, her English lines are sprinkled with some Spanish, as Boricuas often do, including her special touch line, where she tells you to keep your hands to yourself in Spanish. However, these lines where eventually removed, and now her lines are only in English.
- Nice Girl: While she can be strict at times, she's extremely supportive of the Commander, doing her best to help them with their work and keep them on track. If the fleet she's in is defeated, she tells the others to retreat while she stays behind to cover them. And while she's critical of San Diego and Atlanta's tendencies, her line with Juneau has her kindly supporting her little sister.
- Only Sane Man: Is the most normal of the sisters seen thus far, though it causes her to worry about standing out. She's quick to address her sisters' quirks if in the same fleet with them, and worries that they may be causing the commander trouble.
- Support Party Member: Her Air Navigation warning skill has a chance of boosting the anti-air stat of all eagle union ships in the fleet.
Li'l Sandy/Little San Diego
Voiced by: Asuka Itou

- ID: No. 392Rarity: EliteArtist:"San Diego, making her shining debut! She shoots, she scores~ Yaay! Hehe, only a genius like me could come up with a one-of-a-kind intro like that!"
The second surprise Eagle Union "child" ship released in June 2019. She aspires to be an idol.
- Big Sister Worship: Maybe not worship level, but if she sorties with Atlanta, she will insist on getting attention from her.
- The Ditz: More so than regular Sandy as she'd wonder what to do next after asking.
- I Hate Past Me: Inverted on both counts; when with her older self, she calls them both the strongest.
Reno (CL-96)
Voiced by: Meiko Kawasaki

- ID: No. 445Rarity: Super RareArtist: Pandea"You're the Commander? Ahh, I've always wanted to meet you! I mean, aren't people like you basically heroes trying to save the world? Which kind of makes me your sidekick, right? Oh, I'm Reno, part of the Oakland class! It's a pleasure!"
- Ascended Fangirl: A fan of superhero comics who absolutely Jumped at the Call when given the opportunity to fight against the Sirens.
- Balance Buff: The December 22, 2020 patch significantly improved her skills - Vigilant Supporter had its crit rate buff when in a fleet with a CV/L increased from 15% to 35%, its damage to enemy destroyers and light cruisers per CV/L in the same fleet boosted from 6% to 10%, and its 10% damage reduction for CV/Ls in the same fleet extened from the first 2 battles to the first 4. Meanwhile, Reno Reactor was changed to proc ever second time the main fleet takes damage instead of every third. She also got a 5% Boost to both Main Gun and Torpedo efficiencies.
- Bland-Name Product: According to her, her gadgets include an "Ibranium shield", a "Chiropterang", and a "Worpher Belt".
- D-Cup Distress:
- One of her lines refers to "huge things" getting in the way of her dreams and her envy of the flat girls. Her Special Touch reiterates their getting in the way.
- Her "Summer Spin-off" skin has an idle line complaining about others playing in a volleyball tournament, what with her breasts making it hard to move around.
- Hero-Worshipper: Her acquisition line has her greet the Commander enthusiastically as her hero.
- Kid Sidekick: Invoked; she has a youthful appearance and boundless enthusiasm, and she explicitly calls herself the Commander's sidekick in her introductory lines.
- Science Hero: She builds her own superhero gadgets, which she can't wait to show off to the Commander in her Stranger line.
- Shout-Out: Almost everything about her, from her Tricked-Out Gloves to the names of her skills to most of her lines reference Marvel superheroes.
- Underboobs: Subtly visible through her translucent top.
Class-wide Tropes
- Boring, but Practical: While their skills aren't really flashy or amazing, their very solid statlines make them very dependable frontliners.
- Foil: To the Atlanta-class light cruisers. They're gun light cruisers with very well rounded stats with very few weaknesses. The Atlanta-class are torpedo light cruisers who heavily focus in anti-air at the cost of their other offensive stats.
- Massive Numbered Siblings: Though their numbers don't quite reach the same dizzying heights as the Fletcher-class destroyers, the Cleveland-class is rather large for a family of cruisers, with 27 total members (of which six unique ships are represented in game thus far).
- Stance System: The Cleveland-class ships possess the Anti-Air Mode skill, which sharply increases their own Anti-Air stat at the cost of lowering their Firepower for a short duration, a drawback which can be mitigated or negated completely by their other skills or that of their allies as well as leveling the skill.
Cleveland (CL-55)
Voiced by: Saya Horigome (Japanese), Kristen McGuire (English), Xóchitl Ugarte (Latin American Spanish)

- ID: No. 037Rarity: EliteArtist: Hao"Pleasure meeting you, Commander! I'm Cleveland, a knight of the sea! Come on, time is money! We can't afford to take a break!"
The personification of the light cruiser USS Cleveland
- Ascended Meme: Her "Clevedad" fan nickname from Asian World of Warships has become one in the game.
- Badass Cape: She's a highly skilled kansen, leader of the Knights of the Sea, and wears a white cape on her regular skin, and a black one on her Halloween skin.
- Bifauxnen: In addition to her usual tomboyish charm, her Gentry Knight skin really leans into this.
- Canine Companion: Gains a pet dog named Knight in her Gentry Knight skin.
- Cool Big Sis: As far as her sisters are concerned, she's very much this. Montpelier takes it a bit further as seen below. If paired with Fletcher or Z1, she will comment on them sharing this status with her for their classes/ship types. However, this is downplayed with Biloxi, who respects her and views her as a sister, but not an older sister, with one of Biloxi's lines having her be confused over who the Commander is talking about when they mention an older sister.
- Cool Shades: Will sport the "Deal With It" shades upon victory.
- Covert Pervert: Downplayed, but her main objection to the commander groping her is that they shouldn't do it in public. She also welcomes the commander back from sorties by offering him a massage.
- Embarrassing Nickname: The commander himself calls her "Clevebro" if she's set as secretary, much to her chagrin. She also hates being called "Clevedad".
- Even the Girls Want Her: During the anniversary, Helena mentions a rumor going around that "[Cleveland] can wrap any girl around [her] little finger", implying that many of the other shipgirls are attracted to her. There's also Ship Tease between Helena and her.
- Grin of Audacity: Sports one constantly, even when sleeping in chibi form.
- Historical In-Joke: Mentions in one of her idle lines that she likes trees. This references the fact that she spent almost the entire war providing coastal support for ground forces, and saw very little combat against other ships.
- Tomboy with a Girly Streak: She's even more of a tomboy than her sisters, to the point of having masculine nicknames such as "Clevedad" or "Clevebro". However, she's not a big fan of those nicknames, and in her oath skin, expresses joy over wearing a frilly wedding dress. She's also rather upset that her formal wear is a suit while everyone else gets dresses.
- Utility Party Member: Her Raid Order skill increases the damage dealt by the entire party on top of her awesome anti-air with the Anti-Air Mode skill.
- Wearing a Flag on Your Head: Has very patriotic socks, with red and white stripes at the top and a star-strewn field of blue below. Her New Year's Kimono is also patriotic with five-point flowers in place of stars on a field of deep blue and white with red stripes on the sleeves and hem.
- Wingding Eyes: Her base skin's idle animation has her pupils change to dollar signs. Unlike most uses of this trope, this seems to be simply a joke and there's not much (if any) of the usual association with greed, since her only real mention of money is her introduction of "time is money!" In her promise skin, she even throws money away in her idle animation in the dorm. Perhaps it's referencing that she's a good farming ship (as she is in World of Warships before she was bumped up to Tier 8 after CA/CL line split).

- Bubblegum Popping: Shown popping bubblegum in her artwork, and she mentions her gum in several lines.
- Early-Bird Cameo: Before being added to the game proper, art of her sans rigging could be seen at screen where you select which level of a daily raid/challenge you wanted to do, giving her the nickname of "daily raid girl".
- Fashionable Asymmetry: Only wears one thigh-high sock. According to her, the reason why is classified.
- The Tease: While not constant, her reaction to a special touch is if he's interested in the star on her shirt or "something else"/"what's underneath it" in a teasing tone.
- Tomboy with a Girly Streak: Despite her interest in things like football, she apparently also likes ballet
- Uniformity Exception: Is the only sister not to refer to herself as a knight of the seanote , and the only one not wearing a cape or something similar overtop of her shirt.
- You Shall Not Pass!: Her Flagship Protection skill reduces the damage taken by the flagship.

The personification of the light cruiser USS Montpelier
- Badass Cape: Just like big sis Cleveland, she's a highly skilled and deadly Knight of the Sea who wears a cape, and is the only Super-Rare Cleveland class.
- Big Sister Worship: Adores Cleveland a little bit too much, but nowhere near as bad as how Portland acts towards Indianapolis, never taking it into the realm of Big Sister Attraction.
- Red Baron: Earned the nickname "Legend of the Solomons" for her service on Leyte Gulf, and by the end of the war, had earned 13 stars.
- Utility Party Member: Her Legend of the Solomons skill is basically a souped-up version of Cleveland's Raid Order.

- ID: No. 330Rarity: EliteArtist:"Hello! I am Cleveland class's Denver, the fourth knight of the sea. Before I formally join your forces, will you tell me what kind of future do you wish for?"
- Badass Longcoat: Wears one instead of a cape. As for "badass"... well, she's a cruiser.
- Girlish Pigtails: The youngest looking member of the Cleveland class (not counting Clevelad), with several lines mentioning that she's not as experienced as her sisters. Fittingly, she wears her hair in pigtails, while most of her sisters wear their hair long, adding to her youthful appearance.
- Grin of Audacity: Just like her big sister, she almost always has a smile, even when sleeping in chibi form. The only time she isn't smiling is when she sinks.
- Historical In-Joke: One of her lines mention her would-be younger sisters were converted into light carriers. Cue Independence getting added to the roster.
- Status Buff: Her Full Firepower skill increases her Firepower for a short duration, negating the drawback of her Anti-Air Mode skill entirely.
- Uniformity Exception: She's the only one of the sisters who doesn't have red eyes. Taken further in that even their half-sister Independence has red eyes, although Bataan, their other half-sister, has blue eyes like Denver.

- ID: No. 405Rarity: EliteArtist:"Starting today, Cleveland-class light cruiser Birmingham is on active duty. I will not rest until the future of the sea is secure. Commander, grant me your guidance and support."
- I Work Alone: While she still works with the fleet, she usually keeps a distance from the other Cleveland sisters, although she does admire Cleveland.
- My Greatest Failure: She has a line referencing how she led the efforts to put out the fires on Princeton (and took considerable damage and casualties doing so) but was unable to save her."Princeton... please be okay. If I had fought harder back then, things wouldn't have..."
- Nigh-Invulnerable: Once per battle she can dodge all attacks for 5 seconds when her HP is 30% or lower.
- Support Party Member: She helps reduce the main fleet ships' burn duration with her Guardian of War skill.
- Uniformity Exception: The only one of the Cleveland sisters that isn't blonde. If you include the Independence-class, then she and Independence are the only non-blondes. With the addition of the blue-haired Biloxi though, this is no longer the case, though she is still the only non-blonde Knight of the Sea as Biloxi doesn't consider herself a member.

Voiced by: Kaoru Komatsu

- ID: No. 428Rarity: EliteArtist:"I'm Biloxi. I hope we can work together and seize victory as fellow fleet members. Anyway, that's all for introductions. Nice meeting you."
- Badass in a Nice Suit: Her "Dapper Gangstress" skin has her put on a Chinese gangster-themed suit, complete with wide-brimmed hat, though she wears the jacket as a Coat Cape, and as a Cleveland-class light cruiser, she can certainly kick some ass. Her "Empress in the Silk Chain" ballroom skin is equally themed.
- Badass Boast: In her "touch" dialog as secretary, she claims nobody has better anti-air than her. Unfortunately for her claim, she has the same AA as any other Elite-rarity Cleveland-class and isn't even close to San Diego's level.
- Stance System: Biloxi has a different stance system from most Cleveland-class cruisers - instead of Anti-Air Mode, she has Air-Surface Switch, which boosts her anti-air stat by 15% and reduces her firepower by 5% if she has the Twin 127mm (5"/38 Mk 38) gun equipped in her destroyer gun slot, OR boosts her firepower by 15% and reduces her anti-air stat by 5% if she has any other gun equipped in that slot.

- Big Eater: Seems very fond of chocolate and candy (and she seems a bit pudgier compared to her slender older self.) But it's in part the belief eating a lot will help her grow taller. Her chibi sleeping animation has her chewing snacks in her sleep.
- Ship Tease: To Lena, possibly to mirror increasing amounts of Ship Tease between Helena and Cleveland. It is downplayed on her end, coming off as purely friends.
- Support Party Member: Able to reduce the damage she, Lena and Lil Sandy take. Also inverted in that she gets buffed when with her sisters.

The version of Cleveland augmented by Muse Weapon technology. She's Polaris' drummer.
- Hard Light: Unlike her other bandmates who gets physical instruments (although Sheffield's is built into her rigging unlike the others), her drum set seems to be made from this.
- Only Sane Man: Her twitter introduction
paints her as this for the Polaris band, being the voice of reason to get everyone back on track. - Status Buff: Both skills are buffs to her. The first, spiritual chasing has a chance of changing her shots to purple note shots (which has rather nice if a bit leaning towards Light and Medium armor modifiers, and pierces once). The other ups her anti-air when shooting planes down (but unlike her original version, there's no firepower penalty) This gives her better and more stable DPS than her normal version at the expense of being unable to buff teammates.

The personification of S-511-38 6" A.A. Cruiser Scheme "A"
- Genki Girl: She's very high energy and loves throwing parties.
- Mechanically Unusual Fighter: Her secondary slot is unique in that she can equip either CL guns and AA guns in the slot. While the C-class cruisers are able to mount AA guns on their secondary slot, there's no other cruisers in the game that can mount CL guns on the secondary slot note . Also, due to her skill, mounting AA guns in the secondary slot will buff your main battery guns, and mounting CL guns will buff AA guns. This is to reflect that her design doesn't include any secondary guns.
- Nice Girl: While she likes making parties and people attend them, she'd never force someone to go and she'd try her best to have everyone enjoy the party.
- Superior Successor: To the Atlanta class (at base) with a better balance of stats while maintaining high A.A. abilities and with skills that match up well with it.

- Covert Pervert: According to Salt Lake City's special touch line, it's something Penscola does as well.
- Catchphrase: Many of her lines have "OK" somewhere in there. She even does the "ok" hand sign in her artwork.
- Glass Cannon: She can do some serious damage, but for a heavy cruiser, she has pretty sorry armor, and having no retrofit, this means that even at higher levels, she can end up taking more damage than a souped-up light cruiser or even destroyer.
- Rose-Haired Sweetie: This pink-haired cruiser is incredibly kind and friendly right from the get-go, offering help to the commander whenever they need it, and otherwise just making light conversation with them.
- Support Party Member: Her "Reload Order" skill boosts the fleet's reload
Salt Lake City
Voiced by: Manaka Iwami
- ID: No. 040Rarity: NormalArtist: 紫瑟
- Artistic License – Ships: She's a pretty accomplished ship that survived to the end of the war yet is only classified as a normal ship.
- Glass Cannon: Similar stats to her sister, but instead has "Full Firepower" that can boost her rather high Firepower (for her rarity) even more.
- Rare Random Drop: Downplayed; she only drops in select few main story levels (last 2 levels of world 8, all of World 13), but drops in a wide number of event stages.
- Weight Woe: One of lines talks about weight, but it's very likely a Historical In-Joke about treaty limitations.
- Glass Cannon: The Northamptons are some of the relatively few heavy cruisers with light armor, and they have relatively poor hitpoints. However, as gun cruisers, they have a great deal of sustained firepower, and Northampton and Chicago each take it even further. Northampton boosts the firepower of all cruisers in the fleet, including herself, while Chicago has a significant chance of doubling the damage of her attack each time she fires her main guns. On the other hand, Houston mitigates it with her ability to massively boost her evasion.
- Stripperific: Their class outfit looks like they'd be at home as NFL Cheerleaders. This is a reference to the fact that they were originally designed to be light cruisers, but were reclassified to heavy cruisers due to the Washington Naval Treaty, and never got heavier armor.

- ID: No. 041Rarity: RareArtist: realmbw"Mmm, hello Commander. To think that you can accurately predict where I would appear, seems like we are quite in sync……if only it's the same with Hornet……"
- My Greatest Failure: She very deeply regrets her failure to save Hornet at the Battle of the Santa Cruz Islands.
- Odd Friendship: She's quiet, reserved, and stoic. She's also good friends with Hornet.
- Platonic Life-Partners: The game and Queen's Orders portray her and Hornet like this, in reference to her being Hornet's escort ship in real life.
- The Quiet One: Mentions that she doesn't talk much, requests people quiet down from time to time, and she rarely raises her voice in her lines. Possibly a reference to the famously taciturn Calvin Coolidge, since she was sponsored by Coolidge's wife Grace and named for his hometown.
- The Stoic: Lampshaded. She doesn't emote much, mentions she has been told she has a rather stiff personality, and that she's nowhere near as lively as Hornet or her sisters.
- Support Party Member: Northampton's Artillery Command - Cruisers skill boosts the firepower stat of all cruisers, heavy and light, in the same fleet as her.
Chicago (CA-29)
Voiced by: Ruka Nemoto

- ID: No. 042Rarity: RareArtist: realmbw"So you're the Commander huh, you have a face that big sis can't resist to bully~ I'm starting to look forward to the coming days."
- Buxom Beauty Standard: She believes that her large breasts are part of what makes her attractive.
- Can't Act Perverted Toward a Love Interest: As her affection progresses, she teases the commander less and less, saying that it's because she wants the commander's attention, and knows that, because of how she usually acts, he won't realise that she's serious otherwise. Of course, once you pledge yourself to her, she's free to do all the things she previously only joked about doing...
- Cool Big Sis: Is an Onee-san type that goes about displaying her affections with less restraint and shame than Atago.
- Ojou Ringlets: Sports them, but definitively does not act like one.
- The Tease: At stranger affinity, Chicago will ask if you want to have some "adult fun", before saying she's just kidding. It's also deconstructed. In her friendly dialogue, she mentions that most people have trouble dealing with people who act like her, and is surprised that you want to be her friend.
- Truth in Television: During "Moonlit Overture", she flees the Sakura Empire forces after taking serious damage, without letting Vincennes and the rest of the Northern force know there's a Sakura Empire fleet approaching from the south and heading towards them, with Quincy assuming that Chicago fell before such warning could be sent out. In reality, while she did flee the IJN fleet, Chicago never alerted the Northern force because Captain Bode, aboard USS Chicago, never attempted to assert control of his Southern group and never tried to communicate with the Northern group about the attack as they fled the area, leaving both Guadalcanal and the Northern group exposed and unwarned of the attack. Furthermore, the game was correct in noting there was an error in delegation of duty, as Rear Admiral Crutchely, along with HMAS Australia, left the Southern group, leaving Chicago, and Captain Bode, in charge. (Bode would commit suicide after Chicago returned to the US for repairs, rather than face a possible court martial)

- ID: No. 043Rarity: EliteArtist: realmbw"Hiya~5th ship of the Northamptons is here, during the Invasion of Palawan I once took on a whole Sakura Empire squad alone! Starting from today Commander can play with me! ~yeah——☆"
- Cat Girl: Has hairclips that resemble mechanical cat ears, or alternatively, an Oni.
- Genki Girl: The most energetic of the three ships. Even in her introductory line she mentions that she wants to play with the commander.
- Red Baron: The Galloping Ghost of Java Coast. Her infamy is even made into a skill that massively increases her evasion rate, giving her deceptively high tankiness for a heavy cruiser with light armor.
- Status Buff: Her main skill has a moderate chance of massively increasing her own evasion rate within a short duration, up to 100% of her original stat at maximum level, allowing her to dodge a great deal for her shipclass while it's active.
- Artistic License – Ships: For the nods to thin armor the ships had, their AL counterparts are tanky units.
- Fashionable Asymmetry: Both sisters have a longer right stocking than their left.
- Historical In-Joke: Both girls are dressed rather lightly, which is a reference to their rather light armor compared to their size and armament. In game, they do have medium armor.
- Idiot Hair: Both sisters have ahoges shaped like a heart.
- Sailor Fuku: Both girls get these for their school skins. Portland also wears one in her default skin, though she has the top pulled down. Because reasons.
- Stone Wall: Both ships are defensive in nature, though Portland's refit allows her to gain some respectable dps on top of increasing her general endurance.
Portland (CA-33)
Voiced by: Kaori Yoshioka (Japanese), Margaret McDonald (English), Montserrat Aguilar (Latin American Spanish)

- ID: No. 044Rarity: RareArtist: Saru"Nice to meet you, Commander. I'm Indy's big sister, Portland. I've taken part in the battle of the Coral Sea, Midway, Guadalcanal, and the Santa Cruz Islands. Eh? Who's Indy? It's the nickname of Indianapolis, my dear little sister!"
- Annoying Younger Sibling: Inverted and downplayed. If deployed together, Indianapolis' line towards her is telling her to shut up. However, Indy's higher affection lines reveal that she's willing to give Portland anything she needs (except the Commander), because Portland gives her everything she needs (and more), and that Indy actually feels a bit guilty about Portland showering her with praise, as she feels that Portland could be quite popular if she spent even a bit of time on herself rather than on Indy.
- Big Sister Attraction: Inverted. When you regularly carry around doujinshi of your younger sister, drool while thinking about how great she is, and tell your partner that admiring your younger sister comes first, you're more than a little attracted to her.
- Big Sister Worship: Inverted, with the older Portland actually being smitten towards the younger Indianapolis, and it shows through her Best Sister skill, which increases her own damage while Indy is on the field. To give an idea of how obsessed she is, she only has a single line that doesn't mention Indy, and even that one lampshades the fact that she didn't mention her.
- Boring, but Practical: Her remodel in a nutshell, no new skill is added despite being a later one, but provides all the right stat boosts to make her effective to this day with only far newer ships and the Iris and Iron Blood prototype heavy Cruisers outdoing her.
- Bunny-Ears Lawyer: Despite her quirks, make no mistake to underestimate her. She is a capable field strategist as her character story shows.
- Cool Big Sis: Despite her quirks, and her being annoying at times, Indy admits that she's willing to give Portland anything she needs, because Portland gives her everything, that she thinks her sister is more stylish than her, and that she feels guilty about Portland constantly praising her, because she feels that Portland could be popular if she just spent some time on herself. As well, in the intro to the third mission of The Solomon Ranger, Portland is shown to legitimately worry about whether Indy is taking care of herself, and is also worried that she'll be bullied because she's the quiet type. Interestingly, it also appears that Indy is unaware of her sister's attraction towards her, with one of her secretary lines having her wonder why Portland is always staring at her.
- Hell, her first skill is aptly named "Best Sister," and it requires her to be in the same fleet as Indianapolis to trigger her own Firepower, Anti-Air, and Reload buffs.
- Cuteness Proximity: She is ALWAYS dreaming about Indianapolis. Think of it when Indy is in close proximity with Portland.
- Exotic Eye Designs: Has heart-shaped pupils.
- Foolish Sibling, Responsible Sibling: Zigzagged. While, for the most part, she's the foolish older sister to Indy's responsible younger sister, she's also shown in The Solomon Ranger to genuinely be worried about whether Indy is taking care of herself, and that she might be bullied due to her quiet nature. As well, Indy herself admits that Portland has given her everything she needs and more, showing that she works quite hard to look after her little sister.
- Genki Girl: More hyperactive than her younger sister Indy.
- Hidden Depths: Even though she's a total Ditz, and completely infatuated with her younger sister, she actually understands strategy and the importance of holding a strategic naval base. Even Atlanta was surprised. This is possibly a nod towards the fact that the ship she's based off of took part in many battles during WWII to the point where the USS Portland became one of the most decorated ships in the U.S. fleet at 16 stars.
- Her character story results in her leading a rather motley force in an exercise and winning with a minimum of damage.
- If It's You, It's Okay: While she is a total siscon to Indy herself, as the player gets close to her, she not only becomes happy to share her "stuff" related to Indy, but talks about having children with the commander (ten of 'em) if maximum affection is reached... albeit in a threesome relationship with Indy.
- Magikarp Power: A minor case with her remodel. Before it, she was mainly noted to be used alongside her sister, then fell out of use when her sister's lacking damage became an issue. After it, she's a strong standalone unit who can dish it as well as take it, widely considered to be the bar to meet/pass for all future tank heavy cruisers.
- Starter Mon: She's the final reward of the Easy Rookie Missions, after clearing Campaign Map 2-1.
- Support Party Member: She has a damage-reduction skill for the vanguard. One of her other skills also makes her an inverted example, in that she gains stat boosts when deployed alongside her sister.
Indianapolis (CA-35)
Voiced by: Aya Yokota

- ID: No. 045Rarity: EliteArtist: Saru"Yes? I'm Indianapolis, my nickname is Indy… Huh, a nuclear bomb? What's that?"
- Artificial Limbs: Inexplicably has a pair of mechanical arms alongside her actual arms, an unusual trait for any faction besides perhaps Ironblood.
- Artistic License – History: While she does get an atom bomb as a reference to her historical role in ferrying components to Tinian in July 1945, the bomb in her artwork is based on the "Fat Man", rather than the "Little Boy" that the Indianapolis actually carried.
- Beehive Barrier: Her Focused Defense skill has a low chance of reducing the damage she takes by half each time she gets hit.
- Big Little Sister: Portland is her older sister, but aside from the chest she doesn't really look like it as Indy is usually the more mature and serious of the two.
- Braids, Beads and Buckskins: More subtly than some others; she has war paint on her cheeks, and feathers in her hair and fringing her dress in her formal skin. note
- Fashionable Asymmetry: One of her socks goes to her thigh, the other doesn't even reach her knees.
- Hidden Buxom: Her recent formal skin shows that she's not that behind her sister in the bustline.
- Historical In-Joke:
- Her not knowing what a nuclear bomb is despite sitting on top of one is most likely a reference to both the fact that her mission to carry Little Boy was top secret, with the bomb itself being carried in pieces, and to the fact that Indianapolis was sunk exactly a week before the bombing of Hiroshima. It should be noted that nuclear bombs do exist in-universe, with at least one other ship making reference to themnote .
- If defeated, she blames it on "that damned I-58", which was the Japanese submarine responsible for sinking her.
- In her sister Portland's questline, I-58 nervously admits to Portland that she sank Indy... during a training exercise.
- She mentions that, if she goes away, the commander would have to rely on New Mexico. This is most likely 3 references in one.
- When Indianapolis returned to the US for repairs after kamikaze damage at Okinawa, Admiral Spruance (who had his flag onboard at the time) transferred to the USS New Mexico.
- I-58's commanding officer, Mochitsura Hashimoto, misidentified her as USS Idaho, a New Mexico-class battleship, in his after-action reports after conducting the torpedo attack that would sink the Indianapolis.
- The Manhattan project was headquartered in Los Alamos, New Mexico and, as stated, she delivered components for "Little Boy".
- Nuclear Weapons Taboo: The Japanese version of the game removes the radiation symbol from the Fat Man bomb she's sitting on. This also affects the Global version, since it's ported from the Japanese version. Also, their class collection reward was changed from Fat Man model furniture to lewd Indianapolis posters.
- Painting the Medium: To indicate her slow reaction time, most of her lines begin with an ellipse (and often contain a number of them as well).
- The Stoic: More subdued than her older sister Portland. Part of it comes down to her having a very poor reaction time, and not being all that social.
- Starter Mon: She's the Day 2 reward for a new account's 8-day login streak.
- Stone Wall: The generally low speed and high HP of the Heavy Cruiser''-class notwithstanding, she has two defensive skills in Pandora's Box and Focused Defense. Add Portland and her Defensive Order skill and she can last really long in battle. The same can't be said about her offense though.
- Stripperific: She wears a cape, a small strip of cloth that barely covers her bust, and a pair of shorts. Most likely a reference to the fact that the Portland-class was rather lightly armoured for heavy cruisers.
- A Day in the Limelight: "Moonlit Overture" is a the story of The Battle of Savo Island*, and the last stand of Astoria, Quincy and Vincennes.
- Gameplay and Story Integration: Even among other examples of the Luck Stat reflecting the story, Astoria, Vincennes, and Quincy stand out. They not only have some of the lowest Luck stats in the game at 15, 12, and 9 respectively (since they died in a truly unfortunate case of miscommunication), but this is also the (lowest-first) order in which they were sunk at the Battle of Savo Island: Quincy, then Vincennes, then finally Astoria.
- The Ghost: New Orleans herself, the lead ship of the class, is mentioned as a part of the Commander's fleet during Vincennes' character quest as Astoria rallied all New Orleans-class ships to help Vincennes' secretary duties, but New Orleans is explicitly missing (so Minneapolis also departs as the outlier to the sisterly Savo trio).
- Finally averted with New Orleans' introduction in October 2021...although, considering the difficulty of obtaining her, she may indeed remain The Ghost to most players.
- Last Stand: Astoria, Quincy and Vincennes, against overwhelming odds, during "Moonlit Overture".
- Moveset Clone:
- Quincy and Vincennes have the exact same skills and stats besides Luck. Fittingly, as USS Quincy and USS Vincennes were built using the same design (The New Orleans-class had three different designs. The first design was made up of New Orleans, Astoria, and Minneapolis, the second was made up of Tuscaloosa and San Francisco, and the third was made up of Quincy and Vincennes).
- Minneapolis defies this as she reflects the large overhaul the surviving ships of the class got after the three ships' sinking. The same could be said of San Francisco
- Stone Wall: The three older ships are rather durable but their offense is unremarkable. Minneapolis and San Francisco avoid this by having some bite to their kit.
New Orleans (CA-32)
Voiced by: Natsumi Fujiwara

- ID: No. ?Rarity: Super RareArtist: YD
- Bragging Rights Reward: By the time you get her, you almost certainly have several better heavy cruisers, and probably a supercruiser or two.
- Butterfly of Death and Rebirth: Her rigging emits blue fire that is vaguely in the shape of butterfly wings. The historical New Orleans was known for surviving having her entire bow, including her forward turret sheared off by torpedoes and yet stayed afloat, to be rebuilt in the aftermath of that battle. Incidentally, she's also the only known ship to have rammed herself, with her torn-off bow having scraped along her hull after being blown off.
- Cool Big Sis: Befitting her status as the lead ship of her class, she displays the most maturity and composure out of the sisters.
- Heal Thyself: Has a "zombie" skill that heals her if she drops below a certain HP threshold — but in this particular case, it first spawns a damage barrier, and the barrier must be broken for her to heal herself.
- Good Old Fisticuffs: She seems almost itching to test her hand-to-hand combat skills against the Commander. Even a regular touch has her eager for it, let alone her Special touch.
- Lampshade Hanging: When you acquire her, she'll joke that you're sure to get a medal for finding her. You'll probably feel like you deserve one after crawling through the hell that is World 14 to get her.
- Situational Sword: Her first skill only works if she is the lead ship of the vanguard, and there are two other ships behind her.
Astoria (CA-34)
Voiced by: Yoshie Sakai

- ID: No. 046Rarity: EliteArtist: Sky-FreeDom"Aloha, Commander~ I'm Astoria, the older sister of the New Orleans class! If you have any concerns, feel free to discuss them with me~"
- Big Sister Worship: Inverted. Just like Portland (to the point where the Commander himself comments on how Portland and Astoria would get along), the older Astoria dotes on the younger Vincennes. Though Vincennes states that Portland is far worse than Astoria, who never seems to go into the realm of actually being attracted to Vincennes, and unlike Portland she actually has a life outside of doting over Vincennes.
- The Ditz: There's a reason why Vincennes looks up to Quincy more than Astoria as the big sister. When Quincy speculates that Chicago left without a warning because of a miscommunication in delegation, Astoria's response is to ask what delegation means- in the midst of combat.
- Gyaru Girl: One of her skins sees her don mild kogal fashion, like Concord above.
- Hidden Depths: Some of her lines indicate that part of why she dotes on Vincennes so much is because of how little time they had together before they were sunk.
- Little Big Sister: While she seems a bit younger than Quincy, she's the oldest of the ship class.
- Playboy Bunny: Astoria is notably very first shipgirl to receive a skin based on this costume archetype, complete with the bunny-themed Animal-Eared Headband; rather than the archetypical leotard and tights however, Astoria wears a white, skintight short dress with a black corset and detached sleeves, thigh-highs, and knee-high high-heeled boots.
- Red Baron: Nasty Asty, the real life nickname given to her by her crew, and the name of one of her skills.
- Support Party Member: She buffs her sisters (perhaps save Minneapolis) as well as herself with her "Nasty Asty" skill.
- So Proud of You: Mentions that she's happy that New Orleans became a good older sister to the surviving members of their class.

Voiced by: Yu Shimamura

- ID: No. 364Rarity: Super RareArtist:"Heya! New Orleans-class Minneapolis, reporting in! I'm an expert hunter, so gimme a shout if there's prey you want me to hunt down!"
Representing the USS Minneapolis, she's markedly different from the other New Orleans ships as a reference to her (and the other surviving ships of the class) having undergone major retrofits following the Battle of Savo Island, during which the other three "New Orleans" ships in game were sunk.
- BFG: Her rigging is a gun that would make Cable proud.
- Braids, Beads and Buckskins: In her standard skin, and borderline Vaporwear to boot.
- Gyaru Girl: Accidentally at that in that her Wild Student skin makes her look borderline ganguro/mamba, although this is in part due to being a dark-skinned blonde.
- Historical In-Joke: There's a reason why she's slimmer compared to her 3 sisters. After the battle in which they were sunk, the remaining ships got overhauled with one of the results being less top heavy. And her "Dullahan" skill reflects a case where she sustained damage to the point where it was a miracle she was even afloat still, a torpedo blowing off her bow forward of the turrets at Tassafaronga and also being torpedoed in the boiler rooms, followed up by the equally miraculous repairing of said damage.
- Indian Maiden: She evokes this image, particularly in her standard skin with facial tattoos, wild fur clothing, and triangular patterns.
- Last Chance Hitpoint: Her Dullahan skill activates once she falls below 30% health and reduces incoming damage and gradually heals as much as 20% of her health over the next 16 seconds, but slightly slows her down.
- More Dakka: Her Bull of the Lake Capital skill boosts her firepower and reload stats for 12 seconds every time she sinks a ship, refreshing if another is sunk before it runs out.
- Stripperific: Lampshaded in one loading screen
◊ where she's being dressed as a maid and Sirius and Dido are in the background looking perplexed as they hold up her tiny top. - Vaporwear: Her wedding skin is just a bunch of thin veils and ribbons, to the point it had to be censored a bit in the CN version by making the veil around her legs a bit more opaque.
- Wild Child: Definitively. Even her toned down schoolgirl skin is still called Wild Student.
San Francisco (CA-38)
Voiced by: Tomomi Mineuchi

- ID: No. 512Rarity: Super RareArtist: Nagu"Sup, Commander! The name's San Francisco! ...Huh, joining the fleet's supposed to be fun? Anything in it for me? Just askin' for curiosity's sake~ Oh, by the way, I'm calling ya Puddin' from now on~"
- Affectionate Nickname: Addresses the commander as "Puddin'."
- Batter Up!: Carries a bat in her default outfit, and threatens to use it a few times in the Mirror Involution event.
- Funetik Aksent: Her written dialogue gives her a distinct NorCal accent. Makes sense, given her name.
- Genki Girl: She is VERY energetic and fun-loving.
- Historical In-Joke: If she sorties alongside Atlanta, she promises that there will be no friendly fire. During the Naval Battle of Guadalcanal, she mistakenly fired on Atlanta early on, causing the light cruiser to sustain heavy damage, numerous casualties, and contributing to the latter eventually sinking.
- Playboy Bunny: Her "Funny Bunny!" skin puts her in a bunny girl outfit.
- Shout-Out: With her baseball bat, energetic personality and "Puddin'" nickname for the Commander, San Francisco resembles a non-psychopathic, non-villainous version of Harley Quinn.
- Stance System: "Right Place at the Right Time" has different effects depending on where she is in the vanguard, while two are covered in the trope below, being at the head buffs her evasion, anti-air, and gives her some damage reduction.
- Support Party Member: Her "Right Place at the Right Time" will provide one of three sets of effects in the vanguard with two being supportive. Middle position's one time heal per battle, and rear position's damage boost.
Quincy (CA-39)
Voiced by: Minami Tsuda

- ID: No. 047Rarity: EliteArtist: Sky-FreeDom"C-commander... Hello... I am the heavy cruiser Quincy of the New-Orleans class. From now on I will be living with Commander. So, i-is there anything that I can help with?"
- Big Sister Worship: Inverted. Just like Portland, Quincy dotes on the younger Vincennes. In fact, Vincennes reveals that Astoria and Quincy pretty much fight over who gets to do stuff for her.
- Born Unlucky: Even by the standards of ships with low luck, she takes a special cake: other than the prototype ships (who all have 0 luck due to never being built or completed) with her luck of 9, she has the lowest luck score of any ship in the game and is the only one non-prototype girl to have single-digit luck. Even the first wave of prototype ships can end up with higher luck than her via Fate Simulation.
- Pacifist: Her passive nature is due to being part of the Neutrality Patrol in the Mediterranean Sea in the Intra-war period. She was sunk shortly after joining the Pacific fleet.
Vincennes (CA-44)
Voiced by: Minami Tsuda

- ID: No. 048Rarity: EliteArtist: Sky-FreeDom"Vincennes of the New Orleans-class... Commander, want to carry me home?"
- Commonality Connection: Is good friends with Indianapolis, due to them both being quiet, low energy, and having... overwhelming older sisters.
- Lazy Bum: Though not as bad as Foote. She mentions that part of it comes down to her older sisters always wanting to do everything for her, meaning she never really had to do anything for herself.
- Sleepyhead: As noted in her character quest, she only seems to have two settings: Napping, and spacing out.
- V-Sign: Referenced in her MVP line, and she is shown doing it in both her default art and in a loading screen depicting her and her older sisters.
Wichita (CA-45)
Voiced by: Nozomi Yamamoto

- ID: No. 049Rarity: EliteArtist: Kaede Yumesaki"Are you my commander? Okay, from today onward, you're my adviser. Use your ability to help me conquer the seas!"
- Ace Custom: She is a unique ship and has the Brooklyn class hull but is equipped with heavy cruiser gunsnote , making her the opposite of Mogami. For this reason she's the collection reward for the Brooklyn class.
- Artistic License – Ships: She has inexplicably low HP and light armor considering the historical ship had twice the belt thickness of Prinz Eugen.
- Boisterous Bruiser: She is always looking for a good fight and is one of the few who doesn't get disappointed on defeat. She also considers that torpedoes are for weaklings.
- Collection Sidequest: She's unlocked as a playable ship only after 12 total stars have been obtained from Brooklyn-Class cruisers note — a free copy is then given as a reward, and future copies can be obtained from the build menu to help with limit-breaking.
- Fiery Redhead: Red hair and and equally fiery personality.
- Glass Cannon: Poster girl of such heavy cruisers with a hardly rivaled damage potential among her ship class but noticeably lower HP and light-type armor. Unusually, the actual ship had considerable armor, well in excess of many heavy cruisers that are classified as having medium-type armor.
- Support Party Member: Her Artillery Command - Cruiser buffs the firepower of all cruisers in her fleet, which is especially potent with Eagle Union cruisers including Wichita herselfnote . She shares this skill with fellow Eagle Union heavy cruiser Northampton, but Wichita is definitely the better of the two with higher stats across the board and an extra offensive skill allowing her to be a solid damage dealer in her own right while also buffing the fleet.
- Take Over the World: Wichita mentions that her goal is nothing less than world conquest. Though if you reach the Love affinity with her, she admits that she initially meant it as a joke.
Baltimore (CA-68)
Voiced by: Minami Takahashi

- ID: No. 050Rarity: Super RareArtist: feng ze"Heya. Are you in need of help? I'm Baltimore, a heavy cruiser just passing by... Okay, that's enough jokes for now... Baltimore, awaiting your orders, Commander."
- Academic Athlete: In her schoolgirl skin there's not a single club that she doesn't participate in to some extent.
- Animation Bump: Her formal L2D skin has a lengthy animation for oathing, a step above the previous examples (which all had an unique if low key animation for it)
- Armor-Piercing Attack: Her "Final AP Ride" skill functions similar to Massachusetts (but firing normally), which converts any shell type she fired into a special AP shell, and increase their damage multiplier the higher level her skill is. At level 8 or higher there's a small chance of Armor break being inflicted.
- Even the Girls Want Her: It is implied she has plenty of female admirers, although she lacks Cleveland's strong tomboy streak.
- For Great Justice: She actually gets along with really with Charles Ausburne, and like Ausburne, has a strong sense of Justice.
- Running Gag: Baltimore's squeak whenever you give her a Special Touch. it's spanned all of her alternate skins and her Black Ace skin seems to make light of this."Eep?! Come on, I've told you I'm sensitive to this sort of stuff!"
- Screams Like a Little Girl: Her surprised scream if you give her a Special Touch has considerably higher pitch than her usual voice.
- Shout-Out: Like her introductory line says, she's just a Heavy Cruiser passing throu-I mean by!, as is "Final AP Ride".
- "Shut Up" Kiss: Baltimore panics during her Oath ceremony realizing that once the ring is on her finger all that's left is to kiss the bride. Her Evening Breeze Minuet shows, from your point of view, that when this starts the Commander wordlessly and swiftly advances on her, invoking this trope. The screen cuts to black at the last moment, leaving a lipstick mark on the screen.
- Support Party Member: One of her skill allows her to help buff US CV/L and provide AA buff to the whole fleet, as long as there is at least 1 US CV/L in the fleet. Otherwise she gets a buff to herself.
- Superior Successor: Built after the treaty limits were abandoned, her armor and firepower stand well above the earlier Eagle Union heavy cruisers.
Bremerton (CA-130)
Voiced by: Yuiko Tatsumi

- ID: No. 443Rarity: Super RareArtist: Katsudansou"Here! I! Am! I'm Bremerton, the Eagle Union heavy cruiser! The pleasure's mine! Oh, by the way, mind telling me your name, birthday, and favorite thing?"
- Berserk Button: Downplayed; special touches pre-oath are the only thing that draws a remotely angry reaction from her.
- Expy: Her Kung Fu Cruiser skin shows off her legs and thighs, she has odango hair and fights with kicks. This has resulted in comparisons to Chun Li from Street Fighter.
- Freaky Fashion, Mild Mind: One of the things she's best known for is her rather outrageous base skin which has a number of piercings, but is kind, considerate and doesn't care for special touches pre-oath.
- Girlish Pigtails: Sports a pair of these.
- Girly Bruiser: She's pretty girly and chipper, with her pastime being giving people advice on Juustagram, and some of her voice lines talking about fashion. Both her "Day-Off Date" and "Relaxation Consultation" skins show off her girlier side. She's also still capable of kicking major ass.
- Goggles Do Nothing: Averted, her chibi sprite actually uses her red sunglasses.
- Innocent Fanservice Girl: For the most part, she shows no signs of being aware of her body's and outfit's effects on guys. She turns into a Reluctant Fanservice Girl if you try special touches on her pre-oath, and circles back to this again when she offers to get close.
- Kill It with Fire: Her "Flame Burst Wing" skill has a special High Explosive barrage, but due to unknown reasons there's no ignite chance. This doesn't require a HE gun at all.
- Ms. Fanservice: Bremerton is incredibly attractive and very curvy, with her outfit's small top exposing her midriff and cleavage, while her short shorts thigh-high boots draw attention to her legs. Her other alternate skins tend to be fanservicey to some extent too, and all of them expose her cleavage. Ironically, however, she's an Innocent Fanservice Girl.
- Nice Girl: She's a friendly woman who generally goes about running advice on Juustagram. Even if she's upset, she's willing to listen to your problems, even offering her chest to cry into at the "disapointed" affection level. Post-oath, she'll pack lunch for you in a voice line, and in her sports skin where she's sweating, she'll still offer some of her water to you.
- Stance System: She applies one of two buffs to herself depending on her location in the frontline, the very front most sport results in a timed damage reduction at the start of battles, otherwise a flat permanent buff to her anti-air.
- Warrior Therapist: She has her own counseling service, through which others can message her about their troubles. She offers this service to the commander in-person.
Anchorage
Voiced by: Rina Hidaka

- ID: Plan 018Rarity: PriorityArtist: LAL!ROLE"Com...mander? No... Teacher? Teachy-teacher. I'm Anchorage. Woohoo! Teacher! My favoritest person! Teacheeer!"
Personification of the CA-B Plan ship USS Anchorage as part of the fourth round of the World of Warships collaboration.
- Ambiguous Innocence: Though she's generally an Innocent Fanservice Girl, what with her reaction to being special touched and not knowing how attractive she is, it's hard not to see her Valentine lines as a little bit....suggestive.Valentine 2022: "Teacher, I have chocolate for you. It's very yummy. –Cheek, neck, or fingers... Where would you like to "eat" my chocolate?"Valentine 2023: "Chewy, squishy, or liquidy... Which chocolate do you like, Teacher? You're my "sweetie," so you can eat my chocolate... from wherever you want."
- Anti-Gravity Clothing: Part of her rigging, shaped like a halo, floats above her in combat.
- Balance Buff: Averted. Fate Simulation for Research ships often only offer minor improvements, but Anchorage's case is notable because she was already perfect for her role as a tank. Her buff being so minor (improved barrage spread for a ship with little offensive utility) is practically the equivalent of the developers lampshading how unneeded it was.
- Game Changer: Due to the mechanics of torpedo firing in PvP,note Anchorage has emerged as a direct counter to both the IJN torpedo vanguard and the dominant Italian preload metas, while solidifying the dominance of one of the latter's variants (the "Mafia fleet").
- Innocent Fanservice Girl: She's very innocent in general with things like how attractive she is and the ramifications of things like special touches not being apparent to her despite her not minding the latter. This even extends to her Slow Ahead 4koma episode, where she innocently says that her "Sensei" (the Commander) likes squishy things and Anchorage to Ägir, causing a horrified Ägir to question what she and the Commander had been doing.
- Insistent Terminology: She insists on calling you Teacher (due to the Japanese script the English one is based on using "Sensei"). As Parrallel Superstition would reveal, this is because she's inheriting the memories of herself from another timeline.
- Lightning Bruiser: She leans heavily on agility/evasion and defense than other aspects with her skills. Said other aspects are respectable (roughly similar to the Baltimore class before skills come into play)
- Love at First Sight: She takes quite a shine to you upon getting her.
- Mechanically Unusual Fighter: Namely in that her "Hide and Seek" skill activation is tied to her launching her torpedoes when such effects are usually based on proc chance in some fashion. In short, she needs manual play to tank her best. This is on top of being the only Eagle Union Heavy Cruiser to use torpedoes (she's a hybrid that has Main Gun Mount+1 but only able to load up one torpedo).
- Nice Girl: On top of seeing you as her best friend, she tries to console you at the "upset" affinity level.
- Symbolic Wings: Her rigging has decorations on it, which combined with the Halo that floats over her in combat, suggests an Angel theme, an guardian type from her defensive skill kit.
- Womanchild: Is mentally a young child, befitting her newly born status. Her Japanese lines are also without any Kanji characters (befitting a young girl that just learned how to write), and she speaks slowly, as befitting a young girl who has just learned to speak.
Northampton II (CA-125)
Voiced by: Takao Koizumi

- ID: No. 575Rarity: Super RareArtist:"We meet again, Commander. It's me, Northampton. For you to know exactly where I'd show up again, I guess we really are two peas in a pod. So... Are you pleased with how I turned out?"
- Artistic License – Ships: Mainly to do with the game classifying her as a Heavy Cruiser. While she was originally laid down as CA-125, she was officially commissioned as a command ship with the hull name CLC-1 and later on, CC-1. Northampton II's rigging represents the original Oregon City design with triple 8" and twin 5" guns, versus the single 5" guns she actually used.
- Beleaguered Assistant: Still spends a lot of time trying to rein in Hornet. One loading screen shows her loaded down with all the shopping bags Hornet and Yorktown have amassed.
- Hotter and Sexier: Her original outfit was already pretty minimal, but she manages this by now showing some Underboobs
- Lightning Bruiser: Compared to the Glass Cannon the original is, Northampton II has been buffed to have a statline comparable to the likes of the Baltimore-class.
- My Greatest Second Chance: She considers her new incarnation to be a chance to make up for failing to save the original Hornet.
- Shout-Out: Her skill "Pilotfish" offers a historical reference to one of her planned uses as CLC-1. An actual pilotfish sails close to the fleet's carrier (In this case, the proposed USS United States CVA-58, which would not have an island or radar masts) and directs aircraft during their landing approach while also providing radar cover. In-game, Northampton receives additional damage reduction bonuses if the flagship is a carrier and fires a barrage when said flagship launches an airstrike.
- Support Party Member: Fitting her historic role as a command ship, her skills provide buffs for Cruisers and Carriers in the same fleet while making herself more difficult to take down, but her statline ensures she's no slouch in the damage department, either.
- Took a Level in Cheerfulness: Compared to her previous incarnation.Even though I used to not talk that much, I feel like I've started to change. Though, it's still hard to think up topics to talk about...
Large Cruisers (CB)
Guam
Voiced by: Karin Kagami

- ID: No. 616Rarity: Ultra RareArtist: Dishwasher1910"I'm Guam, 2nd ship of the Alaska class – still working on a nickname! I only made it for the tail end of the war, but I still dazzled everybody! Am I a super cruiser, a large cruiser, or a battlecruiser? Eh, they're all basically the same thing, so say whichever you want."
- Historical In-Joke: Her introductory quote references the widespread historical arguments over what exact flavor of warship the Alaska class cruisers actually are. The actual answer is they were merely a scaled-up heavy cruiser design made possible by the lapse of the interwar naval treaties which limited individual ship tonnage.
- Humongous Mecha: Guam manages to one-up Musashi's giant mechanical arms by giving her rig a head, torso, and waist section, ending up looking like someone tried to build the Zeong using parts from Armored Core.
- Idol Singer: A very bizarre mix of this and a news reporter. She's clearly a performer and works together with San Diego and Lexington, but a lot of her lines are delivered like an anchorman breaking a big scoop. She also has a lighting & camera crew following her at all times, giving the impression she's ready to go live at any time for any reason.
- Playboy Bunny: Wears a very snug bunny outfit along with a top hat and thigh-high boots to perform in for her "Stage-Setting Charmer" skin.
- Support Party Member: An interesting case given that most large cruisers act as a Mighty Glacier for a fleet. Her stats are nothing to sneeze at and she's packing a pair of her own barrages, but Guam's kit primarily focuses on buffing her fleet's anti-air and providing a Damage-Increasing Debuff for a battleship to take advantage of.
- Mighty Glacier: Despite having anti-air focus as her main kit, Guam still counts as one. Her HP is the highest among all large cruisers with medium armor, and her skills give her a barrier that absorbs damage every time she fires her main gun and two barrages. In addition, her signature gun, being the only Ultra Rare large cruiser gun, has the highest firepower and fastest reload time, thus activating her barrier more often, and the strongest against medium and heavy armor among all large cruiser guns.
- Wingding Eyes: Her pupils have a star shape in them at all times, though various interactions can change them into either swirls or hearts.
Battlecruisers (BC)
Constellation
Voiced by: Iori Saeki
- ID: No. 617Rarity: Super RareArtist: Mimoza"I am Constellation, hull number CC-2. It was a little unfortunate that I couldn't sail forth with my sister ships. It became my routine to gaze at the stars while I awaited my own time to shine. Commander, how is the view of the night sky from this port?"
- Artistic License – History: Constellation was one of the four Lexingtons axed under the Washington Treaty and thus never completed. Her shipgirl form is based on the World of Warships premium ship, which went through a hypothetical refit similar to those carried out on the U.S. Navy's older battleships to improve their anti-aircraft armament.
- Mechanically Unusual Fighter: The only Eagle Union capital ship with torpedo status. In gameplay, she doesn't really launch torpedoes, but instead her barrage scales with her torpedo stats value.
Battleships (BB)
See here.Light Aircraft Carriers (CVL)
Langley (CV-1)
Voiced by: Haruka Yoshimura

- ID: No. 072Rarity: NormalArtist: Saru"Commander, I’m Langley, sent here to assist you. Listen well, I will correct your various issues, and bring this fleet back on track."
- Awesome, but Impractical: She is one of the few carriers or light carriers who carry a gun mount - in her case, a destroyer gun mount, which could theoretically be useful for helping defend the backline, especially from bomb ships, and the high DPS of destroyer guns could make them useful against other ships that get close, which is pretty awesome. Unfortunately, she has absolutely no firepower stat, which means that her gun will never amount to more than a peashooter. Fortunately, at her first limit break, the equipment slot becomes a unique slot that can take fighters or a destroyer gun, which is at least somewhat more useful.
- Experience Booster: Langley's primary skill boosts the experience earned by all carriers and light carriers in the same fleet as her.
- Historical In-Joke: Her whole Sensei-chan schtick is a gag on her being one of the oldest dedicated aircraft carriers in history - she was originally launched in 1912 as a collier
before being converted and put to sea as a test bed for the idea of a dedicated aircraft carrier. And, as a result of her origins... Langley was tiny. She was nearly half as long (165m versus ~270m) and one-third the displacement (12.7k tons vs. 36k tons) of either Lexington-class vessel and didn't do well in the war due to her age. So, yes, she has more experience than anyone else in the Union Navy, can't actually fight well... and is small enough for the Commander to use as a lawn-dart. - Named After Someone Famous: She was named after Samuel Langley
, an American scientist, who among other things, tried to make a flying machine by launching off of boats. While these experiments didn't pan out, they lay down the founding principles for carriers. It's fitting that the very first carrier share his name. - Older Than They Look: Another one of the notable examples, especially given her appearance (a Historical In-Joke as one of the oldest yet smallest dedicated aircraft carriers) - strictly speaking, "Langley" dates back to before the first World War, as she was lain down and launched in 1911-12 as the US Navy collier USS Jupiter, and was also the first US turbo-electric ship
. She even saw brief service in the war, doing a few cruises to transport supplies and men to and from Europe. She was converted to a carrier in the early 1920s, regaining commission as Langley in '22. This puts her in the top ranks of oldest ships in the game, and ties her with Houshou for oldest carrier (since even though Hermes was built earlier, commissioning her took half a decade). - Sensei-chan: Langley dresses like a teacher, but looks like she's about seven years old. Doesn't act like it for the most part, being far better at being a Stern Teacher than Ranger. Fittingly, she is one of the potential teachers that will show up in the Lecture Hall.
- Support Party Member:
- On retrofit, Langley gains the skill "Reload Command - CVL", which makes other light carriers in the fleet reload faster.
- With the introduction of the air superiority mechanic, Langley brings a staggering amount of air superiority for her rarity and fuel cost - despite her poor aviation stat, the fact that she brings six fighters (two equipment slots with three planes per slot) and two dive bombers means she brings nearly as much air superiority as a Super Rare fleet carrier for the oil cost of a Common light carrier.
- Useless Useful Skill: "Reload Command - CVL" could significantly boost the rate at which a full light carrier backline launches airstrikes (it works for fewer, but obviously doesn't reach its full potential without a full backline of light carriers). Unfortunately, there are few reasons to field a three CVL backline, and Langley's poor offensive capabilities resulting from carrying two wings of fighters, having very poor efficiency on her sole wing of dive bombers, poor reload stat, and the worst aviation stat of all carriers (and actually worse than the Ise-class aviation battleships, meaning that she only surpasses the Fusou-class aviation battleships in aviation) mean that she wouldn't be likely to find a place in such a composition and would be hard pressed to make up the damage that simply fielding another, better CVL would do, and since she has to be fully limit broken to be fully refitted, she can't really justify her deployment in such a fleet with a significant oil savings, nor are there any maps that force CVL-heavy fleets.
Ranger (CV-4)
Voiced by: Yuu Asakawa

- ID: No. 075Rarity: NormalArtist: Enka"I'm Ranger, the Union's first specially made carrier! I was deployed to the Atlantic Ocean, where I mainly served as an escort to convoys and aircraft carriers. Special guidance? T-that's not what I was sent here for, b-but… if you insist… (Small voice) I didn't say anything!"
- Artistic License – Ships: That she's classified as a light carrier is rather odd, considering that she was designed as a fleet carrier, and unlike Langley, was never reclassified as anything else (Langley was eventually reclassified as a seaplane tender). Furthermore, she had a near full-size air wing, much larger than true light carriers like Independence, and could easily bring at least as many planes to a fight as many non-American fleet carriers. The main reason she never operated in the Pacific was because she was slower than newer carriers, but even then, she was considerably faster than most actual escort carriers.
- Badass Longcoat: Her coat becomes one post-retrofit.
- BFG: This is how her flight deck is portrayed — she's gripping it by a handle complete with a trigger, in contrast to other light carriers who have more subdued flight decks — and it emphasizes her offense focus.
- Cooldown Manipulation: Her Quick Launch skill has an up to 15% chance of completely negating the cooldown on her next airstrike and can activate again off of airstrikes that are charged this way.
- Covert Pervert: Exaggerated. She has a thin veneer as a Stern Teacher, but even setting her as secretary, regardless of affinity, reveals some suspect lines about her priorities. Her "Special Touch" line tapping her in an inappropriate place has her more concerned about the commander telling others about it happening out of embarrassment than any displeasure."Main Screen 1": What I teach besides fighting is human se-... I-I mean... physical education!
"Normal Touch"note : Hwaa!? Commander... S-Stop... is what you want me to say?!- Ranger is revealed to be this in the Visitors From Another Dimension: Mission. Some of her books she borrowed from library included 60 Shades of Grey, Seduced by a Commander. What would she do with those books? Don't think she can teach the commander anything about strategy or tactic. May have something to do with Teacher/Student Romance.
- Her Valentine's Day gift is a note that is just shy of sexually explicit fanfiction between her and the commander.(There's a note. It reads: "Commander... I want you to have this!" "Miss... Ranger..." "Don't say another word! We're student and teacher, after all..." "I don't care! I love you, Miss Ranger!" "Oh, Commander, take me...!" The rest has been omitted.)
- Disk One Nuke: Ranger can be acquired very early as one of the most common results of special ship construction and a common drop starting in world 3 and nearly every chapter afterwards, before many players are likely to start acquiring many fleet carriers, and her aggressive flight wing and powerful skills make her very powerful. Furthermore, since she's a common, her retrofit is relatively easy, and allows her to keep up with even some of the fleet carriers, and also because she's common, her oil cost is low and it's easy to find more Rangers to enhance her with for twice the stat boost per ship. Even later on, her aggressive air wing and powerful skills make her very useful, especially in fleets that are trying to keep their fuel costs down.
- Fanservice Pack: Her already large breasts become bigger upon retrofit, and her pose emphasizes them. She also trades her skirt for a pair of skin-tight leather pants.
- Fashionable Asymmetry: Her pants only have one full leg on them post-retrofit, with the other being made up of criss-crossing strips.
- Foil: For Langley. Ranger looks more adult than Langley, but acts in a much less professional manner despite her attempts to be taken seriously.
- Fun with Acronyms: The pleats of her pre-retrofit skirt read "RNG", which is both short for "Ranger" and a common acronym for Random Number Generator, which she relies heavily on, as she has two very powerful, low activation rate skills.
- Glass Cannon: Ranger has a unique air wing of two dive bomber squadrons (3 planes each at MLB) and one torpedo bomber squadron (2 planes at MLB), meaning her entire air wing is focused entirely on doing damage to the enemy fleet (only Ark Royal has an equally aggressive composition, though hers is focused on torpedoes instead of dive bombers), and she has two powerful offensive skills - Quick Launch, which gives her up to a 15% chance of instantly preparing another air strike whenever she launches planes, including off of air strikes generated by Quick Launch, and Assault Carrier, which has an up to 25% chance of doubling the power of her air strike. Taken together, this means that her damage potential is literally infinite, if luck-based (though the fundamental power of her offense-focused air wing is still pretty solid, even if nothing activates, as despite her relatively poor aviation stat, such a large number 1000/1600/2000 lb bombs can do massive damage). However, she also has rather low HP, and her purely offensive air wing means she has no fighters or AA guns with which to defend herself and her fleet from enemy air strikes, save for carefully timing her own air strikes.
- Hot Teacher: Very attractive (and buxom) and the innuendos she make only adds to that.
- Innocent Innuendo: Her attempts at being a Stern Teacher are frequently undermined by her saying something that could be interpreted as sexual, as well as her realization of what she said about a second after the words are already out of her mouth and becoming flustered about it. This may be more akin to Freudian Slip considering her tastes for student romance.
- Male Gaze: Joked about in her view details lines pre- and post-retrofit. Pre-retrofit, she calls the commander out on it, but he claims to be looking at her bridge. Post-retrofit, she asks him if her bridge is really that beautiful. Guess what's right next to her bridge in both skins?
- Status Buff: Her Assault Carrier skill doubles the damage of her airstrike when it activates.
- Stern Teacher: She tries to be this, but couldn't keep it up when you reaches higher level affection. She gets better post retrofit, getting flustered and nervous less often, and generally being more serious and confident. Still isn't as good at it as Langley.
- Straight Man: She is this during Operation Touch (Iris of Light and Darkness event), to other ships in her taskforce.
- Vapour Wear: Her already low-cut top becomes partially see-through after her retrofit, making it obvious she's not wearing anything underneath.
Long Island (CVE-1)
Voiced by: Sachiyo Yoshida (Japanese), Jennifer Alyx (English), Berenice Vega (Latin American Spanish)

- ID: No. 070Rarity: RareArtist:"Hehe, I'm Long Island~ Hello, Commander. Actually, I have another name. Do you want to know?"
- Cloudcuckoolander: She's only pretending to be a ghost girl. Besides her pranks, some of her impressions of being a ghost include pretending to be invisible or mute and trying to surprise the Commander by roaring or shouting in his face (very cutely).
- Cooldown Manipulation: Her Quick Launch skill has an up to 15% chance of completely negating the cooldown on her next airstrike and can activate again off of airstrikes that are charged this way.
- Crutch Character: As your first carrier, she's likely to get a significant head start in levels (especially because her fast airstrike resulting from not carrying torpedo bombers, which tend to have a very long cooldown, as well as her high reload stat, helps her claim MVP early on) and will easily outperform most non-limit broken battleships, but she soon falls pretty far behind other carriers and limit broken battleships, and once a single airstrike stops being the battle-ender it is early on, she loses out badly to carriers with better wing compositions, skills, and raw stats. The material costs (requires 1-2 T3 ship blueprints) for a Rare to Elite refit doesn't help matters. Rerolled or veteran players would forgo her in favor of more powerful or useful ships, like Yorktown (a powerful fleet carrier) in EN server or Unicorn (a very useful support carrier that can heals the frontline) in Japanese server (Yorktown was given as a launch join reward for EN and Japan gave Unicorn during a campaign to get players).
- Cute Ghost Girl: She's not a ghost but she likes to pretend she's one.
- Fanservice Pack: Her remodel outfit basically has her slightly take off her coat, and her unique outfit has her switch out the whole thing entirely for a long, baggy shirt. Both reveal a rather noticeable bustline. Oddly enough her Halloween skin (by a new artist) slims her down some.
- Hikikomori: Becomes apparent with her "No Cola No Life" skin, where she shows her shut-in, hardcore gamer side of hers.
- Historical In-Joke:
- Her mention of having a different name is a reference to her originally being laid down as Mormacmail, a cargo linernote .
- Her headphones in her retrofit skin have AVG-1 on them, which was her original hull classificationnote
- The "stay-at-home shut-in" aspect of her personality may have been inspired by the fact that she spent most of her wartime career Stateside as a training carrier, with her few voyages to the front lines being limited to aircraft transport. (Though she did deliver the first Marine Corps aircraft to the newly captured and renamed Henderson Field on Guadalcanal; these would form the nucleus of the famed "Cactus Air Force".)
- Her clothing, which is ill-fitting and revealing even by Light Carrier standards, as well as having a plane on her head in her base skin might reference her construction, being a converted liner rather than being constructed as an aircraft carrier, and at that, being the US Navy's first converted aircraft carrier.
- Pants-Free: Her skill activation line makes it clear she is only wearing panties under her shirt and jacket, and her retrofit and "No Cola No Life" skins continue that trend.
- The Prankster: From her secretary lines alone, she swaps the Commander's mail, plays around with glue on his mission rewards, apparently hides their gaming handheld, and schemes of even more pranks if he were to fall asleep.
- Starter Mon: Alongside your chosen starting destroyer as the vanguard, you also start with Long Island as your first main fleet party member.
- Status Buff: On retrofit, she gains the skill Air Support, which boosts the aviation stat of all other carriers and light carriers in the same fleet by up to 15% for the next 8 seconds after she launches an airstrike.
For British version of the class, see Azur Lane Royal Navy.
Bogue (CVE-9)
Voiced by: Koharu Nagata

- ID: No. 071Rarity: NormalArtist: Yumesaki Kaede"Fuu——hah! That was not bad……ahh, excuse me, are you the coach, Commander? Fastball-pitcher Bogue, reporting in!"
- Cooldown Manipulation: Her Quick Launch skill has an up to 15% chance of completely negating the cooldown on her next airstrike and can activate again off of airstrikes that are charged this way.
- Crippling Overspecialization: Subverted since Anti-Submarine Warfare was implemented after launch, so in reality this was a buff to Bogue: She has an absurdly high ASW stat for a light carriernote , reflecting her history as the most successful anti-submarine carrier of the entirety of World War II for any nation. While high ASW for a CVL isn't that impressive compared to any Destroyer, it's something to consider for the backline. Sadly due to her early release, she doesn't also have a skill geared for this like her sister.
- Crutch Character: She's very similar to Long Island gear and skill-wise, but she'll always be a lower rarity level than Long Island. This is more an advantage as it allows her to be limit broken, refitted, and enhanced much easier, and thus extend her value. But in the end, you will still want stronger carriers outside of low level farming.
- Fastball Special: Bogue pitches her planes like baseballs.
- Little Big Sister: If you didn't know the history of the ships, the only hint you'd have that she's older than Chaser, her sister in the Royal Navy, is the fact that the class is named for her.
- Passionate Sports Girl: She's depicted as a pitcher and is always talking about baseball.
- Status Buff: During her retrofit, Bogue gains the skill Anti-Air Command - Main Fleet, which boosts the Anti-Air stat of all backline ships by up to 15%.
- Wearing a Flag on Your Head: She has American-flag themed socks.
Independence (CVL-22)
Voiced by: Haruka Yamazaki

- ID: No. 377Rarity: EliteArtist: ATDAN"Light Carrier, Independence, reporting for duty. Please do not underestimate me as a Light Carrier, do not worry and do leave the missions to me."
- Balance Buff: Got a powerful retrofit in the "Mirror Involution" event which not only gave her a copy of Casablanca's Supporting Wings skill, but also gave her an additional plane launch from each slot. This puts her at 8 planes per launch — the same amount as a typical CV — as a CVL. Furthermore, 4 of those 8 planes are torpedo bombers at 150% efficiency, which gives her some of the highest burst damage among Eagle Union carriers against bosses if she equips Ryuseis.
- Hellish Pupils: Interestingly enough, she has slit pupils, even though there's nothing particularly evil about her.
- Historical In-Joke: Several of her lines have her wondering if she should call Cleveland her older sister or not. As is mentioned in her biography, the USS Independence was originally meant to be the fifth ship in the Cleveland-class, but was re-ordered as a light carrier (all the ships in the Independence class were). She even has a skill that buffs her if she's in a fleet with any of the Cleveland class cruisers.
- Leg Focus: Most of her skins show off her long, shapely legs, as does loading screen artwork featuring her.
- Pun: If you get a little too touchy-feely with her in her "Liberty and Leisure" skin, the Japanese version will have her give you a simple admonishment after she says she is okay with you pushing on her elsewhere. The English translation decides to turn it into this groaner:
- "I appreciate your help with the pushes, but now you're just pushing your luck."
- Retail Therapy: Seemingly so in her "The Independent Line" skin, but not quite, as she goes into sticker shock regarding much of the clothing and can't seem to come to any purchasing decisions without the Commander's help.
- Sexy Slit Dress: The Independent Line is slit up both sides, exposing both legs.
- Shout-Out: In her "Liberty and Leisure" skin, she talks about how Long Island claims yoga can enable you to breathe fire and stretch one's arms. She's not convinced.
- Smash Sisters: Her and any member of the Cleveland class, thanks to her mutual buffing skill with them.
- The Straight and Arrow Path: Her bow rivals Enterprise's in size.
- Support Party Member: Pre-retrofit, she is this to Cleveland class cruisers, giving them additional firepower. Post-retrofit, she is also this to all carriers, both in her own fleet and in other fleets.
- Weapon Specialization:
- She has a skill adding extra efficiency to Eagle Union planes, some of which are pretty powerful in their own right. Only issue would be Torpedo Bombers which isn't a strong suit of the faction and the better ones are event-locked currently.
- The release of Operation Siren and the Gear Lab introduced the Douglas XTB 2 D-1 Skypirate, a powerful new Eagle Union torpedo bomber that outclasses all previous parallel-torpedo bombers. However it is still far outclassed by the Westland Wyvern (which was released at the same time) even without the efficiency bonus, though the Skypirate is far cheaper than the Wyvern.
- TBF Avengers are particularly well-associated with her, as she will always launch a set of them alongside whatever other planes are equipped.
- She has a skill adding extra efficiency to Eagle Union planes, some of which are pretty powerful in their own right. Only issue would be Torpedo Bombers which isn't a strong suit of the faction and the better ones are event-locked currently.
- Wearing a Flag on Your Head: Her main color scheme is the "Red, White and Blue" along with stars, fitting of her name.
- Workout Fanservice: Her "Liberty and Leisure" skin has her performing yoga in a rather loose shirt and a rather short pair of shorts. She frequently asks the Commander to push on her to help her maintain certain difficult poses.
Princeton (CVL-23)
Voiced by: Shiomi Yukina

- ID: No. 473Rarity: EliteArtist: Pavapo"I'm Princeton, Independence class. Tallahassee? I don't mind if you want to call me that."
- A Day in the Limelight: The Sundered Blue event recounts her last stand at the Battle of Leyte Gulf, though Azur Lane's version survives while her historical counterpart sunk.
- Good with Numbers: During Lexington's secretary story, the Commander and Lexington visit Princeton's room and find mathematical equations scrawled over the walls. The Commander's reaction suggests that he's long known she's something of a mathematical savant.
- Hero Worship: For Saratoga, who she fought alongside during the war. Rivaling even Essex's reverence of Enterprise, she mentions Sara multiple times in her voicelines, admiring her attitude, watching her exercise, and even having a photo collection of the idol.
- Historical In-Joke: Similarly to her sister Independence, she was originally meant to be a Cleveland-class ship, and references this in her acquisition line, mentioning her intended name as part of that class, Tallhassee.
- Her Extinguishing Gale skill is triggered when she has Birmingham or at least 3 Eagle Union ships in the fleet and reduces burn damage for the vanguard, referencing how Birmingham led the efforts to fight the fires on Princeton at Leyte Gulf and took considerable damage and casualties doing so.
- Motor Mouth: Several of her quotes implies that she talks very fast and at great length about certain subjects.
- Rose-Haired Sweetie: She has bright pink hair and is quite the Nice Girl.
Langley II (CVL-27)
Voiced by: Haruka Yoshimura

- ID: No. 573Rarity: EliteArtist: Saru"Say hello to the new and improved Eagle Union aircraft carrier, Langley! My fighting and instruction have been perfected. Just you wait and see, Commander. Heheh!"
- Came Back Strong: For a given value of 'strong' given the monsters in the carrier slot nowadays, but compared to her prior role as little more than an Experience Booster, Langley II has competitive stats for her rarity and solid proficiencies on her planes, as well as a pair of solid buffing skills.
- Cleans Up Nicely: Her new black wardrobe and a bit of an Age Lift helps Langley look much more like a proper teacher or secretary compared to her previous incarnation.
- Hot Teacher: She's still the same old Langley, so this is implied.
- Sensei-chan: See above.
- Support Party Member: Downplayed compared to the original Langley existing only as a buffing ship or cheap source of air control, but still there. Her buffing skill now increases accuracy and damage instead of just reload speed, as well as being applicable to full-size carriers as well.
Bataan (CVL-29)
Voiced by: Akane Fujita

- ID: No. 403Rarity: EliteArtist: NIN"Bataan of the Eagle Union's Independence-class, at your service. If you don't mind, when forming a fleet for a sortie... please consider including me! I may not be flawless, but I should be able to handle a combat mission or two!"
- Badass Adorable: Don't let her cute appearance or being bullied by a tiny Manjuu chick (in her chibi idle animation) fool you, she's an incredibly effective light carrier.
- The Cutie: You will find no carrier cuter than her, exemplified with her casual attire skin, which is her wearing pajamas and a cat hoodie.
- Kind Hearted Cat Lover: Is extremely nice and kind, and is never seen without her Hellcat, which she treats as a mixture of a pet and a stuffed animal. Her pajama skin has her wearing a cat hoodie and has what appear to be cat spirits around her.
- Nice Girl: When if your affinity is low, rather than being mad or disappointed in you, she wants to work with you to make you better.
- Shout-Out: She mentions that she likes to watch as her plans "come together".
- The Strategist: Besides her cuteness and her niceness, a major part of her personality is planning, to the point that her stranger line has her comment how all the Commander's operations are going according to plan, and has her and the commander preparing the plan for next month, and one of her secretary lines has her comment on how much she likes it when she makes a plan and watches it come together, which she even refers to as "my way".
- Support Party Member: Her "one for all" skill has her boosting other carrier's reload speeds while boosting the backline's AA while alive. Unlike most buffs, this demands a non-flagship spot.
- Weapon Specialization: The F6F Hellcat, the same plane she holds in her normal art. One of her skills boosts its efficiency and enables an up to 75% chance of launching even more Hellcats. Given the plane is one of the best fighters, this has a considerable effect.
Casablanca (CVE-55)
Voiced by: Ikumi Hasegawa

- ID: No. 447Rarity: RareArtist:"Good morning to you. Escort carrier Casablanca, reporting in. I shall support the fleet to the best of my abilities, so you may rest assured."
- Boring, but Practical: Despite her low rarity, Casablanca is considered a top-tier light carrier thanks to her skill "Supporting Wings" who gives CVs and CVLs on her fleet an increase in AVI up to 12%, RLD up to 10% and reduce the load time of a first airstrike by up to 25%. She can also boost the AVI and RLD of CVs and CVLs that are not in her fleet by up to 8%. Since most CLs and CVLs are heavy hitters (Enterprise, Essex, retrofitted Saratoga and Centaur to name a few) this helps them further in the endgame. With the inclusion of Operation Siren, this skill affects all other fleets if at a slightly weaker effect.
- Covert Pervert: A mild case. She's fond of romance novels, and she gets flustered when the Commander nearly catches her reading one while serving as a secretary.
- Bookworm: She loves to read and apparently is part of a reading club along with Ranger and Gloucester.
- Hidden Buxom: Downplayed but her cheerleader skin boasts curves not evident in her base skin, suggesting her normal manner has some sort of suppression/binding.
- Massive Numbered Siblings: As mentioned in her Acquisition line, the Casablanca class included fifty ships once wartime production ceased, making it the single largest aircraft carrier class in history.
- Nice Girl: Takes something of shine but it does have limits with her Dissapointed/Upset line wondering in a sad tone if you were the greatest hurtle.
- Shout-Out: Several of her lines make a reference to Casablanca, including "Here's looking at you, kid."
- Stop Poking Me!: She gets incredibly flustered in her base skin before and after Oathing (with the latter saying not to do in public) Yet her Cheerleader skin has her react as if she's used to it.
- Support Party Member: She not only buffs the aviation and reload stats of the carriers/light carriers in her fleet but also that of the other fleet's (at a lesser effect).
Aircraft Carriers (CV)

Nautilus (SS-168)
Voiced by: Akiho Suzumoto

- ID: No. 519Rarity: EliteArtist:"Nice to meet you, Commander. I'm Nautilus from the Eagle Union... Um, did I scare you? A-actually, I've been following you this whole time, so I thought you already noticed me..."
- Historical In-Joke:
- She mentions she hopes her torpedoes are not duds this time around. The real life ship had notoriously bad luck with malfunctioning torpedoes. note
- Nautilus following the Commander is actually this as well. She was the first ship to set sights on the Kidō Butai as they were heading towards Midway. Eventually sighted, Arashi was left to deal with Nautilus, but on her rush to rejoin the Carrier Fleet, she was tracked by Enterprise's dive bomber air wing, led by Wade McClusky — which led to famous "Five Minutes of Fate" that ended with the sinking of the 1st and 2nd CarDiv — all that while Nautilus was still following Arashi.
- Overlapping with a Shout-Out to 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea: Her rigging's shape is a nod to both her submarine class and what her namesake submarine in the book was initially mistaken for (a narwhal).
- Stalker with a Crush: Not actually stalking, she just likes to follow the Commander around, and eventually falls in love with the Commander.
- Cute Little Fang: All of them sport one (except for Flasher, whose artwork doesn't show her mouth), and all five are energetic and cutesy.
Albacore (SS-218)
Voiced by: Atsumi Tanezaki

- ID: No. 358Rarity: Super RareArtist:"Ta-da! I’m Albacore from the Eagle Union! Ah, did I surprise you? Sorry about that~ Starting today I’m going to be a part of your fleet, so it’s nice to meet you~"
- The Ace: One skill increases damage against a variety of enemies compared to most subs' single type and her character story has her among other things teaching other subs stretches and leading Long Island and some other gamer ships to victory in a game.
- Barely There Swimwear: Possibly the girl with the smallest amount of clothing in the whole game.
- Blackmail: Some of her lines have her doing that.
- The Dreaded: To Taihou, quite justified as Albacore was the one to sink her.
- Historical In-Joke: She's confused as to how Taihou sunk so easily, to the point that she has no idea why Taihou sunk at all. In real life, while the damage Albacore's torpedo caused was technically responsible for Taihou's sinking, the main reason she sunk was due to her chief damage control officer messing up, causing the ship to explodenote .
- Odd Friendship: With Taihou. Despite being responsible for Taihou's sinking (and her subsequent jump scare shenanigans), the two get along surprisingly well at Azur Lane based on event and side-story dialogue.
- Pants-Positive Safety: She has a turret tucked into her bikini bottoms, stretching her bottoms away from her hips due to the weight.
- The Prankster: Is fond of playing some pranks but takes some extra care in them so with a bucket of water style prank, she sets it up so only the commander's head gets wet.
- Stealth Hi/Bye: Is very good at sneaking up on people and when she does so to Taihou, she faints.
Bluegill (SS-242)
Voiced by: Yukina Shuto

- ID: No. 446Rarity: EliteArtist: DanGo"I've finally found one! My own commander! ...Hehehe, from now on, you're Bluegill's commander!"
- Cuddle Bug: Her voice lines after Friendly are all about her hugging you, and she does it so often it makes the commander (you) pretty embarrassed.
- Nice Girl: Is still very kind to you in her disappointed line, telling you to go enjoy the sunlight for a bit.
Cavalla (SS-244)
Voiced by: Yurika Kubo

- ID: No. 402Rarity: Super RareArtist:"I'm Cavalla, the Eagle Union submarine! I'll make this fleet famous through glorious victories, so just you wait, Commander!"
- Barely There Swimwear: Joins Albacore in the skimpy department, although she still has more clothing than Albacore. Her schoolgirl outfit is way more sensible by comparison.
- Historical In-Joke: She has a number of them, such as one of her skills referencing the sinking of the Shoukaku, another referring to the time where she helped the Thresher.
- Older Than They Look: Her dislike of being treated like a kid likely has its roots in the fact as a museum ship, she's still alive and well today, even outliving the later built sub with her name and before then she saw action up until 1969.
- Sean Connery Is About to Shoot You: Her standard art has her pointing a handheld bofors gun directly at you.
Dace (SS-247)
Voiced by: Akiko Hasegawa

- ID: No. 342Rarity: EliteArtist: Kaede Yumesaki"Hi~ Are you the Commander? Union submarine Dace, reporting for duty~ So, how many greeting torpedoes do you want me to launch?"
- The Ditz: She seems to have issues with remember somethings like being a Gato-class. It's unknown if her torpedo obsession has anything to do with this tendency.
- Gun Nut: Really likes torpedos, from firing them off to sleeping with one as one would a big plushie or pillow.
- Leotard of Power: Her default outfit is a competition swimsuit with a huge cutout from chest to navel.
- Shout-Out: Her swimsuit might be a reference to Misty's infamous swimsuit in Chapter 2 of The Electric Tale of Pikachu
Flasher (SS-249)
Voiced by: Ruka Fukagawa

- ID:Rarity: Super RareArtist: NAMYO"Hello, Commander. I'm the Gato-class submarine Flasher, SS-249… *sniffle*… I-I'm crying because… w-well, not because I'm sick or scared or anything. It's just that I… *sob*… shed tears when I'm moved."
- The Ace: In life, she was one of the most successful American submarines of WWII, with 21 Japanese ships sunk totaling over 100,000 tons, earning her a Presidential Unit Citation and six battle stars. She also survived all the way to the end of the war. In-game, she has become one of the most powerful Eagle Union submarines introduced so far, especially if paired with at least one of her Gato class sisters.
- Badass Adorable: Bashful and cute as a button, but assign her as flagship of a sub fleet with one of her Gato sisters, and her torpedoes will absolutely shred mob and boss fleets alike.
- Companion Cube: Her sunfish plushie. Its expressions even match hers!
- Improbable Weapon User: That giant anchor she's sitting on, in her character image? Her in-game sprite likes to swing it around as a melee weapon!
-
Moe: Tends to be doted upon, due to her being Prone to Tears. - Prone to Tears: Played with. It's not that she's timid or anything, she just… breaks out in tears very easily.
- Textile Work Is Feminine: She created her outfit and sunfish plushie herself, and admits in one of her idle lines that she likes to create cosplay clothes for others when not in combat.
Archerfish (SS-311)
Voiced by: Hikaru Akao

- ID: No. 513Rarity: Super RareArtist: かにビーム" Mm hmm~ So you're the Commander? Teehee. You're a total hottie, so wanna go out with me? Like right now? ...Heh, just kidding~ You should see how red your face is~ Ahaha, you're a funny one~!"
- Gyaru Girl: Her appearance fits the bill; blonde hair, tanned skin, short skirt. Not only that, but her personality especially matches.
- Odd Friendship: With Shinano, as shown in the Mirror Involution event (where Archerfish was the only Eagle Union ship that could understand Shinano's long-winded way of speaking) and her friendly voiceline, where she mentions playing with Shinano's tails when she's sleeping.
- Sexual Euphemism: Being quite the tease, she does this relatively often. Highlights include asking the commander to "gimme YOUR goodies", saying she and the commander will get up to some hot stuff on her oath voiceline, making a pulling out joke, and even her "Pledge" talks about making hot stuff with the Commander.
- The Tease: Calling the commander a hottie on first greeting, suggesting that the commander eat soup straight from her fingers, saying the commander can earn the right to grope her, and even asking about Albacore's teasing "for future reference"... it's quite easy to say that she's one of the biggest teases on the port.
Repair Ships (AR)
Vestal (AR-4)
Voiced by: Maia (Japanese), Megan Shipman (English), Karla Tovar (Latin American Spanish)

- ID: No. 080Rarity: EliteArtist: Saru"It's nice to meet you, Commander. I'm the repair ship Vestal. I was once little Enterprise's exclusive caretaker. Seeing everyone live healthily is my joy."
- Lethal Chef: Maryland's login line has her talk about the smell of gunpowder before realizing that it's just Vestal cooking, which makes one wonder. The implication is contrasted by Enterprise in her 'Slow Ahead' chapter boasting about her (and Grim) being taught to cook by her and she with the starters make quite edible snacks.
- There is also opposing bits. One being Enterprise's oath skin lines refer to Vestal having taught her well and 'Slow Ahead' having Enterprise say the same thing and the resulting food having no ill effects.
- An in-game comic ultimately confirms that it's a subversion: her cooking is as loud as it is tasty.
- The Medic: One of only two repair ships in the game so far, the other being Akashi of the Sakura Empire. Her main skill heals an ally at critical HP (only once per battle) and heals even more HP when used on Enterprisenote . Her other skill increases the party's stock of emergency repair kits outside of battle.
- Not the Intended Use: Repair Ships like Vestal are often not used for their intended purpose (repairing your ships during battle) due to the fact their healing power is vastly inferior to other ships like Unicorn, Shouhou or even Ryuuhou; they are used as a mobile anti-air platform, literally, due to the fact that they have three auxiliary slots and two anti-air gun ones. Simply give Vestal (or Akashi) three High Performance Anti-Air Radar and two gold AA guns and she will become a very powerful AA ship that helps players a lot in higher worlds infested by planes.
- Nun Too Holy: Her outfit is based on Catholic nun habit, including rosary mast, however she's closer to Hospital Hottie, and seems to have the hots for Enterprise.
- Sexual Euphemism: While her tone never sounds overly flirtatious, it's hard to not read into her affection lines a least a little. As her affection rises she goes from mildly chastising the commander to being okay with treating them to some "spe~cial~ ser~vice~". By the time she's in love she's taken it upon herself to become their 24/7 personal doctor and when married she declares that now they can no longer reject her nursing, insisting that there's no reason for embarrassment and that they can leave everything to her.
- Shout-Out:
- Seems to have borrowed DanMachi goddess Hestia's boob ribbon... This is actually a bit of Historical In-Joke, as the word "Vestal" is a reference to the Vestal Virgins
, virgin Roman priestesses of the goddess Vesta, who was the Roman counterpart of the Greek goddess Hestia. - Her swimsuit skin is even outright called "Refreshing Hestia" and has the same color scheme as the Hestia of DanMachi, so it's quite likely none of this is a coincidence.
- Seems to have borrowed DanMachi goddess Hestia's boob ribbon... This is actually a bit of Historical In-Joke, as the word "Vestal" is a reference to the Vestal Virgins
- Team Mom: While she mentions that she was Enterprise's exclusive caretaker, she is also concerned about the well-being of her fellow shipgirls. In the anime, she is implied to be the exclusive caretaker of the Yorktown-class sisters, as she is seen tending to a crippled Yorktown. She also reprimands Enterprise for her reckless behavior, and Hornet for her table manners.
