    The Four Destroyers (In General)
  • Great Offscreen War: All five of them are seemingly individuals the Dark God has empowered for reasons that haven't been revealed and are implied to have played a major part in the destruction of their home worlds.
  • Horsemen of the Apocalypse: It's in the name. They're the Dark God's version of them, being plucked from various alternate worlds to serve as possibly a future obstacle to Ozma and co.
  • Outside-Context Problem: Whenever they do show up in the story (strongly implied to be possibly after the Fall of Beacon), they're definitely not going to be a threat that's native to RWBY canon, which may be the point.
  • Where I Was Born and Razed: Implied, with all five of them and the second half of the opening of Before the Whims of Fate is implied to take place in Bellona's home world.

    The Ancient One
The most mysterious of the four 'core' Destroyers. Wears an eldritch Mask and hooded robes, and says nothing at any point in their brief appearance. Even blatantly addressed as "the strangest of them all" by the Dark God.

  • The Faceless: Explicitly mentioned to be wearing a mask.
  • The Old Gods: Implied to possibly worship a variant of some unspecified Eldritch deity.

    Azrael, the Godhunter
The man in front a' us, he described you as a godless bastard. What convictions were your crusade started for? Really, I want to know.
A female destroyer, heavily implied to have played a part in some undescribed Christian-themed apocalypse, and seemingly has a dislike for Bellona. Beyond that, little else is known about her.

  • Church Militant: Implied to believe at least superficially in a Christian-esque deity, with the Dark God supposedly posing as the leader of her faith, which is how he played her into doing his bidding.
  • Dark Action Girl: Implied, even if she hasn't fought anyone on the story yet.

    Kalpa, the Pain Eater
A male destroyer, resembling a Buddhist Monk. Described as starved and gaunt.

Mara, the End of the Cycle
Another female destroyer, implied to be Hindi in origin.

    Bellona, the Godless
Beware the woman who would kill a god.
The fifth destroyer, the one who refused to continue in the Dark God's service.

  • Beat Still, My Heart: On the receiving end of this, courtesy of the Dark God.
  • BFS: In her first appearance, she's walking down the stairs from heaven holding Michael's Flaming Sword.
  • Death Seeker: Implied.
The silver city is in flames and ruins, as this world is. Now, the end I await?
  • Straw Nihilist: Possibly, given her epithet of 'The Godless', but she herself implies her motivations were deeper than that, before getting her Motive Rant cut off by the Dark God.
  • Sixth Ranger: She was supposedly intended to be one for the main four, but when she refused, the Dark God seemingly killed her for it.
  • Split Personality: Stated to have some form of this and it's also strongly implied that the "heart" torn out of her was her Helpless Good Side.
  • Woobie, Destroyer of Worlds: Implied.
    I didn't punish humanity. I mercy-killed it.
