Adaptational Badass: Thanks to a power up he received while being revied in Earthland, he has been promoted to the rank of Ninth Espada, and now has his own unique cero.
Adaptational Nice Guy: He's no hero, but he absolutely didn't have to save Wendy from falling debrie after losing his battle with Gajeel. However, he does so, not wanting to see her unnecessarily injured.
Character Development: He's actually taken on Ikkaku's habit of asking an opponent's name before fighting them, now knowing full well that he could die in any battle.
Worthy Opponent: Wanted nothing more than to find one of these during his stay in Magnolia, rather than simply keep Wendy Hostage. Fortunately, he finds one in Gajeel.
- Coincidentally, Gajeel dismissed Edorad as such due to being the weakest member of the Espada. However, after a close battle with him in his base form (requiring his iron dragon scales to turn the tide) and then getting thrashed by Edorad once he uses Resureccion, Gajeel considers Edorad one as well.
