First Generation Contestants

    Ace
  • Ace began the series as a rude intellectual of sorts, feeling like he was obviously the smartest among the contestants and that he was going to win no matter what the others did. Due to this, he quickly became a dictator-like leader for his team and acted as one of the earliest antagonists of the series.
  • Phobia Factor: After failing a test meant for people of a far younger age than him, Ace was mocked by his teammates for this, as he had spent the entire challenge insulting the rest of them and claiming they were useless. This event causes him to become notably more aggravated at the show itself and become even more hostile and controlling towards his teammates.
  • Who Can You Trust?: After Alfred stood up to Ace for his horrible attitude and terrible treatment of his teammates, the latter was quick to target him, believing his teammates would side with him over Alfred in the end due to his status as their leader and believing he was more useful. However, instead Ace was ultimately eliminated, shocking him as he proceeded to tell them they'd regret voting him out. Soon after he said said this though, Alfred asked Ace why he acted so cruelly towards his teammates in general, and that if he acted that way towards everyone. Ace quickly corrected he was far kinder to his family, leading Alfred to ask why he wouldn't treat them with the same respect. Ultimately, at the end of their conversation, Ace promises he'd at least attempt to be kinder, and the two leave on affable terms.
  • After the Dock of Shame: While not that noticeable, Ace is at least a decent bit nicer during this episode, having officially become friends with Alfred, and usually trying to at least stop himself from saying anything too negative towards the others.
  • The Very Last Episode, Really!: By the end of the episode, after some teasing from Alfred, Ace does admit that he considers him a good friend, and soon after, actually considers what Alfred says about Freya now being single. You would never see the original Ace doing this.
