- Gojira and Godzilla: King of the Monsters! have Godzilla, a giant dinosaur terrorizing Tokyo.
- Godzilla Raids Again has Godzilla returning to cause havoc, though this time he also has an opponent in Anguirus, until the former kills the latter and becomes the sole Big Bad.
- Rodan has a Big Bad Ensemble, with Big Bads for both the first and second half of the film. In the first half of the movie, the Meganulon, massive prehistoric larvae with a taste for human flesh, are the villains. In the second half, it's the Rodans, who promptly establish themselves as more dangerous by eating the Meganulon.
- Mothra has Clark Nelson, who by kidnapping the Shobijin triggers the release of Mothra.
- King Kong vs. Godzilla has Godzilla proving to be the bigger threat between the two.
- Mothra vs. Godzilla has Godzilla appearing again to cause havoc, though Jiro Torahata and Kumayama also stir up quite a bit of trouble.
- Ghidorah, the Three-Headed Monster, marking the point where Godzilla began to undergo a Heel–Face Turn has the world-ending dragon King Ghidorah appear to destroy all life on Earth, forcing Godzilla, Rodan and Mothra to all team up to fight him.
- Invasion of Astro-Monster has the Controller of Planet X as the mastermind behind the Xiliens' Alien Invasion, though its King Ghidorah who is the primary threat to Godzilla and an instrumental part of the Xiliens' plan.
- Ebirah, Horror of the Deep has the Red Bamboo, who enslave the natives of an island and later unleash Ebirah to take on Godzilla.
- Son of Godzilla has Kumonga, who seeks to devour Godzilla's son Minya.
- Destroy All Monsters has the Kilaak Queen, who brainwashes all of Earth's kaiju to conquer Earth for her. King Ghidorah also comes back again as the main threat to Godzilla.
- All Monsters Attack has Gabara, along with his kaiju counterpart in Ichiro's dream.
- Godzilla vs. Hedorah has Hedorah, a kaiju made out of pollution seeking to pollute the world.
- Godzilla vs. Gigan has Kubota and Fumio Sudo as the ones behind the Alien Invasion this time around, with their kaijus King Ghidorah and Gigan serving as the threats opposed to Godzilla.
- Godzilla vs. Megalon has Emperor Antonio, who seeks to destroy humanity as reprisal for them polluting Earth's oceans, with Megalon and Gigan serving as the means with which he intends to enact his plan.
- Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla has Kuronuma, who creates Mechagodzilla to turn the world against Godzilla, though of course its Mechagodzilla who serves as the direct foe to Godzilla in this movie.
- Terror of Mechagodzilla has Dr. Mafune and Mugal, who work to together to reconstruct Mechagodzilla, with both it and Titanosaurus serving as Godzilla's main foes.
Heisei Era Films
- The Return of Godzilla has Godzilla, restored to his original villainous role to wreak havoc.
- Godzilla vs. Biollante has Biollante, a plant kaiju created from Godzilla's cells which begins to cause havoc right after its creation, though SSS9 and John Lee also cause problems too.
- Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah has the Futurians, though King Ghidorah is insrumental in their plan to destroy Japan and defeat Godzilla. After the Futurians are killed and Ghidorah defeated, Godzilla becomes the Big Bad, because unsurprisingly a giant animal come force of nature/vengeful god doesn't exactly subscribe to the whole Enemy Mine concept.
- Godzilla and Mothra: The Battle for Earth has Battra, a kaiju whose objective is to protect Earth, even if it means annihilating most of humanity, though Takeshi Tomokane also causes many of the problems in the film due to his reckless destruction of the environment and later kidnapping the Cosmos.
- Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla II has General Aso, whose kidnapping of Baby Godzilla spurs Godzilla and Rodan's rampages across Japan, with Mechagodzilla serving as the foe opposite of them.
- Godzilla vs. SpaceGodzilla has SpaceGodzilla, who arrives on Earth planning to kill Godzilla and Take Over the World.
- Godzilla vs. Destoroyah has Destoroyah, a creature created from the Oxygen Destroy used to destroy the original Godzilla, who brings about the death of Godzilla.
Millennium Era Films
- Godzilla 2000 has Orga, a creature created from copying Godzilla's DNA that causes havoc across the globe, and Mitsuo Katagiri, whose determination to kill Godzilla causes quite a bit of destruction.
- Godzilla vs. Megaguirus has Megaguirus, a kaiju that emerges from an attempt to kill Godzilla with an artificial black hole.
- Godzilla, Mothra, King Ghidorah: Giant Monsters All-Out Attack! has Godzilla, who in this movie is a being possessed by the souls of those who died in World War II who comes to Japan to wreak havoc.
- Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla has Godzilla. Mechagodzilla in this movie is created to halt Godzilla's destructive rampage.
- Godzilla: Tokyo S.O.S. has Godzilla, who returns following his defeat against Mechagodzilla in the previous film to rampage once again.
- Godzilla: Final Wars has X, who leads the Xilien invasion of Earth after taking command of the Xiliens by force, with Monster X and Gigan as the main foes to Godzilla and Mothra.
Reiwa Era Films
- Shin Godzilla has Godzilla, restored once more to his roots as a rampaging giant beast.
American Films
- Godzilla (1998) has Zilla, an Expy of Godzilla who attacks Manhattan.
- MonsterVerse
- Godzilla (2014) has the MUTOs whose rampage eventually triggers Godzilla to arise to put an end to them.
- Kong: Skull Island: A Big Bad Ensemble forms between the Skullcrawlers, reptilian creatures that killed Kong's family (reducing him to the Last of His Kind) and are the main threat he faces on Skull Island, and Colonel Preston Packard, a colonel whose desire to avenge his fellow soldiers (whom Kong attacked and killed in a territorial dispute) corrupts him into a General Ripper with a Moby Schtick against the giant ape.
- Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019) has King Ghidorah. Alan Jonah and Emma Russell kickstart the plot by unsealing King Ghidorah, though Ghidorah proves to be a far greater threat than either of them, awakening the other Titans across the globe and sending them out to rampage to terraform Earth to his own liking.
- Godzilla vs. Kong has numerous contenders for the role of main antagonist, including Godzilla himself, who has started attacking cities seemingly at random. As it turns out, he's actually trying to destroy the Apex Corporation's attempt to activate MechaGodzilla, which is powered by the still-alive brain of Ghidorah's last remaining head. During the climax, Mecha-G comes online and Ghidorah takes control of it, destroying Apex and forcing Godzilla and Kong to team up against him.
- Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire has [[Erudite Orangutan the Skar King]], who not only oppresses Kong and his species, but also plans on invading the Surface World after growing bored with his dominion over Hollow Earth.
