Bare Your Midriff / Video Games

Go To

  • Leslie Ferrarti, resident Ms. Fanservice of Arc Rise Fantasia, bares hers
  • Shaundi is the most famous example from the Saints Row franchise, though several other characters (including, optionally, the Boss) do as well.
  • Nicolette Duclare in the first Deus Ex videogame, along with several other female characters, including Janey, and Sandra Renton due to Clothing Damage.
  • Vikki Grimm in the Army Men series.
  • Atelier
  • Enter the Matrix has Niobe baring her midriff in the post office levels of the game.
  • Classic example, Tifa from Final Fantasy VII. Also Yuffie, though admittedly her midriff-baring is more noticeable.
  • Final Fantasy II: White Mage Minwu in some renditions of the character. Leila as she is a pirate girl.
  • Princess Sara in the remake of Final Fantasy III. Additionally, Refia's Thief outfit. It's the only job that has clothing for her that fits this trope. So if you find yourself wanting to keep her a Thief despite the availability of statistically-better jobs, well, you're not alone.
  • Kuja from Final Fantasy IX. He's a male, OK?
  • Final Fantasy X-2. Most dress spheres contain varying levels of Stripperiffic-ness. Rikku and Paine's default outfits show their navels for all to see.
  • Final Fantasy XII, it's standard fashion for the party aside from Balthier and Penelo — Vaan, Ashe, Basch and Fran all reveal their midriffs to various extents, Fran going straight for Stripperiffic. Reks' armor also bares his midriff, and he pays for it with his life when "Basch" shanks him in his exposed navel. In the sequel Revenant Wings, and Final Fantasy Tactics A2, Penelo makes up for being left out in the original game.
  • Advertisement:
  • Vanille, Fang and Lebreau of Final Fantasy XIII. Lightning's uniform usually covers her up, but with suitable posing she not only shows her midriff, but clearly enough to see she has a navel piercing.
  • Dissidia Final Fantasy and it's prequel Dissidia 012, Tifa, Kuja and Vaan return. Lightning is also back and her downloadable outfit shows off her midriff more, Bartz and Terra also get in on the trope in their own downloadable outfits.
  • Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors: Almost every female character has a midriff-baring main outfit or DLC outfit.
    • Lu Xun is a male example.
    • Ginchiyo Tachibana would be the female subversion. In fact, she's the only female character that wears full chain and plate in the games, being covered in armor neck to toe, which should be noted here if only for the rarity value.
      • Played straight in Warriors Orochi 3 in which she can wear Nu Wa's outfit via DLC, or one of her DLC outfits in Samurai Warriors 4 exposes her midriff.
    • In Yueying,s case, she never directly exposes her midriff, but her default outfit in Dynasty Warriors 7 has a black-transparent part and luckily it is the one which does the job of covering her stomach. Therefore player can directly sees her entire midriff.
  • Several of the characters in Fate/Extella: The Umbral Star have revealing outfits either by default, or through alternate costumes or DLC.
    • Nero becomes this when she transforms into Saber Venus.
    • Altera's default outfit shows off a lot of skin.
  • Seifer, originally of Final Fantasy VIII fame, bares the lower half in Kingdom Hearts II.
  • Alisa Ilinichina Amiella from God Eater.
    • Sakuya's outfit in the first game.
      • Kota's outfit in the first game is a male example.
    • Nana's outfit in God Eater 2.
  • The twins who work for Adrian Malprave, Bebe and Bella in Agent Under Fire. They only have a short appearence in the game, but still...
  • Austrailian intelligence agent Alura McCall wears a midriff-baring outfit during the final few levels of the game Video Game/Nightfire.
  • Serena St. Germaine wears a tank top that shows her belly in Everything or Nothing.
    • All of the girls have alternate outfits to unlock as you progress through the game each one showing their stomachs.
  • Pepper Box in Evolution Worlds.
  • The female protagonist of Grand Theft Auto Online can get many outfits that show her belly.
  • Suzuka from Super Robot Wars OG Saga: Endless Frontier, even so far as it being her only source of sex appeal, because as far as her chest goes... she's got nothing.
  • Resident Evil
  • Several Neverwinter Nights outfits fit this trope. One community expansion, the Shadowlords/Dreamcatcher/Demon arc, has a female character (Anera for those following along at home) whose favored suit of armor is a ragged scale mail shirt that leaves her stomach exposed.
  • Jade Empire has Silk Fox, whose civilian outfit exposes her belly. Then there's the Player Character Wu.
  • The King of Fighters: Athena likes to do this. Also Blue Mary, Angel, Vanessa, Leona, Iori and Benimaru. In fact, in various KOF games, three of them have a special ending picture as "Bellybutton-showing team".
  • BlazBlue has both Makoto Nanaya and Mu-12 doing this as well as Kokonoe, but the originator was Bang Shishigami. In Chrono Phantasma, Noel dons a new outfit that shows off her belly, and Azrael is one jacket shy of being a Walking Shirtless Scene.
  • The Elite Beat Divas. And their Ouendan counterparts.
  • Rayne from the BloodRayne series. As well as a few female enemies in Blood Rayne 2
  • Etna from Disgaea has an outfit that prominently displays her navel, but then it's hard not to when you're wearing what amounts to a two-piece.
    • Male warriors from the first Disgaea game. Second game, they are shirtless. Female warriors wear only a thick belt for a top. Sword maidens wear breast bandages under an open gi top. Kunoichi swear really short gi tops stopping just below their breasts, baring their bellies all around.
    • Hanako wears a white tube top and pink shorts which also prominently display her belly.
  • Advance Wars has Sami, Lash and to a lesser degree Rachel wearing outfits that show their bellybuttons, as well as naval commander Drake.
    • Of course, Drake's belly button has more to do with his paunch and not caring about niceties like tucking in shirts than Fanservice.
    • Lin in Days of Ruin also shows her stomach off.
  • The Space Marine player character from Doom is usually depicted as having the abdomen area of his uniform ripped off by demons (same goes for his knee). Because the most well-known image of him is in DOOM's low-res title screen, most people think that his uniform and armor were issued with an abdominal cutout (which common sense ought to quickly identify as a profoundly stupid design for military gear).
  • The World Ends with You has Shiki Misaki, at least as long as she looks like her friend, Eri. For that matter, Eri herself. Nao. Some of the female shopkeepers, such as Tigre Punks at Molco and Edoga the Shop at 104, to name a couple. Many of the other NPCs.
  • Judith in Tales of Vesperia.
  • Much like Judith above, the very busty Myuria from Star Ocean: The Last Hope.
  • In My Sims Kingdom, your character's friend Lyndsay wears an outfit that bares her midriff. Your character, if female, can earn outfits over the course of the game, including a duplicate of Lyndsay's, which does the same for that character. On the other hand, it seems that nobody has a navel, which may be something to contemplate.
  • Super Mario Bros. series:
    • Peach and Daisy both wear midriff-baring jerseys in the Mario Strikers games.
    • From the somewhat related WarioWare series, Mona's first outfit.
    • Tiny Kong's grown-up redesign shows off her midriff as well.
  • Tekken:
    • Michelle Chang does this in her P2 costume in 2 and Tag. It is not her Native costume, though (that goes to Julia). Her Native costume in Tag 2, however, does show her midriff.
    • Jun Kazama's P1 costume in 2 and Tag noticeably exposes her belly. Kind of jarring, considering that she is supposed to be a wholesome spiritual gal.
    • A male example is Eddy Gordo, whose athletic getup features a sleeveless crop top.
    • Julia Chang is this in both of her 3 and Tag costumes. From 4 onward, she has at least one midriff barring costume, except for Tag 2, where she goes by the wrestling alter-ego Jaycee.
    • Ling Xiaoyu's P2 costume in 4.
    • Asuka Kazama's casual outfit is a mild example. Her vest covers her navel, but is unzipped to the top, and there is nothing but a bra inside.
    • Resident Stripperiffic Christie Monteiro either bares her belly or her thighs in her costumes.
    • Zafina's ethnic costume has this. Like Jasmine, her part of the world is known for their modesty.
    • From 6 onward, just like their male counterparts' shirtless option, all female characters can be customized to become this.
  • Talim from the SoulCalibur series. And (considering the series) not in a Stripperiffic way either, surprisingly enough.
    • Seung Mina does this, too.
      • Tira in III, as well as Xianghua and Ivy in IV and VI.
  • Lilica of Arcana Heart, especially in one of her win poses where she whips off her vest/sleeveless jacket thing, leaving her clad only in her sports bra and cycling shorts.
    • And Scharlachrot from Arcana Heart 3 has a midriff baring outfit.
    • And now we can add Minori from the Six Stars update to the mix.
  • Most characters in the Golden Sun series don't even show their elbows and knees. Fanservice is probably the only good explanation for Karst's choice in outfit.
  • Interestingly, in the Fire Emblem series, this occurs not only with female characters but often with males of the Thief or Assassin classes, like Sothe (Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn) and Jaffar (The Blazing Blade).
  • Kisala and Lilika from Rogue Galaxy.
  • Most of the female characters in the Jak series.
  • Joanna Dark's outfit when she is in the [censored] snow in Perfect Dark Zero.
  • World of Warcraft:
    • It's a popular style among female night elf, blood elf, and draenor NPCs. In general, armor sets will sometimes alter slightly depending on the gender of the wearer, most often in the case of showing off a little midriff for female characters. Of course, a select few sets of armor take this a step further.
    • Several major characters have this, notably Sylvanas Windrunner and Jaina Proudmoore. Averted in Legion for Sylvanas as her armor now covers her midriff before she becomes Warchief.
  • Street Fighter
    • Sakura leans toward crop-top versions of her seifuku in the various games.
    • Juri wears a half tank top.
    • Karin shows a little bit of her bellybutton in some of her moves, and official artworks.
    • Elena wears naught but a bikini.
    • Rose's DLC gypsy outfit in Street Fighter IV.
    • Ibuki's second DLC costume in Super Street Fighter IV shows her belly button too.
    • Crimson Viper's default and first alternate outfits in SF IV, the alternate moreso than the default.
    • Laura from Street Fighter V wears a knotted shirt that has this effect. It applies to both of her alts as well.
    • Alex from Street Fighter III is a male example. He's normally a Walking Shirtless Scene, but both of his alternate costumes in SFV have him wearing undersized shirts that expose his navel. Even in SFIII, the muscle shirt he rips off in one of his intros is far too short for him.
  • Darkstalkers
    • Felicia, who bares her midriff and a WHOLE LOT more due to her Fur Bikini.
    • Morrigan changes into a mini-skirt and crop top outfit as a win pose.
  • Viola from Eternal Sonata.
  • Leafos from Viva Piñata. (However, while her bellybutton shows in the manual, it doesn't in the actual game.) The post office worker. The hunter, Gretchen Fetchen. Petula, of Paper Pets.
  • Albel Nox of Star Ocean: Till the End of Time bears his midriff, which, combined with his bi-color Anime Hair and douchebag personality, makes for some serious Mr. Fanservice.
  • Crash Bandicoot: Tawna in Crash Boom Bang, Liz the Trophy Girl in Crash Team Racing, and Coco Bandicoot starting with Crash Nitro Kart.
  • Yukari's and Mitsuru's swimsuit costumes in Persona 3, consisting of a bikini top and either daisy dukes or a sarong, respectively, as well as the High-Cut Armor/Battle Panties.
    • In Portable, the Female Protagonist has her version, a standard bikini, top and bottom.
    • In Persona 4: Arena, one of Mitsuru's DLC colors (based on Litchi Faye-Ling has the front of her costume use the same tone as her skin, creating this effect.
  • Dark Chronicle's Monica can earn costumes such as a Cat Girl bikini (with tiger stripes) or her own Princess gown, which is something out of Arabian Nights.
  • In Oni, some of Konoko's outfits are like this.
  • Try to guess what all three commando units from Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3, Yuriko Omega(Empire) Special Agent Tanya(Allies) and Natasha Volkova (Soviets) have in common.
  • Pokémon:
    • In the remakes of Pokémon Gold and Silver (though they're more like Crystal remakes), HeartGold and SoulSilver, Sabrina from Pokémon changed to casual wear.
    • Not to mention Flannery, Gardenia, Lucy, Dahlia, Phoebe, Skyla, Shelly (and all female Team Aqua Grunts), Female Swimmers, Battle/Crush Girls, Beauties in Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire, Misty in Pokémon Red and Blue/Yellow and FireRed/LeafGreen, and Karen in HeartGold/SoulSilver.
    • Rui of Pokémon Colosseum has it in the Japanese version.
    • Miror B. wore a midriff-baring outfit in Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness.
    • In Pokémon Ranger we have Pinchers Admin Blue Eyes in Guardian Signs and Sinis Trio member Lavana in Shadows of Almia. Tiffany from the original, however, is a subversion.
    • Elesa does this with both of her outfits in Pokémon Black and White AND Pokémon Black 2 and White 2, however the former isn't as obvious.
    • The female player character of Pokémon X and Y can have this with customization options. Her only two tops that bare her midriff are a short parka which goes up just over the navel and a halter top [1] which shows her entire midriff from her chest down.
    • X and Y also add in a female "Punk" class that does this. In fact, a lot of Kalos NPC females have this, however, they are much more subtle.
    • In the demo of Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire (remakes of Ruby and Sapphire), a female Team Aqua Grunt calls attention to her bare midriff as an example of how stylish the Team Aqua uniforms are.
    • In Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire both Lisia and May in do these in their Contest outfits.
    • Kahuna Olivia, Plumeria, and the female protagonist's surf outfit does this in Pokémon Sun and Moon and Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon.
  • Krystal in her first appearance in the Star Fox series.
    • She also reverts back to this in one of Command's alternate endings.
  • Zola in Blue Dragon. Combined with low-level Gainaxing because she wears a tube top without a bra.
  • Curly Brace from Cave Story.
  • In RuneScape, clothes that fit a slightly larger male character slightly loosely used to, when transferred to a slightly smaller female character, suddenly be short of fabric in a way that exposes the midriff. This was changed later.
  • Aida from Unreal 2: The Awakening. Her outfit combines Bare Your Midriff with Absolute Cleavage. You can see this here.
  • Jade from Beyond Good & Evil
  • Brütal Legend: Pretty much every female character except the Razor Girls - Ophelia, Drowned Ophelia, Lita, the Zaulia (and how!), and even Lars.
  • Nariko in Heavenly Sword.
  • The Legend of Zelda
    • The Gerudo Warriors all bare their midriffs, wearing stereotypical eastern-arabian clothes. In Breath of the Wild it actually seems to be in part a way of distinguishing Gerudo from non-Gerudo, as it lets the Gerudo show off their distinct abs.
    • From Twilight Princess: True Form Midna and Iza, who runs the boat rental shop also wears something exposing her stomach. The aforementioned Iza has a brother named Coro who exposes his midriff as well, and while the next example isn't as pleasant, Fyer and Falbi also pull this off.
    • The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask has the Gerudo as naval amazons, but for another example, there's the Treasure Chest Shop girl. They textured her belly button even though you can only see it if you clip your face through the counter.
    • In The Legend of Zelda CD-i Games (excluding "Zelda's Adventure"), Zelda is wearing a crop top that alternates from being tucked in or showing her stomach. Interestingly, she doesn't seem to have a navel.
    • In The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes Link himself is a case of this when wearing the Cheerleader Outfit
  • Sly Cooper:
    • Carmelita Fox. Note that this is Inspector Carmelita Fox, who is apparently on duty and possibly in uniform — and who has been called 'hag' by more than one NPC, which implies she's no spring chicken despite being the love interest of a guy presumably in his early 20s.
    • Neyla shows hers too in Sly 2: Band of Thieves, but she's only a constable at the beginning, backstory says she was recruited straight out of university, and it doesn't look like she's supposed to be wearing a uniform.
  • A minor plot point in Project Origin, where Lieutenant Stokes wears a lightweight tactical vest, and the shirt underneath it doesn't quite extend far enough down cover up her midriff. The plot comes at the end of the game, where Genevive Aristide shoots her in the gut, right at the spot where her armor doesn't cover her.
  • Lara Croft in Tomb Raider.
    • Zigzagged: In the 2013 reboot, neither her default outfit nor any of the alternate outfits expose her navel.
  • Morrigan in Dragon Age, combined with Absolute Cleavage on her utterly ridiculous vaguely scarf-like construction that she wears in lieu of a shirt. More realistically, the Dalish armor, as worn by females.
  • Some of the outfits in We Cheer.
  • Basically every major female character and many minor female characters in Shantae.
  • Xenosaga: Shion Uzuki ditches her minidress uniform for a high-fashion outfit with a shortish shirt and low-rise slacks in Episode II, then, after quitting in time for episode III, goes straight-out Stripperiffic with her outfit, featuring tight shorts and a very brief top, more emphasised than moderated with a short fur-collared jacket.
  • Sonic the Hedgehog has a few examples. Tikal the Echidna from Sonic Adventure, in Sonic Riders Rouge the Bat has an alternate outfit which invokes this trope, and similarly Blaze the Cat has an alternate outfit in Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games.
  • The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion's infamous Huntsman's Shirt does this for males and females, though the female version swings more to Fur Bikini.
  • Skylanders has Stealth Elf.
  • Etrian Odyssey III: The Drowned City has several examples, but one standout is the astrologist Hypatia. Like all Zodiacs, she wears a full coat... but hers is inexplicably open in the front, giving everyone a clear view of her bare skin.
  • In Sengoku Basara, originally the guys were the majority on the chest/midriff-baring front, aside from Kasuga who sports Absolute Cleavage all the way down past her navel. She was later joined by Magoichi and Maria, which evens out the ratio somewhat.
  • Courtney Gears in Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal.
  • Minagi Tohno when she gets hit in the upper area or in her crouching position, it shows a bit in the Doujin Game, Eternal Fighter Zero.
  • Riku in his appearance in Kingdom Hearts II, whose navel is the only thing revealed in his outfit.
  • Musashi himself in Musashi Samurai Legend.
  • Valencia in AdventureQuest.
  • In Rosenkreuzstilette Freudenstachel, Sichte's top has been ripped at the bottom, exposing her navel. Karl Palesch is also a (male) example.
  • The titular Iris and Nel from Atelier Iris 3.
  • Natasha from Rusty Hearts wears a midriff-baring corset Her compatriot, Roselle Vergerius, bears a lot more, even in her censored version.
  • Solatorobo also provides Calua, who wears armor over his chest, legs, and tail, but forgets to cover his belly. Then there's the Queen of the Race photo, in which Chocolat drags a reluctant Elh into dressing like a cheerleader, much to Red's amusement.
  • The iDOLM@STER 2 - Several of the costumes sport this.
  • Tati from Rise of the Kasai, although she has a bit of cloth covering her belly button.
  • Saya Kho from the X-Universe. Of course, in-game she is only seen from above the neck.
  • Most of the female Mortal Kombatants.
  • Alpha Creations Softworks is notorious for its insurmountable levels of Fanservice. Most notably in this variant.
    • Fighting Champions: Yani, Melissa and Axel.
    • Rumble! @ the Campus: Hell, it seems like all of the females (except Dr. Hikari) are part of this trope, either main or alternate uniform: Kiyo, Jam, Hotaru and a whole lot more...
      • Ditto that with Yani's inclusion in the first two games.
      • Oh, and Hayato.
    • Fight or Die: Same case as above.
  • Goh Xiulan in Call of Duty: Black Ops III
  • Fiora and Sharla's default outfits do this in Xenoblade Chronicles, you can also buy a bikini or just have them take off the armor/shirts and just have them walk around in a bra and whatever else.
  • Pointy-eared, artificial girl Luca from the Star Gladiator series (specifically Plasma Sword) exhibits an extreme case of midriff baring.
  • Oceana from Blue World. (When she's not in her scuba gear.)
  • Tribes 2 tends to do this with a lot of the female scouting armors, this even applies to Star Wolf's male scout armor, for someone from an ice world...
  • Terraria has some of this since the 1.1 update, introducing new female shapes along with the rest of the major content, the most particular example being the Hallowed armor.
  • If you're a female in the Dead or Alive series, chances are you will have at least one or two outfits that do this. And that doesn't even count the Xtreme games which has all the girls in bikinis.
  • Tart in Tears to Tiara 2 is the only female character to do so. And she's fights on the front lines in battle using a BFS. Probably has something to do with the Goddess thing.
  • Juliet in Lollipop Chainsaw... a lot.
  • Vivi the vampiress of Brain Dead 13 wears a black skimpy outfit that not only bares her belly, but also exposes her cleavage of her Gag Boobs, combining it with Impossibly-Low Neckline.
  • The Neptunia series has 5pb./Lyrica and Vert, whose HDD outfit is this plus Underboobs. From mk-2, there's HDD Uni, HDD Nepgear, Falcom and Linda/Underling; and in Victory there is Noire in her regular form and Plutia as Iris Heart.
  • In Odin Sphere, the Vulcans and the Fairies of Ringford have their bellies exposed, among other things. The former can be justified as they are live in a land of flame and magma, and seem to be composed of lava themselves.
  • Lea in Boogie.
  • Both Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy in Batman: Arkham Asylum, and in addition, Talia al Ghul in Batman: Arkham City.
  • The female Raider and Merc outfits in Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas.
  • Quill in Red Faction II.
  • Dungeon Maker II: The Hidden War: Several female enemies dress like this, as well as the Dungeon Maker's female apprentice.
  • Return to Castle Wolfenstein: Some of the all female elite guard of the SS Paranormal Division will wear midriff baring uniforms.
  • Crazy Taxi: Gena and Cinnamon from Crazy Taxi and Crazy Taxi 2 respectively both wear midriff baring outfits. Several of the male characters from the franchise (Axel, Iceman, Gus, Angel and Bixbite) also leaves their upper-bodies on show.
  • Rage: Most of the women in Rage are at least wearing a shirt that stops an inch or two too short, but the ones that particularly qualify for this trope are Sarah (from The Scorchers DLC) and Loosum Hagar, both of whom are wearing what can generously be called a half-shirt, and one of the women in Subway Town who is wearing a tube-top.
  • In Roommates, both Sally and Isabella wear midriff-revealing tops along with short shorts. Sally's stops just short of her shorts, while Isabella's barely covers enough of her chest to count as a shirt.
  • Suikoden has plenty of examples across its many games:
  • In Wii Fit, the female trainer wears only a sports bra on her upper body, exposing her stomach.
  • Based on the box art, both the pilot (Bryna) and the gunner (K.T.) of the Star Wolves' mothership in Star Wolves 2. And, if not for one well-placed leather strap, Bryna would also qualify for absolute cleavage. You can see it here. Bryna is the one that is standing up.
  • Oddly done in Justice League Heroes: The Flash. Due to less than stellar cutscene artwork, Wonder Woman winds up baring her midriff. Summoning her in battle, however, and she wears her traditional, navel-protecting armor.
  • In the Golden Axe series, both Tyris and Sarah have outfits which expose their stomachs.
  • Yae in the Ganbare Goemon games, when she transforms into a mermaid. She also gets a bikini alternate outfit in Goemons Great Adventure.
  • Gunvolt from Azure Striker Gunvolt, at least in Japan. The overseas localization team made him wear a proper shirt.
  • Annet Myer from El Viento and its sequel Annet Futatabi.
  • The Desert Sorceresses of Dark Souls II wear what amounts to a black strapless bra, leaving the vast majority of the torso exposed and complete the look with long, black High Class Gloves and Zettai Ryouiki. The Flavor Text on these items says that the Sorceresses employ Distracted by the Sexy as a combat tactic.
    • From the first game, several of the Hollow armor sets do this. They used to cover more, but are decaying and falling apart, leaving gaps.
  • In Uncommon Time, half the elemental spirits — Bravura, Tacet, and Solenna — have these outfits.
  • Cube Colossus: Millie, when she appears, has her midriff bared in her outfit as her top is not long enough to connect to her pants.
  • Recettear: An Item Shop's Tale:
    • Charme's outfit is of a crop top and a skirt, as seen here.
    • Prime's outfit is of a bra and a skirt, as seen here.
  • Paladins has several characters that bare their midriffs, such as Kinessa, Inara, Seris, and Drogoz, who is a Rare Male Example.
  • Overwatch
    • D.Va's "Junker" and "Scavenger" skins give her a crop top with a short vest. Her "Cruiser" skin has her shirt tied up, but her pants cover her navel.
    • Sombra's "Azúcar", "Los Muertos", and "Tulum" skins all show her midriff, though her navel is covered in the former two.
    • Tracer's "Sprinter" and "Track and Field" skins give her sporty clothing which reveal her stomach.
    • Widowmaker's "Talon" skin shows her midriff.
    • Extremely downplayed with Brigitte, but her outfit under her armor seems to invoke this, barely visible from under her overalls. You can see a bit of it in her "Engineer" and "Mechanic" alternate skins, as well as in her many sprays where she's not wearing her armor, like "Skal!"
  • Target of Desire: Episode 1: Maia goes by the old saying: If you got it, flaunt it... by wearing a business suit that somehow exposes almost your entire torso.
  • Splatoon only has Octolings and female Inklings in their rarely-seen undershirts, but the sequel adds Marina (complete with navel piercing!) and Brainwashed and Crazy Callie (complete with tattoo!).
  • Operation Winback has one of the crying lions, the only female terrorist in the game, wearing a shirt that shows her belly. It starts below her chest, showing off the rest of her torso. She is quickly killed by Jean-Luc in a gun battle.
  • F-Zero has Kate, Princia, and Lily. For male examples, Dr. Clash (unintentionally) and Blood Falcon in his Master video (his suit shrunk in the wash).
  • Lard Lass in Bacon Man: An Adventure, though in her case it's unintentional due to her being too fat for her suit.
  • Numerous female NPCs in Jaws Unleashed.
  • Ashley Robbin's shirts in the Another Code games don't reach down to her pants. It's more obvious in her first game outfit, where you can actually see her belly button on the official artwork. Her outfit in the second game is a more subdued example.
  • Mace Daniels from Fighting Force wearing her black bra.
  • Phoenix' Peace Officer uniform and her clubbing outfit in Culpa Innata.
  • Seems to be the default mode of dress from Selkie females in Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles. This includes Belle from Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers, though her regular outfit exposes less of her midriff than most Selkie women expose of theirs. Still pretty cute.
  • Zelda in The Legend of Zelda CD-i Games wears a blue vest and a purple shirt that leaves her navel exposed. Her outfit is different in Zelda's Adventure where she wears a simple dress instead.
