Awesome Music / The Falcon and the Winter Soldier

Go To

  • The orchestral music accompanying the "Exclusive First Look" trailer sells the cloak-and-dagger tone perfectly. To make it better, Alan Silvestri's theme for Captain America plays in an epic way at the end.
  • The second trailer is set to a remix of "Is You Ready" by Migos, which is more than sufficient to pump any viewer up for the series.
  • Walker's Good Morning America appearance at the start of Episode 2 is punctuated by a huge marching band playing a jaunty, modernized remix of the incredibly-catchy "Star-Spangled Man With a Plan" from Captain America: The First Avenger, with a sick electric guitar subbing for the vocals and an awesome drumline.
  • The end credits theme for the series, "Louisiana Hero", is an electronic rock tune that closely homages not only Henry Jackman's previous Captain America outings (in The Winter Soldier and Civil War), but also those of fellow ground-level military conspiracy thriller The Punisher (2017). It also becomes a significant Theme Music Power-Up in Episode 5, when Sam finally engages in a Training Montage for him to be able to effectively wield the Shield.
  • Mozart's Lacrimosa plays at the end of Episode 2 as we get our first glimpse of Helmut Zemo for the first time since Civil War, highlighting both his villainous nature and foreshadowing that he's a Man of Wealth and Taste.
  • "Amatz" by Shanti Dope is a Filipino rap song whose dark-sounding beat perfectly underscores the Wretched Hive Madripoor as Sam, Zemo, and Bucky walk towards it. The lyrics talk about the high one gets from taking drugs - fitting while the three look for Super Soldier Serum samples. note
  • "Attack, Soldier!", which plays when Zemo commands Bucky to attack the patrons harassing them in Episode 3, features the return of the Winter Soldier's Leitmotif.
  • Édith Piaf's "Le Petit Homme" plays when Zemo, Bucky and Sam are on their way to meet Selby. The fact that it plays while the three of them are walking in slow motion makes their meeting all the more dramatic.
  • "Came For The Low" by ZHU and partywithray plays when Sam, Bucky and Zemo are partying at Sharon's mansion in Hightown. It's an awesome rave-like techno song which encapsulates the rich and elite lifestyle that the people of Hightown live. Plus, it gives us Zemo dancing.
  • Dr. Wilfred Nagel is playing "Comin' Home Baby", a groovy 60s jazz single by Mel Torme as Sam, Bucky, and Zemo are sneaking into his lab to confront him. Despite being a rather upbeat song, it somehow makes the buildup to their meeting all the more ominous.
  • After Episode 4's infamous ending, "Louisiana Hero" is replaced by a slow and chilling theme, as if to underscore the shock and horror of what Walker has turned himself into..
  • "Hey Pocky A-Way" by The Meters plays when Sam and Bucky work on fixing the boat in Episode 5. It’s a smooth soul-like song which helps to encapsulate the bonding the two friends go through to fix the boat.
  • "On and On" by Curtis Harding closes the series' Character Arc for Sam and Bucky—specifically during their party with the Louisiana community. While the series itself still veers a lot on Bittersweet Ending (and a lot of upcoming challenges at that), the song's upbeat, Determinator sentiment fits very well for Sam and Bucky's commitment to moving forward with their new lives.
