One of the best things about the series is its extremely catchy and amazingly composed songs. Credit goes to Jim Lang, the composer for the series.

     General
  • The theme song is bound to get stuck in your head by the time you watch at least 4 episodes. It is just so catchy, and reminiscent of 50s' rock and roll music.
  • In one of the show's web games, "Mission Earth", there are upbeat techno instrumental remixes of the show's theme song and "My Name is Mindy". They're addictive, and if you listen to the songs enough, you can instantly sing along when you hear said remixes.
  • Mitchell's leitmotif, a jazzy lounge piece.
  • From the web-game "Jet's Bot Builder", there's the building theme, which is very relaxing and sounds similar to Wii music.
  • "The Scientific Method" appears in many episodes and never gets old. It has a '60s pop feel to it and is a catchy, effective way to teach viewers the Scientific Method. Bonus points go to the extended version featured in "Jet Cooks Dinner".
  • The theme song to the Show Within a Show Commander Cressida is a triumphant Bragging Theme Tune. It definitely makes you wish it was a real show.

     Season 1
  • The solar system song is another amazing educational earworm. The accordion playing in this song is just stellar.
  • 67 Moons. Jet listing every single moon of Jupiter (at the time) is just plain awesome. Props to Jet's actress, Ashleigh Ball.
  • The Gravity Song. The singing is just amazing.
  • "Tiny Blue Dot," a Musical Episode, has three great songs:
    • "Intergalactic Travel Writers" is a jaunty tune that explains Carrot and Celery's profession as travel writers. It gets especially awesome towards the end when the brass instruments kick in. The song is so good, that it "charmed" Sean into going to space.
    • "Venus! (Earth's Broiling Hot Twin)" is a catchy song about Venus' temperature, in the style of flamenco music.
    • "Tiny Blue Dot," an absolutely beautiful song about how precious our Earth is.
  • Let's Fly Our Little Saucer To the Moon. Another beautiful song. It's a wonder how a few of the lines made it past the censors.
  • The Milky Way, a very upbeat and Large Ham type song.
  • In the episode "Earthday Birthday", Sean, Sydney, and Mindy write and perform an adorable little song to celebrate the anniversary of Jet arriving on Earth. The piano is just superb.
  • You're Never Too Big For a Lullaby from "Jet Can't Sleep". This song not only successfully gets Jet to sleep, it also showcases Meg Roe's beautiful singing. It was also so much of a tearjerker, that Jim Lang himself cried during the recording of the song.
  • The BGM from the episode "Space Race" definitely deserves a mention as well. It creates an exciting and daring atmosphere, which is perfect for a race episode.
  • The Spirit of Christmas is another absolutely beautiful song that is about the True Meaning of Christmas and The Power of Friendship. It is bound to make your heart melt or make you cry, or both.
  • Both of the songs from season 1, episode 33 are awesome:
    • Dear Little Frozen Pluto, a cute and catchy ode to the dwarf planet Pluto. It especially gets awesome when the entire cast sings together.
    • A Star is Born, both the Face 9000 version and the version that the kids sing. It's a blues/jazz-esque song that perfectly explains how stars are born in outer space.

     Season 2
  • Every song from "Back to Bortron 7":
  • While the entire trailer for season 2 is a 100% Moment of Awesome, the music also happens to be good as well. It's a surf rock-esque instrumental track that will definitely help you get pumped for the season. The track is actually the instrumental for the song featured in "Asteroid Belt Space Race", Space Racin', a really catchy song about, well, racing in outer space.
  • The music that plays right before the race starts in "Asteroid Belt Space Race" is badass and sounds like it could be in a blockbuster movie.
  • Ice Skating in July from "Mindy's Ice Rink", a whimsical little song about, well ice skating in the month of July. Some of the lines make it sound like a love song. The best part is when the entire cast harmonizes together.
  • Heliocentric, a short yet really catchy song about the heliocentric theory, and Mindy actually sounds good in this song.
  • Total Eclipse of the Sun, the badass, somewhat horror-like rock song that Jet, Sean, Sydney, and Mindy perform at the DSA during the eclipse in "Total Eclipse Block Party".
  • "Grow, Plant, Grow!" from "That's One Gigantic Pumpkin, Jet Propulsion!". A very catchy song that Jet and Carrot sing in order to get Jet's pumpkin to grow.
  • Of all the songs featured in "Potatoes on Mars", special mention goes to the first song featured, aptly titled "Potatoes on Mars". It's a soundalike of "Life on Mars?" that successfully convinces Sean to go to Mars.
  • "Every Day is Earth Day" from the episode of the same name is a hammy, upbeat song celebrating the Earth. It even gets all the crowd members singing along.
  • "One Small Step":
    • "Super Saucer" is very upbeat and offers the points of view of Jet, Sean, and Sydney.
    • Celery's very soothing reprise of "Tiny Blue Dot", sung as a lullaby for the kids.

    Space Camp
  • "Dear Great Galacto" is an epic ska-like song about how Jet wants to be like the Great Galacto. It's so good that In-Universe, it became a hit song on Bortron 7, and made Jet become Galacto's number one fan.
  • "Brother From Another Sunspot Mother" is both heartwarming and tearjerking, and it's the perfect way to showcase the love between a kid and his pet. It also gives "When She Loved Me" vibes, especially with the visuals.
  • For a background music example, the music that plays during the spaceship building montage is pretty groovy.
  • "Super Hyperdrive" is a catchy blues song, with an excellent guitar by Sunspot.
  • "It Takes a Team" is a great motivational song about teamwork. Sydney's solo at the start of the song is beautiful.
  • "Space Hero," the music video that Stella submitted towards the end of the movie, is a catchy and funky song dedicated to praising Jet. It sounds like something you would hear in a James Bond movie intro, especially with the red backgrounds and silhouettes.
