Despite the 1977 anime being his starting point in the Lupin III franchise, Yuji Ohno proves that some don't start out rocky and get better over time - they are phenomenal from the start.
- The series' first opening, Theme from Lupin III '78, is easily the most iconic tune from the franchise, with its numerous remixes.
- Theme from Lupin III '78 (Vocal Version) brilliantly adds vocals to an already fantastic tune.
- Theme from Lupin III '79 is the first remix in the series and does a great job balancing the fresh and the original aspects of a remix.
- Theme from Lupin III '80 is the last theme song and has an almost royal feeling. After debuting here, it was used in The Castle of Cagliostro twice during the car chase and once in the second half of the movie.
- The ending themes are all fantastic in their own right.
- The first ending, Love Theme from Lupin III, is simply beautiful.
- Love Theme from Lupin III (Vocal Verison), composed by Yuji Ohno and performed by Ichiro Mizuki, somehow manages to top the first one.
- Love Squall (which doubles as Fujiko's Leitmotif) has a fun and mysterious vibe. Sandra Hohn provides the amazing vocals.
- Love Is Everything is the fourth and final ending theme for Lupin III (Red Jacket). It was composed and arranged by Yuji Ohno and performed by Noboru Kimura. The lyrics were written by Yoko Narahashi. It's a moody and moving piece that really invokes the feeling of a finale.
- American musician Tommy Snyder collaborated with Yuji Ohno notably on two songs and the results are pretty magical.
- Lovin' You (Lucky) is a off-brand Silly Love Song that really brightens the mood and somehow fits in perfectly with the rest of the OST.
- Super Hero is Lupin's Bragging Theme Tune and fits him like a glove, being arrogant and fun at the same time.
- Sweet Lady has a relaxing, yet upbeat tone that is perfect for setting the mood.
- Silhouette is cloaked in 70's style and sexiness.
- Love In São Paulo (1978) is an exciting and energetic piece that feels like a happy reunion.
- Red Roses for the Killer, Goodnight Moon Shadow (1978) is the perfect chase theme and really encapsulates the cat-and-mouse dynamic Lupin and Zenigata.
- Lonely On The Road is a building theme that is great for setting up scenes.
- Sandra Hohn's I Miss You Babe (Yes, I Do) is a refreshing and interesting piece with lots of spunk.
- Dangerous Zone (1978) is aptly titled, indeed. The piece is very intense and perfect for actions scenes.
- The Way To The Oasis is a moving, thoughtful and introspective theme which makes it very easy on the ears.
