Fossil Fighters

  • The title music uses horns to build hype for an exciting adventure full of dinosaurs, technology, villains, and more.
  • The VMM music is incredibly relaxing, allowing a user to take all the time they need fine-tuning their roster or looking through their collection.
  • The battle music to obtain master level goes back and forth between an A section full of triumphant horns and a B section that's heavier, playing lower synths, all keeping an upbeat tempo. This emphasizes the battle as a test of your abilities - challenging yet rewarding.
  • The music for the Disc-One Final Boss, Bullwort, is slanted in its emphasis, uses large jumps in pitch, and plenty of lower drums to sell the foe as a commanding presence.
  • The music for the Dynal battle is darker and more solemn. It shows raw power through intense, accented high sections, and lament through more grounded transition sections. Voice synthesizers, a rarity in this series, double the effect.

Fossil Fighters: Champions

  • "Tremolo Hunter", the theme for BareBones Brigade battles, uses a driving tempo and oscillating synth strings to convey a sense of urgency.
  • "Blue-Sky Quena", the BGM track for Rainbow Canyon, captures the grandeur of the steep, colorful cliffs while staying suitable for the more low-key tasks of roaming or digging fossils.
  • While the standard fossil cleaning theme is fine in its own right, giant fossils get a special track, higher pitched and almost ethereal, much more fitting for a task where you'll inevitably use multiple time clocks to ensure the process is complete.
  • "From Beyond the Horizon" is Don Boneyard's battle theme, and a good one it is! The heavy, descending brass and timpani in the background create a sense of weight and urgency, while the ascending bells and violins balance it out with a level of optimism, though still intense in their own right.
  • "When Dark Sparks Fly", played during the battle against the Zombiesaurs before the final boss, is intimidating in its clashing chords and unusually syncopated rhythms at transitions, while still being optimistic enough to encourage perseverance.
  • The unused track deserves special mention as well, upbeat yet intense enough to function as a pump up before a major event.

Fossil Fighters: Frontier

  • "Chaotic Clash (Rogue Vivosaur Battle)" uses synthesized rock instruments and a very fast tempo to give the tune some real drive. No wonder it reappeared in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
