In a music-and-rhythm game, you're gonna have to introduce some memorable and great songs to provide an unforgettable experience when playing the game. And boy, does this game deliver! Feeling skeptical? Well then, just listen to...

  • The funky fresh main menu theme from Bust A Groove 1. You have the luxury of hearing this gem every time you start up the game! And we're only getting started, my friend.
  • "2 bad", Heat's first theme. With elements of underground hip-hop and funk combined with fluid rapping, the song's a great representation of how much of a One-Man Army this Hot-Blooded breakdancing badass truly is. His second theme, "The Heat Is On", is another fiery hip-hop entry with some jazzy undertones and a slightly more laidback approach to things. But don't think he's slowing down or getting sloppy...the heat will burn your whole crew.
  • "Sora to Umi to Niji no Yume", Frida's theme. It's a catchy song with an old school Hip-Hop feel to it, combining a lovely mix of female Japanese vocals and male English rapping. Quite fitting for a young lady with an incredible display of artistic talent of body, sound, and mind!
  • "Magic Tower", the sprightly pop rock theme of Frida's little sister, Comet. The lyrics of this song betrays the perkiness of the song though, with BDSM undertones and sexual nature that may cause you give a side eye to the 16 year old waitress. Still though, it's a great song that makes you want to throw on a pair of skates and dance around all night long! Just make sure Comet and her magic wand doesn't see you, though.
  • "Power", delving into some scary smooth Gangsta Rap, befitting of a first-rate crook like Strike. With some sampling from the King of Pop Michael Jackson's "2 bad", there's background singing, slight dramatic overtone and a siren incessantly blaring in the background, guaranteed to permeate in your mind well after the song draws to a close. His second theme, "Here Comes Trouble", still goes hard with heavy rap, hip-hop styling and a lot less nightmare fuel than before! Though Strike's penchant in crime be that as it may, his gangsta roots are here to stay.
  • "I luv Hamburgers", Hamm's anthem and loving proclamation to fast-food chains serving tasty burgers everywhere. It's got some hip-hop, some R&B, some pop, and a whole lot of feelgood vibes. Perhaps the immense love he's got for hamburgers was the reason Hamm unfortunately never made an appearance in the sequel...in any case, keep on truckin' and chuckin', Hamm!
  • "Shorty and the EZ Mouse" ("Waratte Pon", Japanese version), Shorty and Columbo's theme, aptly expressing the joys of being a kid having an unbreakable bond with the bestest friend in the whole wide world. It's another sweet pop song that'll melt you to the core and bring a smile to your face with an awesome guitar riff and catchy vocals to boot! And with "Hizashi no Oku no Happy Heart" ("Happy Heart in the Sunshine", English version), little Shorty's slowly growing up with an fresh musical number that expresses her desire to cast out former lonely, sad days and look forward to brighter, sunnier days with true friendship and lifelong memories. Here's wishing you all the best, Shorty! You too, Columbo!
  • "Transform" (Japanese version), Kelly's theme with a funky R&B touch, sexy and sleek bassline and vocal track explaining Kelly's power to confidently take over the dancefloor and steal hearts across the board with the help of her costume and dance. And what a transformation she makes going into Bust A Groove 2 with "Moonlight Party ~ Clap Your Hands" (English version). It's a lacy, feelgood R&B song with a funky bass riff that easily gives the sexy Officer Kelly the power to show everyone why she's the queen of the underground dance club!
  • "CAPOEIRA" ("Uwasa no CAPOEIRA", Japanese version), Aliens Kiki and Lala's theme, of course! It amusingly has an otherworldly, yet joyous reggaeton-like feel to it as they duo embark on a voyage spreading dance across the lands, wherever they go! "Allegretto Break" breaks off into some lively House-style music. Just wait until you hear the chorus come in, though! May the duo known as Capoeira never become strangers to Earthlings again!
  • "Got To Be Happy", the theme of the tap-dancing little Tsutomu. With traces of pop, salsa and shining vocals of optimism, the song serves as uplifting low spirits, finding your happiness and dancing your worries away, something that not only poor Tsutomu needs but, perhaps anyone else listening to the song as well. So cast your worries away, join the dancefloor with Tsutomu and get into the groove! May you and little Tsutomu have nothing but the absolute best for all of your years to come!
  • "The Natural Playboy", the silky smooth theme of the suave, captivating narcissistic Hiro-kun! Going to the roots of disco, let the vocals of the song take you away to a place of confidence and swagger, accompanied by a riveting saxphone solo that's sure to get your heart racing! Then get ready for "Let The Music Take Control ~Hiro's Groove~", his second theme which combines disco elements with triumphant vocals that almost make the man seem like a hero!
  • "I know" the theme to the beautifully eccentric Miss Pinky Diamond. Taking a Motown approach to this one with a funky, sexy and sassy R&B feel to it, you might want to take off running with your secrets intact, or else Pinky'll expose you for the whole world to see!
  • "Chemical Love", dancing scientific prodigy Gas-O's theme song. It's a faster paced techno song that can be quite unforgiving to dance to—but definitely not by Gas-O's standards. It's loony and weird feel definitely suits Gas-O's tastes and style. One has to wonder if he gets to listen to much of this song while serving time in federal prison...
  • "Zombie Hopper", which is theme of Gas-O's deformed father, Bi-O. Like Father, Like Son it's a faster paced song that has some spooky techno style within it. Also, awesomely sick beat drop at the beginning is something both captivating and worthwhile all the same. Worry not, Mr. Bi-O; with the power of dance, there's certainty you can repair the broken relationship you have with your son and even get your beautiful face. It's only a matter of time!
  • "Bust A Groove" ("Aozora no Knife", Japanese version), is the beautiful, passionate and dramatic theme of the majestic Kitty-N. With a techno flair guided with heartfelt vocals of undying love, it gives Kitty-N the strength to dance through the fires of life's burdens. With a double take, Kitty-N's second theme, "HELLO! Kitty-N" (English version) is yet another lovely track that's pop, perky and uses vocals that reaffirms just how vivacious and voracious Kitty-N is, letting absolutely nothing bring her down or stop her tracks. Go get 'em, girl! E-Even if...you know...the odds are a bit slim...
  • "Flyin To Your Soul", Robo-Z's theme. An intense techno beat that encapsulates the vogueing Robo's relentlessness and dancing fury. He then gets a second theme that's even more intense, "Acid Line", clocking in at nearly a full 8 minutes. The buildup is incredible, the beat drops are amazing, and the assisted eerie vocal chords provide an unforgettable experience with this gem. Definitely a song worthy of a grueling dance battle right to the very end. Can you handle the likes of Robo-Z?
  • "Enka 1" the theme to hidden boss character Pander. Like Pander's nature, this song is quite cool yet bizarre, containing elements of techno, traditional Japanese instruments and harmony. Due to its very fast pace, it can be quite hard to dance to, but looking at Pander's slow, but mysteriously fitting dance to it will only serve to throw you off even more. Be warned with Pander: looks can be very deceiving! He's quite the formidable dancer to battle!
  • The ending theme to Bust A Groove 2, taken away by Pander! What an amazing song to finish out the game on; such a happy song that makes you feel like the you've just saved the world or done something heroic!

And always remember, no matter how distant or forgotten Bust A Groove may seem, the series will always fiercely live on—through the music! Now, let's dance!
