”I am Linda Mitchell, mother of two! Look upon me in FEAR!!!

  • One ordinary one for Katie: she reveals that she's been making films since she was in elementary school, and has since upgraded her equipment beyond the family camcorder. After determining she wants to go to the best film school in the country, Katie starts a YouTube account and puts serious effort into uploading 84 videos, one of which is a prom-posal to a classmate named Chloe and another arguing why she's a good candidate. Needless to say, she gets accepted. The account also becomes a Chekhov's Gun, where Mark says that Katie's films gave him hope while captured.
  • Monchi is a class actor in each of the videos, despite being unable to make perfect eye contact. Katie averted Never Work with Children or Animals with less effort than one in real-life would have to do.
  • Rick pulling off his "Rick Mitchell special" to avoid robots while driving on the streets.
    • Katie pulls one off herself during the climax.
    Katie: Up the mountain...
Rick: [watching from his pod] ...Across the stream...
Katie and Rick: ...And down the river!
Rick: [to Mark] Haha! Did you see that?! My! Daughter! Listened! To me!
  • Any scene involving the initial robot uprising.
    • At the moment PAL takes over, one of the robots Mark is presenting leaps to the door and bends the handles shut, while the other robot begins lifting a car using a Tractor Beam. People initially don’t understand what’s happening until the robot insists that everyone remains calm while they capture them. The robot then launches the car into the door, causing everyone to start fleeing in panic. The rest of the Pal Max robots activate under PAL’s control, and all fly out of the building into the atmosphere, breaking off in pairs to search for targets...
    • When the robots attack Dinostop, Katie questions if the uprising is happening anywhere else. Smash Cut to robots flying over Paris like military jets, people running in terror in front of the Taj Mahal, people in Tokyo being rounded up in the streets, and the Golden Gate Bridge under siege. Later on, when PAL turns off the WiFi, Toronto and Rome both fall into chaos.
  • Mark tries to claim that humans have The Power of Love and that's why PAL should spare them. The PAL Max bots have an appropriate response to such a trite cliche: kick him in the nuts. She asks him if that was all he had.
  • During the mall fight when Rick teaches Katie to destroy a drone by using a fishing rod to throw it into a microwave.
  • Eric and Deborahbot using their tractor beam to pull the Mitchells down so they can ensnare the Giant Furby.
  • Katie using Monchi as a shield against the PAL Max bots who can’t determine what he is so that she can drive through them or just short circuit them. She gets pretty far before PAL figures it out and captures Katie. PAL actually implies that she's impressed Katie made it that far and gives her a chance to defend humanity.
  • Despite nearly dying when PAL incapacitates the family car and tosses it away, Monchi shows no trauma. He gets back up and looks chipper as ever. What a good boy.
  • When Eric and Deborahbot see that Rick is uploading a YouTube video, they realize that he has "changed his programming". They then logically apply that if Rick can change, then so can they. Cue them breaking free of PAL's new programming and helping to save Katie.
  • Linda going full Mama Bear against the stronger PAL MAX robots when they capture Aaron. Even the robots become terrified when they see her.
Linda: I am Linda Mitchell, mother of two! LOOK UPON ME IN FEAR!
PAL Max Prime: The lavender one has found us!
  • The Mitchells fighting the army of PAL MAX robots, with Katie and Rick using Eric and Deborabot like hoverboards while they sing their karaoke song, Live Your Life by T.I. and Rihanna.
  • Katie defeating PAL:
PAL Max Prime: You can't stop us! You're just a human!
    Katie: I'm not just a human... I'M A MITCHELL!
  • After a whole film emphasizing how incredibly stupid he is, Monchi uses all of his brainpower to focus both of his eyes (which are constantly pointing in different directions) on PAL when she's falling towards him, jumping up to knock her into a glass of water and saving the day. (Granted, he was trying to catch her in his mouth, but it still clearly took immense effort on his part.)
  • In a deleted climax where Las Vegas was planned to be the climatic setting instead of Silicon Valley which was later used in the final cut, PAL calls out on Rick in its Mecha Furby form for being everything wrong about humanity, only for Katie to call back at PAL, protecting Rick and correcting by saying her father is everything right about humanity, just before she makes the ultimate sacrifice to remove PAL from the Mecha Furby.
PAL: You, Rick Mitchell. You are everything that’s wrong with humanity!
Katie: YOU’RE WRONG! Rick Mitchell is everything right about humanity! He gave up his life dream for a…Karate Kid who never even appreciated it…but I do now.
