• In "The Beginning of the End", after spending an episode facing his show being completely transformed in a desperate attempt to capture ratings only to realise that the network is secretly trying to replace him with Jon Stewart and is just using his show as a bargaining chip, Larry decides to simply announce on air that he's walking away as soon as his current contract is up, thus completely undermining their manipulations and allowing him to leave on his own terms.
