- In Supergirl #21, a monster crushes Supergirl under a locomotive. The next issue, Kara stands up, lifting the engine and tossing it out of the planet.
- Supergirl using vehicles like ammo. In Supergirl #34 she buried Silver Banshee under a truck.
- Showing just how far she's come and calling out her mother on her torture of Reactron at the end of New Krypton. Keep in mind that Reactron had killed her father and tried to rape and torture her and her friends, but Kara still stands up for the idea that torturing him is wrong.
- In Supergirl #58 Kara finally loses her patience with Cat after the latter — who spent a whole year waging a smear campaign against Supergirl — belittles her constantly after asking for her help. So she tells Cat to shove it and leaves:Cat: But — But WAIT! I need —
Supergirl: You need to leave me alone, is what you NEED to do.
