* Then comes the very next character reveal, basically a sequel to K. Rool's. It generally hits all the same notes at first, but this time, King K. Rool joins the Kongs. But then, a familiar puzzle piece bounces on the floor, waking all 3 up. Then, instead of King Dedede trolling them, it's Duck Hunt imitating a certain duo from a seemingly extinct franchise. Suddenly, that very same duo surprise attacks them from above. Oh, yeah, you saw that right. After being shelved by Microsoft for over a decade... BANJO & KAZOOIE ARE BACK!!!
** For many, the jig was up (Pun intended) as soon as a Jiggy was thrown through DK's window. The bear and bird are iconic enough that a puzzle piece is enough to generate excitement.

* E3 2021. It's the beginning of the Nintendo Direct, and it shows a dead Ganondorf being carried by someone. They approach a lava pit and throw him in... at which point it is revealed that it is none other than Kazuya Mishima himself, King of the Iron Fist Tournament champion, joining the battle and finally giving representation to Tekken and a second fighter from Creator/BandaiNamcoEntertainment. His trailer then shows him performing a number of moves and combos Tekken fans would recognize, with a stage based off of the Mishima Dojo that even has Heihachi in the background as a cameo. And that's all without mentioning that he can use his Devil Gene form for standard attacks and his Final Smash.
