  • Watching Kyuu taking a level in badass. Very blatant in Chapter 7. In Chapter 0, he was so weak that he was exhausted after one fight. In Chapter 7, he's able to block a punch with his bare hands. Also, when he first met her, the Assassin utterly crushed him. When his brigade fights her again in the end of chapter 7, Kyuu ends the fight himself, by injuring (and possibly even breaking) her arm.

     Versions 1 and 2
  • Axel's Big Damn Heroes moment, when he rescues Kyuu from The Assassin in the beginning of Chapter 4. Then, his other moment when he rescues Kyuu again and Kite from Electro. The three then combine their strength to defeat the baddie.
  • In Chapter 5, Kyuu's decision to go back in Rakenzarn to help his friends to destroy the plague. Doubles as a Heartwarming Moment.
  • Kyuu's plan to rescue the elven elder. And all the Big Damn Heroes moments that ensue.
  • In the end of Chapter 8, the whole battle in the Lost Tower against Bowser's minions, in order to gain access to the plague core.
  • The battle in Furude Shrine in the end of Chapter 9, when the heroes crush the enemy mercenaries in an awesome Curbstomp Battle. Until Deathstroke arrives...
  • Every time someone stands out against or beats the crap out of the Morning Glory Guild.
  • Basically every time Cain's theme plays during a battle:
    • The second part of the optional Superboss against the Amphisbaena, with Cain finally able to avenge his fallen comrades slain by the beast. Bonus point if you do the killing blow with him (but that's not mandatory).
    • Another moment in the battle against Zevahn's monster at the top of the Lost Tower, during the first sidequest Cain can give you. Only this time, the finishing blow is scripted. And Cain crushes the monster with his Limit Break, breaking the damage cap in the process...
  • An optional one: the Ultra Boss battle against the Headless Horseman. During this battle, Luigi shows why he's a Cowardly Lion. At first terrified by his foe, he takes a level in badass after Kyuu is hurt while protecting him. He then throws a devastating Thunder spell at the Horseman, severely weakening him. After his intervention, the fight becomes almost easy.
