• Meng's escape from the Tsarnaevs. Meng knows he is in deadly danger from a pair of obviously brazen terrorists who have already committed a bombing, are planning another in New York City and are hardly likely to let him go as a potential witness against them. So, carefully observing his surroundings and realizing that they are distracted at the gas station, Meng takes his gamble and bolts to another gas station as fast as he can, knowing full well that they could have gunned him down in the back. However, Meng makes it and thus spells the terrorists' doom when he provides valuable information to the police like his vehicle's GPS number.
  • The cop even outright tells him, "That took balls, man. You're a brave fucking guy."
  • Also when Meng tells the police to catch those "motherfuckers". Pretty awesome since he's a quiet nerdy guy for most of the movie.
• The capture of the remaining bomber.
• Despite being severely injured and dazed, Jessica is able to use her bag's strap as a tourniquet for Patrick's legs.
• Sgt. John McClellan’s retort during the shootout:
  ”WELCOME TO WATERTOWN, MOTHERFUCKER!”
