Awesome / Oreshika: Tainted Bloodlines

• Since your party loses in a dungeon when the leader dies, you need to protect them the most. When they do get on low health and are about to be finished off, Kochin will run in to block the shot and make a Heroic Sacrifice. This will usually give you the time needed to finish off the enemy or run for the hills.
• Heirloom Weapons: While they start off as pitifully weak, they have a power that makes them better than any other in the game, that being the ability to level up with its wielder. As the user levels up the weapon will gain power as well, and as it is passed through the generations, can gain new modifiers. However it can only be wielded by the descendent of the original wielder and only one who shares the same weapon class. By the end of the game, you can have an extremely dangerous Ancestral Weapon passed throughout generations. This can result in the awesome scenario where the weapon has been laying dormant for years only to have a new clan member, Take Up My Sword. Sometimes the deceased owners of the sword will even show up in spirit to perform critical hits
• When clan members die they can have inspirational dialogue as their last words. Some tell their family to step over and surpass them, others say that their experiences make their lives well lived. Some even bring up the fact that bringing children into the world knowing that they would be cursed is cruel, and tell them that even if they hate them, to use the Power OF Hate to move forward.
• Secret arts, similar to heirloom weapons, are skills developed by one clan member that are passed onto their children. Seeing them in action is an awesome moment by itself, since they have an entire opening cutscene.
• Abe no Seimei's Healing Factor is a mixture of this and nightmare fuel. Besides his chest, he can regenerate any wound done to his body, even self-inflicted combustion.
• Kochin is apparently immune to headshot kills, repeatedly taking arrows to the side of the head and reacting with relative annoyance
• Taking back the instruments of Festivity is a fairly rewarding thing to do. After breaking in the underworld destroying countless demons until breaking into the festivals location and taking them from Abe No Seimei.
• Ujigami, family members that have died and gone to heaven, are guardian spirits who watch over the clan bringing good fortune and helping in combat with modifiers.
• Nueko is fairly awesome, belonging to a class all to her own. Represented by a pentagram, her Onmyoji class can cast powerful spells, use the bands on her body for slashing attacks, and summon powerful shikigami to use as weapons. She also levels up lightning fast due to her using transmigration to reincarnate in the mortal realm multiple times. That and her many other magical skills make her more than awesome enough to qualify as a god, which she technically is.
