- Its creation as a successor to Nintendo Power. IGN editor Lucas Thomas wanted to share the magic of Nintendo Power with his son, and with its cancellation was unable to do so. So he made his own magazine to keep the legacy alive—and got fans of Nintendo to help him do it.
