Awesome / Mortadelo y Filemón

Go To

  • Mortadelo is usually the one who saves the day (that is, whenever the villain doesn't do it himself). Whenever another one does it, expect it to be one of these moments.
    • Filemón got a big one at the end of "Las embajadas chifladas" when he and Mortadelo got tied close to a bomb and he used his neck (which he had gotten elongated some pages before) to take the bomb with his teeth and throw it to the Big Bad.
    • The Súper got his at the end of "El bacilón" when he defeated the titular Muck Monster by delivering a single slap that made it dissolve into nothing. And just because the monster was obstructing his way to the bathroom.
  • In the last chapter of "El disfraz, cosa falaz", Mortadelo faces another master of disguise in Lucrecio Calcetini, and unlike other times that he faced other masters of disguise where he was easily outclassed, they both pull up a fair fight here, both going as far as to disguise of a plethora of things from mosquitos and flies to tsunamis and earthquakes.
    • And at the end of the story, when it’s discovered that Lucrecio’s truck of coke was not of cocaine like the Súper told them but of Coca Loca, Mortadelo takes vengeance on the Súper by disguising as the universe to tie him to a planet and make a meteorite crash into him.
  • Todoquisque, a villainous Master of Disguise, is probably the most realistic example of the trope. He is an expert with Wig, Dress, Accent disguises, often use props (glasses, fake mustaches, inflatable balloons to make himself fatter) and has successfully tormented the titular duo for nearly the entire story. To wit, he has impersonated: a butler, a businessman, an old lady, a policeman, a surgeon, a corrida employee and even the main characters themselves(Super, Ofelia, Filemon and Mortadelo).
  • "Hay un Traidor en la Tia", ends with Mortadelo and Filemón punishing their boss by lashing him to a scoop wheel and a piece of cactus to their boss' rear side upon learning that he was responsible of the leaking of the T.I.A's plans by yelling the uncoded plans to their other building across the street..
  • A villainous example happens at the climax of "Mortadelo y Filemón contra Jimmy el Cachondo", where Tronchamulas finally takes his revenge to Filemon after getting 15 years in prison and being constantly abused and drugged by him trought the movie by doing "El Aquello" to Filemon, impressing Mortadelo.
