The Avengers have reassembled!

The Avengers are disassembled by the events of A-Day but each of them manages to return stronger than ever in order to wage war against AIM as well as its allies.

Ms. Marvel

  • During the prologue, while doing a scavenger hunt, Kamala crosses paths with an obnoxious teen who accuses her of not being a real fan, to which she directly quotes Captain America's "No, you move" speech. After the teen leaves in a huff, Captain America himself approaches Kamala and commends her bravery, leading to a heartwarming fangirl moment for her.
    • The cherry on top of this moment is when she asks the teen if he knows who gave that speech. When he can't answer, she points out that a real fan would.
    • And even better, the jackass actually starts backing away from her while she's reciting the speech. Keep in mind that she's still just a child at this point.
  • Kamala's entire story arc, really, where she spends five years trying to make contact with La Résistance and goes on the run from AIM with vital intelligence. She also tries to recruit the Avengers herself in order to rebuild what was scattered by A-Day.
  • A subtle one for Kamala: She never had any training, and probably couldn't practice all that much with AIM having eyes everywhere, but she utterly averts How Do I Shot Web?, instead showing mastery of her Rubber Man powers fairly early in the game from practicing in secret for five years. Heck, she's arguably an Adaptational Badass to her canon self, certainly at that age!
  • Kamala plays the role of The Heart without Steve Rogers, appealing to the Avengers' sense of decency and morality throughout.
  • Kamala realizes that Monica can't help but leave clues to her Evil Plan during her interrogation. While she's wrong about what she's leaving a clue to, it results in the rescue of Captain America.
  • Her Rousing Speech is what causes the Avengers to get through their Darkest Hour.
  • Kamala embiggening to a titanic size and demolishing the Kree Sentry, sending a defeated MODOK plummeting into the sea.
    • To elaborate, Kamala goes to help the Hulk after the Kree Sentry transforms him back into Banner. The Sentry tries to crush her with its fist, but she holds it at bay. After a quick echo to something previously mentioned to her in the campaign, she grows to the size of a freaking Ultraman and engages the Sentry in a gargantuan battle. After a drawn out brawl, how does Kamala finally beat the Sentry? By impaling it on the jagged remains of the Golden Gate Bridge.
Kamala Khan: The only one you have left to convince is yourself! EMBIGGEN!
  • The Awesome Moment of Crowning when she's finally made an Avenger herself.

Black Widow

  • Black Widow's fight with Taskmaster on the bridge is not only a spectacular showing for the Avengers' resident super spy, but it feels like something right out of the Batman: Arkham Series.
  • Black Widow is revealed to have been infiltrating AIM and undermining its operations for the past five years through a variety of disguises. Whereas everyone else gave up hope and retired or was imprisoned, she carried on the good fight as "Tiny Dancer."
  • Black Widow is the first Avenger to fight the AIM Adaptoids and defeats several, proving that they can't replace the Avengers.
  • Natasha fights Monica Rappacini in a battle against her mecha suit. She manages to take her down and capture the Big Bad all by herself.
  • Black Widow revealing herself to rescue Kamala after the latter gets captured trying to rescue a bunch of Inhumans.
  • The final battle features a boss fight with MODOK, who possess advanced levels of technopathy. Who's the Avenger who goes head-to-head with him? Black Widow. While this doesn't kill him, it does severe his connection to the Kree Sentry and does a serious number on him.

Iron Man

  • The mission where Kamala and Bruce locate Tony, he equips what the game identifies as his "Makeshift Helmet": the bare essentials of blaster gloves, jet boots and a regular pilot's helmet as armor. You play as Tony kicking all sorts of ass without the complete Iron Man suit. That really shows he doesn't need the suit to be Iron Man.
  • An engineering one rather than an Iron Man one, Tony manages to get the downed Chimera running despite it being abandoned in a canyon for five years.
  • The mission to infiltrate AIM's space lab begins with Tony using the Starbooster armor to blast off into space (accompanied by Iron Maiden's "Flight of Icarus"), and eventually leads to a reunion between Iron Man and a very-much-alive Captain America, who proceeds to help Tony escape from AIM's bots, beating them all without his iconic shield (although he improvises with an airlock plate towards the end).

Bruce Banner/The Hulk

  • The Hulk terrifies Kamala and chases her through the Chimera. This is not the awesome part. The awesome part is the fact he's doing it to protect Steve's shield from being stolen.
  • After rescuing Kamala from Abomination, the Hulk gets into an epic knock down, drag-out brawl with his archenemy that carries the two bruisers throughout the AIM laboratory.
  • The Hulk manages to survive being blasted for over a minute by the Kree Sentry, despite it being something capable of destroying California.

Thor

  • Thor coming out of retirement to stop A.I.M. crashing the Chimera into the city, kicking all sorts of ass and using his powers to stop the ship from crashing into the city.

Captain America

  • When Steve Rogers returns, the Avengers immediately put aside all of their differences and rally behind him to fight AIM. All of the previous problems they have disappear under his leadership and guidance. Tarleton even says that the Avengers only fell apart in the first place because Steve was no longer there to guide them.
  • The revelation that Steve sent Tarleton from the reactor room so he could do a Heroic Sacrifice as well as save California.

Hank Pym

  • Hank Pym, despite not being an Avenger himself and Brought Down to Normal, led La Résistance for five years against AIM. Many Inhumans and enemies of AIM are alive thanks to his efforts.
  • Hank using a shrink ray to reduce a giant A.I.M. bot to the size of a puppy to keep it from destroying the Ant Hill.

Hawkeye

  • In "Taking A.I.M.", Hawkeye's Offscreen Moment of Awesome as he survives in the Bad Future overrun with Kree Sentries. Remember, one Kree Sentry gave the Avengers a lot of trouble last time.
  • The future version of Hawkeye performing a Heroic Sacrifice to defeat the Cosmic Cube-empowered Monica.

Black Panther

  • Our first introduction to Black Panther: A few of Klaws men are shown blowing up a vibranium mine when one of them is then attacked from above. As the other goes to investigate his partners disappearance an “actual” black panther shows up frightening the mook before being pulled back by the actual king himself who jumps down from the monument he was perched on slowly aproaching the mook while petting panther. He then grips the mook by one hand before tossing him aside as the mook runs in terror. It's one hell of Establishing Character Moment for the ruler and protector of Wakanda.
    • And as it turns out this was just a ploy to lead him to the larger group. Allowing T’Challa to take them out
    • He then proceeds to single handily foils a plot to bring down Birin Zanas shields by destroying them with a Sonic Canon headed by Crossbones. While he doesn't capture Crossbones he does destroy the canon and cause him to flee.

AIM

  • The villains actually have more than a few of these themselves. For example: AIM is one of the very few successful villains in the history of Marvel and its spin-offs. They manage to all but take over the United States for five years and implement their sweeping anti-Inhuman policies while getting paid by the government to replace both the Avengers as well as SHIELD. They even have the majority of the public's support for the majority of it as well.
  • George Tarleton manages to scare the living hell out of the Abomination and this is before he's made his complete transformation into MODOK.
  • Monica Rappacini proves to be a Manipulative Bitch by playing Tarleton like a fool, disabling Captain America for half a decade, and carrying out her own agenda behind the scenes. She even manages to survive Tarleton's wrath and become AIM's new leader after his death.
