Awesome / Magnum, P.I. (2018)

• In "Day of the Viper", Magnum masquerades as a professor in geopolitics. He meets someone who asks him about the geopolitics of the South China Sea and was able to explain the arbitration process used by the UN under the UNCLOS process.
• In "Judge Me Not", the client is a judge who's trying to run for Senate, but is being blackmailed with a tape that was made of her in the time she briefly worked as an escort to pay for law school. At the end, while the tape has been recovered, there's no guarantee that copies of it will never resurface. Rather than live in fear, she decides to come forward in a press conference.
• In "Close to Home", Katsumoto has the worst day of his life. It starts with his and his ex-wife Beth's abduction by someone who wants Katsumoto to kill his disgraced former partner Whelan, who's in prison, or the kidnappers will kill Beth. Unable to call HPD for help, he, Magnum and Higgins embark on a plan to abduct Whelan from the prison to use as a bargaining chip. After learning he's making a deal by testifying against gangster Ray Nasano, who is clearly the kidnapper and is also responsible for Katsumoto's sister's death. At the end of the episode, Katsumoto is suspended without pay and likely to lose his career, but still leaves HPD with a swagger, having put Nasano away for good. Most importantly, Beth is safe.
