• On the 10th-Anniversary show, Alton is challenged to find a second use for the one unitasker he allows — the fire extinguisher. He uses it and a water bottle with holes to turn a basket of grapes, blueberries and raspberries into a chilled, carbonated fruit smoothie. ^note Although the one he normally shows in the show is a powder / chemical extinguisher, and the one used in the 10th anniversary show was a CO2 one.
• Blowing up a vicious wild pig with a hand grenade.
• One episode has him making a delicious treat made with parsnips for his picky-eater niece. He succeeds to the point where she doesn't even believe him when he said that said ingredient was in the dish.
• In his Deep-Fried Turkey episode, he shows what happens if you attempt to deep-fry a turkey without making sure all surfaces inside and out aren't completely dry.
• In the Milk Made episode, Louis Pasteur shows how he does pasteurization: Using a flamethrower on a bacterium! Once that's done, the Food Police arrive via helicopter, with Alton siccing him on them.
