- While Maggie killing Officer Tom is horrifying in a way, it's also very cathartic. She closes the door of the foil-lined basement, cutting them off from communication with the outside world, and with the government unable to monitor what they're doing, brutally kills Tom after many days of him tormenting her and threatening her.
- Due to how unpersoning works in this comic, it's assumed that Charlie is going to be left for dead. Instead, Judy stops him from committing suicide, and recruits him into the rebellion.
