Show’s over, Sephiroth.

  • Sora arrives just in time to save Bowser and the rest of the dead fighters from Sephiroth, defeating him as well. The author also stated that "Sora at the Door-ah" was one of his favorite simply because how it was just perfect timing for Sora to be announced.
  • Fed up with Samus and Master Chief's bickering on who's the most skilled pilot for the task of earning extra lives to resurrect Fox, Falco and Wolf, the Duck Hunt duck decides to yoink Samus' Arm Cannon from her suit and fly out to do the job himself. When all's said and done, Samus and Chief are visibly tasting some Humble Pie. The bonus panels even show him receiving a well-earned medal from General Pepper.
  • Upon seeing his lord dead (and the Inklings' handsome faces), Bandana Waddle Dee goes on a solo quest across the entirety of Milky Way Wishes to summon NOVA, and intimidates Marx (who gave Kirby a challenge) into backing off when the latter tries to take Nova's power armed with an arsenal of weapons borrowed from the living fighters. It should be noted that among that arsenal is Sora's Keyblade, the Monado, the Vampire Killer, and the Master Sword, implying the Waddle Dee is worthy of wielding literally any weapon.
  • Upon learning from Sothis that everyone (not just her) was poisoned, Byleth deduces that Sephiroth must have a contingency for a plan this well-constructed. So rather than use the Divine Pulse to save everyone before the poisoning, she instead fakes her own death, constructing a body double, slipping it in among the corpses, and going into hiding, with a promise to return when her friends need her most and finally prove herself once and for all.
  • It's soon revealed that Byleth still arranged for one wild card to avoid a full-on death thanks to Pichu's Focus Band: Joker. Once he's revived thanks to the other Phantom Thieves, Joker and his pals put their game faces on, knowing that there's only one logical thing to do: take Sephiroth's heart. Hit it, Lyn!
  • A villainous example. Sephiroth himself has been very persistent about keeping his masterpiece in check, and while he does fail, he has one last trick up his sleeve. He's been building his own army in order to wipe out the Smash Bros., and it's in "Endgame Enemies" that showcases the seriousness of his plan.
  • Just when things get dire and the Smash House has to deal with Sephiroth's army and Meta Knight joining their side out of spite of being nerfed in the past, Byleth appears with her own cavalry, which features characters such as Lara Croft, 2B, Sans, Alucard, Geno... just to name a few.
  • The final battle is just full of epic moments.
  • Sephiroth's plans aren't exactly working out as intended:,
    • We see it isn't just the Doom Slayer, one of the biggest Memetic Badasses in video games, doing all the work. All of the Smash fighters plus Byleth's army of video game heroes are shown utterly decimating Sephiroth's army. The few damages they do suffer are instantly undone by their "extremely OP" band of healer characters. Regardless of Shadow Sephiroth faring much better in his Palace, that's still awesome.
  • When Sephiroth tries to bring out the secret weapon he got from Hades, it's revealed to be Snake in the box all along and he starts choking him. When the one winged angel tries to get Meta Knight to help, it's revealed that was Kirby all along with the real Meta Knight hanging out with the likes of Wario and Roy. Sephiroth's face really sells that he is completely screwed.
  • The reason for the ploy is revealed: turns out the Isabelles learned about Kirby’s Friend Heart ability when they were researching revival methods, and have the puffball unleash it on Sephiroth. This attack weakens his shadow self just as he was about to finish the Phantom Thieves. They then then seize their chance and unleashes an All-Out Attack on Shadow Sephiroth, complete with Cloud replicating Joker's victory screen!
    • And the pay-off: to prove that Sephiroth is no longer the monster who brought despair, he is shown looming over Pichu...and can't comprehend hurting the poor Pokémon. His army of villains abandon him because they consider him a loser now, And There Was Much Rejoicing throughout the Smashers.
  • "Last Plane Home": The sight of Cloud relaxing under a tree as Sephiroth is forced to water the yard is satisfying, given everything the One-Winged Angel did to him and the rest of the Smashers with his prank. Bonus points, everyone unanimously allowed Cloud to punch his Arch-Enemy in the face as a final act of catharsis, and probably as an apology for refusing to listen to him until it was too late as well.
    • Not to mention Byleth, Kazuya, and Incineroar all getting medals for their efforts, two out of three of which basically read "Greatest Of All Time."
  • "Christmas Special Part I" has Isabelle looking for anyone big and bearded enough to play Santa Claus. Her ringers for the year are Kratos and Thor in the middle of their epic duel. Isabelle blocks Mjolnir moments from killing Kratos just to tell the Odinson he's perfect as Santa, and takes the hammer as well before bringing the two gods to the Smash House.
  • "Christmas Special Part II" has a moment from Sonic when Isabelle realizes she forgot to remind Incineroar, Kazuya and Sephiroth to return for the party. He at first plans to run all the way to Paldea to grab them, only for Crash to point out that he most likely can't carry three grown men back with him. Sonic's solution? Borrow Chell's portal gun and use that to bring them back.
  • "Mechavroom" and the two comics following it has Team Star's giant mecha versus Gigantamax Incineroar. And...Team Star turns the table on him by stealing his Gigantamax cloud and finishing him with an elbow drop!
  • "God Champion" reveals that when the group left behind Sora, he has since become the new champion of Paldea. And declares that since the others forget about him, he's not gonna go easy on them.
  • In "Death (Averted) From Above" Giratina won the team by beating Arceus, meaning that Sephiroth finally has a win against Sora.
  • Just like in the previous arc's finale, Incineroar's group has managed to collect their own army of cat-themed video game characters. Felicia, Cait Sith, Big the Cat, King, Tango, just to name a few.
  • Toon Link shows off exactly why he is a descendants of the Hero of Hyrule. The Lefthanded Lurelin Liberator has him utterly wipe out all of the monsters who have raided the village of Lurelin, which those who played the game is no small feat. Even more impressively, Toon Link did so without his standard equipment, like Breath of the Wild Link, he improvised as he went along and defeated each one with not just brute force, but clever tactics as well, the army simply didn't stand a chance.
  • "Gym Rats" has Wario and Waluigi working with local authorities to stop a Toad's shady drug dealings. Sure it was most likely for the cash reward, but it shows that Wario has standards on how he makes money!
  • In "Clash of (Monster) Clans", Beedle is ambushed by a Bokoblin party led by Villager. Who comes to his rescue? Young Link and the pack of Lynels who adopted him.
