Awesome / Coady And The Creepies

Go To

  • Only one year after the Creepies' horrible van accident, which left Corey with a giant facial scar and Criss as a paraplegic, and they're already back on the road and more popular than ever. It's later shown that their show at Warehouse 21 is completely sold out.
  • When a weird demon guy climbs onstage during the show, Corey hits him so hard with her bass that he goes flying across the road. Then she continues with the show like nothing even happened.
    Corey: I hate stagedivers.
  • With just some good old-fashioned detective work, Shil managed to figure out almost immediately that Coady is a ghost too.
  • As Shil points out, it takes a ton of focus and willpower for Coady to be able to play the drums. She does it every night.
  • After the van crashes again, Corey and Jose walk through the scorching hot Utah desert to find help.
  • Just when the Creepies are convinced that they won't make it to the show in time, Shil shows up and offers to give them a ride.
    • Even though Corey is dehydrated to the point that she's hallucinating, she's determined to play the last Pinmageddon show no matter what.
  • It's almost showtime, the Creepies are nowhere to be seen, and everyone thinks that they're not going to show...and then they pull up in Shil's car and get out with their instruments, surrounded by a cloud of red smoke.
Corey: ALL BOW BEFORE THE QUEENS OF PINMAGEDDON! WE'VE COME TO COLLECT OUR CROWNS.
  • When the Boneheads try to push their elitist attitudes on everyone else, Criss utterly shreds them.
Lead Bonehead: But you can't just change where the show is happening after it's already started.
Criss: *slams her book shut* Well, there shouldn't be show spaces that aren't handicap accessible in the first place! Thinking otherwise makes you an elitist snob!
Lead Bonehead: I'm not elitist! I just miss when punk used to be fun!
Criss: Why does your idea of fun hinge upon the exclusion of others?!
Lead Bonehead: Because it just does!
    • And then the entire crowd turns against the Boneheads.
  • When Devin Danger tries to blackmail Coady, she doesn't back down. Instead, she grabs his phone, leads him on a wild chase, and uses her ghost powers to trick him and make him fall into the ravine where he can't mess with her or her sisters.
  • Coady gets another Dynamic Entry when she appears behind her drum kit right as the crowd's chants for the Creepies are reaching a fever pitch.
Coady: So are we gonna give this crowd what it wants or what?
Corey: What the—?! Did you just materialize out of nowhere?
Criss: Who cares?! Let's do this thing!
  • When the weird demon guy pulls the plug on the Creepies, Jose tries to stop him. Even when he realizes that the guy isn't human, he still tries to fight him.
    • And when Jose starts losing the fight, Ichabod leaps in and takes over for him.
  • Even though the Creepies have no power, they keep playing, because, as Corey puts it, "we need to earn this pin, with or without electricity!"
    • And then, right as they hit the song's crescendo, lightning from the approaching storm strikes the amps and the power comes back on.
  • The Creepies, at just sixteen years old, become the first band to collect all of the enamel pins and complete Pinmageddon.
  • The Creepies' kickass performance for the crowd of ghosts in the underground venue.
Announcer: Ladies and germs, boys and ghouls, get ready to get rocked into oblivion by the best darn band that the living have to offer, the Creepies!
Corey: Ha, wow, I hope we can live up to that enthusiastic intro. *Beat* Who am I kidding? I know we can!
  • The Creepies' response, when confronted by the decaying, maniacal corpse of Declan Decay, is to mock him right to his face.
  • Jose gets his own Big Damn Heroes moment when he momentarily takes down Declan Decay by throwing a disco prom.
  • As the catacombs cave in, Coady and Shil finish thwarting Declan Decay's plan by smashing all the bottles that contain the souls of the missing ghosts. Then, as the ceiling collapses, the two of them use their ghosts powers to escape.
  • Marnie's appearance at the end in Ichabod's body.
Marnie: Yeah, that's right! I haven't forgotten how to make a dramatic entrance!
