• The sheer scope and audacity of Mother's plan is impressive.
• Spoiler gives an epic Shut Up, Hannibal! to Jonathan Crane.
• Issue 23 features a whole slew of guest heroes who agree to help the main crew fight Mother. This includes Batgirl, Batwoman, Black Canary, Catwoman, Katana, and Midnighter.
• Issue 24: The Bat-team is in trouble all over the globe, but still keeps on fighting.
  • Batwoman continues battling an Orphan despite the both of them plummeting off the Burj Khalifa in Dubai.
  • Spoiler portal-jumps into another Orphan and ends up getting the upper hand after taking a few hits.
• Issue 25:
  • The Bat-team seems to be getting the upper hand. Batwoman kicks her opponent off the Burj Khalifa, Jason gets some good hits in, Spoiler's still in control of her Orphan, and Damian gets his own Free-Fall Fight.
  • While fighting outside in the cold, Dick shatters Azrael's sword with the application of sudden high heat.
  • Cullen comes up with a plan to solve the Bat-team's Orphan problem: open shift-doors in each city and have each member toss their opponent through... to a waiting Midnighter.
  Midnighter: Well, hello there.
  • How Midnighter joins the fight is also one for the writers. It is one of the rare instances where a character's unique skill set gets used right without getting nerfed for the sake of balancing out the team-up book.
• Issue 26:
  • Harper gives Mother a hefty beatdown while delivering a combination "Reason You Suck" Speech / Shut Up, Hannibal! at the same time.
  • The final panel of the series: Batman and all four Robins swinging over the roofs of Gotham.
