Awesome / B-Daman Crossfire

Go To

Crossfire

  • The very first episode, where Riki learns about Crossfire. He first event is for him and Dracyan to shoot their marbles while avoiding the gate. He breaks through it.
  • Kaito's introduction. Why use strategy when you can throw your marbles in the air and go crazy. And he makes it into second place.
  • From Episode 6, we have:
    • The EW-Crossfire commences, with Samuru, Hugo, Grizz, and Yuki making it into the first 4 positions. Riki and Kaito manage to finish at the same time and race to the buzzer to be the final competitor, with Riki winning by a very short second.
    • Riki and Samuru's Double Super Shot. Two dragons creating an ultimate elemental blast, destroying a stadium full of statues and almost making it up to 500 statues (they made it to 493).
    • Then for The Stinger of the episode, Novu shows up and destroys all of them for a grand total of 853!!
  • In episode 8, Reggie uses his Finishing Move to shoot a target in front of a moving table in the form of a rapid fast snake by using his B-Daman's snake attributes.
  • Reggie finds out that Novu and Derek have some plan, so Novu decides to let him battle him for the truth. Novu then reveals that he can combine his Dragren and Derek Tigare into Mighty Dragren. With it, he's able to shoot down targets on a fast zigg-zagging skateboard with no problem at all.
    • Reggie tries to do the same but fails, so Novu manipulates him into using The Powerof Hate to get stronger. Reggie takes a Face–Heel Turn, gets a new outfit and when he faces the snake, he gets through it and smashes the target into pieces.
  • Rory, of all people, takes action against Derek and the West block for their actions. It might have ended up in her B-Daman stolen, but she basically showed that she has guts.
  • In the East block challenge to fight the West block in a three-on-three match for Rory's B-Daman (Episode 9):
    • Novu reveals that he is using this for several reasons: to test Riki's strength, to cause the East and West blocks to fight, and eventually to gain control of both blocks.
    • Kaito effortlessly beats Grizz for a position and Novu has gained a position. Then Novu decides to get Riki into the tournament, so he can beat Simon, by teaching him to use the reloader to get his marbles back into Draycan. The only problem is that Riki doesn't know how to use a re-loader properly, and Simon finally fufills his dream of beating Riki. Cue everyone congratulating his win and Novu swearing that he will get back at Simon for interfering.
      • Novu ends up fulling his promise in the most awesome and funniest way ever. He calls Sumi, taking complete advantage of Simon's crush on her AND his gynophobia.
    • The battle with the East block and the West block finally commences with a rematch between Kaito and Hugo. Kaito tricks Hugo by throwing all of his marbles in the air, catching every single one into Lightning Fin, and then combining all of his shots into his Super Shot, leaving only three blocks to hit and leaving Hugo stunned. Then, out of nowhere, Hugo instantly wakes up and fires his shot BEFORE Kaito can deliver the finishing blow. Surprisingly, "Hugo congratulates him and acknowledges him as a rival".
    • Next we have Novu versus Reggie. Reggie shows that his Face–Heel Turn has actually improved his skills, before Novu reveals he can fire his marbles so precisely that they bounce back INTO HIS HAND. To finish, he fires his Super Shot, and Dragren hits the last target causing the whole stage to become engulfed in flames. Keep in mind that he did all of that with marbles. MARBLES.
    • With one win and one loss on both teams, it comes down to Riki vs. Derek. Riki and Draycan start out dominating and they reveal that Riki put his hand through Training from Hell just to work the re-loader, shocking everyone including Novu. Then Derek uses a cheat block to halt Riki, leaving the score at 2:2. In an epic battle of Tiger Versus Dragon to shoot the last block, Riki and Derek fire their Super Shots with the awesome Theme Music Power-Up. Draycan not only breaks through the cheat block, but reaches the block first and blasts Derek's Tigare right through the middle in a awesome Single-Stroke Battle, knocking Derek off his feet. Cue Draycan rising into the air and creating a gigantic fireball, gaining victory for the East block. Novu now officially declares Riki a threat.
  • Episode 10 (Camping, B-Shot Style) turned out to be a really awesome episode.
  • Episode 11 kicks of where the previous episode started at. Samuru fires his Tornado Spiral Attack at the huge brick with Riki, Yuki, and Derek & Novu's attacks, destroying it in the process, long enough for Rory and Takakura to arrive. Takakura then decides to suspend Novu and Derek, only for the former to reveal that he'll will reveal all of Crossfire's secrets to the public. So Takakura decides to have Riki and Yuki battle Novu and Derek in an official match.
  • In the same episode from above, Reggie arrives from a call from Derek only to reveal that Yuki was the one to call him. Yuki decides to fight him to get his friend back. During the match its tied 2:2, and its evenly matched to the point a tornado is made from the insane amount of marble shots. Reggie tells him that he knew what Novu was all about first and that he would grow stronger through The Power of Hate. Yuki's response?
Yuki: I don't hate you Reggie. I'll prove to you that a heart without hatred is the only way to win.
    Reggie: Washimara
Both their gloves get ready for their Super Shots.
    • Both of them fire their Super Shots at the final block. The two predators: the Eagle and the Snake clash in an epic battle. Ultimately, Reggie wins the match but not before getting his friend back.
  • Riki and Samuru's final battle with Novu and Derek in episode 11. As Riki collapses from the shock, Samuru and Draycan managed to convince Riki to get back up. Together, Riki and Samuru combine their Rising Dragon Blast and Tornado Spiral Attack to have Draycan and Dravise create a blue and white elemental Light and Wind blast enough to break through Novu and Derek's Mighty Dragren.
  • From episode 12,
    • Riki and Samuru save Sumi from a falling billboard just using their B-Damans.
    • The East Block starts the final tournament to decide who will fight Samuru in the final Crossfire battle: Extreme Rush. Kaito and Simon do impressively well, but Grizz one ups them but shooting down 50 and 100 targets WITH ONLY ONE SHOT, making it into the top position.
    • Then Yuki steals the show. He improved his skills so much that he can fire curve shots and shoot down 100 point targets with only one shot without using Thunder Eagle, the same tactic he used to beat Hugo. When he uses his Special Shot? He turns his back to the audience, and with one shine of his glasses, the statues blow up, giving him 160 points with one gold target left he shoots down.
    • Now Riki turns arrive and he completely dominates. The moment his turns starts, his Theme Music Power-Up kicks in and continuously fires Drive Shots, taking two 50 points statues down with each marble. As he hits the wall from exhaustion, he reassured Dracyan and the times they had, he unleash they new special move, Stormy Double Dragon Blast: a DOUBLE DRIVE SHOT, getting 150 points, but Yuki points out that he’s still in the lead. Dracyan tells him not yet, and he and Riki punch in determination. Dracyan beast manifests, punching out the target he needs to win. Cue Riki going to face Samuru in the finals.
  • The first season finale, episode 13, is full of awesome. In round 1, Samuru and Dravise increase their power to 120% and beat Riki 3 to 0. In round 2, the music kicks in as Samuru tries to counter Riki’s plan by letting Riki take down the yellow blocks so he can take the red blocks. However, Riki counts by using 2 DRIVE SHOTS on the yellow blocks, causing them to spin hit two red block EACH and out races Samuru’s marbles, with Riki returning the favor 4 to 0, tied the score. In the third and final round, the two tied 2 red blocks each, both of them using all of their power for the block. The two continue to fire in rapid succession. As it becomes a stalemate, the B-Crystal responds to their battle, with Riki and Dracyan glowing with blue energy while Dravise is encased in silver and white energy. For both the Japanese and English dub, an instrumental version of the opening starts up Riki and Samuru fire their Super Shots. Their hearts resonate to perform a Super Drive Shot, and everyone stares in awe as Dracyan breaks through Dravise, giving Riki the win.
  • #14 Basara and Double Drazeros announce to Riki and Samuru that they plan to take the power of the B-Crystal for themselves and Riki warns him they will fight. Guess who decides to challenge Basara in a Break Bomber match 3 seconds later.
Kaito:Now hold on a second. Why are you guys talking like this only affects Dragons huh?
  • 15 In the start of the East GP, Asuka utterly beats Kaito 3-0.
    • Also we have Rudy. He managed to make it in the Top 8 of the East GP with just a Proto-01 and in a Offscreen Moment of Awesome, he beats Derek in a fight and ends up in Fourth Place.
    • For the final match of the East GP, we have the Samuru vs. Basara, each of them countering blow for blow. With the score tied, Dravise and Drazeros clash with their special moves in a black and white stream. The battle becomes so intense, both Dravise and Drazeros end up reaching their limits. Drazeros has to convince Basara to let them win so they can unleash their true power on Riki.
  • From episode 16,
    • Sumi gets her A Day in the Limelight episode by organizing a huge B-Daman promotion event, to convincing/tricking Asuka to battle Riki, to getting the entire crowd hyped in the match between Riki and Asuka. Plus her “teaching” allows the kids to give Riki his Heroic Second Wind and in the end, Rory nominates Sumi to be the official Crossfire promoter.
      • Riki ends up beating Asuka with only one marble, outracing Asuka’s backspin & curve shot with his own Furious Drive Shot.
    • Riki winning the match for him and Simon versus Yuki and Rudy.
  • Gunner’s arrival in episode 17: saving a little kid from a bull by shooting down a tree with his B-Daman, then tackles said bull and lifts him in a truck.
    • Gunner solidifies his awesomeness in his battle with Asuka from the same episode. After watching Gunner’s astonishing strength, Asuka uses his curve shot to fire a Special Shot to get rid of the yellow block beneath the red block to win with the next point. Gunner decides to change modes, which unleash his Super Shot, and it pushes the block all the way to smash into the red one, winning the game for Gunner.
    • In three Offscreen Moment of Awesome, Reggie somehow was able to get 2 points by Samuru, Riki was able to beat Gunner, and Basara defeated Samuru in their match.
    • Riki vs Basara. The battle between the two managed to be entirely epic. And Drazeros trickery forced Riki and Dracyan to use their Special Move FIVE TIMES just to win . No sports battle in the history of anime went that far.
  • Episode 18 in what can be described as Asuka most awesome moment thus far. After Basara tracks down Riki and his friends in Asuka’s friends hotel, Asuka challenges Basara to a match to protect Riki. Asuka put Basara on the ropes, but purposely went under a mode change. Why? Because Asuka saved up his Super Shot to fire a marble at the hotel security forcing Basara into two situations: leave the hotel to avoid being caught or try to fight the other B-Shots and risk getting in trouble with the security, or worse arrested. Basara ends up choosing the latter. Don’t mess with Asuka.
