• Gyakuten Saiban 5, another Ace Attorney game, was announced on January 29, 2012 for Ace Attorney's 10th Anniversary. Needless to say, many fans were very happy to hear this.
  • And now we have confirmation that Phoenix is gonna be the main character again! Just weeks before the 2012 Tokyo Game Show.
  • The fan base was naturally wary after the second Investigations game got the No Export for You treatment, so when the fifth game was confirmed for localization literally twenty-four hours after the game's official unveiling it would be quite an understatement to say that they breathed a sigh of relief.
  • Apollo's fans were weary if he was going to be involved or not, since Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney was supposed to be the beginning of his story. Then in March 2013, previews revealed an image of an injured Apollo. The following month then confirmed that his uninjured incarnation was playable as well.
  • Then came May 2013 with big news on returning characters. First was Trucy, who was a given with Apollo's confirmation. But revealed alongside her was... Miles Edgeworth?! He's now the Chief Prosecutor and will be taking the bench? Then came the new trailer at the month which sneakily confirmed two more returning characters. Klavier Gavin was one of them, and the other was... Pearl Fey?! For those wanting to know what happened to the original trilogy cast, this was big. Also it was confirmed that both Phoenix's Magatama and Apollo's bracelet will be used in gameplay.
• Shu Takumi is working on a new Ace Attorney project. It is said to be different compared to past Ace Attorney games. The fact that he's working on Ace Attorney again is big news for those who prefer the original creator to be working on them.
  • There's also the fact that the Dual Destinies team is also working on another entry in the series. It's good to know there is more to come for this franchise.
  • Takumi's new game is a PREQUEL THAT TAKES PLACES DURING THE MEIJI PERIOD STARRING PHOENIX'S ANCESTOR?!? AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
