Hamuko is the "shadow of life" theory (Turmoil version, Tournament version here
)
(note this will be expanded on later) In the The Fools' Tournament we know her full name is Hamuko Seikatsu. Seikatsu in Japanese means life. And since she is, well, a shadow. I would be fitting to call her "The Shadow of life." Here are some reasons as to why life is a big deal/theme and is fitting for Hamuko.
- By sacrificing herself she keeps the world alive.
- She appears to be Minato's "reason for living." Now that she's gone he's lost his "life."
- After Minato sees Hamuko again in chapter 6, he becomes more lively again.

Minato taking Nanako's place in the story with him being thrown into the TV makes sense
Dungeon wise, you could say the Fake!Tartarus is very similar to Nanako's Heaven. Heaven was created mostly from Nanako's psyche of wanting to see her dead mother, with a little bit of influence of Namatame's savior complex. F!Tartarus was created mainly out of Minato's psyche in wishing things could go back to when he could see Hamuko again. One may argue Hamuko may have had some influence like Namatame had for Nanako.
- What really connects the two is the lyrics to Nanako's dungeon, as they also fit Minato to a T. Song analysis will begin now:
- I can't get my mind out of those memories Minato is constantly thinking about the Vision Quest World and his memories of it and Hamuko.
- Now time to tell them "don't take my dream Probably about how he hates how Aigis keeps telling him to forget.
- Still music keeps on turning me from the words that hurt my soul...Removing doubts from my mind Minato's not mentioned to be listening to music as often, but we can assume this is related to him daydreaming about his memories with Hamuko.
- Those long days passing by from that door...Like late summer they slowly fade away The "door" could be the Vision Quest Door, and this could represent Minato fearing of his memories fading away and forgetting Hamuko (something not reall mentioned in the fic, but we'll just roll with it)
- Finding ways through the favorite tune....Play all day with my eyes closed "Tune" might not be apparent in Turmoil, but we can assume this tune could be "Memories of You" as it is very prominent in Tournament. Eyes closed is a reference to his constant sleeping/reminiscing.
- I can't remember the smile that you gave to me....I have no way to tell you "don't walk away"..Still sorrow keeps on tying me but my soul wants to get freed...Let my heart loose from a chain Minato maybe having a hard time remembering Hamuko's smile as the days go by, and how he was very vocal about not wanting Hamuko to leave in Tournament. Minato's sorrow/turmoil is the very thing that keeps him from being free, something Hamuko and Aigis can see but he can't.
- The choir continues by changing some of the lyrics to "Finding ways through the favorite thoughts...Cocoon me in floaty bliss" which could be Kaki-kun. And "Finding ways through the favorite friends..Filling me with warm embrace" Which will hopefully be a result of Minato genuinely accepting the IT's friendship and letting go.
