After leaving Ostia, Hector and Matthew head to Pherae, passing through Santauraz. In addition, Oswin and Serra have joined the party, but they won't actually do anything.

Hector attacks the Brigand and Archer while Marcus and Eliwood move into the main part of the map. But before that, weapons are exchanged between Lowen, Rebecca, Dorcas, Bartre, Serra, Oswin, and Matthew. This leaves Eliwood with an Iron Sword and Rapier and Marcus with an Iron Lance, Iron Axe, Iron Sword, Hand Axe, and Silver Lance. Dude is Crazy-Prepared.
Before long, Hector is having trouble taking on the entire enemy force by himself. While Eliwood busies himself with the southern Brigands, Marcus moves to help Hector. Some enemies attacking Oswin, Matthew, and Serra are dispatched while the rest of the bandits move to Hector's zone. After Marcus weakens Zagan, Hector goes in for the kill. Eliwood slowly makes his way to the top, but before long, everything is dead.
