Carter: Previously on Rika's livebloggening of Pooh's Adventures of Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie...
...Winnie and friends are putting on a play, which I'll mention in just a bit. Lerigot escaped to Earth, and Piglet is...searching for a present for Winnie. When he and the rest should have simply figured out that the wizard needed their help. Heartless much?
Carter: Actually, I think I know why that is. The reason why they don't act right away is because they haven't appeared in the story proper. As mentioned, no outside help occurred when the Turbo Rangers did what they had to do. It's simply them going about their business and just reacting to things, not taking action. Then again, it is a play, so...I guess...

My head hurts.
So does mine.
Oh, and about the play thing? I looked up the information about the movie on its Wiki. In fact? It says jack fucking shit about a play. It was shown as if the stuff actually happened. Which, of course, adds even more to the ever-growing confusion in this series.
Carter: So...this doesn't have any sort of continuity?
Well...yes and no. Because to add more to the Mind Screw? It is part of a series. Which means that it's canon to Pooh's Adventures.
Carter: ...you have got to be kidding me.
Inorite? Also, gotta love the fact that most of the summary was copypasted from Wikipedia's page of Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie.
And now we'll continue with...
Tigger laughs and decides that the best way to get things done is to think like a bear. One can only hope that they can think like the cuddly, fuzzy-wuzzy, silly old bear and...yeah. Cut then to Tigger and Rabbit leading Piglet out, and the little guy is carrying a shitload of honey pots.
Carter: ...I'm concerned by how they really don't give a damn about Lerigot. Granted, it's likely that they haven't heard of him, but...
Eventually, we get a montage of Piglet collecting the honey pots. And what's a montage without a little music?
...oh, come on, like you were expecting me to play the obvious.
In any event, the pots are eventually filled with honey. Yep, every single damn one of them. As Rabbit throws the (presumably) last filled honey pot, Piglet loses his grip yet again and falls, taking the pots with him.
Whoops.
Wait. If even this isn't shown in the Wiki's summary, why the hell am I even liveblogging this? Hell, why do I even care about it? It's probably likely that this would never get explained again due to God knows what reason.
I guess I'm a glutton for punishment.
Carter: Somehow, I don't even want to know what it means.
You shouldn't know, Carter.
Piglet is worried that he ruined Winnie's friendship gift, and he wonders what he needs to do now. Rabbit suggests that there's one thing to do.
Rabbit: Get the others and go.
Wait...what the hell does that mean? Don't tell me that after spending twenty minutes with a sequence I don't give a damn about, all of a sudden, it's relevant now?
Piglet: Go? Go where?
Tigger: Why, go to Angel Grove and see our old pal, Zordon.

Just great. All that long build-up for something that's completely different. And I'm pretty sure that Zordon won't help them with the "friendship gift".
Carter: He doesn't.

Anyway, Tigger also mentions that he hasn't seen Zordon ever since they defeated Ivan Ooze. Um, how? Granted, there is the version of Pooh's Adventures of Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers: The Movie, which I may liveblog one day. If its remake doesn't disappear.
Actually, for that matter...
Carter: How will they be able to go to Angel Grove from the Hundred Acre Wood? It's not like they even have transportation or anything that would let them go from world to world. It's not even like they have the technology to move, even!
Good point, Carter, good point.
Oh, and get this. Rabbit claims that the Good Fairy says that Zordon's her father.
Wait...what?! Even I know that Zordon doesn't have any relatives as far as we know! How do they figure? Does BowserMovies1989 even do the fucking research on such things?
Anyway, Piglet asks if he can bring his scrapbook, and Tigger says "yes", going on by saying that they can mention about the time they won against the Galactic Empire. Somehow, I'm willing to believe that they really did jack shit against the Galactic Empire and Ivan Ooze. Because, you know, they totally didn't do anything.
Rabbit decides that they'll leave at dawn. Fade into a transitional part, where it says that after Winnie and his friends entered the Power Chamber...well, we don't know, because cut now to where the Rangers are practicing fight moves for a tournament. And no, it isn't like Kickboxing Academy.
Carter: You know, Rika, you have mentioned this "Kickboxing Academy" thing a few times. What is it?
Something that no mortal man ever dare wants to know. Let's just leave it at that.
Carter: ...okay.
The scenes of the male Rangers training are interspersed with the female Rangers, Katherine and Tanya, played by Catherine Sutherland (no, no relation to Donald Sutherland nor Kiefer Sutherland) and Nakia Burrise, respectively, singing along with the kids. Okay, except for Justin, played by Promoted Fanboy Blake Foster.
Now, everyone knows about how Turbo was pretty much the last season for Catherine, Nakia, Johnny Yong Bosch, and Jason David Frank due to the last actor (some also said that Catherine also followed as well, leaving Nakia and Johnny as the ones who wanted to stay with the show) wanting to do bigger, better things. Cue the four of them getting replaced. Interestingly, it should be mentioned that, aside from starring in a few independent films (including the made-in-1997, released ten years later film The Junior Defenders), Jason did try for the lead role in Kickboxing Academy.
...now that I think about it more, while his acting leaves a lot to be desired, Jason playing Danny and thus become the love interest for Chyler Leigh's character would have almost decreased the squicktacular levels.
Almost.
Anyway, where was I? Ah, yes. And...yep, we all know about this little scene. The scene with Rocky breaking his back. And yes, as we all know, it is said that the reason why he was written out like that is due to Steve Cardenas' real-life back injuries (aside from, again, wanting to do his own thing, which was making his dojo). Damn. Seems to be too close to home.
And sorry if I had to liveblog that part, even though I'm skipping through major chunks of Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie proper. Really, the movie itself could need a separate liveblog on its own, and I will admit that I should have saved the trivia for that time. But...(shrugs) I'm just that kind of person.
Cut to Lerigot's homeworld, and we go to a ship that...seems to be shaped like a fish. Enter Divatox, played by Hilary Shepard Turner. She screeches out, "IDIOTS!", and she points to Elgar...and, apparentally, Bowser Jr. The latter wonders what they did wrong, and Divatox replies that they lost Lerigot. The monsters fight and bicker a bit. BORING. But at least the plot's moving along very well.
Then Divatox rightfully tells the monsters to shut the hell up, because they're giving her a migraine. Suddenly, random Bowser appears, roaring at her this.
Bowser: Migraine? Hah! You better have a plan, or I'll give you a major migraine.
Dude, don't you know who you're talking to? Divatox. The one who managed to beat the Rangers at the very end of Turbo.
...
And no, I don't need those papers, Carter.
Carter: Okay, well...if you need me, let me know.
Anyway. Divatox tells Bowser not to worry, and she has a plan, presumably just reassuring the little figment of her imagination. In fact, let's all chock up to what it pretty much is: as it's random clips of Winnie and his friends (and various villains!) just "interacting" with others (and I mean "interacting" in the very loosest sense), we can all think of their appearances as just figments of their imagination.
Carter: You know, I haven't thought of that. I thought that, really, they're just...there for no good reason at all.
That, too. But I like the imagination thing better. After all, it explains everything in terms of interaction in the Pooh's Adventures universe.
Cut to Earth, where we...see Lerigot trying to survive in Africa. After that, cut to the Power Chamber.
Well, damn. I guess it means that we'll see such meaningless dialogue.
And yep, turns out I was right. As Alpha 5 and Zordon sense the whereabouts of Lerigot, the Good Fairy asks why he would go to Earth, as he can't survive there very long. Zordon just responds that something's wrong, and they begin the search for the Rangers.
Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man: Great. We'll need all the help we can get.
...not you guys. Just Alpha 5 and Zordon. -__-
Cut to the hospital, where the Rangers and Justin visit Rocky. Then Zordon calls them on their communicators, letting them know that Lerigot is on Earth and in grave danger. After saying their good-byes, Tommy, Adam, Katherine, and Tanya teleport to the Power Chamber. And the installment ends with Justin, with wide eyes, realizing that his friends are the Power Rangers.
Carter: Well, that was...short.
Mm, yes, it was, Carter. But...the pain may be brief. It'll get worse.
Carter: ...how much worse can it get?
Much, much worse.
What will happen to Justin since he now knows the Rangers' identities? Will our heroes save Lerigot? And will we ever get an explanation to how Winnie and friends arrive at the Power Chamber?
One who does not fight will not survive the next livebloggening of Pooh's Adventures of Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie.
