C: Alright...Cia, Ellie, get over here.

Ellie: What is it, sir?

C: 'Rica and I just finished training the next batch of troops. We've got enough to properly defend the airfield for a while.

Cia: But that isn't why you called us here.

C: Bingo. We're not gonna wait for them to strike back. We're gonna keep pushing forward, take the next sector. You two will lead the way. We don't need everyone on this.

Ellie: I understand, but why us, specifically?

C: Because you'll be attacking at night. You two specialize in night ops, correct?

Cia: We sure do. We'll do it, C.

C: Excellent. Make us proud.

  • May 28, 2247 hours
  • Drassen (sector 2), Arulco

Ellie: We're here. Team 1, with us. Team 2, to the hangar.

Cia: We'll be out of contact if we split up.

Ellie: I realize that, but I'm sure they can handle themselves. Suppressors equipped?

Cia: Of course.

Ellie: Alright. You two, take point.

Green militia: Moving!

Cia: With you.

(Distant gunfire)

Cia: Looks like our boys have run into trouble already. Hope they're alright.

Ellie: I hear something, southwest of our position... contact! (fires burst)

{Return fire)

Ellie: Taking fire, can't see the shooter!

Cia: Can't see him from here...Dammit, there's one to my left! (turns) Agh, I lost him- wait! I think I've found your shooter!

Ellie: Take the shot!

Cia: Alright, I...ooh. There you are. (fires burst) He's down.

Ellie: Did you get him?

Cia: No, there was one blighter approaching my position. I took care of him.

Green militia: (Fires) I got him for you!

Veteran militia: We're backing your lead, ma'am. These tangos don't know who they're dealing with.

Green militia 2: Aaaaah!

Ellie: Dammit! Man down! Up ahead, another tango!

Veteran: We're engaging him. Move up, watch your intervals.

Ellie: Got a hit!

Cia: Oh blast, two more!

Nearby militia: Enemy spotted!

Cia: Where did you guys come from?! Ah, no matter. I'll kill ya! Ha ha!

Ellie: I got this one! (fires more rounds than intended) Whoops. Well, I still got him!

Cia: Nngh, feck! That was a graze!

Ellie: I see the muzzle flash!

Soldier: (Misses)

Veteran: You kidding? (RAPES THE SHIT OUT OF THAT SOLDIER) That's how it's done.

Cia: Alright, we are Oscar Mike!

And the recording glitched out again. I really need to do something about that. (OOC: Damn you, Fraps!) I recieved the After-Action Report from C, though. It was a clean sweep, no further casualties. We've taken the sector. Now, all that remains is the mine. We're not attacking right away, though. I'll have the team check around for anything useful. Nimitz out.

No massive Drassen Counterattack, right? Pity.

Ahh, the Drassen Counterattack is quite a challenge.

Still, odd choice of tactics to take along only two members and a handful of militia, I must say. Not necessarily a bad choice, but not one I'm used to. I've played JA 1 and DG, and Vanilla 2, so the idea of working with militia on the offensive seems a little odd to me.

And we prove yet again that we're total badasses.

Okay, I've gotten the latest 1.13, and after a few hiccups, I'm about to start. I expect productivity in my liveblog to drop like a mortar shell.

The massive counterattack would take me forever to beat back. I always shut it off when I play 1.13. Sorry. :P

@TL: For the most part, the militia can handle themselves. In fact, they could take an entire sector by themselves. I don't need to bring everyone to the fight.

I totally sympathize. I have it enabled, and I figure I've got a day or two before it hits; I expect to get my ass kicked.

The one trick I did is to completely fall back. It seems the counterattack is only interested in the mine, (At least, it didn't rampage all through Drassen in my playthrough) so let them have it, then engage in night geurilla warfare. Pop into the mine sector, kill a few soldiers, and fall back to the previous sector. Repeat... A LOT!

Mine seemed to bug out, I ended up fighting a platoon, andthe company of reinforcements just disappeared.
  • Of course, that just makes me paranoid, staring out into the jungle...

I did the Drassen counterattack.

After about twenty real minutes of constant shooting, my mercs ran out of ammo.

I had to kill a guy by throwing a helmet into his face. I kid you not.

Made a thread in the Videogames forum.

Also, I can't seem to alt-lmb sell anything; anyone else have this problem?

Sorry for the delay, folks. I got a new PC for Christmas, and I'm currently transferring my files from my old one to this one. The new update will come, I assure you.
