Time spent on the ice this morning: appx. 40 mins.
Injury Report: Fell onto my hip again, but very lightly, don't think it'll make the bruise worse and it doesn't hurt. Banged my other knee and I can feel it. That one will leave a bruise.
This time the ice was COMPLETELY EMPTY except for me. Awesome! I left my iPod at home this time so it wouldn't throw off my balance and took off my jacket so I would have more range of movement. Still managed to work up a bit of a sweat. I'm making (slight) progress on the spin, and attempted some twizzles, which I've read are supposed to be harder. But they're chained back-to-back three-turns (forward-backward one foot turns), which I've been practicing, so I started to get the hang of that a little bit already. The only thing is, they also require doing a 3-turn from backwards to forwards, which I still haven't quite got the hang of. I was still doing ok for a first attempt, I think.
Verdict: A little progress. I think no iPod and no jacket definitely helped - better balance and freedom of movement. More practice needed, obviously. As always.
